Reviews for Rocky Mountain Park Inn

Review 1:The room never got cleaned after the first night. The swimming pool had so much chlorine it burned my daughters skin and we had to go home at 8:30 p.m. Instead of staying the night we had reserved.

Review 2:Had a little trouble checking in. Room wasn't ready, clerk had trouble finding our reservations.

Review 3:Pet friendly room was clean and convenient. Enjoyed the on property lounge. Convenient to downtown and restaurants.

Review 4:The staff was not friendly, from the front desk to the restaurant staff (waitress). The only exception was the housekeeping lady. She was very friendly and made you feel like you were welcome.

Review 5:House keeping lady. The place was nice, nothing extravagant but nice.

Review 6:There were no dislikes.

Review 7:The staff is both professional and friendly....all staff is quite capable of answering questions regarding the town of Estes Park, as well. The pool and fitness room kept my 9-year-old son busy and happy. We will definitely be returning to the hotel soon....and we always request the same room.

Review 8:Wanted a balcony in the hopes to see the elk that roam Estes Park. Our balcony overlooked the pool that stayed open late with screaming and splashing, so it was hard to go sleep before 11pm and the room smelled like chlorine. No refrigerator or microwave in room. Thought they had a drop box by the door to expedite my early morning departure only to find this not the case as I was charged for another day for not returning my key cards to the desk.

Review 9:Very comfortable beds Clean

Review 10:When I arrived at the hotel, I was told that I didn't have a reservation and they blamed it on Booking.com. They found the reservation after much back and forth with me.The service at breakfast was terrible, although the buffet was pretty good. The menu at the resturant for the evening was extremely limited and we left and went elsewhere to eat.

Review 11:The room was clean with comfortable bed. Maid service was completed in a timely fashion.

Review 12:Bathroom shower could use some re-caulking. Sink drained slowly, and window wouldn't close all the way. Double beds instead of Queens was a little snug with kids.

Review 13:Pool is large and great for kids, Room was clean and well kept. Location and parking were right in town.

Review 14:Pity there is no fridge or microwave in the room, and why is there a ban on alcohol in the room? all geared to make the visitor use the hotel's bar and restaurant.

Review 15:Ambiance of hotel felt outdated and not congruent with $170 a night room. Hotel of this kind should not have been more than $130 a night. Overpriced.

Review 16:Location was convenient. Rooms very clean.

Review 17:Very old facility I am 5'4 inches and I could touch the ceilings. I found dried blood on the cover between the sheet and comforter but not until morning.

Review 18:Location

Review 19:After having to call the front desk from my cell phone 3 times (hotelphone didn't work) because of loud/drunk people in the hallway, the police were finally called at almost 1am.i talked to a personclaiming to be the manager the next morning and all they would offer isa 50.00 discount on an overpriced room. Location did not look like whatwas posted on booking.com and not only will I never stay there again, Iwill warn others of the inappropriate customer service, unclean room, andstale smell of the hotel during my too long 1 night stay.

Review 20:The bed was comfy, but unfortunately that was the only good thingabout the stay.I Should have reconsidered my situation after watchingthe front desk turn away an unhappy customer as I was checking in thenight before.

Review 21:Didn't realize the balcony was inside above pool area. Couldn't use balcony . Telephone didn't work to call front desk .Had to walk down to front desk to get room changed. Was given$20. vouchers toward breakfast which replaced a refund for the room. The breakfast was terrible so we didn't even use the 2nd voucher. We found the food and accommodations extremely overpriced for our previous experiences.

Review 22:Good location.

Review 23:It was a rip off, dirty & run down. I wouldn't have ever booked here if the pictures weren't so misleading. Took my wife here for our 1st wedding anniversary, so wish I could take it back. The restaurant turned us away before closing time for dinner & breakfast, and we were well before closing. No microwave, fridge, the bathrooms are small and yucky. Such a waste of money & on a special occasion we can never redo.

Review 24:Nothing. Absolutely worst choice ever.

Review 25:Dirty filthy everywhere indoor pool ICE cold green water our room major filth could not use tub mold so bad black finger prints everywhere all gameroom games broke and dirty hot tub filthy walls throughout do not stay!!!!

