Reviews for Stavanger Bed & Breakfast

Review 1:No bad, just make sure they show you where the entrance door lock has the hidden code panel (if returning to hotel after 22 o`clock / 10 p.m.)

Review 2:Very quiet and harmonic area, even if close to centrum. (You can sleep with the window open, no traffic noise). Basic room, but clean. Comfortable bed, size ca 120 cm (single room, top floor). Breakfast was copious and tasty (many different bread toppings, even roastbeef)

Review 3:Too hot and humid in the room after bath.

Review 4:The breakfast is really good. Especially the tuna in tomatoes. And it's a value for money. Since such breakfast would have cost us 200+ in a restaurant.

Review 5:Bathroom for sharing, but you have shower in your room.

Review 6:Staff was very welcoming, Breakfast is very rich, very good wifi, not a bad location as well with free car parking if needed. Highly recommended.

Review 7:Cosy and quite close to the centre, reachable in few minutes by foot. Staff is very kind and helpful, I'll remember the Norwegian waffles they serve every day :)

Review 8:One female staff speak English is difficult to understand, and difficult to find the hotel address on GPS.

Review 9:The breakfast and Waffs at night are very very very good, the stuffs are perfect。The room was clean。The location is very good, from the ferry dock as long as 5 minutes walk。

Review 10:Not value for money. More like a hostel than a B&B. Expensive for what it is. The facilities are not great, and thin walls so you could hear everything in the next room.

Review 11:Staff was very nice. Great breakfast.

Review 12:Although the wifi is free, it didn't work the entire length of my stay. This wasn't a big deal, and there is a computer at reception for guests to use. It was just a minor inconvenience. It may have simply been that my room was on the third floor as well.

Review 13:Close to everything, friendliest hotel staff I have ever encountered. Susie was a life saver! She took so much personal time with me when I checked in that I felt like she was a friend. Her directions saved me. I get lost so easily but I never got lost in Stavanger thanks to Susie. I can't say enough good things about her! The breakfast was amazing and expansive, the free waffles every evening at 7:30 were also amazing. The rooms are basic and pretty big for Europe. The B&B is nestled in a neighborhood amongst houses and adjacent to a park. The staff will make you a sandwich for the Pulpit Rock hike(which you must do while in Stavanger.)

Review 14:Their reception closes at 2200, which does not really matter. The only thing is you cannot use the kitchen thereafter... There is no door at the bathroom... had to ask my friend to stay away from the area when we were staying in the same room

Review 15:Loved the breakfast buffet, quite a lot of variety, esp. for budget travellers. In terms of last minute booking, this was the best deal my friend and I can get. The staff there were super helpful and friendly.

Review 16:The room is on the top floor and a bit small. Also only 1 washroom and shower on each floor so not very convenient.

Review 17:The staff is super helpful. And they serve waffle at dinner time. Very cosy place.

Review 18:Super friendly staff, clean and cozy room with sink, well-maintained shared shower/toilet. Amazing location, very quiet yet only a 2 minute walk to the center. And, of course, free waffles!

Review 19:No lift (had to take luggage to the second floor via stairs, but it's not a very long distance), the noise of shower in next room is a bit disturbing, especially at a night time

Review 20:Great location (everything on foot - 15 minutes max to the bus and railway stations (without luggage one can go straight and it takes less time, but to avoid high stairs with luggage one has to go round a bit), 10 minutes to the ferry terminal for Tau (just along the street across the road to the left from B&B), 20 min to the city center and harbour from which cruise boats go to Lysefjord), very tasty and various breakfast, wonderful waffles with sour cream and jam at 7:30 pm (actually a good option for dinner), good price (hot season+location+shower inside the room), nice and attentive staff, very cosy place, perfect wi-fi in the room (can be used on several devices simultaneously)

Review 21:Only the door handle to the room was difficult 'to handle' :)you'll see.

Review 22:Breakfast wasn't big, but was enough, what's more you can askfor eggs and bacon and the staff prepares it for you, lovely :)there is coffee and tea avaliable all the time and at 7.30pm everyday the staff serves waffles for everybody with creme and jam, Norwegian style... DELICIOUS :) The staff was very very nice and polite, helpful with everything. Because our flight arrived after 9.30pm we didn't make it to the flybuss at 9.25 pm so we arrived to the hotel at 10.30pm and the lady from the reception waited for us. that was lovely of her.

Review 23:Toilet pedestal needed fastening to floor! Needs more than 1 toilet & 1 shower per floor.

Review 24:Not to far from bus & train. Evening waffles. Friendly staff.

Review 25:I was not a fan of the exposed shower/sink in the room. The bathroom in the hallway reminds me of an outhouse/airplane toilet

Review 26:I enjoyed breakfast

Review 27:Difficult to keep the shared bathroom clean when guests are throwing dirty tissues on the wet floor and leaving hair all over the place?

Review 28:The staff are great. I arrived very late at night well beyond midnight and a member of staff came back to the hotel to let me in.

Review 29:Weak wifi

Review 30:Perfect location, quiet, 5 mn by foot from Stavanger City Terminal (Byterminalen), 10 mn by foot from the city center and the port. No disappointment with the room or breakfast. Very cooperative & helpful staff.

Review 31:The one downside is the curtains are not very thick, so they don't block the sun very well. We were there in June, and the sun rose very early, waking us up. Also, the wifi was a bit spotty.

Review 32:If you go to Norway it is worth visiting Stavanger and doing the hike to Pulpit Rock. If you go to Norway, you will be spending a lot of money, as it is expensive, but totally worth it! The Stavanger B&B provides great value for your money, simple rooms, tasty breakfast, and evening waffles! Helpful and friendly staff as well!

