Reviews for Hotel Centrum Malbork

Review 1:There were few parking places around, but we were lucky it wasn't crowded when we came in.

Review 2:The floor heating in the bathroom was the best during these cold days. Breakfast was also delicious and very good variety of courses.

Review 3:Extremely nice and profesional service. Important - all service speaking English! Lady who served breakfast not only was speaking English fluently and correctly and was able to provide interesting information on history of Malbork.

Review 4:From checking to check out the staff and hotel were excellent. The breakfast buffet was impressive, beautiful and delicicious. Cheers to the owners and staff. 5 stars all around! The Andersens 9/11-13/2015

Review 5:There is a busy gas station right next to the hotel and the rooms have no view. Also, there is nothing to do in Malbork but go to the castle; it would make a better day trip from Gdańsk.

Review 6:The location is excellent as it is just minutes from the train station and the castle as well as being right in the middle of the central shopping district. The room is very comfortable and breakfast is included making the hotel a good value.

Review 7:Everything was so smooth and nice. Staff was the best part of this place - they're most useful people - if you need anything just ask. Secured carpark made it more secure for our car, however there was Blue Badge place just by the door we were more happy to use. Best place to stay in Malbork. Will use again when in Poland.

Review 8:Being a Saturday night, as we have often experienced in hotels in Poland, there was a wedding reception with loud music that went on until about four o'clock in the morning that meant we didn't get much sleep!

Review 9:The staff were very friendly and helpful and we had a very nice room. The castle, however, could only be seen if you lent out of the window!

Review 10:Strong smell from bathroom siphon. Siphon blocked and shower and sink Atmosphere in the restaurant

Review 11:Room size City Center Breakfast really really good Helpful and friendly staff

Review 12:Hotel located in the very center of town, next door from the small shopping center and few cafes. Very helpful staff, got the room ready upon our arrival at 9:30 am! Large room with very comfortable beds. Also the bathroom was not only pretty, but very functional with extra large shower. Excellent breakfast with variety of choices and delicious coffee. Overall very happy with our stay at the hotel and would recommend it to family and friends.

Review 13:Breakfast was supposed to be served until 10, however we turned up at 930 and there was hardly anything left. There was noone there to assist so we had to go back to the room to call the reception. They then called the waitresses who were hinding behind closed doors. Once the lady came out we explained that the plates need refilling but she was quite abrupt and said that we should have come in earlier. After about 15 minutes she brought one portion of scrambled eggs and then after another 15 minutes she brought some more tomatoes with mozarella. At the same time other waiting staff apppeared but the only thing they were interested in was bringing in more glasses and stacking them up on the table. We then complained to the manager Dzordzija (sorry can't remember the lady's last name) who listed a number of lame excuses as to why there would be no food left e.g. that she was not there at the time (which was a lie as we saw her during breakfast talking to staff). We also mentioned that the wall in one of the bedrooms in the family room was stained and it just required a wipe with a damp cloth but she said that between customers the "conservator" does not have time to evaluate what needs to be done. Her genaral manner was very unprofessional and offputting. This lady and her kitchen staff should take a customer service course urgently.

Review 14:big room (family room), nice bathroom, comfortbale beds and a lovely man at the reception on our arrival 27th of July

Review 15:we got a strange room with a high wall around the balcony. they lied when they said there were no other rooms free

Review 16:good location, standard and average everything. free parking outside.

Review 17:Only bad experience was at dinner, due to them owning a bar under the hotel, for two nights in a row the waiter was working the bar and the restaurant so having to run up 4 flights of stairs to bring in each course. Not to mention once dinner had been served no chance of getting a drink as waiter had gone back to the bar and left us to it.

Review 18:The rooms and location as well as majority of staff are brilliant and friendly, best hotel in malbork by a mile.

Review 19:Perfect location - city center - walking distance to train station and to the castle. Tasty breakfast (big choice). Helpful staff. Design of the room.

Review 20:One of the two keys was not working so it took some time to deal with that. Also the hotel is just next to a gas station, hence not a very beautiful area.

Review 21:Clean, comfortable and good breakfasts. It was quiet despite closeness of a busy road.

Review 22:Looking down on a petrol station forecourt the view is not very pretty but great for a short stay.

Review 23:Nice staff excellent room and shower and very good breakfast. The bar downstairs was very modern and impressive.

Review 24:This is a really nice family run hotel. The staff made us feel welcome and the room was a good size. It is located right in the centre of town, and it is only a 10 minute walk to the castle. The breakfast was excellent, with a good choice of. everything, and the owner of the hotel even made us little pancakes. There is a restaurant associated with the hotel, where we had a perfectly decent meal. The choice in town is limited. The hotel also has secure parking which only cost 20Zlt per day.

Review 25:It's always a pleasure to stay in this hotel. Very friendly staff (reception and restaurant), unbelievable comfortable bed and very hygienic. See u next time guys

Review 26:- Wi-Fi: it was my second stay there and the wi-fi didn't work throughout my 4 night stay, just like the last time. - A kettle in the room would be welcome: theoretically you can always get tea or coffee at the restaurant, but a) you have to go there and b) hot water after a few hours is not so hot any more

Review 27:- Helpful staff: managed to change my room for a more quiet one, even though they were fully booked - Spacious room, comfortable bed, nice bathroom, very clean - Delicious breakfast (though after 4 days was getting a bit monotonous, would welcome some change in menu)

Review 28:This isn't the hotel's fault but someone needs to tell the tourism office in Malbork that signage to the Castle from the station and throughout the town would really be very helpful for visitors. There isn't one single sign at the railway station pointing either to the town centre or to the castle. And lets face it, the Castle is the ONLY thing in Malbork (Sorry Malbork but its just a fact). So I was also a bit surprised that there was no information in the hotel either, neither a map nor any books or guides to the castle. I know its a big castle and you can pretty much see bits of it from everywhere in town, but if you don't know which end to walk towards you end up walking kilometres all around the walls trying to find the entrance. So hotel, please a) get maps to give people; and b) tell your Tourist office to put up some signs ! I wasn't the only foreigner wandering aimlessly... and watch out, in winter the castle is only open from 10am to 3pm. If you arrive on the 1.30 train from Warsaw you have to be pretty quick to get round before it shuts.