Review 26:The first room my daughter and I were given smelled so badly of chemicals we asked to be moved, it turned out to be paint. The room we stayed in had no refrigerator or microwave. The only window to open was broken, appeared the track had been bent to 'lock' it, but it would not close with a 2 inch gap that was stuffed with plastic bags. I would not use the pool, it was filthy, green and brown slime.

Review 27:There was one young lady who went out of her way to be helpful.

Review 28:Pillows were to small and very uncomfortable. The bed was very hard. The coffee pot was not clean still had a little coffee in it. No microwave no fridge.

Review 29:Pretty quiet, close to town, easy to find, nice view.

Review 30:I had to ask where the elevators were (in a different building). The heat was very difficult to regulate. When the heater came on, it made a very loud noise which woke me up each time. In addition, when it was done heating, the unit chirped like a large bird.

Review 31:Location and parking were very good.

Review 32:The caulking in the bathroom needs attention. The window frame was bent so our window did not shut properly, therefore we heard outside noise and all the pool activity. The box spring was broken so everytime I got up the bed would make a loud popping noise waking my husband.

Review 33:Free wifi.

Review 34:Room was not cleaned very well. Dirty shower curtain. Poor functioning shower head. No microwave or fridge: big bummer when you have kids.

Review 35:Good location and easy to get where we wanted to visit

Review 36:Didn't much care for any of it. It was mostly clean, but we did find cereal on the floor (not ours). Pillows were small and way too soft, mattress no comfortable. Vending machine didn't operate correctly, took my dollar and disappointed my grandson when he couldn't have the drink he wanted. The attached bar/restaurant had horrible menu, horrible service, and unfriendly wait-person. Will not be recommending this hotel or staying there in the future.

Review 37:The inside balcony that over-looked the pool was nice.

Review 38:Great location couldn't view the beauty because of the dirty windows,AC system outdated very loud, bed was too hard, pillows were small very soft, entire building needs an upgrade

Review 39:Friendly staff ,and the location

Review 40:Bed was a bit hard on me and my husbands middle aged bodies. Kids were comfortable.

Review 41:Loved the foosball and pool table, pool and poolside chairs, lounge chairs. Clean, nice looking place. Attached breakfast place really aimed to please. Too bad no continental breakfast, but that is okay. Nice fireplace and lounge in the lobby.

Review 42:I didn't like that the fact that Booking.com OVER BOOKED this hotel !!!!! When I arrived we were on the "walking list" because online Booking.com over booked. Luckily someone had called to cancel while I was at the front desk and was able to get a room. If not I would of had to go to another town because the small beautiful town of Estes was all full. I probably will never go through this company again

Review 43:I liked the fact that the hotel employees were very helpful and sorry this happened to me. They tried to help me as much as they could.

Review 44:Older hotel but clean and comfottable. Had alit of trouble getting registered since we used Booking.com. The manager seemed inconvenienced with it and left me feeling very uncomfortable.

Review 45:Location, availability and priced to meet the needs of an older hotel

Review 46:The room was dingy, the hallway smelled like poop, the ice machine has a major leak and there was a large puddle, the bed wasn't comfortable. The grounds were spartan. Pool area had too much chlorine

Review 47:Horrible to non-existent wifi in room. Heard other guess complaining about it too. Wifi lobby seemed to be decent.

Review 48:Nice staff at check in. Clean and comfortable room.

Review 49:room wasn't very clean, had cob webs on walls and carpet wasn't very clean, screen on window was loose and the window did not lock.

Review 50:the food was very good and we enjoyed the hot tub and pool.

Review 51:Our windows opened on the inside of the heated swimming pool. Gagged with the smell of chlorine. Never again! We were not warned that we had an inferior room.

Review 52:Location was OK

Review 53:Tv signal looked like a snow-storm; was told that was the best it was.The tv cut out for much of the evening. I was told by the staff memberthat I could always stay elsewhere -- but anyone that has stayed inEstes in the summer knows that every room is sold out by Friday (and wecouldn't find another property available). WiFi was sporadic at bestand so slow! I paid $200 a night and had to pay extra for a small boxrefrig (that didn't work well) - opted out of the extra charge for amicrowave. Although other properties were available (at lower cost) atthe time of my reservation, I chose the higher cost room because theproperty pics and description made it sound like it was a premiumproperty. Not so! My grandkids were burned from the level of chlorine inthe pool - and there wasn't a soda in a vending machine in the wholeproperty (and we checked all locations). I have never spent so much forso little and such low quality in my life. Will never stay there againnor recommend it.

