Reviews for Noclegi Gemini Dom
Review 1:No present staff as usual in Poland (you have to call which is so unpractical for foreigners), noise from the trains, the shower pipe was stuffed (it was disgusting to shower in backwater), slight smell of smoke from the waiting hall below.
Review 2:Spacious, modern and neat room, all in wood, beautiful building (train station).
Review 3:VERY bare bones. No maid service for the 2 nights we were there.
Review 4:Great location. Less than 10 minute walk to the center of town and another 10 minutes to the castle
Review 5:Can't keep my luggage after check out You nerd a password to get into the building and no information was given although I let them know my arrival time I couldn't have gotten in if it weren't for the fuest who stayed there opened the door
Review 6:Close ro the train station
Review 7:WiFi - very slow connection or none at all. Floor in the room needs to be cleaned.
Review 8:Soundproof windows? There was no noise, despite sleeping at the railway station. Staff is helpful. Don't forget to announce your arrival ahead, so that someone will be there to give you a key.
Review 9:- A little noise coming from trains in the morning can be a problem for some people. - Air freshener was a little bit too intense for us. - no soap in the bathroom... but it is very good place for short stays with excellent price-quality factor
Review 10:- This hostel is located in the freshly renovated building of the train station. - Very close to every place in town what is excellent if you want to visit the Malbork castle. - New equipment in the room. - View on the train station hall from the hostel corridor.
Review 11:There was not a lot of staff interaction but all managed to work out. The rooms are not equipped with glasses, shampoo or soap but there is a convenience store very close for such amenities. The coffee machine in the hallway looked wonderful but required a mug that was not provided.
Review 12:Noclegi Gemini Dom was a perfect location...right at the train station and an easy walk to town and the castle. The rooms are beautiful, roomy, quiet and clean. The price could not be beat.
Review 13:Since they do not have a reception, we were supposed to call a phone number, which meant roaming costs for us. Luckily though a staff member caught us just before we tried to call and let us in.
Review 14:The rooms are located inside the train station. A very nice, apparently lately remodeled, building. Given that it is a train station, public transport is on the spot. As well as there is a great dive bar at the plaza which had a live band.
Review 15:Not possible to do the laundry! Also the rubbish bins are tiny and there's no way to empty them.
Review 16:Very clean and warm room, comfy beds, close to shops and eateries.
Review 17:It is hard to say if I didn't like the location of this hostel is at the railway station. When you choose this hostel, you have to count the trains come and go stright behind the window of your room.
Review 18:Not far to the center of the town.
Review 19:Not many night eateries in town; reception unmanned on arrival; very poorly translated signage; seemed like a resident hostel
Review 20:Direct in the train station, but quiet (windows closed); recently renovated; good WLAN; clean
Review 21:It`s a train station, so all the noises can be annoying in the morning ;) Although it was end of September it was quite cold in the rooms, the heating was not working yet, but the night`s are getting. The bathroom is flooded after every shower, due to lack of shower doors. It`s not your problem when you are staying there for 1 night, but I can`t imagine a few days stay in such conditions. Because there is a sugar plant on the other side of the street you need to be prepared for the specific smell, that is not pleasant for everyone ;)
Review 22:Good location and a free parking place is a plus :) Also the prices are good, for what you receive in exchange.
Review 23:The toilet was not designed so well. I think you will always have a wet floor inside the bath room.
Review 24:The hotel is in the upper floor of the train station building. Before I live in the hotel, I am afraid that the train sound is noisy. In fact, you almost cannot hear the sound of train. It is very cheap. And you can leave your big luggage in the hotel after you check-out.
Review 25:The hotel is placed in the train station, so it's quite noisy. Check in is after 2 p.m. and there is no possibility to enter before, even to leave the luggage. When we were there there was some problem with hot water and the staff did not warn about that. No breakfast.
Review 26:Is really close to the Malbork castel and main street. Rooms were clean and cosy. Free wi-fi.
Review 27:You need an access code as there is no reception. Email them the day before with your ETA and ask for code. We had a power cut in evening so no-one on site to ask for assistance. A hot night so needed windows open so trains pretty noisy.
Review 28:The location at the station is excellent and it's not far to walk to town and castle. Room was simple but comfortable and very clean with a spacious bathroom. It's very cheap.
Review 29:The location is right next to a railroad station, so there was some train related noise at night. It was great having a bathroom with shower, though there was no shower curtain so the floor got flooded despite our best efforts to keep it dry. Thankfully, there were plenty of towels to dry the floor with.
Review 30:We got to the site after the usual check-in hours and the staff person stayed a good half hour late to let us in. Very accommodating. The place was clean and comfortable.
Review 31:Personal doesn't speak English! (Or at least the reception girl Imeet) Walls are very thin, so you actually can hear everything in yourneighbors room.
Review 32:Very beautiful building, very clean, perfect price/quality
Review 33:Automatic coffee machine didn't work and it was hard to know where to find reception. It would be helpful to show a Reception sign so guests can easily find the services.
Review 34:This was very unique staying very close to the train station, it was helpful for finding our train the next morning and it was clean and comfortable. We would give it an excellent rating.
Review 35:Rooms are in the train station building, so outside transhipment noise is annoying.
Review 36:Very nice renovated railway station building itself. The road from the hostel towards Malbork Castle additionally allows to see the modern city of Malbork.
Review 37:One of the best location in Malbork. Can't find any better location than this.
Review 38:Great location, inexpensive.
Review 39:The place is awesome and city is beautiful. Definitely recommend it!
Review 40:It is literally the same building as the train station, yet the sound isolation is excellent so one is not woken up by the trains.
Review 41:I stayed 3 beds room. It has high calling and bright lighting, and it was large enough.
