Reviews for Baiyoke Sky Hotel

Review 1:Too complicate elevators!

Review 2:I stayed only one night because it was close to the airport and i had a good price. It is not convinient if you like to go around the city.

Review 3:Never ever try their grill buffet, poor quality poor service, have to repeat order and cost you 20usd per pax. Their captain simply ignore ur feedback.. The only active and prompt service crew is the one selling beer to you as it is not included in the buffet..

Review 4:Good location

Review 5:a sleeping place only guest lobby not very clean & front desk staff not very friendly & not helpful pool area not well maintained & closed too early

Review 6:close to patrunum flea market

Review 7:Must to renovate everything! Havent shattle to airport!

Review 8:Location, close to Airport Rail Link, close to BTS connection, staff was very kind and helpful, good breakfast, good view outside the window, fruit zone, 360 platform moving on 84th floor!

Review 9:Restaurant manager sound rude, maybe his English is not good. Requested a big bed, but given a twin bed.

Review 10:Love the view. Especially the restaurants. The food is nice.

Review 11:The hotel looks tired and clearly needs some painting and refurbishment overall. Restaurant food needs some improvement. Pool area is rather worn. Visitors for the rooftop severely occupy elevators giving the hotel a very busy feel.

Review 12:Great location close to excellent shopping malls, market and restaurants. AirTrain is 5min away. All staff is very friendly and provide excellent service and attention in all facilities of the hotel. Great Views from the rooms (sky and space zone). Best breakfast buffet ever seen with unmatched variety, with great views on 72nd floor. Great value for money, Would stay again.

Review 13:Ask for double bed, given twin bed, went to reception to change was promised the next day, nothing was arranged. Bad service with empty promises.

Review 14:Location was good

Review 15:The mass of tourists flooding the hotel to be at the top of the sky. The focus on those tourists despite of on the guests of the house. It is not good situated if you want to go to the temples or use the BTS Skytrain.

Review 16:I liked the view from our room at level 65, that was stunning. The staff was very friendly and spoke english.

Review 17:Hotel is really tired. Bed sheets were moist and full of holes. Curtains were also full of holes. Toilet was leaking to floor. There was no ceiling lamp in room. Stuff was not very helpful. We needed doctor as I got sick , but stuff was not willing to help on finding good doctor for us in Bankok who could visit hotel.

Review 18:View was great.

Review 19:looks old, too crowded, too much people who wants to visit the hotel bcs of the view, disturbing, located inside some market place, all around looks cheap,

Review 20:good view, fruit bar inside,

Review 21:They only maintain bathroom saverage problems and to change room furniture in new look nothing more .

Review 22:The first thing of bayoki is the staff of bayoki are very excellent t and co operative excellent spot for shopping and chill the rooms are excellent and Cleaned the breakfast buffet view is excellent and also the breakfast is very nice and all in all bayoki is the best

Review 23:Bit old-fashioned, room windows dirty, mostly just indian restaurants near by.

Review 24:Great view, excellent breakfast. Quick access (5 min walk)to train going airport.

Review 25:The smell in the hallway was a little bit unpleasant. Found some roaches in the room. But the view is breathtaking.

Review 26:The 60th floor view was amazing. Even better was the view from the rotating view point (84th floor). The room is quite big and has all the facilities of a 4* hotel. Good breakfast.

Review 27:The restaurant on 81 floor was not perfect for us. Yes, lot of sea food. Claws, huge shrimps. Tons of seafood. But they only boil and grill it. If you expect genuine Thai food as they can cook it then this is not a quite a right restaurant.

Review 28:This is one of the noticable experience during my traveling experience. Living on 67 floor is unforgettable. You can see Bakgkok sitting in a chair from your window. In the 84th floor there is revolving observation platform on the open air. Very easy to get here from S.. international airport using metro train. The breakfast was very surpring with variety of dishes we had never seen. We spent 10 minutes to see all of them. You can try a lot.

