Reviews for Villa Cedra - Hotel & Resort Adria Ankaran

Review 1:Wi-fi not the best, but stable though.

Review 2:Enjoyed indoor pool area (visited midweek, off the season). Breakfast and dinner good and sufficient (half board was a good choice). Location suitable for making short trips to nearby coastal towns of Slovenia and Italy. Fair price/quality ratio.

Review 3:Nothing special

Review 4:Originally we booked villa Cedra but we were offered appartments at the villa Adria (same price but freshly renovated with flat screen TV). So this overwiev is about villa Adria. We got a nice appartman in the villa, located in a huge park with pine trees. Its own beach is just a few minutes walk within the park. There is a camping in the park also, but it is not disturbing at all- you can relax on your balcony in silence. Great buffet. The sea is okay for swimming, but it has an open and a covered swimming pool with clean seawater. Both are great, not overcrowded. I think we definitely would come back again if we can.

Review 5:Maybe only one complaint, but it has nothing with the hotel. In the sea, there was often much sea-grass afloat, so the swimming was not agreable in this case.

Review 6:I liked my stay in Adria Ancaran very much. Instead of villa Cedra we were given Villa Adriatic, room 601 and in my opinion the location of this villa was better. We had a very nice view from our terrace. Everything was O.K. during our stay. Breakfasts and dinners were abundant (maybe too much?)

Review 7:Hotel & Resort Adria Ankaran is an excellent place for the relaxation and there are more possibilities to visit the really near located beautiful cities. I could highly recommend for everybody who don't want to stay in a boosting city.

Review 8:The hotel has perfect location for relax - it is inside the forest and just a few meters from the seaside. It is very quite place and I think in summer it will be more attractive. The wellness center is also very good. The fitness is well equipped as well.

Review 9:We were confused when booking and unclear about a lot of things. Web site needs more work as information on the appartments are not clear enough. More maps, be clear about the camp site, boundaries and road. The difference in the rooms as the location and views of appartments makes a difference. Be clear on where you eat, give sample of a menu. Show which appartments have views, are quiet etc. Be clear on the swimming in sea and fact it is concrete with jetty with some views of industrial port.

Review 10:Perfect location for first timers Rock climbing in Slovinia and italy. Half board in convent excellent value. Loved sitting outside enjoyed courtyard garden. Swam in sea and indoor pool using hot tub if we got a chance, always full. So lucky to get excellent room with a view of sea. Enjoyed walking along shore every evening.

Review 11:We loved this Villa. The room is clean and was renewed 2 years ago. Simple but modern. We also had a bit if seaview and sunshine at the end of October :-)

Review 12:This former communist resort, only partially renovate offers poor condition for exaggerated prices, low quality breakfast, view from villa to a ruined construction, concrete dirty beach.

Review 13:nothing special, we tried to get as good as possible from our holiday there.

Review 14:- No "best price guaranteed". They increased the standard price to make me pay the same price as the one on the pricelist. Watch out! - Impossible to sleep! There must have been an airconditioning engine right out our bedroom that was TOO noisy (we thought it was somebody snoring on the floor downstairs but it was too messy and too loud). - The "resort" is actually composed by renewed apartments/rooms set inside a camping! Please no shame to say it finds in a camping.

Review 15:- Location is nice for families: nature all around (but the harbor of Koper from which you see many ships sailing). - Various things to eat and drink for breakfast - Comfy pillows

Review 16:kindness of staff

Review 17:You could feel every spring in the matrasse, it was so worn out.

Review 18:Generally good value for money

Review 19:poor WiFi

Review 20:Location, excellent main building, swimming pool

Review 21:Bed could be more comfortable Hit and miss with the personnel working at the restaurant

Review 22:A quite place among the trees

Review 23:slow internet

Review 24:Swimming pool and spa, free parking, near Trieste and Koper port, good value for money.

Review 25:no mosquito nets, noise from people above, the cleaning lady done her job but on the walls i found few dead mosquito marks

Review 26:staff, food,location

Review 27:ill-equipped beach, paid sunbeds,paid in-room refrigerator

Review 28:free pool

Review 29:everything

Review 30:We were located very close to our neighbours, basically sitting next to them on our Veranda. Other guests above us made a lot of noise. It was not a quiet stay, which made it hard to sleep. At breakfast, the waiters were unhelpful and stressed, too few of them for too many guests.

Review 31:Most of the staff were very friendly and accommodating, the room and bathroom well equipped and brand new. Sitting at the sea front, we enjoyed a wonderful view, nice waiters at the restaurant, everything was clean and well kept.

Review 32:A bit expensive to get there by cab from Trieste.

Review 33:The location was very scenic, with woods and a great little bay for swimming. Breakfast was fantastic.

Review 34:First is not indicate how to reach the villa we go there and we didnt know that you must go to the hotel reception in other different building nothing to do with the villa, etc, etc.

Review 35:The nature, place and the peacefull

Review 36:if breakfast was served until 11 instead of 10, would be even better

Review 37:good breakfast, old trees in the park, convenient, room newly renovated; overall good value for the money

Review 38:Rooms are very nice, clean and well heated (November!). Locationoptimal, between sea and "center" of Ankaran, green, silent, easy to find, and WiFi is also working at the rooms (not only at thereception as stated by others)

Review 39:the beach; we were given a room without balcony in Vila Bor, even if we made the reservation for a room with a balcony in Vila Cedra

Review 40:spacious room with good facilities, rich breakfast, nice location in a pine forest

Review 41:The beach is located at the otherside of a big harbour. The water is not the clearest, and consist of sharp rocks, watershoes are a must. Both swimming pools contain salt water.

Review 42:Nice resort, good and clean facilities, not to far from the highway so easy to drive to cleaner beaches elsewhere. On the otherside of the road is a supermarket, pharmacy and several bars/restaurants. Very friendly pepople all together.

Review 45:The camping is part of the complex: too many people, very loud and a lot of things are charged (relax, showers around the beach, games in the sea, etc)

Review 46:clean, friendly staff, we got upgraded at the 4* hotel (hotel convent), which was really amazing.

Review 47:no Wi-Fi connection in our room, dirty sea, really small town (accept from beeing in the hotel-camping area, there is nothing else to do)

Review 48:great breakfast, apartman with balcony, quiet room

Review 49:We particularly liked the professionalism and friendliness (the two donot necessarily go together in some hotels) of the personal.Additionnally, the hotel has the advantage of being only a few kms frommajor sites on the Istrian coast and just sufficiently far away from thenoise and hustle of the better known resorts.

Review 50:it was mud in front of our apartment when raining not for kids to play. To crowded in the indoor pool.

Review 51:internet working, clean rooms, good breakfast.

Review 52:have to walk outside to reach the indoor swimming pool. inconvenient when the weather is cool

Review 53:location, nice view, greenery, quiet

Review 54:they have expresso only, no any other type

Review 55:lokasyon, deniz, havuz, spa, muhteşem çam ormanı içinde, huzurlu

Review 56:The "beach" was a dissapointment. Dirty water, no sand.

Review 57:The personnel was pleasant and helpfull.

Review 58:-lots of trees around - nice breakfast -good value for money

Review 59:A lot of shadow on beach. Good Price/Quality Ratio.

Review 60:Everything

Review 61:Helpful staff nice apartment

Review 62:sometimes a lot of stuff in the sea water. WiFi only at the reception

Review 63:tall trees, shadow, price. Cable internet

Review 64:Big and nice rooms, lovely countryside
