Reviews for The Soluna Hotel

Review 1:The surrounding neighborhood is a little iffy, especially the hotel next door.

Review 2:The hotel was very clean and comfortable. You could tell that it used to be a branded hotel but they still keep high standards.

Review 3:The mattresses need to be replaced. The ones we slept on seemed like the springs were worn out, and you slid to the middle when you wanted to sleep on one side. Location is in a business district... Value: I think they should charge $10 less because of the buildings aged appearance.

Review 4:The hotel staff was very nice and accommodating. Computer and laundry services were available. The hotel is old, but clean, (although the carpets are dark, so you can't really tell how clean they are). The morning breakfast was awesome!

Review 5:There were no chairs - no place to sit, even at the desk. Only the bed?? There were no writing accessories (pen, paper, etc). Exceptionally minimal amenities and below average appearance in the small room and bath.

Review 6:The lobby was above average, and the staff was helpful. The security was also good

Review 7:The description said the suite has two rooms, actually there was only one big room with a king size bed. It's not a big deal to me so it didn't bother me at all, just FYI. And the breakfast was better than nothing but not good obviously.

Review 8:The nice and helpful agents and roomy space, every penny spent for the night was worthy.

Review 9:Expected more for the price compared to other El Paso hotels. Location was not walking distance from anything, as I was led to believe by the reviews.

Review 10:Staff was friendly & accommodating. Room was clean & sufficient.

Review 11:The TV was from the 80s, quite old with reception quite snowy. It made watching a football game unenjoyable. The internet did not work. I was told at 8:30pm that the IT guy was being called, but by 7 am the next morning it was still out. Very frustrating.

Review 12:The rooms and the bed were nice. Parking was good. Breakfast served sour milk.

Review 13:I dealt with two staff members, and both were very friendly and helpful. The hotel is clean and well kept. The room was very comfortable, and the bed was excellent.

Review 14:My TV had a lousy picture. After changing cables, then TV's, they moved me to another room - which was a bit of a hassle. Internet signal was intermittent and there was very little to the lobby: no shops or even vending machines.

Review 15:Pretty good location. Pleasant room. Friendly and helpful staff.

Review 16:The hotel could use some updating. Carpets in the hallway weren't in great shape, bedspread was old. WIFI was okay at best. The signal isn't strong enough to accommodate a ton of usage.

Review 17:The staff was very friendly! My room was clean and comfortable. Towels and linens smelled really clean!

Review 18:Cannot think if one thing.

Review 19:Everything, I got a room with the jacuzzi for my boyfriends and my birthday and he is hooked. The hotel staff were customer service oriented and we're absolutely charming.

Review 20:No bad experience really. However, the pool and spa were a non-experience. They are shared with a neighbor hotel and only heated by request. No room to lounge around the pool with a lemonade in your hand. The in-room TV was quite small and there were not many channels available.

Review 21:I liked having the fridge and microwave available in the room, though I didn't know they still made microwaves with dials. Breakfast was a plus, included with the room. Also liked having a sofa. The room felt spacious. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

Review 22:Pretty quiet during the week, but on the weekend there is a bar/nightclub nearby that can get loud even with the AC on if you have a southern facing room.

Review 23:Convenient location (easy access to highway and shopping areas, nothing nearby though in walking distance); friendly and helpful staff.

Review 24:Breakfast. Typical in the USA but still it did not help. Map of how to arrive at hotel not correct on booking.com website.

Review 25:Location within short drive to most attractions/malls/restaurants, Large room. Last but not least, the staff were wonderful & so helpful.

Review 26:That I had to go home : (

Review 27:Location was close to everything I wanted to do, clean hotel. Is an older building, but the facilities are modern, clean, and nice. The employees made it even nicer... will book here again for next trip to EP. Which is soon :)

Review 28:The noise from the other rooms sounded like they were in the same room with us.

