Reviews for Sands Casino Resort Bethlehem

Review 1:Long wait at check in and I asked for a non smoking room when I placed the reservation, but did not receive one.

Review 2:Just about everything. This is my third trip to the Sands Casino and each trip is more exciting than the last. My favorite casino. From outside Philadelphia I have been to the two closest ones and I rate this the best.

Review 3:I asked for an upgrade to bigger room was travelling w/my elderly parents and was told "sold out" I find that really hard to believe but maybe was true ..

Review 4:Karmen from Housekeeping was very nice

Review 5:the bar staff in coil was extremely rude, the shower in the room wasn't properly cleaned, the continental breakfast service area was a total mess, understocked and lacking service ware/plateware and napkins, tables were left dirty and unattended

Review 6:check in/out convenience, all encompassing activities under one roof (ie;dining, casino, entertainment, shopping)

Review 7:We arrived excited and in the holiday spirit only to be greeted with a cold professionalism that left us feeling agitated. I feel there is a more courteous and friendly way to get the rules across.

Review 8:We like the atmosphere and making our annual Christmas visit. The rooms are spacious and comfortable and we always get a nice view (rm 1213).

Review 9:There did not seem to be a concierge - at least not at night. The front desk wasn't too sure about local activities which would have been helpful as we were first time visitors. Also, the front desk made us a reservation for Emeril's Burgers -but they don't take them for parties of less than 8 - so we did not have a reservation. It was a bit tricky with a minor in the party. It worked out in the end.

Review 10:The hotel was very comfortable and rooms quiet which was a bit surprising considering the size of the casino and proximity to rail road. Room size was very large which was appreciated with party of 3.

Review 11:1. Was not told about elevator, putting key in. Not everyone travels all the time and is aware of this. 2. Was not told about breakfast, we had to search this out for our selfs.

Review 12:Not sure yet

Review 13:Everything was excellent

Review 14:Excellent check in staff very friendly and professional was very helpful and informative They were very helpful with me putting me on a waiting list for New Years Even though I am from Jersey for the time I played and lost I should be invited and even though this is survey it should be relayed to the Sands

Review 15:The lack of WiFi throughout the resort as a whole is a let down. If you want to check emails you have to return to your room. Free breakfast was a little basic.

Review 16:Hotel is clean and comfortable. The staff really friendly and happy to help.

Review 17:I DIDN'T LIKE THAT AT LEAST 10 PEOPLE THAT I SAW ACTUALLY SLEEPING AT THE SLOT MACHINES AND HEADS ON TABLES THAT WERE IN THE BUFFET AND GRILL AREA. REALLY NOT COOL. IT DOESN'T GIVE A GOOD IMPRESSION. OTHERWISE ALL DEALERS AND SECURITY WERE VERY NICE :). MAYBE ANOTHER RESTAURANT? BOTH EMERILS WERE EXCELLENT. STEAK AND ITALIAN

Review 18:STAFF WERE PLEASANT AND ACCOMMODATED US AND SO WAS HOUSEKEEPING!!!!! :)

Review 19:We visited Bethlehem for family weekend with our college student daughter. It was nice to have parking and late night food so available. Also, my two daughters were able to take in a concert to their liking at the events center -- added bonus!

Review 20:For the cost I think continental breakfast could offer fresher bagels better selection of cold cereal, make your own waffles I don't care for Starbucks coffee that's all they had.

Review 21:Room was quite comfortable great security.

Review 22:Check in was a nightmare!! All guests had to wait until 3 to check in . Lines were crazy and only a few staff were at check in desks . One man in wheelchair had waited hours for his room. I'm sure there was at least one clean room available ... People were very angry and it was not a pleasant start to the stay .

Review 23:Location

Review 24:Requested early check-in and was told it was available based on availability. When we arrived at 11am told absolutly no check in till 3. Some people were there waiting since 930 am.

Review 25:Room was hot when we arrived.. took a while to cool down. Casino floor was also uncomfortably warm.

Review 26:All staff was courteous. Entertainment at venue and in casino bar were excellent. Nice size casino. All of property was well maintained.

Review 27:Standing in line outside the event center for 1hour and 15mins was inconsiderate. No one was told why the show was 1 hour late. Some advance email or notice would have been appropriate.

Review 28:Casino was dirty and smelled bad. Poor air quality.

Review 29:Staff was wonderfully friendly and helpful. Room was very comfortable. Architecture and design elements were interesting.

Review 30:I think the rate was a little high. I have stayed at many high end hotels and the rates were much more competitive.

Review 31:It was convenient as I was seeing a show.

