Reviews for Peak to Peak Lodge
Review 1:We booked a suite with separate bedroom and kitchen facilities. Was very roomy and we could make our own breakfast. Also was very private and quiet. Owner is very helpful.
Review 2:The only draw back to the room was that it had a wall heater/air conditioner that was not thermostat controlled.
Review 3:It was clean and the owner was very helpful. It was nice place to stay.
Review 4:The place is not as large as I expected after seeing the pictures. The room is old and the staff was just so so. Just an okay price for the conditions.
Review 5:The only thing that was good should be the location, which is not far away from the entrance of Rocky Mountain national park.
Review 6:The living room had two futons with a plastic / vinyl covering. I didn't enjoy sitting on it without some kind of blanket. If there was a blanket or some pillows in the living room, it would have been nicer, but not a deal breaker.
Review 7:We stayed in the king deluxe room. The bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was updated. The full patio was nice to relax. The views were amazing. The owners were friendly and helpful!
Review 8:It smelled old, carpet to the king deluxe room was diry, and that hall way smelled musty. The cleaning people just made the bed and replaced towels, they never vacuumed. Very disappointed.
Review 9:Large area.
Review 10:I think 10am is a little early for a checkout time.
Review 11:Room was fine. It had coffee. It had guide to tell what is on each TV channel (not that common for our experience)
Review 12:This was the highest priced hotels for what we received, but the area was filling up fast. The room was nicer than what we expected when we first pulled into the place.
Review 13:We booked double queen beds and the room had more space than other places we stayed in that week,
Review 14:The fridge in our room made strange noises...like a washing machine with a zipper inside (best way I can describe it). Woke me up a few times. Breakfast would have been a nice addition!
Review 15:Location was fairly convenient, a short drive from the downtown area. The room was spacious, nice that they included a TV and coffee maker. The room was clean. I read a lot of people complaining about the bed, it was firm, but not super uncomfortable
Review 16:The bed was rather small and a bit stiff
Review 17:There is no fence around the property so the morning of our departure we awoke to a herd of elk grazing right outside the window. Such an authentic experience
Review 18:Beds are a little hard, and unfortunately not the easiest of parking situations, especially for SUV's or trucks
Review 19:For the location and availability over a holiday weekend, great value, great location, and ease of access to town
Review 20:Peak to Peak was perfect for us. The wifi was a little slow but that was our only complaint and I hesitate even to categorize it as such. We slept well in a clean room and saved quite a bit of money. I just wish we hadn't been too busy hiking and enjoying Estes Park to check out the hot tub!
Review 21:A bit old and shabby, but clean and well-kept. The walls were pretty thin, which could be an issue if you're a light sleeper.
Review 22:Comfortable and affordable place to stay in Estes. The hot tub was nice after a long day of hiking, as was the mini fridge to store leftover food.
Review 23:The only negative was the bed. It was super uncomfortable and we didn't sleep well as a result. We were almost late for our hike because it was really hard to get up after a sleepless night. The mattress needs to be replaced and the bedding quality increased. The comforter was very scratchy.
Review 24:The place was spotless. It's old but very well-maintained. We stayed in a suite since it was all that was left and it was huge. Would have been great for a family or large group of 4-6. The kitchen was perfect! We would stay here again for sure.
Review 25:Great place and more importantly very friendly atmosphere. The owners even helped us out with tools when we had trouble with one of our vehicles on the trip. Thanks again for that!! :)
Review 26:Parking is a problem due to size of parking lot and exit is difficult due to driveway slant. Towels/washcloths were not changed. Bed was comfortable but very noisy.
Review 27:Helpful and courteous staff. Quiet location reasonably priced for area.
Review 28:10 a.m. check out was a little harder than other places I've stayed, but not impossible.
Review 29:They were super nice and even though we arrived waaaay after the office closed they left the key out for us.
Review 30:You can get more bang elsewhere, but not for fewer bucks!
Review 31:Great location for a day hiker with proximity to amenities (Starbucks, groceries, library, all kinds of food) in a walkable town.
Review 32:The ac was a little loud; we felt like we couldn't open the windows because pool was right there on ground floor. Also, staff was not particularly knowledgable about restaurants; we felt like we were on our own.
Review 33:Staff was very friendly and wanted to help. The check-in was quick and non-eventful and there was lots of local information in the lobby. The price was very fair.
