Reviews for Fulya Pension
Review 1:Felt it was overpriced for a pension and we have stayed in many. The breakfast area could have been cleaner.
Review 2:Easy walk from bus station and view from the room was phenomenal! Good breakfast and coffee.
Review 3:There isn't actually much to do in the area, but it's very picturesque and the pension is in a perfect location.
Review 4:Great location, nice, clean and comfortable room, good breakfast and friendly staff.
Review 5:The cleaning of the room could have been better.
Review 6:Great view from the breakfast area, which is a very cosy place to have a beer in evening as well, and very friendly staff with good knowledge of english; Always willing to help.
Review 7:The area generally is not great. We stopped here on the way from capadoccia to the turquoise coast and feel like it was a bit of a waste of a night- nothing really to see or do in the town
Review 8:The owner of the hotel was great- very helpful. We stayed at fulya pension, but this is the most expensive of three different accommodations owned by the same person. The others are more hostel style. Be aware that breakfast is offered at a communal place between the three places. It's is a nice breakfast, but there will be backpackers etc in and out. The restaurant food is great though!
Review 9:Muslum the host waited for me until late night. He's very kind, friendly and willing to help. He gave me directions about Egirdir and helped me out with bus ticket booking. The room was comfy and spacious. The breakfast was abundant and very good.
Review 10:Excellent location, close to the lake beach and amazing area to explore. Accommodation has very high standard, clean and quiet. Staff very supportive, excellent meals. The view from the restaurant is amazing.
Review 11:The willingness and ability to arrange trips; the fact that the staff always went the extra mile; the way the management had really studies the needs of its customers; the magnificence and variety of the breakfast with really good coffee; excellent wifi reception in my room; beautiful views of the lake from my room and from the restaurant area.
Review 12:Fulya has slightly better rooms than the other two guest houses so prices are higher (Charly's has backpacker dormitories for example) but there is no room service, so cups and saucers not cleaned, no replacement of tea or coffee. Lighting on stairs poor when coming in building. Internet intermittent (but worked first class at Charly's). Only small things. I would still recommend them (M and I) to anyone planning to go to Egirdir.
Review 13:Fulya Pension is a mixture of backpacker and hotel. Muslum and Ibrahim who run this and two other guest houses are extremely helpful and speak a range of languages. The "common area" is actually at Charly's Pension and is a balcony overlooking a couple of coves - breathtaking scenery. Very good breakfast buffet. They offer evening meals although I did not eat there. They offer tours, which although could be done cheaper by adventurous backpackers, are reasonably priced for normal tourists without transport, e.g. Sagalossos.
Review 14:Water at the breakfast and/or in the room would be highly appreciates.
Review 15:The host's availability, the beautiful room with an incredible view on the lake, good beddings, the "pain perdu" at the breakfast,...
Review 16:Cleanliness was not good - sheets were not changed from previous guests (hair & stains) and floor desperately needs sweeping/vacuuming. Air con turns on but does not actually work (Needs to be repaired). Pension seems to be fairly new with some parts still unfinished. Staff are not on site but at nearby Charley Pension. Wifi did not work at all during our stay, but it will be fixed soon. Limited street parking.
Review 17:Simple & comfortable room with lovely lake views. Staff were nice at check-in offering apple tea on arrival & guide books of local area. Traditional Turkish breakfast included at nearby Charley Pension. Great location for walking along lake & easy walk to town centre.
Review 18:Unfortunately, our room had a musty smell, which other reviewers have noted, so choose your room carefully. Another problem is the pension's close proximity to the mosque loudspeakers. Our trip was in June (long days, short nights), and we were woken up nightly at 3:30am by the pre-dawn call-for-prayer. Our visit coincided with Ramadan, so we were also woken up nightly at 2:30am by an exuberant drummer, reminding people to eat before sunrise. Thus, we didn't sleep well. But this problem wouldn't happen in winter.
Review 19:Fulya is one of several pensions owned by the same people. Thus, although we stayed in Fulya Pension, breakfast was in Charly's Pension, a few steps away. The rooms are adequate, and some have nice views. What makes these pensions sparkle is the staff, which are friendly, helpful, and speak fluent English. For this or other reasons, there were a surprisingly large number of English-speaking tourists at the pensions for such an out-of-the-way place as Egirdir. I suspect this linguistic flavor is common at these particular pensions, and it made for warm camaraderie and lively conversation on the terrace before, during, and after dinner.
Review 20:No problems at all really.
Review 21:Great value for money, excellent breakfast and tasty evening meals. I liked the friendly and helpful staff and the family atmosphere.
Review 22:Some renovation work was ongoing as we were in low season! Once completed, I am sure it will be very nice!
Review 23:Nice and friendly staff (family owned), great views!
Review 24:This is not a criticism but Egirdir is not your normal tourist town -- it is where the Turks go for their holidays so enjoy it (and the spectacular surrounding scenery)for that
Review 25:Very friendly staff -- the proprietor is very knowledge about the local area and has great advice for walks, etc. Spacious room. Next door Charlie's Pension provides the facilities for Fulya and another co-owned pension -- so the restaurant/bar area is always a buzz.