Review 32:There wasn't to much to do in the area and the free breakfast at Emril's Italian Table was just your average continental breakfast with no hot foods.

Review 33:The Sands Casino resort has beautiful facilities with wonderful customer service and the added benefit of a casino, restaurants, and outlet shops all right on site.

Review 34:I didn't like that none of the stores had bathing suits for sale as I wasn't able to swim in the pool because I forgot to bring one.

Review 35:I enjoyed the fact that the rooms seemed secure because of the necessary key card needed to enter the elevators. I also liked the fact that there was so much to do in the resort.

Review 36:Breakfast was poor considering the high quality of the hotel. Breakfast was cold food only - we've stayed in less expensive hotels that offered free waffels and pancakes.

Review 37:Closeness to concert venue

Review 38:The cigarette smoke--smelled it in the hallways (but my room was totally clear) and everywhere around the casino and outlets. Came home with sinus headache.

Review 39:The room was quiet, fitness room was excellent (although I needed wipes or something for machines when I finished, but water was a nice touch), breakfast was ample and quick, and staff everywhere were happy and helpful.

Review 40:Shower was poor doesn't look like a hotel reminding me of college dorm or motel potentially can spread germs. Fridge was not working. No microwave available. Lack of proper warm comforters. Lack of fully wrapped cups for sanitary reasons. Not enough coffee. Poor lighting with no proper instructions anywhere to remind us to put card key into designated slot to activate lighting. Staff at check in was not informative. Parking and hotel entrance/casino access were super long and inconvenient. Staff at breakfast were not kind and not cooperative. Pricing is expensive for a dorm like stay ($300/night).

Review 41:Nothing

Review 42:Pretty pricey. Spent more money than usual because it is attached to a mall and casino but there's not much around unless u drive 15min away.

Review 43:The most comfortable beds!!! No bathtub but a beautiful shower.

Review 44:Ordered room service and a 18 percent charge was added to the bill which I found out by adding the bill up myself. Unfortunately I had given the boy a 20 percent tip at the door upon delivery. When I called management to find out if the extra charge was the tip I was told no but then I looked in your room and in tiny print at the bottom of the room service menu, it said an 18 percent service charge will be added to all bills.

Review 45:When I complained to the management about the above problem he returned my money. I also liked that everything wad clean and comfortable. I will return often.

Review 46:The bed wasn't that comfortable.

Review 47:Loved the restaurants, casino, and having the option to browse through the outlets. There is a great coffee shop in the strip of shops.

Review 48:The bed didn't have a fitted sheet Not enough linen Wasn't aware that $50 hold would be placed on my credit card for each nights stay Staff could be nicer and more inviting No Valet parking

Review 49:Casino Late night food One stop shop/ everything you need under one roof Fun

Review 50:We stayed overnight for the Bill Maher show and truly enjoyed ourselves. Property was clean and comfortable. Staff was extremely helpful and friendly. Food options were great. Connecting outlets a plus. Sands Bethlehem puts Atlantic City to shame.

Review 51:We didn't have a bad experience. The layout of the Casino/Hotel is rather odd.

Review 52:The venue for the show we attended. The choices for restaurants. The staff.

Review 53:Just the buffet restaurant but all the other out of this world...

Review 54:There breakfast for free not so good, but everything else is great love being there and will keep going.

Review 55:Old no support mattress. Light flooded into room in the morning even with curtains closed.

Review 56:Efficient friendly high quality staff. Excellent food quality and service.

Review 57:Not happy with bed linens and pillows were of poor quality . No options for pillow choices. Could improve choices of breakfast selections. Many high carbohydrate choices Not Enough protein.

Review 58:Staff helpful and friendly.

Review 59:The only thing I was upset about was not seeing the Hotel had a pool posted on the website. I may have missed it though I did specifically look to see if there was a pool. Not seeing it advertised we did not bring swim suits.... when we arrived we saw the pool right outside the lobby. Next time I know to bring my suit.

Review 60:The room was cozy and clean. Hotel and casino staff were all polite and friendly. They made us feel special on our anniversary. The Hotel was laid out nice, it was easy to find your way around. There is a great variety of slot machines also. We will definitely be going back to the Sands Casino Resort Bethlehem.

Review 61:Only problem I had I booked a smoking room and when we arrived the room was non-smoking. I don't smoke so not a big deal but it did slightly inconvenience one member of our group.

Review 62:We had a smoking room, which we requested, but there is no ventilation for the smoke. When you have several people smoking in the small room it was unbearable. A ceiling fan might help with the circulation of smoke inside the room.