Review 29:Location: The roads around the hotel are quite narrow, not located on a main road.

Review 30:Facilities are good, rooms are really big, Splendid view although the hotel is not very new.

Review 31:Due to the sky tower, there's way too much prc gathered at ground floor. Causing the inconvenient of in house guest returning or exiting hotel.

Review 32:The location is near the shopping district. Front desk staff were english spoken. Night market with lots of yummy food.

Review 33:So many people are here. A ventilation in the ceiling was making a loud noise and was giving a cold air in the room till early morning. Drinks at 83 are expensive (somewhere was written about free welcome-drink (I don't quite know), didn't got it). Paid with credit card, the deposit (3000bht) was held for 3 weeks.

Review 34:The room is very good - clean, good furnitured and well equipped. Bathroom is splendid. Breakfast is just awesome! Staff works well. Politely and helpful, as most in Thailand.

Review 35:The hotel needs serious facelift. The room was run down (not even close to the pictures on the site). The towels were dirty. The lighting not adequate. Wifi super slow.

Review 36:Short walk from all the good shopping areas and sky train. Good breakfast spread.

Review 37:Must give free breakfast to under child 12 years bcz in this age child do not eat much and also maintain the bathroom saverages problems and make it room decoration in new look and net problem

Review 38:First of all the bayoki Sky building is beautiful and the tallest and the staff are very cooperative the breakfast is good and reasonable there is lost if things to do on bayoki building just like floating market pool roof top and easily for shopping bcz it is near to indira market that is cheap and all in all bayoki Sky is a excellent

Review 39:The only thing what is nice. The 300m high tower you see from everywhere in town. Good navigation back to the hotel. Breakfast was ok.

Review 40:One of the worst hotels i ever stayed in thailand. This is no hotel, this is a tourist bunker. Staff friendly but useless. Staff was busy with the mobile phone and the make up. Desaster. Million tourists in the loby, every day. We stayed with low expectation. But even the low expectation was too high. Insects in the room. Strong smell in the room (like wet).

Review 41:1) Need wait for lift before reaching main hotel lobby as many tourists will visit for the observation level in the building 2) room is not bright enough, quite dim 3) Bathroom cleanliness can be improved

Review 42:1) Great location near to Metro Station from Airport (150m away) 2) Near to Pratunam Market

Review 43:Elevators can be pretty slow due to the amount of tourists entering the hotel for sight seeing purposes.

Review 44:Excellent rooms and breakfast. All you could wish for in a city that you want to explore.

Review 45:As the last times I stayed the wi-fi does NOT work even with a router in the room. And in the lounge there is nothing comfortable to sit in while waiting for the room to get ready

Review 46:The view is absolutely the best about this hotel

Review 47:One of the staff is not very helpful when I enquire about the hotel's shuttle service. Bad attitude.

Review 48:The location is great and the view is brilliant.

Review 49:Staff were rude when we went to fruit buffet in the hotel. Fruit buffet was opened at 9am. When we went at 10am menu were not still ready and displayed and they took money in spite and let us in for buffet. When we ask them about the fruits not being ready. They tell us it will take 2 hours, where buffet was limited for 90minutes.

Review 50:Good location and very good comfort

Review 51:Location would be good if it was on the skytrain. Its close to the train station but trains only every 20 mins to link to skytrain. Its too busy because of the viewing area on the roof. You have to fight through the crowds wanting to go to the viewing level and que for a lift with them to the 18 floor (lobby). Once there okay. Just to big a hotel for me.

Review 52:A good hotel but did not suit me for the reasons what I didn't like. Good wifi in room which is unusual in Bangkok Hotels

Review 53:staff is rude, hotel taxi stand charge higher rate for transportation and they all do not use the taxi meter. Some parts of the hotel is untidy.

Review 54:the location is walking distance to Bangkok's shopping mall and market however i would not recommend this hotel as most of the staff are rude and the hotel's own taxi service will try to charge you 10 times the fee without using a taxi meter. We stayed there as it claim to be the highest tower in Thailand but we can tell you that it is not worth the stay.