Review 33:No wardrobe or shelves (nowhere to put the clothes). Not very good ventilation in the room, which was a little problematic because the shower was within the room. The walls are paper thin and you can hear all that is happening in the house. We were waken up by noise around 6.30-7am every morning.

Review 34:The room was large and the beds were wide and comfortable. The breakfast was simple but good. Delicious waffles every evening. The staff was kind and helpful. Everything was clean.

Review 35:Two very small beds for a couple; we had to push them together but it was not comfortable. Hallways smelled of smoke. No room darkening shades and there were 17 hours of light when we visited in May.

Review 36:Staff were helpful and friendly

Review 37:Shared bathrooms however this didn't seem to be a problem and they are monitored and cleaned throughout the day

Review 38:Staff friendly and helpful; a number of options for breakfast; our room was a decent size; waffles in the evening

Review 39:Nothing!

Review 40:The staff were so kind and accommodating to our needs. Free coffee/tea and even waffles as well as breakfast was more than we could ask for. Our room was nice and clean too!

Review 41:wifi wasn't too strong in our room but all in all not a huge deal

Review 42:Susie (Suzy?) was great giving us everything we needed to know and answering our questions on the Preikestolen hike and getting there. Breakfast is phenomenal, waffles at night as well. If you miss breakfast, they'll pack you a lunch, all included. It was really good.

Review 43:Common shower room was not as clean as I hoped. Also had fungus growing inside. All fixable if it was cleaned properly several times a day as its in heavy use. Toilet has no hot water for washing hands, only cold water. Breakfast a bit limited on choice.

Review 44:Friendly helpful staff. Stayed there before and always good to be back.

Review 45:Staff don't know about events occurring in the city Very small room Not so good bed

Review 46:Some members of the staff are very kind The breakfast is very good Very well localized

Review 47:there is only one shared shower room on the floor. Other than this it is all good.

Review 48:room is small but sufficient. Breakfast is surprisingly good. I love the tea and coffee they serve all day. Also the good waffle they served in the evenings.

Review 49:This place was great! The lady was very accommodating and had everything set up for us. Also, the breakfast was WONDERFUL! And you received free waffles at night. The location is great (a 5 minute walk to the harbor). I highly recommend this place to anyone!

Review 50:Great place to stay, less than 10 min walk for ferry for hike to priekestolen/pulpit rock. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful and really went out there way to help. Nice healthy breakfast too.

Review 51:Toilet was in the lobby. Stench of mold, mildew & fungus. Female owner was very rude upon arrival. Price too high for quality.

Review 52:Breakfast was good.

Review 53:If you dont like shared bathroom / toilet then this place isnt for you. also the corridors and stairs may not be suitable for less mobile people.

Review 54:Norway is expensive but this place was good value even by UK standards. The staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast and waffles were very nice and they offer reasonably prices snacks. The location is very close (10minutes walk) to the bus / train station making the whole stay very easy and relaxed. Shared bathroom were very clean - I was surprised how often they were cleaned (3 times per day).

Review 55:Kind of noisy during the night (no soundproof walls/doors).

Review 56:Nice receptionist who offered free waffles later that evening. :) Lovely, oldstyl-ish house in a quite area of the city. Free parking space included. The breakfast comes with fresh baked bacon and eggs which gives you a good start for the day. My overall experience was really not bad.

Review 57:can't Think of anything.

Review 58:breakfast was good, nice to get some Salmon, Phillycheese, eggs as i like them, dark bread, toaster, coffe, tea, yea it was good, value for the money, seeing Norway is expensive.

Review 59:Breakfast was very delicious. After check-out, we still stayed in living room to wait for our train at midnight, their staff even treated us a pancake.

Review 60:Close to bus station and NSB, but have to carry the luggage up/down slopes. A bit expensive.

Review 61:Some staff are nice, overall they could meet your needs. Waffle time at 9 pm everyday, and rich breakfast.

Review 62:- friendliness and helpfulness of staff - flexible check-in and check-out time - location (closeness to local bus station, airport bus stop and train station) - closeness to the centre yet in a quiet, residential area - 9 p.m. free waffles and opportunity to meet people - breakfast with something for everyone

Review 63:- small rooms - poor wifi in the rooms - bathroom not so clean (but i think its was expected since its was only ONE shared bathroom for each floor, and the hotel cant control the level of hygiene of each guest) - the girl at the night staff wasnt friendly and helpful at all

Review 64:- price - awesome breakfast - location near the local of depature of the ferry to Tau (and then to de pulpit rock) - wafle at saturday night - the guy at the morning staff was very friendly and helpful

Review 65:There is no such

Review 66:I liked everything. Good and sufficient breakfast. Cleanliness and safety. Steady wi-fi. Helpful and attentive staff. Perfect location for tourists - near the bus station, railway station, harbor, historic center. And very touching evening waffles.

Review 67:Altough not far from the city center, the B&B is still a 10 minute walk uphill from the train station. But the location is quiet and safe at night.

Review 68:Our stay in the Stavanger B&B was quite nice, we only stayed there for 1 night. But during this time we had a pleasant stay. The staff is friendly and very helpfull. The free waffles at night was a nice touch :-).The bathrooms were clean and well maintained. The double room we stayed in, is clean and well maintained. The room had a TV and a small sink for basic washing needs.

Review 69:We had a lot of information for your trip in Stavanger thanks to the staff in the youth hostel. Great people. The accomodation was fine. No noise during our sleep.Good place !

Review 70:Wifi doesn't cover every room (wifi in public area is perfect though).
