Review 1：I booked my room thru booking.com and was given a price that included tax. When I checked out in the early morning she asked if I wanted to pay with the CC on file i said yes and got my receipt, well when i looked at it later in the morning they charged me more then what my confirmation said. I called the hotel and spoke to the gentleman @ the front desk who at first tried saying i called and made my reservation, but after 5 minutes of letting him know i can bring him a copy of my confirmation from booking.com he seen that they did charge me more and said that he would credit the difference back on my CC. Its been two days and it still hasn't been done!

Review 3：The only thing I didn't like was the fact that the website did not specify that you had to have the money to check in on your debit/credit card. I expected to be able to pay cash.

Review 15：The room was clean & very spacious. We had a room with the spa tub so it was a bigger room. Tub was large and fit 2 people easily. The water stayed warm for a long time and was very relaxing.

Review 17：No fault of the staff. However the pool light was suddenly floating in the pool while we were swimming. We got out and reported it. But a disappointment to our grandchildren as we had to quit swimming. I told the staff. They apologized, but did not seem to really care. It was a part of our trip the grandchildren Really like. Review 31：The hang up to our experience was the kitchen staffthere is a AfricanAmerican woman who prepares the food in the kitchen the second yearthat we stayed at this hotel for spring break she kept commenting onthe amount of muffins that our children we're getting, this yearshe walked up to my oldest son and made a statement about how manywaffles he was eating he explained that my 82 year old grandmother wasin the room and he was taking her some food he wasn't being greedyhe was just trying to make sure she ate when my 12 year old daughterwent up to grab a plate she made a comment that she had to take care ofthe other customers and she didn't have time for my daughter thisconfused me because she wasn't asking her for any help and it madeus extremely uncomfortable whenever the other staff would walk into thekitchen area she would make a comment about how much food we wereeating and same to other people that were staying at the hotel thatthey needed to hurry up and get some food because we were eating it allup this was extremely embarrassing and upsetting at the same time ourfamily has spent over $1000 at this hotel for spring break it is alwaysmyself my husband our for children my mother my grandmother andoccasionally my brother and sister.when we stay at Northfield in wealways have to roomsshe has left a sour taste in our mouths about thishotel and is really making us question whether or not we want to returnnext year we've given this hotel our hard earned money for us tostay in a place where we are being made to feel uncomfortable iscompletely wrong my feelings about the complimentary food that they areserving is if there is a limit on how much they want their guests toeat, it should be posted somewhere in the facility because it is notthere should not be any issues about how much is eaten.

Great location right by highway but not to close. Near many restaurants, gas stations, and a walmart is only a minute away. Staff was very warm and welcoming and very sincere. Review 44：Didn't care for the complimentary breakfast food. Could tell it was microwaved. Also the temp in room was either to hot or to cold. Could never find a comfortable temperature. Also our last night there which was a Friday had a large party across the hall.. loud noises and banging. Even early in the morning.

Review 47：We went to the IL state fair for an evening concert. We live about 1 1/2 hours away. We spent the night so we could take our son to the fair in the morning. The room was perfect. We had a private bedroom and our son had the sleeper sofa and his own TV -which is very important. We had a fridges so we could keep snacks in the room. Also, there are a lot of restaurants and grocery nearby. The staff was very friendly. The bed was not great, but OK for overnight. We will definitely stay at the Northfield Inn Suites again.

Review 52：The breakfast was a diabetics nightmare. It was all carbohydrates. Biscuits and gravy, waffles, pastries and bagels, and cereal. There was a bowl of mixed tropical fruit and a bowl of fresh fruit No protein to speak of except what was in the gravy and an individual cup of peanut butter, no yogurt, eggs, or meat.

All the staff went out of their way to make sure our stay was memorable. Rooms were clean, very comfortable and everything worked! I will definitely recommend Northfield to my friends, and will be using Northfield every time I need to be in Springfield.

Review 55：We came to Springfield with our two youngest children. Our room was large and very clean. The breakfast was great. We will be staying here again when we travel to Springfield for sure!

Review 56：Cleaning staff were arguing in the laundry room so loud that it brought us out of our room. It was horrible. After the arguing was over and one of the cleaning ladies came out of the laundry room and saw us all standing there, she apologized.

The hotel was also getting some outdoor upgrades, new concrete, which made parking almost a nightmare.