Review 42:Very noisy environment
Review 43:Clean, cheap. Perfect for a short stay.
Review 44:Horrible bathroom - not very clean; very bad and unsafe open shower solution
Review 45:Great location; free parking
Review 46:No glasses, not even plastic mugs.
Review 47:Location in upstairs of railway station is easy. Room was nice. Staff was friendly and helpful.
Review 48:Availability of front staff (limited hours if you need to speak to someone).
Review 49:Right next to train station
Review 50:Big room with comfy bed and my own bathroom. Everything was clean. Very friendly staff. There is a supermarket around the corner
Review 51:bad pungent smell from factory opposite to the station
Review 52:friendly personnel, clean room, well located
Review 53:Possibility to buy coffee and tee TV big bed
Review 54:directly at the train station (good and bad sides) but super easy to find huge, cheap and clean rooms staff very helpful
Review 55:Room could benefit from some extra power socket
Review 56:Location Value for money Customer service Room facilities
Review 57:Everything
Review 58:Noise from the train station in the morning.
Review 59:All good apart from (look red box)
Review 60:it was difficult sometimes to find a manager, although it was not a big deal
Review 61:clean, spacious, reasonably priced, not far from the castle
Review 62:The staff was very nice but one of them did not speak any English, but it was OK because there weren't any problems.
Review 63:Location is perfect, room was very nice and clean. I would stay here again!
Review 64:Locked upon arrival. Rang bell but no one came. Fortunately a nice man offered to call (I did not have a cell phone) and attendant came down stairs. Better English postings would be nice. Also, didn't realize this was in a train station, but noise was not bad.
Review 65:Very large room with nice bathroom.
Review 66:There is no staffed front desk. This is not obvious in the description. Therefore, you must call upon arrival to have someone meet you at the door, as there is no bell to alert them you are present and the downstairs door is locked. [Once registered, they tell you the code to enter the door.] Since I didn't have a cell phone and there are no public phones available, this was tricky. A kind taxi driver offered to call the hotel and someone was at the door in a minute. Simply adding a buzzer to alert the person who is meeting the guest would be a major improvement and remove the only (albeit minor) reservation I have about recommending the hotel.
Review 67:You can't beat the location—it's actually above the Malbork train station! The facilities were very nice, with a clean and private bathroom. If you're arriving by train, this is a great location to stay as no taxi is necessary. The Malbork Castle is about 800 m away. I would stay here again when visiting Malbork.
Review 68:Hotel room is located at the railway station so you can hear noise of the trains several times in the night. But it is not too much noisy and everything else (price, cleanness, furniture, personal and location) is ok, so if you sleep well there is no any problem
Review 69:The shower basin was leaky and the water was leaking making a huge puddle on the floor in the bathroom. The toilet paper was very thin and wasn't replenish so you have to buy it on your own.
Review 70:The Gemini Dom is very easy to find, so tourist-friendly. The building is newly renovated and rooms are clean. The price is low. The noise of the trains is not a disturb.
Review 71:We were traveling with a 4 month-old baby. We chose this hotel because it advertised baby cots at an additional cost. Once we got there, they told us that there were no baby cots. Also, one minor drawback: if you're traveling with heavy luggage, there's no lift, so you have to carry it up (the hotel isn't at ground floor).
Review 72:It's right in the building of the train station, so you just walk a bit to get to it.
Review 73:nothing
Review 74:A very nice and clean hotel in a beautiful historical building of the rail-way station? that is rather comfortable for travellers. Polite staff. The town is very cosy and the castle strikes the imagination!
Review 75:It would have been perfect if they served breakfast.
Review 76:The rooms were renovated and looked great. We had 2 rooms-one for 2 persons and the second for 3 persons. There was room in both of them. We enjoyed the bathrooms- clean and neat. We had the windows to the railway station, but that room was even more quiet than the room facing the town.
Review 77:Didn't like the fact that there was no reception. Upon arriving at the hostel there was a number to call on the door however when I rang the number,it didn't go through. I then spent the next 20 minutes trying to get my room, Booking.com were just about to put me in a new hotel when I asked aman who was leaving the hotel to help, he ran and got someone. however had that not happened I wouldn't have been able to stay at this hotel. It was quite a stressful ordeal at the end of a lond day. Furthermore because it is located in the train station I was woken up at four am to train accouncements!
Review 78:Very clean and nice room. Good value for money. Great location in the beautiful old train station. A twenty minute walk to the castle, and ten minutes to the town centre.m
Review 79:On arrival we thought of having to spend the night under a bridge. We knew that there is no reception, but when no one answered phones ....Because of the trains' noice it is impossible to open the window at night, while is very hot..Broken coffee/tea apparatus, which has not been repaired within 3 days of our stay
Review 80:Spacious room
Review 81:It was hard to find someone to deal with. No one answered the doorbell. I had to ask someone to make a phone call for me. And when I left, there was no one around to leave the key with.
Review 82:Brand new facility, so everything is bright and shiny clean. It's actually in the same building as the train station - a one minute walk after getting off the train. It was not loud - good windows, infrequent arrivals.
Review 83:I didn't realize this was adjacent to the RR station. English written signs would have been nice.
Review 84:Quieter than I expected. Very large room.
Review 85:Nice and careful staff. Very good location. Wonderful clean and comfort small rooms.
Review 86:Hotel location on railway station bilding, big clean room. 10 min walk till the central street.
Review 87:The floor in our room was not clean.
Review 88:Good location near the town, a little conershop nextdoor for takeaway coffee/snacks, modern rooms.
Review 89:Station loudspeakers
Review 90:Very good value. Actually in the station building
Review 91:location, comfort, price
Review 92:Excellent, location direct in a railway station
Review 93:close to railway station
Review 94:no brekfast in a hotel
Review 95:Very nice
