Choo Choo Pension sells fast on our site. Run by a local fisherman's family for 4 generations, The Choo Choo Pension is situated on Yesilada peninsula which is reaching out inside the Lake of Egirdir. The pension is just a 10-minute walk from Eğirdir's centre.
Choo Choo’s rooms are equipped with air conditioning and a TV. Each room also has a private bathroom. Wi-Fi is available in the entire hotel and free of charge.
The Halikarnas Restaurant has a romantic, waterside terrace. Guests can enjoy a range of meals, from Turkish breakfast to fresh fish from Eğirdir Gölü Lake and meat dishes.

Review 1：Hüseyin, Yilmaz and their family are wonderful, friendly people. They couldn't do enough for us and we felt welcome from the beginning. The whole family is involved and they really care about their guests. The location on the island is fantastic. The restaurant on the water is a great place to sit and eat, have a drink or plan your day. We didn't even try another restaurant because we were enjoying trying everything on the Choo Choo menu, and it was always delicious. The room was simple and comfortable. Everything was clean. We even got our washing done for a reasonable price. Just ask for information and you will always get what you need. I think Hüseyin knows everyone in town! Teşekkür ederiz.

Review 4：We arrived tired from the road into a hugely warm welcome from Yamas. We were whisked upstairs to an immaculately clean spacious room with a terrace over looking the stunningly peaceful Lake. The dinner menu offered a good choice of seafood, meat and vegetarian dishes. The service was second to none. Sparkling, attentive,professional and friendly. Have to mention the outstanding Breakfast which is delivered automatically with a lovely variety of simple, delicious local fare, plain omelette, olives, fruit preserves and a wonderful local pastry roll. This is a family run pension.Yamas, Hussein, Mustafa, and their extended family welcomes all;Australians,Brits, French and of course Turkish. Happy to help you plan your day and hear your travel stories. This is a great base to explore the surrounding sites, such as the beautiful National Park and the ruins of Sagalassos not to be missed. You will need a car. If you are a little weary, a nature lover and want an authentic experience with this inclusive delightful Turkish family, look no further. Paradise found.

I would have scored it more highly if there had been a fridge in the room.This was the 4th guest house we had stayed at and we did think it was a bit expensive.

Review 9：Our room didn't get serviced for the second night and our trash cans got pretty full. Maybe there was something I was supposed to do that I missed. They have a really nice restaurant with a terrace view on the water, but they didn't have any high chairs for our baby which makes eating there challenging for families with children.

Review 10：This is a nice place for some peaceful R&R. Our room was big and clean and had a balcony with a great view. The family that owns this place was so helpful and accommodating. They even dropped us off at the bus terminal in their personal vehicle. Breakfasts were traditional Turkish and very delicious.

Review 15：Fantastic hosts and wonderful home cooked meals. The room was also most comfortable with a sunny deck and overlooking the lake. Our host Yilmaz picked us up and dropped us off at the bus station and we also had a relaxing boat trip and lots of swam in the beautiful lake.

Review 17：The pension was lovely. i had a view of the lake and a large balcony. The owner was delightful and made sure I was comfortable and happy. He provided suggestions on what to see and do in the lake region. I took a long hike and then drove the entire lake. The owner was also the chef and both dinner and breakfast were amazing. I decided to stay an extra night. The area is beautiful, filled with mountains and valleys covered in wild flowers and small fishing boats. This is not a touristic area but exemplified the best of Turkish hospitality wherever i went. The pension is on a small strip of land that extends into the lake. it is a quiet and charming place.

Review 19：The staff were excellent. They responded promptly to requests and arranged a car to visit Sagalassos and Burdur. The pansyon overlooks the lake and has a good restaurant. The service is excellent--you are not served and forgotten. The beer is served with a frosted glass. The breakfast includes omelet and homemade butter and preserves. The people here care. Their hotel is clean and relaxing with a beautiful view of the lake.

Review 20：Restaurant was open and the staff was attentive. However, it was not the best I've tasted in Turkey.

Review 28：Mid October is too late to be here - the weather was damp and cold and the Island was desolate, especially in the evening. One has to walk over the causeway to the main town for any buzz.

The host Huseyin was very helpful and provided us many useful information. He also gave us a ride to the bus station when it rained.

Review 34：The room was large and bright with access to a common balcony with a view over the lake. The family that owns the place is very accommodating and informative regarding sights to explore in the neighbourhood . The restaurant has a lovely setting overlooking the lake.

Review 35：Very friendly staff. They will help you with everything you need. After a phone-call we where picked-up at the busstation whit-in five minutes. The restaurant has a good menu. Breakfast is served in stead of a buffet and can be enjoyed at the terras at the lake (when there's not to much wind). Good value for money en we certainly recommend a stay in this hotel.

We were allocated the top floor apartment which looks like it had been recently renovated and it was perfect for us; clean, spacious with great views of the lake, a very comfortable bed and cool enough in the evening for a comfortable sleep. The breakfast was fresh, more than ample and varied each day, but don't expect your typical English fayre. We were a group of 4 friends and would all definitely recommend the Choo Choo, oh and the boat trip on the lake is well worth it for the views alone. We found the WiFi adequate

Review 71：This is truly the kind of family-run place where you want to linger. The pension is situated near the end of Yesilada, the little islet that sticks out into the lake. Our room was on the top floor with a lovely shared balcony outside. The room itself was spacious and spotlessly clean, and had lots of windows everywhere; it was light and airy, and we loved it. The bathroom was also nice sized and had a great shower. The restaurant attached to the pension has a nice indoor dining room, as well as dining available across the street on the lake front. The restaurant has a good selection of courses from which to choose and serves a really excellent breakfast. We will definitely be returning to Choo Choo Pension, as they made us feel like members of the family! The WiFi signal was rather weak in our room but this was not a major problem for us.

The family and staff were friendly, helpful and caring - couldn't ask for more - they even changed our bed around so that we could both have reading lights for our bedtime read! The location is fantastic, right on the edge of the lake and a lovely breakfast was served with the water lapping gently below us and snow-capped mountains in the distance - perfect!

Location magnificent - right on lake shore. Food all fresh and local, nothing fancy or pretentious, and most of it home-made. A really relaxing break and would definitely go back.

The owner, Huseyin, was so much more than accommodating - he took time out to chat to us, recommended the best food for the evening (fish prepared by himself - delicious!), told us the best places to walk and even accepted Sterling when we stupidly underestimated our journey time and found ourselves unable to find Lira. The hotel itself was lovely - stunning views of the lake, a MASSIVE room with air-con unit, exceptionally clean bathroom and balcony. The roof terrace was lovely to watch the sunset. The breakfast was out of this world - a feast! Cay on tap (and free), pastries hand-made by Huseyin's mother, toast, homemade jams, cheese, fried eggs... We were well and truly spoiled. If you do choose to visit Egirdir (and do - it's so underrated!) then you won't go wrong staying here. One of the best hotels I've ever stayed in.

Review 86：We stayed there only for one night so it is hard to make a complete evaluation. However, we enjoyed our 1 night stay at Choo Choo Pension. The owner of the pension, Hüseyin, is so helpful. he cares for everything in the pension. The pension is just 10 metres away from the lake and the breakfast is served next to the lake. it has a fantastic view. the bathroom was recently renowned and it was very good. the rooms are small but enough for short stays. i recommend it.