Review 29:The location is good for the trip. Easy access to the places we needed to go. Staff is very helpful.

Review 30:Strong smell of sweat and old carpet on 3rd floor and rooms. Sheets were dirty; our beds were not made one day. Housekeeping staff got upset when we asked. Pool is not a pool but a water tank. Breakfast was less than basic.

Review 31:Front desk staff are amazing.

Review 32:The pool was dirty (due to windy conditions) but wasn't cleaned daily. The bed gave me a stiff lower back. The room was very average and not updated.

Review 33:For the price and access to downtown it was excellent. I would stay here again. The employees were outstanding! The breakfast had the usual findings: cereal, waffle maker, fruit and coffee.

Review 34:Whatever you do, do not lose the lady who manned your front desk on 5/7. She is the most gracious and helpful desk clerk I have ever met, and I traveled the world for 40 years.

Review 35:Julia at the front desk is amazing She was so helpful with restaurant suggestions and directions Always had a smile The hotel is beautiful and the staff is so great staff Can't wait to go back to El Paso so we can stay again

Review 36:Very stiff beds, especially along the edges. Thin walls with not much soundproofing. Easily heard water running and flushing next door, and baby crying above us. Friends with us clearly heard argument next door to them.

Review 37:Handicap bathroom layout was one of the best we have seen with plenty of grab bars. Great choice of restaurants within a mile of hotel.

Review 38:Fellow at front desk was excellent and was more than willing to help anyway to insure our enjoyment while there. The Breakfast has a good selection and the women on duty didn't mind helping clean the mess I accidentally made.

Review 39:We were traveling through El Paso on the way to/from the West Coast. Needed a quick, cost effective overnight stop. This is great, - right on the the Interstate, easy on and off. Gold stars to the friendliest and very helpful staff. We liked it enough on the way west, that we used it again when we returned heading east.

Review 40:Check-in hosts J and J, mother and daughter ate the most welcoming and accommodating I've seen in many many years of travel. Much nicer than any chain could be, save a really good resort.

Review 41:WiFi had weak connection. Everything else was perfect.

Review 42:Quiet and peaceful. Staff was friendly and helpful. Really nice breakfast. King suite w/spa bath was wonderful. The whole hotel smelled nice. Safe Location.

Review 43:The staff at the Soluna was unbelievably friendly and helpful. Both young people we interacted with sp pleasant and helpful that this made the Soluna an exceptional choice. We were in El Paso only overnight, and they recommended a great restaurant and the next morning helped us get on our way. Can't be beat for an overnight stay.

Review 44:noisy, you can choose from railroad noise (one side) or highway noise (the other side) toilets did not work right furniture is run down

Review 45:cheap, great staff

Review 46:The free continental breakfast, it started at 7 AM to 10 AM we came down at exactly 7:42 and they were out of everything all we could get was coffee and an apple their was no more bread or pastries no more waffles no more yogurt or any other fruits no more juices either and no one was refilling so that lead us to believe they were not going to be setting any more stuff out :(

Review 47:It was very clean and quiet.

Review 48:There were no negatives at this hotel...

Review 49:Clean, comfortable environment. Good free fresh breakfast. Above average room. Most important is the exceptional staff that welcomes you with open arms. Their congeniality and desire to provide you a pleasant stay is reason enough to return.

Review 50:The room was clean and the price was right. The staff was excellent. The location, while it isn't pretty by any stretch of the imagination it is smack dab in the middle of everything. I would stay there again.

Review 51:It smelled heavily like baby powder and the location was...interesting but not in the good way

Review 52:It was clean, and the breakfast was better than most places

Review 53:Location but for our purposes it was perfect. We were passing through and it was right off the freeway ( and near a Costco for gas ).

Review 54:A very pleasant surprise. If it were in a nicer setting ( not the middle of the freeway) you would want to vacation there. But it was quiet , well appointed and well staffed. On top of that it was one of the least expensive hotels we stayed at. A three star hotel for a one star price!

