Reviews for Hotel Victoria
Review 1:The breakfast options were very limited and the bread was stale.
Review 2:Mila the receptionist was really helpful and friendly and made us feel very welcome. The room was clean, warm and comfortable.
Review 3:We stayed twice, the first time we had 2 single beds pushed together which wasn't great. The 2nd time we had a double which was fine.
Review 4:Mila, the receptionist was the most helpful person I've ever come across working at a hotel.
Review 5:internet so-so, had troubles getting a reliable wifi connection from my room
Review 6:nice location a few mins walk from anything. large, comfortable room (though with somewhat old style furniture). very kind and helpful english speaking reception staff. decent breakfast
Review 7:Restauarant care very expensive & customer services are dreadful
Review 8:Breakfast is dreadful & coffee & tea tasteless & staff are very unfriendly in breakfast room.
Review 9:Superbly friendly and helpful staff. Generous and excellent breakfast. Small details like the sewing kit, the air conditioning, the cleanliness of the rooms were exemplary. Great experience and the best hotel for the money in over 6 weeks of travel in Russia, Mongolia and Europe! Highly recommended. Congratulations to the female manager of this hotel!
Review 10:What's not to like.
Review 11:It was all good. The location, just off Karl Marx Street, was very convenient. The English-speaking staff were helpful and friendly. The room was comfortable and the restaurant served the best breakfast that I've had on my travels so far.
Review 12:The bed is not very comfortable, very hard to sleep and you cannot open the window. Because if you open the window, there will be so many insects flying inside your room. They just gather on the ceiling at night and we are so afraid that cannot switch off the light to sleep. Almost like more than 50 insects gathering together on the ceiling.
Review 13:The location is quite good, just inside the city center, 5 minutes' walk to the Central market and about 20 minute's walk to the Central Bus stop where you can take the bus to Listvyanka. There is a supermarket just opposite the hotel and it opens 24 hour, which is very convenient. The breakfast is very nice! Much better than I expected. There's quite a lot of choices and very tasty. The staff is very friendly and speak English quite well.
Review 14:Some staff were helpful, but unsmiling, others seemed to wonder what I was doing there. Only one seemed able to empathize with the situation of a solo female traveler, and one was obdurately unhelpful. Prices in the hotel restaurant seemed very high compared to those nearby.
Review 15:Attractive room, tastefully decorated and furnished.
Review 16:The bathroom is soooo tiny and not well-thought at all. The room isdark, even in day light and the insonorisation just doesn't exist (Icould guess what show my beighbor was watching). The staff is notsympathetic, to this day I still don't know if the receptionists ofthis hotel are able to smile, I mean at all! I had booked two night for8000 rub and this is only after seeing on the website that the same roomwas proposed at rub 4000 3 days before and complaining about it that Igot the room for this price. The breakfast is limited to three dishes,no buffet and do not bother arguing with the waitress, she obviouslydoes not wish to help and find any solution for the customer. I reallydo not recommend this hotel.
Review 17:The location is indeed excellent, two steps away from the main streetand the city attractions. The wi-fi was also correct both in the roomand in the lobby.
Review 18:Room very small and old fashioned with two single beds pushed together with linen so old you could not get the creases out and an old doona that was too small and a bedspread so old you would not put it over the bed.

Review 36:I wouldn't rate it 3-star, it would rather correspond to a decent2-star compared to Western Europe; even discounted price was a bit high,and full price is even higher;