Review 63:We loved being able to stay right at the casino for our stay.

Review 64:Of course there is nothing that can be done about it, but it made me sad that people take up (2) machines for the entire day and night. My Mom couldn't sit near me because a woman was playing both machines.

Review 65:I loved that everything was pretty much on the same floor. I loved walking through the mall to the casino. I loved that there was smoking rooms and areas in the hotel.

Review 66:Long walk to casino, not informed Reservations needed at some restaurants, pillows very uncomfortable, distressed looking scenery, construction in progress made travel rough, key insert for lights

Review 67:Restaurants

Review 68:Some sort of deodorizer pumped through the hvac system was way too strong sometimes triggering allergies. No blankets! Slept with clothes on. Husband can't sleep with heat up.

Review 69:Convenience and ease of use of the entire facility. The Cesar Millan show was awesome.

Review 70:I did not like the fact that you can hear everything going on in the rooms around us . Very inappropriate noises were being heard . It was not easy task explaining to children .

Review 71:Pool too cold, breakfast extremely basic. Named resort, but no real resort services included in price. Luxury price backpacker amenities.

Review 72:Near interesting neighborhoods.

Review 73:Non smoking section has a giant smoking bar in the middle of it. Restaurants are not child freindly, you can't get to any of them with a security guard escort even the ones that are adjacent, with small children they can't always wait until the guards can get to you in time

Review 74:Kids club was awesome feature

Review 75:I had forgot that they stopped serving liquor at a certain time on Saturday night.

Review 76:I loved the shopping. My husband & I enjoy Atlantic city, but this place has the best of both worlds. He loves to gamble, while I love to shop.I especially loved that they had a variety of activities to do. The night clubs, the bands, the bars oh my!

Review 77:Asked for a late checkout and was told "No....they'd already reached their limit on that special service". Uh.....what? Checkout is at 11. At $200 a night they should accommodate a noon checkout. Ridiculous.

Review 78:Check out time should be later. ATM fees were excessive.

Review 79:Room on upper floor was quiet and had nice view.Very clean and well presented. Food options were good quality, but pricey.

Review 80:The wifi was almost unusable. I could get email, but couldn't use VPN or load apps. The TV was small and the channels are limited.

Review 81:The staff did a good job, but I didn't see much of them. The room was clean and spacious.

Review 82:restaurant not close to the hotel.have problems walking on concrete floor and the distance to the restaurant cause a few problems with my back in walking.

Review 83:front desk at check in, valet parkingand Bell man, very courteous and friendly. Also not to forget accommodating.the room was very clean and comfortable.

Review 84:security was strange. I felt they could have been more customer service oriented and didn't like that they wore pseudo-police uniforms. also I felt the casino smelled and didn't have good air quality. furthermore I have never seen more intoxicated people walking (and falling) around... and we have been to vegas, AC and Connecticut casinos.. this being the worse.

Review 85:it was close so we arrived Friday after work and were able to enjoy the evening.

Review 86:There was nothing that I didn't like.

Review 87:Everything. The slots, the restaurants, the free continental breakfast, the beautiful room, the outlets, the parking, loved it all.

Review 88:Carping in room 907 needed to be cleaned or replaced....the dresser where TV was on,the bottom was scratched pretty heavily ,could tell vacuum cleaner kept hitting it..

Review 89:Beds were very comfortable..very quiet ,could not hear other people in next room..continental breakfasts was okay...the staff in the hotel were very, very nice..

Review 90:The shower even when closed did not keep the water in the shower. It got the floor outside all wet and I had to clean it twice

Review 91:Bed was very comfortable the room was clean and well take care of

Review 92:Nothing not to like.

Review 93:I love the size of the room. The tv is bigger than most hotels. Omg!! the bathrooms were amazing I liked that the sink and mirror was outside. Nice. Loved the food so good.

Review 94:room was a not dusted, bed was a tad uncomfortable, could not bring alcohol in to eating area near outlets.

Review 95:large room, excellent AC system, nice view, quick elevators, easy check in/out,

Review 96:I wish our stay could have been longer. The shopping looked fabulous!

Review 97:We loved the design of the building. The room was beautiful and cozy with perfectly wonderful beds and pillows. The restaurants were fabulous and opened for food and drink at all hours. A perfect ending to our day!

Review 98:I did not like a partial Bathroom. I totally prefer a full Bathroom, and if I had known about the fact that the sink was in the foyer, I would not have booked at the Sands. Also, when I wanted to search for a restaurant in Bethlehem, I could not find a telephone book in the room.