Review 34:The bed was awful; sagged in the middle - didn't sleep well both nights - very happy to go home to get a good night's rest.
Review 35:The pool and hot tub were nice and very clean; the staff friendly.
Review 36:Free WiFi, but doesn't work well.
Review 37:Nice value. Quiet. Parking right by door. Fridge, microwave, coffee pot, hair dryer. Clean. Mule deer walk right through parking lot in pm.
Review 38:I wish the daily rate for my fine room was less expensive,so we could stay longer.
Review 39:I love Estes Park. The Rockies are awesome.Tom and his staff were great hosts.
Review 40:There wasn't a continental breakfast and the wifi was spotty and that made communication challenging at times..
Review 41:The staff members were extremely helpful and kind and the other folks staying there were very nice and friendly as well. We had to walk a bit over a block downhill to have the perfect seat for the 4th of July fireworks.. Really a nice stay. Would stay again ~
Review 42:It is an older facility that hasn't been updated. The ancient kitchenette had an infestation of small ants.
Review 43:It was a large space that accommodated our family nicely. It was quiet. We had the option to prepare meals in our room.
Review 44:While there was free WiFi it was REALLY slow and not very reliable. It was a leisure trip with kids so it wasn't a big deal to me but was somewhat of a letdown.
Review 45:Facility and room were really clean. Staff was friendly and was a good location close to downtown Estes Park. Family room worked great, kids in one room, wife and I in another, would definitely stay here again!
Review 46:The only thing that was an issue was that the WIFI didn't work so well. But hey it forced my children to do something besides play on their phones. So not really a bad thing for us.
Review 47:We had a wonderful stay at the Peak to Peak Lodge. The pool and the hot tub were clean and just the right temperature. And I witnessed the staff cleaning/sanitizing every night. This property was also close to everything we wanted to enjoy.
Review 48:This motel was close (driving) to the tourist shops / restaurants at Estes Park. Unit was clean including both sleeping and bath room but just an older facility.
Review 49:Nothing-great value!
Review 50:Staff was extremely friendly and helpful in finding my way around town and RMNP. The room was very clean and comfortable. Even had a large deck with table and chairs!
Review 51:No negatives.
Review 52:Very nice accommodations for the price of the room. Conveniently located to all Estes Park and Park activities. Kitchenette very convenient. Adequate pool and hot tub area. Overall would stay there again.
Review 53:The queen bed was just ok, box spring was very noisy and the pillows were too flat. Kitchen was very convenient but the stove was too scary to use, could use an updating there. Lvgroom futon could use a new cushion.
Review 54:The size of the suite was nice for the price, the location was good, very clean, it was very quiet-couldn't hear the neighbors next door.
Review 55:Our kitchen cupboard was locked so we didn't have access to cutlery.
Review 56:Great location (just a little away from the craziness of town), friendly staff, great value for money.
Review 57:Room 5 was by the ice machine so we were woken / disturbed every day from 0445 onwards. No bedside table on one side of bed Wifi was s l o w
Review 58:Comfortable bed
Review 59:The lodge was easy to find and close to the entrance to Rocky Mountain National Park. The rooms were clean and the swimming pool was nice. The staff was friendly.
Review 60:I liked the hot tub...just wished it would have been a little bit hotter. Not complaining though..I did enjoy it!
Review 61:I liked the quaintness of the room. Area located is quiet. Liked the full kitchen to fix breakfast.
Review 62:This hotel is perfect for people staying in the Estes Park area. It is in a nice location and the staff was very nice. Not fancy but clean and the bedding was very comfortable. Nice to have a fridge and microwave too. I will stay here again.
Review 63:Location is a bit close to the road so some lighter sleepers might have trouble.
Review 64:Staff was friendly, rooms had nice amenities (fridges, coffemaker, microwave), room was clean.
Review 65:Could do with a little renovation. In places.
Review 66:Offers nice beds. Coffee microwave fridge. A little on the expensive side but still one of cheapest in town. Great if you want to visit the park. Pool as well although outdoor.
Review 67:Room was scary because the door was next to the head of the bed. The door lock didn't appear to be substantial.
Review 68:Location was good. Easy to find. Got to check in early. The service personnel were helpfu in locating a restaurant.
Review 69:Room smelled like smoke Carpet was gross, was afraid to let me child crawl on it. Futon was un-usable it was so gross.
