Reviews for Inn on La Loma Plaza
Review 1:We killed two bugs in our room. Might have come from the wood in the rooms for fire place. We didn't light our fireplace but I didn't like that we could smell the smoke in our room from other people using their fireplace.
Review 2:Room was great. Location was great. Liked the ambiance.
Review 3:We visited in early December. For an off season visit the Inn was over priced. We had to pay $450 for 2 nights with breakfast included, prepaid well in advance of the visit.. Even in peak season times, I would think that the tariff charged is a bit too high. The breakfast provided was very average. There were not enough choices for vegetarians. For the kind of big bucks that we were charged for staying at the Inn, the breakfast should have been much better. The residential rooms were small and cozy, but lacked the very modern conveniences that one would expect from a $225.00 a night Inn. The parking area was inconveniently located at a lower level than the main building, and walking up the steps to reach the residential rooms was a bit of a strain. Although the management stated in its brochure that help was available to carry luggage, such help was limited to a few hours around check in time. There was not enough lighting in the parking area. Although motion sensor triggered lights would light up in the parking area, the entire area was uncomfortably dark most of the time.
Review 4:The Inn had a rustic charm and its many public rooms were warmly appointed and accented with antiques and interesting books and pictures. The Inn was within walking distance of the main Plaza. Its location was excellent.
Review 5:Best stay! Loved our innkeeper and staff; very accommodating. This was the best appointed inn in all of our stay in New Mexico through ABQ and Santa Fe. So many details attended to.. Amazing
Review 6:The view from our room was not very good. The grounds need some attention and upgrading.
Review 7:The room was very nicely decorated. We enjoyed the intimacy and ambiance of the inn.
Review 8:Room whilst not dirty could do with a refurb. Twenty minutes walk to Plaza but first part is unlit with no sidewalk.
Review 9:Beautiful lodge, nice grounds and public rooms. Excellent breakfast.
Review 10:in our room, the bathroom, while functional, was in need of a makeover!
Review 11:Wonderfully peaceful location, historic building set in gardens with mature trees. Room comfortable and breakfast very good. Owners / staff very helpful. 5 minutes walk from the plaza area
Review 12:From the parking lot to main lobby area there is no bannister on a steep set of stairs. Rather difficult to climb. However innkeepers showed us an accessible side gate. If you have mobility issues be sure to speak up
Review 13:The in keeps were most helpful. They are incredibly interesting and engaging people. Room was comfortable. Bathroom has very safety placed grab bars. The breakfast was creative, delicious and used some ingredients grown on site. A very good stay.
Review 14:That we couldn't stay longer to play with Lacey, have more breakfasts and have more fun speaking with Peggy and Jerry.
Review 15:This is a marvelous place to stay, just a short walk (less than .5 Mile) to the Taos downtown plaza area, Kit Carson Park, shopping, etc. We stayed three nights and each breakfast was better than the one previous. The grounds are beautiful and each sleeping room is wonderfully different. Peggy and Jerry run a spectacular B&B. If you wish to stay in a comfortably unique B&B Inn in Taos, you won't go wrong with the Inn on La Loma Plaza. Also, the property boss, Lacey, one of the prettiest and smartest English Springer Spaniels on the continent just adds to the fun and entertainment at this marvelous Inn.
Review 16:Old VCR-TV set
Review 17:Proximity to the Taos Plaza, the historic La Loma area and the Harwood Museum. Very comfortable king sized bed and linen; hot steam shower was great.
Review 18:Venue had a large "private" dinner that took over the location, lawn and all the parking. Would have been nice to have warned since location is so small. Owner seemed a little put off because we inquired about start and strike of this event..
Review 19:History and location
Review 20:Beauftiful facility in a great location to the center of Taos. Jerry and Peggy were very helpful in making dinner reservations and in generally providing information on attractions. Will definitely return there.
Review 21:The Inn at La Loma Plaza is the cutest destination! It's very conveniently located to downtown, and the rooms are adorable. The staff is very accommodating and friendly, and the breakfast was outstanding. It's a little pricy but you get the value for the money. I highly recommend this place.
Review 22:Small room, tiny bed, Taos traffic. Queen bed was really a double. Bedroom was small, bathroom, big. Layout for continental breakfast was poor causing logjams around coffee as guests congregated for breakfast choices.
Review 23:Location, easy walking distance to Taos Plaza. Jerry was very helpful host, offering helpful advice on area and scenic route to Santa Fe.
Review 24:Only small issue is the rain shower head needs to be descaled and the faucets in the bathroom sinks also either need descaled or a new ring inserted. The spray in both was all over the place. You could also hear the traffic driving by early in the morning, in the suite we were in. Nothing they can really do or it would take away from historical aspect of the place. Just sleep with a little music on.