Review 54:You didn't hear neighbors much.

Review 55:The tub was clogged up. The maid should have seen this if she clean it. Makes me wonder how the rest of the room was cleaned. The tube faucet didn't shut off either. For the cost of the room I wouldn't go back!

Review 56:The staff was very unfriendly.. the rooms were not very clean.. hot tub had so much chlorine it was thick on the bottom and made me sick.. behind bed had not been cleaned for a long time... additional cost for fridge and microwaves and the microwave we got was.very old and nasty...the food at the hotel was not good. Breakfast is 12.00 a person for buffet... overall very disappointed and would not recent it to anyone e else.

Review 57:The location was the only positive for us.

Review 58:Friendly staff and quiet, clean room. Great location for visiting Estes Park and RMNP. Was recommended by my son who stayed in 2010 and we were not disappointed!

Review 59:The pool area was great, especially since it was cooler and raining while we were there. Kids swam and played pool. The facility is older, and needs to be renovated, but was clean (which is very important to us). Loved the manager's special for happy hour!

Review 60:The hotel booklet indicated that you could get a bag lunch, which we planned on doing for our hike. But it is not offered any more, so we had to make an alternative plan.

Review 61:Good value. Complimentary drink at happy hour. Pleasant staff.

Review 62:Only 2 washers and dryers for the whole property.... luckily laundrymat across the street.

Review 63:Rooms were spacious, Great Pool Area, actually heated, hot tub, nice game room. AWESOME view, conveniently located. nice attached restaurant and bar

Review 64:Facility was old. No elevators. Bed pillows were awful. Room was ok. Musty odor in halls. Restaurant service was awful. Breakfast buffet was good but plates were very cold and food got cold immediately. When we checked in the room we were given had not been cleaned with bed sheets on floor. Had to change to another room.

Review 65:Location was good.

Review 66:Price per night was too high for just a 'room with a bed'. No small refrigerator to keep water or sodas in. Tiny pet area even though it's advertised as 'pet friendly'

Review 67:I can't think of anthing i liked about the facilities.

Review 68:My family went to eat at the restaurant and we were pushed ( literally!)into the Grille where we had to set up our own tables. The waitressbrought us glasses with warm water and when we asked for water with ice,she disappeared!!! She never came back or took our orders. After waiting5 minutes we left. No one came to apologize or to check on us. She washiding in a room and turned her back on us as we left!

Review 69:The pool area is very nice and open.

Review 70:There is a lady at the restaurant , after we done from our breakfast , she brought the receipt and she double clicked the tip area and went. As all of us knew tips is culture wherever you go you have to pay it, but she shouldn't be asking for that.

Review 71:Awesome Location

Review 72:Bed and pillow comfort could be improved. Pillows very small and way to fluffy.

Review 73:While on a biz trip and an unexpected stay here, it was a very nice surprise to experience the value for money and the "has it all" character of this resort.

Review 74:The only complaint is the WiFi goes a little in and out sometimes, but if you're spending the weekend away in the mountains that might even be a positive.

Review 75:Your right in the mountains the views are amazing and the drive up was great. Downtown Estes is a few blocks away.

Review 76:The hot tub was broken and one of the main reasons I chose to pay with price for this motel was that it had an indoor pool and hot tub. They could have either given me a discount or provided me a pass for the nearby gym that has a hot tub and charge $10 for a day pass. The hot tub was broken for my entire 3 day stay and was due to be repaired the day after I left.

Review 77:A great motel.

Review 78:The decor and fixtures are very 1980s, but they are renovating.

Review 79:No fuss, no nonsense, just a comfortable hotel with a pool -- and a perfect base to go hike in Rocky Mountain National Park.

Review 80:Didn't know if breakfast was included. It was not advertised or listed any where. It would have been nice to have it included.

Review 81:The indoor pool was the attraction! Loved it and that it was heated.

Review 82:They didn't have my reservation when we arrived and then they over charged me by $100. Everything got corrected, but it was frustrating to have to fix these things on my own.

Review 83:We love the pool and the staff was great

Review 84:The WiFi never worked, the bar and grill inside is terrible with terrible staff. Food choices were terrible. Don't Eat Here!!!