Review 70:Bathroom was clean and updated. Not awful if its a quick trip and you don't have an infant.
Review 71:Room could use insulation. Heard normal conversations from guests next door. Door fitted poorly; it rattled with a slight breeze and gaps allowed light into room, preventing sleeping in a dark room, which we prefer.
Review 72:Staff was very friendly. Room was neat and clean. Easy access to everything in Estes Park.
Review 73:No view at all, just looking at a parking lot. Exterior is very unappealing. Virtually no television channels to choose from. Just absolutely nothing that made the place stand out - not location, not rooms, not the view, not the ambiance (none).
Review 74:Price was low for Estes. The hot tub was a nice touch. The staff was fine. It was clean. It was fine if you only care about having a clean room to stay.
Review 75:very noisy upstairs above me window unit for ac and heat was very noisy ice machine outside my window--noisy at times
Review 76:price especially for 1 person who usually pays for the price for 2 hd flat screen tv micowave, fridge, and coffee maker great tub and shower
Review 77:wifi was spotty at best. bed was said to be a queen and it was quite small i would guess only a full. the bed was uncomfortable on top of being small. very few channels on the TV no basic channels and only about 9 to choose from.
Review 78:balcony was nice and the room was clean.
Review 79:.The room didn't have a table that you could work on other than the small one that already had items on it and was very small.
Review 80:Location close to downtown and RMNP Decent room for the price in this area
Review 81:Room was a bit small with king bed. Could have used a table with chairs.
Review 82:Very clean, bed very comfortable. Staff very helpful. Central location. Very quiet.
Review 83:The parking is a bit cramped and would be VERY cramped if there were a couple of pickup trucks there. We had no problem parking but a full motel could create problems
Review 84:The staff was very helpful upon check in. The rates were good compared to other motels in the area. The room was very clean and room .size was adequate. The room was quiet and the king bed was well above average.. All said it was an excellent stay. We would stay here again
Review 85:Room 4 had a weird odor and the shower was very hard to control the temp. It would be fine and then go to cold or very hot.
Review 86:Clean rooms and very friendly staff
Review 87:Nothing.
Review 88:It was comfortable. It was near to the Scottish/Irish Festival where I needed to be. The room was very clean and very adequate for my needs. Suzanne was very friendly and helpful.
Review 89:*a piece of the carpet was mended & a little frayed
Review 90:*comfortable bed & pillows *great shower *cleanliness *close to the center of town with restaurants & shops *reasonably priced *helpful staff
Review 91:Small refrigerator doesn't really cool, or keep cold food, unfortunately had some food go bad.
Review 92:This is a very nice area away from downtown, and able to not have issues with traffic... Pool and hot tub are incredible, able to be outside with no issues. Great hospitality by staff as well
Review 93:i was confused as to how to use the oven and stove, we felt like we were going to let too much gas out before lighting it by hand so we avoided using it all together, which was unfortunate. the satellite tv kept cutting out because of the clouds overhead.
Review 94:great location, dishes and microwave were a plus. the bed was nice and comfortable and it was clean. all in all a good experience.
Review 95:the pictures in the internet site were a bit deceiving but I still would probably booked my stay there.
Review 96:Very friendly check in, great local information and recommendations. Unique in being family owned for so many years.
Review 97:Nothing
Review 98:This was a clean and comfortable motel and far less pricy than others in the area. Mo on the desk was so helpful and friendly, which was nice after our long journey. Great location for the Rockie national park.
Review 99:Wifi was a bit weak, but no big deal.
Review 100:Nice people; spoke with owner(?) I think from Europe. Very helpful andnon-intrusive; room was clean and comfortable; modern enough and goodmattress/pillows. City walking path nearby. Thanks!
Review 101:I had two children traveling with me and it would be good for them to not have to ask (upper management?) if it was okay that they just charge an additional $10. It should be to walk in and they know this. If too many people are staying in one room, then they should state this obviously on their web-site or on the door that there is a limit. I felt like I could be getting charged a lot extra or turned away.
Review 102:This area wasn't the best but I think the Hotel is trying to improve by making sure that people aren't taking advantage of them. The room was clean and staff was pleasant. And the Wi-Fi worked better than the $200 hotel I stayed at.
Review 103:Really bad pillows, they should have a variety to suit everyone...these were big and uncomfortable. I am a good sleeper, but not that night.