Review 55:We couldn't find anywhere nice near the hotel to have a drink or eat so was restricted to just using the hotel facilities.

Review 56:We loved the amazing view & the bar. Room service was good too.

Review 57:The staffs' attitude are bad. Not co-operated and helpful. I changed my room from floor 48 to 46 due to the leak of bathroom pipe, the wifi signal at room 4615 is terrible. I called the front desk and he said that i need to pay for the high speed wifi then hang up rudely. The rooms and lobby also have weird smell, or i can say disgusting. Breakfast is variety of dishes, but there is nothing to eat. They served Japanese food for breakfast which doesn't make make any sense. NOT AT ALL. The elevators are much weirder. they have a lot of elevators but only some of them lead to the place you want. To end up with, I will never stay in this hotel again. Not recommended.

Review 58:The hotel is at the highest building which is a tourist attraction

Review 59:I had requested for a late check-out at the time of booking as I had a late flight that night but was asked to lay extra for the late check-out.

Review 60:Apart from being the tallest hotel in Bangkok, we had a lovely view from our room of Bangkok city and the breakfast spread was massive and tasty. Had many other things to do in the hotel like going to the 82nd floor to see the breath taking view in the night and also see the mini floating market inside the hotel.

Review 61:Compared to other hotels in this price range, I've stayed in better hotels.

Review 62:View over Bangkok. Observation deck, shops restaurants in the vicinity. Shopping malls close by. Almost next to rail to bkk airport

Review 63:We really like that hotel is a high tower as this will save from the hard city smog. Rooms are very clean (and large), bed sheets are fresh and crispy, it was a pleasure to come there after walking in Bangkok. We can recommend the Deep Thai Massage in Hotel Spa - much better then in many places we tried.

Review 64:Nothing

Review 65:Location was excellent. Lots of facilities in the hotel. Lots of dining options within the hotel as well as outside. Plenty of tours available from the hotel . Breakfast was good. Only choice for stay in Bangkok

Review 66:Terribly dated hotel with bizarre decor and not great service. Everyone working there also appeared to be clueless.

Review 67:Good price for 1 night stay and fairly clean

Review 68:Hotel staff not friendly They were too busy looking after the public that came to view the city from the observation points

Review 69:Great views of the city.Nice to have breakfast on the 78th floor.

Review 70:The rude and unhelpful staff behaving as they are on the fishmarket, 0% flexibility for anything, never smiling and when we asked at the recepiton for extra towels, they advised us to go back to our room and call Housekeeping. Firstly we thought they were just joking. The holel doesn't provide adaptors. The mature lady with glasses sitting at the Cashier very rude and talking to us as we are staff working there, not as we are hotel guests. Too many hotel rules, we felt as we are in a military institution, no flexibility at all

Review 71:Good location, tallest building landmark, convenient cold store at the lobby, travel agents at the lobby ready to book tours and provide information

Review 72:Six cockroaches in our room. We did get moved to another room but they gave us a room with two twin beds, which is bad service considering our original rooms with big bed was infested with roaches. Didn't even offer a discounted rate or better room instead we got a room with two separate beds.

Review 73:View from roof

Review 74:Other than the hotel, the area was too crowded with in-house and outside tourists. Not a great place to "relax"

Review 75:Great place to spend New Year's Eve

Review 76:Too many people in the reception. People coming an going all the time to go to the view point. Noisy and busy atmosphere. Must change elevators to go to your room.

Review 77:View. Late rooms and beds. Great Indian restaurants nearby.

Review 78:Will be ideal if reception staff are more friendly, professional and welcoming. For guest who have their breakfast late, one slim male manager was cordial to inform breakfast will be closing at 10am, however, noodles counter was rushing to close their counter at 950am. No priorities given to in house guest for reservation in the restaurant, as booking was made one week back by the patrons or many groups came in bus loads. The arrival foyer was like a zoo with guest queuing up to go to the restaurant .