Review 85:The Pool is amazing

Review 86:For a place that has a conference center, it must wish to attract business professionals. Thus it also needs good wifi to accommodate that desire. In the three nights that I spent here, i only had usable (but still poor) wifi once, for about an hour. The rest of the time it was unusable. Multiple signals but horrible connection.

Review 87:Great value, decent ammenities, good staff and pet friendly.

Review 88:The only thing we didn't like was no access to a microwave or an outside balcony, which we thought we were getting. All king size beds were on 4th floor and we like lower floors. Windows needed cleaned badly so we couldn't really enjoy the view.

Review 89:The rooms were clean and comfortable, the pool is nice, Well worth the price for sure.

Review 90:No DVD player, there was a used tampon applicator under the bed in the room. Nasty! Blowing heat causes severe dryness; we bought a humidifier.

Review 91:Excellent staff friendliness and helpfulness, warm and fun pool and hot tub. Comfortable beds. Yummy restaurant. Many vending options, plus fridge and microwave rental. Crib available too.

Review 92:My kids and I really enjoyed staying at the Rocky Mountain Park Inn. It is very clean, family friendly, the rooms are nice, the beds are comfortable, and the staff was very nice.

Review 93:You breakfast prices were not listed. It was surprise when we got the bill. It was very high for what you had to offer. The noise other guest had to offer.

Review 94:The train show

Review 95:The pillows were too small. It was like they used travel pillows on our king size bed. They did give us more pillows upon request. The pool and hot tub had too much chlorine.

Review 96:Overall this is a nice hotel. The rooms are huge and newly remodeled. Soft comfy sheets and the bathrooms were clean. The inhouse restaurant/bar had good food.

Review 97:The room is nice, but the environment is not warm.

Review 98:The location is good. It's easy to get the National Park and some traditional American restaurant.

Review 99:The bathrooms could be cleaner. Overall, it seems that maintenance could be improved.

Review 100:The set up of the pool with rooms having balconies overlooking the pool is great. My kids loved every minute of our stay.

Review 101:A little difficulty finding out where entrance for hotel was as we came in a dark. Decor out dated but many hotels are at this point We were in a room that had an adjoining room with people not in out party- could hear quite easily as their voices were loud

Review 102:Staff very friendly; appeared clean. We were not there long so did not get to explore all that was available. We would very likely go back as it looked like a good place to take kids - there was plenty to do for all (pool, pool table, games etc). Location in Estes Park was good - out of high traffic area

Review 103:Great comfort and value, very clean rooms, my older boys had a blast at the pool. You are just a quick drive or even walk to the main drag of Estes Park lined with shops and food.

Review 104:Room was not real clean. Website showed pet fee at $10, and was charged $15. No fridge or microwave in room. No breakfast.

Review 105:Pet friendly...nice pool area and patio.

Review 106:Hotel needs upgrading, no microwaves or refrigerators, poor TV reception, pool and jacuzzi excellent. We have stayed there several times and will continue to do so

Review 107:Warmth, Internet, friendly staff

Review 108:The breakfast buffet was pricey for what is was. The food was dried out, and was kinda bland.

Review 109:The staff was very friendly. Hotel was located close to the local attractions. The rooms were a little worn, but not to bad. The hotel bar is fun! We went one night, the bartender Corey was very friendly and helpful and the localsl were just as nice!

Review 110:smelly room. like a humid basement. halls and elevator smelled like smoke and looked dirty. fire escape style stairs. paper thin walls. crying baby in the next room kept us up. staff was rude at check in. tried to force me to pay by credit card when i booked room with a cash pay option. he refused to let me pay cash. wierd. after 11 staff is completely gone. you just get a phone# to call for emergencies. no fridge. no microwave. hard to reach outlets in room. can't charge phone and computer comfortably. broken door lock on neighboring room. off hinges. tv turned off on its own repeatedly. not worth the money. only reviews I've ever done have been good. this is utter disappointment. i prefer motel 6 over this any day.

Review 111:free wifi. deep swimming pool.

Review 112:the gentleman who checked us in was either in a bad mood or didn't like his job because we were not warmly welcomed and he was excited to tell us about where our room was located. He was not knowledgeable about the area either. The service for dinner in the restaurant was not good and my husband had corn with his meal and it was grey...would not recommend this as a great place to eat.

