Reviews for Stavanger Lille Hotel

Review 1:The doors of cabinets and fridge should have been on the opposite side, it was a bit difficult to access them, but it was okay overall.

Review 2:Peacefulness, Simplicity and comfort, also complimentary food. :)

Review 3:Two problems. The first one is the location. There was no any information in the booking confirmation that my apartment will be 1,5 km from the hotel!!!!! The second was the cleanliness. The bathroom shower was full of someone else hair! Nice, ha? :) I have some photos if anyone would like to check it.

Review 4:Nice kitchen.

Review 5:Hotel reception is close to bus stop and easily one may able to find it but actual accommodation is about 500 metres far from the reception and it is very annoying to search through given map. When I reached there, there was a heavy raining and walked that far and my luggage was wet..

Review 6:Nothing specially amazed me...

Review 7:Room B11 on the guesthouse is in a converted garage and looks out onto the path people walk into the hotel.

Review 8:Simple but comfortable and a great value. Not a luxury hotel, but the rooms were clean and comfortable, and there were lots of nice touches - including a free sandwich, tea, and coffee left for me in the room, and TV. Will likely stay here again.

Review 9:The fan in our room was semi-broken, and we couldn't figure out how to open the windows (if they open at all). Otherwise no complaints!

Review 10:Inexpensive hotel in Stavanger--essentially a hostel but exclusively private rooms. 10-15 minute walk to train/restaurants/wharf area. Friendly staff. Nice facilities: sink in room and toilet/shower rooms around the corner. Shower has good pressure and stays nice and hot. Breakfast is simple but adequate.

Review 11:no bad experience that I could recall.

Review 12:As a foreigner I am not familiar with the food there and the hotel let me use microwave oven. This is the thing that I appreciate most. I like to thank everyone there a lot for that.

Review 13:Guesthouse shower/bathroom is on first floor which is a bit inconvenient when you're on the second floor. Also they don't let you get breakfast or use the coffee machine in the main building if your room is the guesthouse. Lots of instant coffee and tea in your room, packaged breakfast is still pretty good. Packed lunch is not free, but pretty cheap for Norway.

Review 14:Wifi is fast, room was very clean. They stored my luggage for free.

Review 15:nothing

Review 16:apparently the cheapest hotel in Stavanger, but its faciltes are complete and comprehensive, the staffs are very nice and helpful, and the beds are super comfy

Review 17:Very friendly staff. Our room was booked without breakfast but we still got complementary breakfast sandwiches in the fridge + tea and coffee every morning. Everything was clean, filtered drinking water available at all times. Location was perfect! We lived in the guest house which was 5 min walk to central bus/train station which was starting point for all our hiking tours. Very quite during the night, so we could relax before the next hike! Little garden yard with table and chairs. I definitely recommend to stay here. Also, the gentleman at the reception was very nice, positive and could give some valuable recommendations about trails we were about to hike.

Review 18:Bathrooms were really basic and didn't look clean (could be renovated). The room smelled of fish and opening the window didn't help.

Review 19:Friendly staff. Food basket, kettle + tea/coffee, fridge in the room. Water coolers outside. Comfortable beds. Peaceful neighbourhood (Guest house). Close to the bus stop (line 9 going to airport).

Review 20:Excellent Service, very nice staff, we got an upgrade and the man at the reception was very nice and prepared a lunch package for us for our hikking day!

Review 21:Rooms not soundproof as stated. You can hear music and TV through the doors and cars from the busy road outside. Toilet and shower (in the hall) could use a renovation and walls look a bit dirty.

Review 22:Great Norwegian breakfast buffet! Complimentary snacks and coffe, juice etc. all day. Great price! New towels every day. Pretty good location.

Review 23:Despite Stavanger is being expensive, the hotel provides great complimentary (coffee.biscuits.even sandwiches!) to save up travellers expenses. At least on a great cup of coffee in the morning!

Review 24:Only meat sandwich, no cheese alternative , to long way to bathroom,

Review 25:Prize and location , clean room , big refrigerator two windows, quiet , filtered water!!! Good wifi ,

Review 26:Not all amenities were in the guesthouse- like hair dryers! Since the whole place has wood floors, it's super loud when anyone unlocks or shuts a door.

Review 27:the room itself was very comfortable and the lunch pack you get every day in the fridge is surprisingly delicious! The wifi is pretty good in the room. Guesthouse is in a better location than the hotel!

Review 28:We were nicely welcomed by the reception staff and the stay at their Guest House was great. As we were passing through Stavanger one night at this hotel was perfect. The place is clean and complimentary sandwiches and snacks are great. Makes it easier to have a packed lunch for a hike to Pulpit rock. Definitely recommended! :)

Review 29:Nothing

Review 30:I stayed in a private room in the guest house. It wa clean and modern, with a fridge, TV, desk, wardrobe, tea and coffee, and comfy bed. A basket of sandwiches and snacks was delivered every day, and the bed was made each day as well. The bathrooms were always very clean which was a nice change from most other accommodation where communal bathrooms can be disgusting. Wifi worked very well.

Review 33:Not many choice in breakfast. The faulcet in bathroom is not secured installed, which may cause danger to guests who are in shower.

Review 34:There is a water basin installed in the room, that is convenient reach for cleaning whenever necessary and avoid having to access the shared bathroom.

Review 35:Staff were unable to make any improvements or assist with any complaints. We moved to a different hotel after the first night . This hotel is not recommeneded.