Review 25:Each room is themed to region and furniture hand made by local artisans. Amazing hot breakfast freshly made each morning.
Review 26:The Inn is well maintained and the owners are hospitable and always available to help make your stay comfortable! As others have written, the breakfasts are delicious and you can ask any area attraction questions and get fast and full guidance. We loved their dog Lacy who came right out and led us into the Inn. Rooms are comfortable but small and have a lot of furniture in them making space for your luggage a challenge. Liked the fireplace but if you have a room with a patio, be prepared to climb out of a window to get to it. It's not easy access.
Review 27:Lots of steps from parking lot but they do have a level area by gate
Review 28:Breakfast nice big room fireplace spa tub rain shower big couch rocking chair all equal comfort.
Review 29:The inn exceeded our expectations- and we were snow skiers! Our host made each dinner reservation for us and we always had a great dining experience! You can walk to town easily and the rooms are lovely!
Review 30:We arrived very early and was able to check in at that time. We were also up graded from a queen to a king room with a kitchen. The décor was fitting to the southwestern motif. The room was clean & cozy and decorated in the Taos style. We would have liked alittle more wood to burn in the kiva fireplace but we also didn't ask for any because it was sooo cold out. The room was still warm with just the thermostat heater. Within walking distance to plaza. The breakfast was excellent. Continental with also a hot seasonal dish. Wish I had the recipe. Only stayed 1 night but would recommend and stay again.
Review 31:Perhaps slightly pricey and sometimes the amazing collection of ornaments drifts over into needing a good tidy up! But otherwise awesome.
Review 32:Had such a great night here in a wood cladded room filled with eclectic ornaments and furniture. Asked for a vegn breakfast and I was treated to a great dish conjured just for me.
Review 33:Would have loved to stay longer...
Review 34:The room was exceptional. We were upgraded, but even without that, would have enjoyed the room originally booked. The breakfast was probably the best we've ever had as an amenity, the staff very helpful and friendly. Special thanks to Peggy who offered to return a charger I'd left in the room. Very unique town, matched by these accommodations.
Review 35:I really did not like that we had to leave. This whole checking out thing was not cool. We would have preferred to have stayed longer.
Review 36:Serious tranquility. I had been NOT sleeping in my hotel in downtown Santa Fe. I forgot what sleep was like. I LOVE THIS PLACE. I LOVE THE OWNERS!
Review 37:The Inn is by far our Favorit Place, it has the cosy feeling of being extremely comfortable, with the fireplace, the thoughtfully decorated rooms, perfect beds, and wonderful warm breakfast. Also the city is very close, almost walkable distance. The owner is extremly friendly and helpful, and he gave us our favorite room nr 5. We will return for sure! Thanks for all, Uschi (Germany) and Claude (France)
Review 38:nothing
Review 39:staff was friendly and laid back. Room was very comfortable and had all amenities. Very good for walking around town. Dog friendly. Excellent food at breakfast. Staff very helpful.
Review 40:We had a lovely time and have already recommend others to stay at Inn on La Loma Plaza. Jerry and Peggy are very warm and accommodating host. We will be back!
Review 41:The owners were very welcoming and friendly, the room was comfortable and tastefully decorated as was the entire facility. The breakfasts were substantial and very good. We would stay here again!
Review 42:All was great, no complaints.
Review 43:The location was perfect. The Inn itself is a beautiful reflection of the culture of Taos. Everything was top quality and anyone would enjoy a stay here. We would definitely stay here again and probably longer.
Review 44:When all is exceptional, what can anyone dis-like? Perfection cannot be criticized.
Review 45:From the moment you step in, you are aware of exceptional amenities, gracious hosts, beautiful and well-cared for surroundings. Toped off, by a light gourmet breakfast to start one off on the days journey.
Review 46:Cramped old room, and farther from the Taos plaza than we would like.
Review 47:Lovely grounds, mostly well preserved very old inn. Great Innkeeper. Beautiful common areas, excellent breakfasts.
Review 48:I know so many online reviews talk about how great this place. But, we did not find that at all. We found it to be very old and cluttered. Online it advertised that it had a Jacuzzi, but it was cemented in. We did not find a cozy comfortable at all. We wish in hindsight that we had stayed at a chain hotel. Just wasn't for us and we will not be back.
Review 49:The flowers outside.
Review 50:Nothing. It's a great spot and we'd stay again.
Review 51:Wonderful setting, caring owners, luxurious appointments, nice outdoor area for sitting and relaxing.
Review 52:Visited 15 yrs ago & was very impressed. Returned & picked up were left off. Peggy & Jerry are kept the stand in time perfect! A lovely place. Recommend to all.