Review 99:Room was not ready for almost 2 hours after the 3pm check in. This did not give good first impression of facility . Since I called three times confirming plans and room prior. Also even requested a 2pm check in if possible . Got there at 3:20pm and was told room not available do to housekeeping running behind and late check outs ., not my issue .... Could of been handled better . Never happens at Hyatt , Hilton or Vegas trips before ( first time)

Review 100:Clean, excellent facility

Review 101:The breakfast was a disappointment..I wanted a hot breakfast, maybe scambled eggs or waffles..if we new it was going to be bagel, fruit and yogart we would have made plans to go to a diner after check-out..

Review 102:The ease of checking-in upon arrival. The staff kindess and smiling faces. The great choice of resturants The room was so clean and peacful, tastefully decorated.

Review 103:The continental breakfast sucked casino bets some to high Resturants to high hotel price to high given five dollars free start after getting a gambling sands card not enough to cheap

Review 104:The outlets and some Resturants

Review 105:Someone else's lipstick on the "clean" glass in my room.

Review 106:Perfect location for Musikfest. Super comfortable beds. Attached outlet mall and great restaurants. Love the mix of the new Sands in with the old Bethlehem Steel property.

Review 107:Rooms so so, little value for the $300 per night..pre pay for breakfast before you sit down?? unheard of. The buffet was not very appetizing and we opted for menu we had a late checkout and were locked out of the elevator at 12:05 when we were actually shopping to give the center more $$ Did not feel like a welcome guest --more like a suspected cheat or criminal

Review 108:I liked the location and the preservation of steel memory Very kind to my son with severe allergies

Review 109:To expensive. And the included breakfast was continental and nowhere did it say that! I expected a real breakfast for the price!the eggs Saturday sucked.need waffles considering the price we paid for the room.

Review 110:Beds were excellent and comfortable

Review 111:The (free) breakfast was very disappointing. Not a single hot item (no eggs, no sausage, no hashbrown, ....). When I inquired, I was told that these items were only available on weekends. For a hotel of this caliber, this stood out as a "cheap" note.

Review 112:Modern, very comfortable hotel with casino and shops outlets on site. few minutes by car from the city center of Bethlehem.

Review 113:Having to complain about the mess on the bathroom floor. I called when we got in the room, called again, had to stop at the front desk to get results, finally it was cleaned. I don't like when the floor is a mess, the rest of the room was clean at least.

Review 114:The Bed, it was great, just like goldie locks,

Review 115:pool water was a little too cold and my daughter was getting sick.

Review 116:Everything was as expected. Staff was friendly, food was good, and our overall stay was great.

Review 117:Smoking in the casino.

Review 118:Spacious, clean, contemporary rooms with friendly, efficient staff, in a good, revitalized area of Bethlehem. Free parking, too.

Review 119:Need more eating facilities late @ night

Review 120:Friendliness & polite service very clean rooms & beds very comfortable! Nice mountain view of Bethlehem pa! I will come back

Review 121:Casio was so close..LOL

Review 122:Parked 100 feet away, check in wait was a minute, 20 feet to elevator, card access to elevator and room, super cool card access once in room, couple minute walk to concert hall, couple minute walk back to room after excellent concert. No traffic jams in and out after concert. Casino was so close. Beds were so comfortable. House keeping was soooo pleasant

Review 123:No microwave in room. And bathroom fan didn't work. The staff never mentioned the security deposit of 50$. I went home and thought they overcharged me. Overall I was pleased. A little pricey though.

Review 124:Liked the location. Have many things to do around hotel.

Review 125:really fun option for a group of friends going to have a fun night. We saw a concert, walked around and shopped, ate and gambled all in same place. Food court open late night which was key and aside from the super sensitive security guards who banned us from casino at 10pm because one girl tripped, it was a good time. clean hotel, lots to do.

Review 126:The waitresses didn't come around often enough while playing at the machine, and for a few hours, while we were in the premier slot room, no one could find a waitress.

Review 127:The rooms were spacious and comfortable; the casino was big, fun and there was always a spot at any given slot machine. Shows are offered almost nightly, and the band we saw perform at the lounge was incredible.

Review 128:Room prices were too much

Review 129:restaurants are very good

Review 130:Breakfast needs to iinclude some eggs, sausag

Review 131:A smoking area on the casino floor.

Review 132:Everything except the smoking area. I have been a customer since the day this casino opened.

Review 133:Micro wave

Review 134:Hit a jackpot at casino..so super trip

Review 135:The pillows in the room.

Review 136:The music at the Casino..plus the restarants were great.

Review 137:More service at The bars not staffed enought for service

Review 138:Good was excellent