Review 36:Staff very helpful and friendly. Availability of drinks and snacks, good breakfast provided and the option to take food to our room for breakfast when were leaving early was much appreciated.

Review 37:Breakfast was served at from 7:00, and it was not early enough to make a leave for the tours.

Review 38:The staffs were very kind amd the room was nice for the price!

Review 39:The hotel staff are warmhearted . The hotel's position is great. It's close to the train station and the bus stop to the airport. The free breakfast is nice!

Review 40:We highly recommend this hotel. Excellent location, near the city centre. Nice and helpful staff and really delicious breakfast. We got engaged in Norway and if we ever go back there to mention this lovely day we will stay definitely at this hotel. Greetings - Caroline & Marcin

Review 41:Some traffic noise but it didn't keep us awake.

Review 42:It was great to have free coffee/drinks etc and snacks in the afternoon especially after a hard day climbing Pulpit Rock. Very friendly helpful staff.

Review 43:The staff were quite rude when we were asking about the level of noise from the cars passing by on the street just in front of the hotel. The room smelled awfully (like bird droppings) and we had to leave the window open all the time, therefore it was also noisy as hell.

Review 44:The hotel has it's own private parking which is awesome for Norway and it's 10 min walking from the city centre.

Review 45:Comfortable bed, spacious room with fridge, excellent breakfast with free coffee, snacks and fresh fruits 24/7, very hospitable and helpful staff namely janette, hazel and egil made our stay very memorable. Will definitely come back to this hotel and will highly recommend to family and friends.

Review 46:The rooms are quite small and not very nice.

Review 47:You can reach city center on foot and don't have to worry about parking. They give some snacks and coffee/tea for free.

Review 48:No air condition. Since it was extraordinary hot opening the windows made the room too noisy.

Review 49:Convenient location close to the center. Free parking. Rich breakfast.

Review 50:Noisy - cars on the road. The building is old, so there is no good sound insulation and no good ventilation. It was very warm in the room, no conditioner, just ventilator.

Review 51:Very close to city center. Own parking place. Good breakfast. Coffee, tea, juices, fruits are available the whole day.

Review 52:No fresh coffee at breakfast. Curtains were weird.

Review 53:Breakfast was basic but traditional, which was nice. Staff very friendly.

Review 54:Walking to main hostel but its ok.

Review 61:Staff was a bit brusque

Review 62:Welcome food

Review 63:Breakfast sandwich want very nice. Rest was fine

Review 64:Annex room was ok. Annex was closer to town than main hotel

Review 65:A good location for spending a day exploring Stavanger at a reasonable (for Norway) cost. The complementary hot drinks and snacks were a real bonus!

Review 66:Noise level in annex which was unstaffed. Drunken behaviour of guests.

Review 67:Very clean. Good packed lunches. Excellent location. Friendly staff.

Review 81:Staff are very nice, tea, coffee and juice always there, feel just like home.

Review 82:Kindness of the personnal and breakfast.

Review 83:Alot of noise from the hallway with people slamming their doors.

Review 84:Good location, clean rooms, includes tea and coffee and a sandwich pack.

Review 85:This is more like a guesthouse than a hotel, steep stairs

Review 86:close to city

Review 87:Inside doors are closing very loudly. No seals on the doors.

Review 88:Quiet street

Review 89:a little bit far from central location but it is only minor problem.

Review 110:Friendly reception, good breakfast

Review 111:Too much traffic noise

Review 112:Breakfast was always fresh

Review 113:Noise from the road.

Review 114:Fridge in the room

Review 115:good for money

Review 116:The staff is really excellent

Review 117:1. Window blind is broken, so I have to sleep with hot sunny room...... You know, summer in Norway, sundown is very late, and sunrise time is very early in the morning, but blind is broken, so it was too bright to sleep well. 2. My room is located at side of big roadway, and soundproof is very very poor, so it's very noisy all the time. It would be great if my room was at opposite side, a quite residential street. 3. There is no lift.

Review 118:1. Very kind staff! 2. I can eat some fruits and drinks with free at anytime. 3. Cleaning room everyday.

Review 119:A great hotel. I booked the hotel with NOK 570. It totally worths it. It's a small hotel, not so many people. Don't expect too much and then you will be very satisfied!

Review 120:Shared bath and shared toilet. Lack of the elevator, when your room is on the 4th floor.

Review 121:Friendly staff, good breakfast, free of charge coffee, tea and cakes in the restaurant during the all day.

Review 122:The stairway to the 2nd floor is a bit tricky to navigate, especiallywith luggage. But this style (think circular, though it's moresubstantial than that) seems to be fairly common in older Norwegianbuildings and houses. Just be forewarned that it is not handicapped-accessible.

Review 123:For a modestly priced hotel, this is an excellent choice. The staff issuperb, willing to go the extra mile to meet guests' needs and toassist in any way. The breakfast is fresh, varied and hearty. And thecoffee maker -- Wow! -- at least 8 choices, ranging from regular brew toespresso to hot chocolate. The rooms are plain but very comfortable. The showers are great too. I highly recommend Stavanger Lille, and thank Janet and Egal for helping to ensure a memorable stay in a beautiful city.

Review 124:Shared bathroom on third floor needed cleaning, however wasn't too bad.

Review 125:Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Looked up airport bus times for me and since I had to check out very early to catch a flight, they made me breakfast and delivered it to my room the night before as I'd miss the included breakfast the next morning. Went out of their way to make sure I had all I needed. Great wifi.