Review 57:Fireplace Smoke filled room from previous occupants. Way over priced. Physical access very very difficult.
Review 58:Clean

Review 60:Far too expensive.
Review 61:Interesting rooms.
Review 62:The location to most everything is in walking distance. Wonderful old world venue with minders amenities
Review 63:The breakfast was wonderful! Each room was individually decorated with a theme, which makes it interesting. The bathroom is a bit tight.
Review 64:We stayed in a historic place. A lot of character and the staff were super friendly and efficient.
Review 65:Location/view...was not great for summer but probably improves in winter.
Review 66:Very nice...just a bit high for the location.
Review 67:Could not ask for anything more beautiful view the host was Great

Review 89:The setting & convenience.
Review 90:Having to leave.
Review 91:The inn keepers were very friendly and welcoming. The free upgrade on arrival was a lovely surprise. The included breakfasts were light and creative. An excellent experience all round.
Review 92:Our breakfast the 2nd day was disappointing - - a fritatta that had been prepared earlier, frozen, and not properly re-heated, served with pinto beans. The link sausage was OK, but we had to re-heat everything in the microwave
Review 93:The room was cozy & uniquely appointed, even though not spacious. Loved the fireplace, which we were able to enjoy even in mid-May. Breakfast our 1st day was excellent - - sausage gravy & biscuit a pleasant surprise. The Innkeeper was very helpful with dinner recommendations.
Review 94:Water pressure - weak.
Review 95:Rooms and grounds - comfortable, clean, inviting, peaceful, attractive, with a warm, southwestern feel. Innkeepers and staff - helpful and friendly, flexible and accommodating.

Review 97:The owner did everything he could to make us comfortable and our stay at Toas pleasant. Above and beyond. The Kitchen is great. Room was fantastic. Lobby and dining area as nice as can be.
Review 98:The bed in our room was very uncomfortable the TVs are very out dated and small.

Review 102:Nothing
Review 103:Loved the energy and peaceful surroundings. The room was super nice and the breakfast was by far the best of any recent travels. Choose a fireplace room for a really great experience .
Review 104:The price was pretty steep. With tax, the Anasazi cost around $400! So,only because it was our anniversary, I went for it. The place isbeautiful, but for that amount I think a bottle of wine should beincluded, or some other add-on.
Review 105:We stayed in the "penthouse suite" the Anasazi. It is a neweraddtion off the main home. Beautiful and luxurious. More space than thetwo of us needed, but perfect for anniversary or special occasion.Breakfast was delicious and beautifully displayed.
Review 106:That I couldn't stay longer.
Review 107:The staff was exceptional, the full breakfasts with Yogurt drinks were a great way to start the day, the room was romantic and it was walking distance to Old Town. I miss Lacey, the greeter.
Review 108:Room was a little cramped, but charming. Sink faucet placement made it difficult to use.