Review 26:Nothing really.
Review 27:The terrace in front of the Egirdir Lake is beautiful for breakfast. The room was perfect, big, clean and nice. The staff was really helpful and friendly, we had good laughs together after breakfast.
Review 28:I have no negative comments to make.
Review 29:The room we had was on the top floor with wonderful views of the lake and surrounding mountains. It was a large room and bathroom and every comfort catered for. The breakfast was fresh and plenty of it. The staff were extremely nice and very helpful. We only stayed two days but wished we had booked for much longer. We will be returning very soon.
Review 30:The rooms aren't cleaned daily and lack a bit of atmosphere. Hygiene in the sister building with the restaurant could have been better.
Review 31:Quality of rooms, the friendliness of the staff and the taste of the food were all excellent. The boat trip they organised was very nice.
Review 32:Limited breakfast Strangely it was difficult to pay by card - had to pay cash in the end. Parking in front of the hostel is very limited, but larger carpark nearby (free)
Review 33:Location is very central Friendly staff Lake access
Review 34:One of the beds wasn't so good.
Review 35:Location, cleanliness, good food. Beautiful view, tranquil environment. Exceptional staff, very helpful, sincere, friendly.
Review 36:The restaurant food was very tasty.

Review 45:people, location, food
Review 46:Lakeside location Comfort of accommodation Friendly service Helpful staff Freshness of food
Review 47:-Breakfast/dining area has a great view over the lake but felt messy and could do with an overhaul. -Breakfast was limited -No elevator, although staff did offer to help with the luggage. -Mosque nearby will wake you in the middle of the night, despite the double glazing.
Review 48:Although the place looks a bit shabby from the outside, the room was nice and felt brand new with a great view of the lake (room 6F), good value for money.
Review 49:Had a wonderful stay. Very restful, gorgeous newly renovated large room and bathroom, beautiful views. Definatly recommend. Great breakfast in Charlys terrace cafe lots to eat and dinner of local fish from the lake. Plenty to do Sagalosos, Roman city site,Cycling and lots of hiking will come back for longer stay. Thank you Ibrahim and Muslum for your hospitality
Review 50:No hot water in the shower. The room was newly renovated, and I'm sure they will get such issues resolved expeditiously.
Review 51:We were in a quadruple room, which was spacious and located on the top floor. Fabulous views, comfortably furnished, and very clean. The staff was welcoming and knowledgeable, and hospitable in a way that made the dining room feel like a lovely communal space where travelers engaged in conversation and showed real interest in one another.
Review 52:The dinner that was suggested to us in the pension was not such a good one, usual fish. Everything was home cooked and ok but would have expected a bit more. The same can be said about the breakfast.
Review 53:Fulya pension situates right at the shore of Egirdir lake. The room was spacious, with great lake-views, staff was friendly and spoke good English.
Review 54:No elevator and 2 flights of stairs.
Review 55:The staff were excellent and helpful. The restaurant is 2 doors down, and very nice place to hang out. The view of the lake was nice.
Review 56:The entrance to fulya, off an alley, looks sketchy. ButMuslim's warm welcome -- and our lovely, spacious rooms -- morethan made up for it.A warning: the route from konya to beysidir was poorly marked. We should have asked Muslim in advance for directions.
Review 57:Nestled beside sparkling LAke Egirdir amid towering peaks, somesurprisingly green in october, Fulya Pension provided a perfect place tostay a night (or more!) when driving from cappadocia to themediterranean. If the gorgeous setting weren't enough, Muslim'swarm welcome and excellent command of English sealed the deal. And,after a long day on the road, enjoying a delicious meal in hisfamily's pension next door (charly's) was perfect!
Review 58:The walk up hill to reach the hotel .
Review 59:Do not be disappointed when you enter the building wait till you see the very comfortable and newly redecorated bed rooms .
Review 60:There wasn't very much to dislike. It is a little hard to find the hiking spots around on your own, we got a little lost trying to find some of them but candir canyon was amazing, totally worth going on a hike up there.
Review 61:We really enjoyed Fulya Pension and especially the lake. The area is very quite and relaxed with some great fish places around. Also, the vibe of the tourists was quite and relaxed.
Review 62:Only thing we didnt like was the lack of fruit juice at breakfast - even carton juice would have been welcome
Review 63:Room was big and well furnished had a large private balcony overlooking the lake. Staff very friendly especially Muslum one of the owners. Views from restaurant were magnificent over the lake and mountains
Review 64:Music at the pool but that would be a plus for younger people.
Review 65:Excellent value and very friendly staff. I even got a free welcome beerand they drove me to the bus station when I left.
Review 66:No parking when we arrived, but the owner took our cases in and I parked the car a couple of hundred yards away and moved it later, so no real problem.
Review 67:The owner was extremely helpful and friendly and gave us information about the area. The room was large and well decorated and furnished. The bathroom was clean and modern. The roof terrace at the brother hotel, where we ate was breath taking, the views were amazing. I would definately recommend this hotel and will be returning myself in the future.
Review 68:There is nothing to dislike!:)1
