Reviews for Burnt Creek Cottages
Review 1:The photos online do not do the interior justice. You almost lost us because of the dated aesthetic online. The feel is completely different in person.
Review 2:The views are astounding. The wood fireplace is superb.
Review 3:Stereo didn't work, no spatula to get my eggs out of the pan. Full length mirror would have been good. Nothing major though.
Review 4:If you want peace and quiet to relax, this is perfect. Fabulous view, fire place, spa bath. 10 minute drive to town.
Review 5:floor plan of kitchen could be bit more better prefer the bedrooms and the dining at single level cloak room
Review 6:spectacularvViews very helpful hostess wood fire fireplace
Review 7:Can't think of anything.
Review 8:The view from the cottage was amazing. Staff were extremely friendly and very helpful. There was plenty of peace and quiet and everything you needed for a comfortable stay.
Review 9:Great location but a little too far out of town. Isolated and slightly awkward terrain for mobility challenged.
Review 10:Brilliant outlook. View across farmland to lakes and forested hillsides. Peaceful rural scene. Inviting sun-filled family room and balcony.
Review 11:Working long hours and living a busy life all i wanted is to get away from people and the city and burnt creek cottages delivered just that....falling asleep to the sound of crackling fire place and waking up to the sounds of the birds and an outstanding view of the valley covered in a thick layer of morning fog was the experience I wont forget in a hurry......
Review 12:The cottage in which we stayed (Banskia) was beautifully appointed, with a fantastic view across the paddocks to the hills in the distance. Comfortable - a home away from home. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay!
Review 13:Our email from Booking.com stated our accommodation had a coffee machine, unfortunately it didn't and when we spoke to the owners they only apologised and said that we need to book the more expensive cottage. This was not our problem and we could have had more than an apology for misleading information. Even $10 off the total price.
Review 14:How pleasant to wake up in the morning and look out over the paddocks to the valley and mountains in the distance. The sound of birds was a good way to start the day.
Review 15:We had a lovely stay over Christmas, enjoying the comfortable lodge, the fantastic view and wildlife. The best place to be near Mansfield and a highlight of our holiday!
Review 16:Loved the location and the views were stunning. Quite and peaceful. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Very relaxing. Hosts were friendly, informative and helpful. Would definitely stay there again.
Review 17:A bit hard to find in the dark. Showing its age.
Review 18:Not too far from town and well set up unit. Although close to others, did not hear them at all. Everything worked well.
Review 19:Electric stoves. That's seriously the worst thing, so you can imagine how good it is :)
Review 20:The modern stuff in the house (cooking, tennis, TV/DVD) etc are all things you dont expect but get, which is great. But the view is absolutely by the far the winner. 11/10.
Review 21:Nothing significant, just wish that the venetian blinds with their tangled cords had been replaced with safely tethered blinds. NOT a child-friendly item, as was also the large brown snake seen slithering under the unit while escaping the attention of some local magpies!
Review 22:Relaxing with a glass of wine and a cheeseboard on the balcony while gazing across the glorious scenery towards the Victorian Alps, surrounded by birdsong. Now that Lake Eildon still has a fair amount of water after winter's snow has finally melted, the addition of tracts of water across the scene just adds to its beauty.
Review 23:About time for a repaint inside and out.
Review 24:The cottage had a multitude of animal visitors - birds, kangaroos and even an opportunistic cattle dog. The view of lake and hills was superb.

Review 28:The 180 degree views from the kitchen/living area were incredible! Woke up to kookaburas on the balcony, cows & alpacas roaming around, and a heavy mist covering the valleys. The spa and open fire make it extra special. The lovely owners even chop and deliver your fire wood each day!
Review 29:Nothing
Review 30:The view, the farm, we managed to see 2 fox chasing a bunch of sheeps and kangaroos when we woke up in the morning. The kitchen is well equipped. The bedroom is extra large. Quiet cottage. A real fire wood heater in the living room. Dvd library. So much more. I guarantee you will not regret. Worth every penny.