Review 113:the bartender was awesome! he was super busy but made each table and client at the bar feel like they were his only client. He gave us tips on where great sites were and then asked us about it the next day when we saw him in the lobby.

Review 114:Pets restricted to first floor and assigned a room overlooking enclosed pool; very noisy music and yelling swimmers until 11pm Restaurant not pet friendly Pet fee excessive considering the level of cleanliness of the room rusting fixtures in the bathroom risk for falls in tub because of ineffective safety coating in the tub bears feeding from outdoor trash cans

Review 115:Cost was a bit much for the room. The lay out was a bit weird and an extra door to go thru. My guess it was an extra fire door? It was a last minute booking. Will look for something a little less expensive next time.

Review 116:Close to town, resturant had good food. Also has a bar but did not go in. Beds were comfortable and the room was a good size with a nice size bathroom. Staff was nice.

Review 117:Bathroom dirty with other peoples hair. Beds had dips in middle of them. Pillows must have been bought at Walmart on a discount. The pillow were half the size of a standard pillow and the pillow cases were tucked in as the pillow itself is small. The pillows are so soft with the old foam strips it took three pillows to get get any comfort. Beds with dip probably haven't been replaced since the place opened.

Review 118:Nothing!

Review 119:Only bad thing was the music by the pool was loud at 7:00 so we didn't get to sleep much. That's ok tho.

Review 120:We enjoyed the in door pool and the pillows were great!! The staff was wonderful as well.

Review 121:Wouldn't be worth that much anywhere but a resort town. Water came out brown through the pipes at the beginning.

Review 122:Got a good deal on the room. WiFi was quick. Room was clean.

Review 123:The only thing I did not like was the cloudiness of the Jacuzzi pool. The temperature was perfect.

Review 124:My room was clean and very comfortable. The bed was excellent and I slept like a log. Breakfast was very good and the price was right. The employees were pleasant and helpful. My room was quiet.

Review 125:The only negative -and even that was not a big deal- was the receptionist at the front desk answering phones. In person, very friendly staff and helpful.

Review 126:The rooms were very clean and quiet. We were staying there because my grandson was at a camp with his school and picked it because it was the closest- up hwy 7. We were happily surprised and would definitely choose to stay there again. Really enjoyed looking at the pool from the balcony and swimming.

Review 127:It did feel a little on the older side. We wanted the smaller feel of the inn but if you are looking for a "fancy hotel" this isn't it. Desk gives you a map of the layout but it is still easy to get lost in the halls!

Review 128:Loved that the inn had a restaurant attached to it! The pool area was large and just like the pictures. The location to town was great, though you did have to drive vs. walk. Overall for the location it was a wonderful experience.

Review 129:Poor temperature control Sealed windows, no patios Had extreme difficulty with breathing No comfortable room amenities such as refrigerator or microwave. Pillows provided no support

Review 130:Staff was competent and friendly View was excellent

Review 131:The hot tub was out of order for the first two days of our stay and we had a wedding to attend the last night so did not have time to enjoy. It was very disappointing as the hot tub was a deciding factor in choosing the Rocky Mtn Inn. The five dollar a day fee for a microwave and/or fridge also a negative.

Review 132:Very clean, nice friendly staff, short walk to downtown and Lake Estes. The indoor heated pool was great.

Review 133:We had a balcony over the pool, and it was very nosie, and hard to go to sleep until after 10 PM.

Review 134:Rooms were very clean and I love that pets are allowed, even if we did not have our with us on this trip.

Review 135:Beds were not comfortable. Room was not clean. The value of the hotel did not match the price. So many other options in the area which were nicer and cheaper.

Review 136:Location was nice, but still not in the heart of the area.

Review 137:The decoration was not the best, cracked walls and the air con looked to have a hole behind it. The location was not as picturesque as the photographs make it look!

Review 138:The staff were very helpful and the town is very nice.

Review 139:Price is high for what is basically a place to sleep.

Review 140:Built as a Holidome (Holiday Inn w/indoor pool). Back around 1975. Typical bar/lounge and restaurant. Free beer and wine 3-5 PM! Rooms updated and clean with flat screen and cable TV. Easy access to downtown shopping and RMNP!!!