Review 79:1. The view We had a Deluxe room in the Sky Zone for 1 night on the 54th floor. The floor-to-ceiling panoramic window is incredibly cool! We didn't have to stare at the night city with the crowd. 2. The room The room's square was like 70 m. 3. Staff and room service. The staff was polite and nice. We ordered some food and in 20-25 min they brought us our supper. The prices in the menu are very reasonable. 4. The location. In the very center. Not far from everything. 5. Value for money. Usually Deluxe rooms like this cost much more than $100 per night :)

Review 80:Complimentary breakfast could have been included for the price we paid for 1 night.

Review 81:Great view from hotel room and sky bar Free room upgrade Close to airport line

Review 82:Many TukTuk and Taxi touts outside (Avoid) go onto road and flag taxi and insist on metre.

Review 83:We loved our suite, it was huge and offered great city views. Great big bed which was very comfortable. Staff mostly extremely polite

Review 84:This was our last night in Thailand and We booked a delux room in the sky zone, room was very grubby and shabby, would have been nice 20 years ago. Also we had one small window in the corner which was disappointing considering the reason we booked was for the view. We booked a double room and were given a twin and they pushed the beds next to each other. Hotel was much more geared up for day visitors to the roof top than for staying guest, it was very chaotic and difficult to get anyone to help you. Hotel was expensive for what you get in Thailand, but roof is worth it. I wouldn't stay again, I'd recommend getting a cheaper (nicer) hotel and just visiting the roof bar

Review 85:Roof top bar is fantastic and staff in the bar were lovely. Rooms were a nice large size. Driving range was good fun!

Review 86:The hotel is a little dated in its environs but the positives made up for that.

Review 87:We stayed for just one night on a stopover to Hua Hin. Although we had asked for a superior room we recieved an upgrade to a lovely suite on the 36th floor. Fantastic views. Easy access from the airport rail link. Breakfast very wide choice.

Review 88:The pictures advertised did not reflect real life and it was disappointing. The building is older than it seems and constantly has tourists coming, due to being a landmark hotel in Bangkok. There are other hotels in the same price range that provide 5 star experiences.

Review 89:The room was spacious with great views (even on lower levels) and had many things to offer. The location was good, as it was close to nearby local experiences and popular shopping centres, but not great as still requires a tuk tuk or taxi to get to the heart of the city.

Review 90:There seems to me to be a definite lack of liaison between Booking.com and the Baiyoke Sky Hotel. Upon arrival I was told that the room rate was more expensive than advertised by Booking.com, therefore we only stayed 1 night and found another hotel the following day. Breakfast wasn't included either, yet when I booked the hotel through booking.com it stated breakfast was included. In fact I do intend taking this matter further as we were both upset and it completely ruined our holiday. I will be investigating further as to who I believe to be mainly responsible for this episode then I will be posting the course of events and how either booking.com or the Baiyoke Sky Hotel were responsible for the whole scenario on several websites that most people read daily. I will be in touch. A,G. Ingram

Review 91:It's so outdated , no character - should be at least tat if old , but unfortunately it's just very cold , unoleasant dirty" cheap " place . We ordered room service as we were so tired after Travelling - we got just one set of fork and knife for 3 dishes , one of them was wrong - we called and they came and took a dish , it took forever to get a new one and no apology , nothing offered for this nightmare . Stay away , there are plenty of amazing hotels in Bangkok and u can just come here for a view

Review 92:View is the only thing we liked .

Review 93:The staff English is poor, wifi is weak, the buffet upstairs as well as the a la carte restaurant down Are very dirty. The fact that is the highest building in BKK is not a plus, long ques of tourists are always in the entrance and at the elevators, the pictures with the terrace to see all BKK are not real as the last floors are all indoors and there is no terrace, just an " obeservatory" with grills around. Pool is useless, few chairs no view no music.