Review 55:Nothing really. Inexpensive, clean, quiet. Good for business travelers.

Review 56:The guy that works the desk at night and the gal during the day are as friendly as they come. Quiet hotel.. you'll have no complaints.

Review 57:breakfast - no fresh fruit, bad coffee, ran out of drinking water and no one replaced it

Review 58:the receptionist who greeted us was very friendly, room was clean and comfortable

Review 59:The hotel was easy to find and right on our route to Carlsbad Caverns. Beds were very comfortable and rooms large and clean. Staff went out of their way to meet requests that we had.

Review 60:Continental breakfast was mediocre at best. Housekeeping has not grasped the "Green" concept for bath linens and cannot discern between regular and decaf coffee.

Review 61:Very comfortable bed, excellent room temperature control. Small facility (only 40 rooms) which allows for personalized service.

Review 62:The neighborhood did not feel safe with bars on the windows of nearby buildings.

Review 63:Location, cleanliness, $$$, breakfast. Thank you

Review 64:We enjoyed the hotel. I will consider to stay again on my next trip.

Review 65:No bad experiences.

Review 66:Front desk clerk, Brandon, was very helpful and friendly.

Review 67:Fab place

Review 68:The staff was very nice and helpful. Overall hotel was clean and good value for money.

Review 71:Night guy okay but very engaging

Review 72:Great value

Review 73:Breakfast needed more selections

Review 74:Value.

Review 75:Terrific hotel at half the price of the usual Walmart hotels. I will definitely stay here every time I drive through El Paso.

Review 76:The female manager was polite and very professional in making sure that our stay was enjoyable.

Review 77:The only thing I could think of that was not very good, and that was the bed.

Review 78:The value was great, clean room and bathroom.

Review 79:Staff very friendly and helpful.

Review 85:bath could have been cleaner and more towels

Review 86:it was comfortable

Review 87:Can't think of anything.

Review 88:Clean room and great waffles for breakfast. Plus Brandon told us where to eat and it was perfect.

Review 89:Good location between the Airport and Downtown. Nice comfortable room. Adequate breakfast.

Review 90:Hot tub didn't work

Review 91:super friendly and helpful staff. very quiet. easy to get to. breakfast is just the basics, but enough to get you going. excellent value.

Review 92:Television reception poor for HD cable. Floors a bit noisy when walking in room and in others.

Review 93:Ample for the price

Review 94:There is no elevator to take your luggage up to the second floor.

Review 95:Location and facilities are very good.

Review 96:Super friendly staff and a bargain too

Review 97:Thin walls and noisy floors from above

Review 98:Staff

Review 99:Nothing-perfect

Review 100:Cheap, clean, modern, good breakfast, great location near airport/I-10

Review 101:I-10 produces noise; breakfast rather simple;

Review 102:very elegant hotel; nice people

Review 103:The staff was so friendly and helpful! The lady in the front (I wish I knew her name) was beyond kind.

Review 104:Bad wifi, didn't really work. Vending machines didn't work or were empty.

Review 105:Less than 10 minutes to the airport. Nice staff. Breakfast included.

Review 106:good reception from the personnel good situation

Review 107:Your Wi-Fi was terrible

Review 108:Everything. Quiet And safe. Friendly staff. Will stay again.

Review 121:We were so happy with our stay! The hotel is beautiful! The beds are very comfortable. The rooms were spacious. The staff went above and beyond to make sure we were happy. The pool and Jacuzzi were awesome! We stayed in room 104. I very highly recommend this hotel to anyone. The air conditioner ran great. The gym room is also very nice. The breakfast in the morning had several selections. We will not stay anywhere else but The Soluna Hotel when we come to El Paso! The respect, care and concern from all the staff there was incredible! Thank you to all the staff at The Soluna Hotel for making our stay so awesome! The hotel is also located perfectly!