Review 104:Clean rooms and outside area! Great value for the money!!
Review 105:This "lodge" (actually just a motel) was very dated, starting with the carpeting in the main office. There were few outlets around the room that were available for charging electronics and the bathroom and room (2 queen beds) were cramped.
Review 106:Our room did come with everything advertised, including a mini-fridge.
Review 107:The lodge needs updating. The outside needs to be painted, and the furnishings are older, and the shower kept getting hot / cold. .
Review 108:The lodge was clean and the staff was very helpful.
Review 109:There was a lot of "stuff" packed in to a small area. The room was smaller than most rooms we have been in, and there wasn't much room to move around in there!
Review 110:There was TV, Wifi, small refrigerator, air conditioning
Review 111:The lack of Tv channels and the bed was stiff.
Review 112:The room was very clean. It was a quiet area on the edge of town. I was allowed to check in a little early which was nice. The manager was very friendly.
Review 113:They do need to do some painting of the scalloped facing on the outside, otherwise that's the only complaint.
Review 114:It is an older property, however, the rooms have been renovated &super, super clean, new fixtures in the bath, new, comfy mattress, newlaminate on desk & night stands, new light fixtures. Outside; niceflowers, picnic tables, pool & hot tub super clean.
Review 115:No breakfast. Not particularly good value but high tourist area and hence price which was better than most in area. Some people may find it too far from main town area - need to drive or longish walk.
Review 116:Staff friendly Quiet position just out of town. Comfortable bed and good facilities, coffee, fridge microwave. Reasonable price for high tourist area.
Review 117:Could've used a few more towels.
Review 118:Although the hotel is not brand new it is still extremely nice!! The bed was super comfy & the room accommodations were great (microwave & mini fridge). The pool & hot tub were immaculate and you just can't beat the location. This was my 2nd time here & I'd definitely come back.
Review 119:I wouldn't pay the full price for this motel. The walls were a bit thin so could hear the neighbors talking at one point
Review 120:Large room at a special price. Bed was comfy and a hot shower goes along way. With a mini kitchen it was a nice overnight quick trip
Review 121:Room was pretty small. No table for eating.
Review 122:Very friendly and accommodating staff. Quiet, nice location off the beaten path. Everything inside and out very clean. Nice t.v. and comfy bed.
Review 123:Had to change my hotel for my 1 day return trip, 2 days before. This change was facilitated by them without warning to a hotel I had already research and excluded. Although clean, rather unsophisticated, noisy air conditioner, strong smell of chlorine from the pool, musty fungussy smell in the bathroom too.
Review 124:The price and location. Fair but not great value even for mid-summer.
Review 125:The room was quite small, not much bigger than the queen bed. The wifi was rather slow. One morning while I was out, my wife wasn't feel too well and wanted to take a nap. She put out the "Do Not Disturb" sign, but the maid came and knocked on the door repeatedly.
Review 126:The location was convenient, a few minutes from the visitor center where shuttles were available to go to many locations in both Estes Park as well as RMNP. There was a small fridge and microwave in the room.
Review 127:Was told there was room to bring a air mattress if we need it as they do not have roll-away. I have no idea where we would have put it as our room was so small you walked in the door and the bed was right there.
Review 128:the staff was very friendly and let us check in early as we arrived in the morning and there check in is 3.
Review 129:I stayed here with my husband, daughter in law and our grandson. We rented the 2 room suite. Lots of room. We didn't use the kitchenette nor the indoor pool. I recommend this hotel.
Review 130:The parking was a bit tight! Other than that, no problems.
Review 131:The rooms were a good size. The coffee was excellent and a larger fridge was nice as well. The owner staff was very nice and very helpful. I would do a return stay again in the future.
Review 132:I have stayed at a few places in EP and I really enjoyed the quiet offered slightly off the main thoroughfare. Very nice ownership/staff. We even stayed an extra night!
Review 133:No table in room. TV channel selection was very poor, only 10 or 12 channels. Furniture and decor outdated. Small parking lot. Website pictures are misleading.
Review 134:Size of room.
Review 135:Excellent service from staff.
Review 136:Needed updating. Very tight quarters.
Review 137:Location
Review 138:Enter your phone number here
Review 139:We really like having the open windows, and the traffic wasn't too bad.