Review 94:The rooms are large, location is good near by the malls, we stayed at 60th floor and the view from the room was amazing

Review 95:WIFI - very slow (in our room) Breakfast for 5 days - same food - very disappointment.

Review 96:Convenience to go everywhere. Airport Rail link to and from Hotel is great.

Review 97:The approach to the hotel entrace is a bit chaotic and "shabby". We had to spend a bit of time in the elevators going from ground level to the Lobby, the room and to the restaurants. I suppose this is the price you pay for living in the highest tower in Bangkok!

Review 98:This is a very tall hotel, with fantastic views over Bangkok especially from the revolving deck at the top. The restaurants on the top floors serve a very respectable and varied breakfast and... more views. The shopping in the nearby street markets is not bad either. The hotel is reasonably close to places of interest and shopping malls.

Review 99:But there is nothing else .Generally , The building and rooms are old . All of the working staff were absolutely unfriendly ,tired and angry , that's why the atmosphere there is quite uncomfortable . But if u need to stay one-two days this hotel will fit u surely

Review 100:Obviously , everyone stays here of the breathtaking view from the 84th floor , and it's really wonderful !!!))) there are the tastiest breakfasts that I have ever tried

Review 101:Breakfast stopped too early. Last thing I want to do whilst on holiday is set an alarm to get up for breakfast. All the restaurants in the hotel shut so early can't have dinner after 21:30.

Review 102:Location was OK

Review 103:The room was not ready an hour after check in time. The restaurants were very hectic at breakfast time. The elevators where confusing.

Review 104:The view. The room was very spacious and comfortable

Review 105:Typical tourist group hotel. Tons of Chinese tourists and some Russians. Certainly not what I expected but I guess it is easy to sell room packages in bulk to tour companies when you are billed "Tallest hotel in Thailand". Noisy, pushy tourists all over the place who will barge into the lift without even first letting you come out. Staff are unfriendly. (Who needs to take care of customer service if the next 12 months are almost fully booked by tour operators)? After the check in, I had to say thank you to the counter staff (not the other way round) and she didn't even bother to look at me nor acknowledge nor thank me (which is the correct way). This happened twice.

Review 106:Location is not bad. They also have a rooftop driving range, for those who want to hit some golf balls. Nice touch.

Review 107:When arrived rooms full. I request 1 double king bed n 1 single bed n 1 extra bed but hotel gave me 2 twin bed only n 1 extra bed. They join d twinbed together. Uncomfortable. Staff reception n check out counter NOT friendly.

Review 108:I love d location of the hotel.

Review 109:There is no wifi in the room (you have to pay a fee) except at the lobby area only !

Review 110:very convenient as downstair are all the "Pasar Malan" during Friday, Saturday & Sunday ! Crowd & safe

Review 111:This place is too jam , outside building is too crowded. Doesn't look like a 4 stars hotel

Review 112:The Bangkok best view is open to in-house guest anytime at level 84.

Review 113:Book in room 30 minutes waited 30 minutes for my bagage to get to room The room i had had 10 very bad stanes on the carpet witch i have never seen inany hotel i haves stayed.Gave me the impresstoin the a pet was locked up in the room Lighting in room was poor and safe deposit box was in cuburt in the floor To get out the hotel was difficult as there were people all ways sitting on the stairs

Review 114:Only the veiw

Review 115:They took 3000 bhat as deposit which was not stated when booking this hotel. I think they should mention it earlier so as to prepare the guests to bring additional cash.

Review 116:The scenery and the shops around the hotel. Moreover the train service was nearby too.

Review 117:The elevators system.. There should be a separate elevator for the hotel not to change the elevator every time you go out or in..and the location of the hotel.. The operators cannot speak English properly.. And before half an hour to finish the breakfast there is a guy telling the people to finish their food quickly.. And there was no wifi in the room!!!

Review 118:I like the view and the size of the room and the cleanliness of the room.

Review 119:An aging hotel. Didn't like changing elevators all the time and no service at the pool for drinks.. had to order by phone. .

Review 120:Love being able walk out front of hotel straight in markets. Big shopping centers close to but markets and food stalls are a big must ..huge breakfast selection. .

Review 121:book a non-smoking room however, a smoking room was given to us. Staff informed us that non-smoking room was full. Room was not soundproof thus, every morning the corridors can get a little noisy from the neighbouring rooms.

Review 122:Location was awesome, room of hotel was big and comfortable, comes with bathtub, free wifi. Value for money. Always stayed in this hotel.

Review 123:Breakfast, decor, bathroom, the general area outside the hotel was dirty and the staff just waited round for tips after doing very minimal work to assist. One bell boy even stood behind me waiting for a tip after showing me where the ATM was. It was round the corner 20meters.

Review 124:The view, some staff were well dressed and friendly.

Review 125:To many poor things to mention :( . There are clearly water leaks throughout this old building. Mold everywhere. They don't run air conditioning in all common areas, No hot water in my first room, smelly (like mildew records). Slow elevators, you need to leave room key in wall in room for a/c to stay on, and for electric to stay on. I could go on and on...

Review 126:View from room

Review 127:Every new visit shaws that nothing is invested in hotel renovation. First visit was at 2008 and still then hotel is getting older, it can be seen and feeled everywhere inside.

Review 128:Location is good. It was 3rd time I stated there.

Review 129:TV channels didn't work, staff clear buffett when you are still sitting + eating, that was very loud and not what a 5 star Hotel should be!

Review 130:Location 5min from skytrain to bkk Airport is perfect, really nice equipped + big rooms, friendly staff but often not informative, wide menu also halal and kosher Food, view out of the window is amaizing - sky bar can also be visited by non-guests :-)

Review 131:- too many tourist for visit the tower, make those guest stay in hotel very not convenience to go in and out of the hotel. very crowded and not systematic to arrange guest and tourist just for visit. lobby reception staff not that friendly to guide us for local map.

Review 132:convenience out to pratunam area

Review 133:super service! I got upgrade to a suite because my double room wasn't available on time. Great location, very near to a train station that goes directly to the airport.

Review 134:Stayed there for one night only. Best things are location (best place if your purpose is shopping), choice of food, fantastic view from the room and big room for the price. I stayed in Delux Sky room. Bad things are lack of cleanliness, dated hotel, you need to change lifts to go down from the top. Its strange but we notice that staff of all hotels in Bangkok don't smile too often. This was no different. Overall, if you wish to stay at Bangkok for shopping this is the place to stay. I would definitely stay there when I go there next.

Review 135:Very difficult to get big suitcases into the hotel, if you have a lot of luggage don't use this hotel,is fine for hand luggage only.

Review 136:Good staff, very helpful

Review 137:The wait for elevators from ground to lobby always took a long time and seems to be always packed.

Review 138:location is central and convenient, with shuttle bus to key places and BTS

Review 139:The suite smells moldy. There was a bad odour. There was also a cockroach in the bathroom. The free WiFi offered is also rather weak. Air conditioning was broken in my room. (I stay at the 50th floor)

Review 140:I like the service. e.g i cannot find ice in the morning buffer.one of the staff told me the machine is not operating today. so i get back to my seat. After a while a staff give me two glasses of ice. I feel very touched by that act.

Review 141:Checkout counter won't hurt if they smile a little and a little friendlier, very slow wifi

Review 142:Large and clean room, the hotel sent birthday cake and fruits basket to my room, this is really a surprise but left no card, I called duty manager to confirm. I would like to give higher rating for staff however the check-out counter staffs are below average. Free entry to roof top from 5pm-2am. Great place to stay

Review 143:Old. Over crowded. Useless wifi. Only convenient the day you arrive and depart Bangkok. The rest of the days will be a waste of time as you need to take 1 stop to connect to bts line, and the train frequency is longer.

Review 144:Big room, good view. Pratunam just beside. Near airport link.