Review 29:Location between the railway station and the Castle is perfect. Its only 10 minutes walk to either one. Hotel room was simple but very nice, with comfortable, modern decore. Shower and bathroom are modern and clean. WIFI was excellent. Being located at the back of the central 'mall' was handy, as there isn't much else to do in Malbork once the castle closes. At least you can have a look in the shops (don't get too excited there are only about 10 shops !). I had room service for dinner and it was quick and the food was excellent. Breakfast was a decent buffet spread. Staff were very helpful and cheerful, and spoke English. I didn't drive but it looked like loads of car park spaces right outside the hotel at the back of the mall. A very nice little hotel with everything you could need for an overnight stay.

Review 30:The construction works next door and the hotels own tips how to find them makes finding hotel confusing. We would suggest the tip: "next & through the gasoline station".

Review 31:but otherwise quite OK place.

Review 32:t was a tad difficult to find the entrance (which is at the back - behind the main pedestrian street, but once found, there was free and secure parking facilities. The hotel is part and parcel of the Galleria (the mall) so it's a bit disconcerting at first but still I will stay there again if i want to visit the Castle another time!

Review 33:The superior room was exactly as depicted! Felt like a suite... Same floor as restaurant + superb & affordable dinner! Hotel opens up to a small shopping center (that was fun). Food is great! Try it! I DO recommand this hotel.

Review 34:Construction of new building nearby may soon create noise at back of hotel; shower somehow didn't get really hot (water from tap did).

Review 35:Central location of hotel, comfortable bed and extremely large choice for breakfast (food and drinks) make it hard to beat price-quality wise.

Review 36:The hotel is oddly located inside a small shopping center. As such, it doesn't have any real character or charm.

Review 37:The Hotel Centrum is a modern hotel within walking distance of the largest medieval castle in Europe. I agree with many of the other reviews that its facilities are far better than most other hotels in Poland in its category. The breakfast (included in the price) was excellent.

Review 38:A bit tricky to get there by car, as the access is not visible at a first glance (access via main road, gas station).

Review 39:Located directly in the city center and in walking distance to the castle. Very friendly staff, nice rooms, good breakfast and a great value for the money. This hotel was really an excellent choice, I can whole-heartedly recommend this place.

Review 40:This 3-star hotel is much better than many 4-star ones that we have been to. Clean, spacious, comfortable, with a modern bathroom; and very close to the main attraction in town (Malbork Castle). The staff were kind and accommodating. Breakfast was pretty good too. Just around the corner, there is a nice little square, and plenty of places to eat.

Review 41:The hotel is a bit difficult to find at first as it is off the main street through an archway but once found it is first rate and really excellent value for money beyond all expectations.Easily walkable from railway station.Good breakfast and dinner in bright, airy and spotless conditions.Friendly amenable staff,English well understood at reception.Thoroughly recommendable.I enjoyed my stay and this hotel in a remarkable town very much.

Review 42:It was an impressive stay, very clean and comfortable. Breakfast buffet was ver good, even offered very, very good " Gänseschmalz, Supper was very good as well. Would love to stay there again!!! Parking was supervised and safe. We had two rooms, as one large suite, with a lot of space for all.

Review 43:Nothing.

Review 44:Arrived late, the guy on reception made check in so easy, room lovely, great shower, good location and free parking. The best hotel l have stayed in for a long time.

Review 45:Parking fee: £20 a day seems not necessary at that price per day! Unfriendly staff in bar on the top floor. Poor choice of pastries in the morning.

Review 46:Great location, all tourists attractions near by. Good transport links. Friendly staff. Good food and comfy rooms.

Review 47:Non existant WIFI in our room. Ventilation system noice in nighttime.

Review 48:Everything was perfect. Nothing to complaint about.

Review 50:great room well equipped quiet and comfortable

Review 51:WIFI is really bad.

Review 52:The location to the castle is great. The staff were very helpful and the breakfast was good.

Review 53:A littel bit dificult to find

Review 54:Brekfast was excellent and the free parking just on the entrance

Review 55:The breakfast was plentiful and delicious. The location is ideal. The room was luxurious.

Review 56:Difficult to access from main roads. Lack of restaurants

Review 57:Proximity to Malbork castle, very clean, helpful staff and great breakfast

Review 58:Very poor Wi-Fi.

Review 72:Nothing bad.

Review 73:All good

Review 74:Excellent hotel

Review 75:Clean and tide hotel. Nice place.

Review 76:Staff freindliness and facility

Review 77:the carpets on the floor seemed too old and the floor of the shower very sleepery.

Review 78:I really liked the staff and the design of this hotel.

Review 79:Didn't like the smoke smell in the dining area.

Review 80:Close walk to the castle.

Review 81:Construction site next to hotel so not a pretty view.

Review 82:good location, near train station and very close to Castle as well.

Review 83:Very sympathetic personel. If you have some difficulties they will found out best solution.

Review 84:Great location, very comfortable, fantastic bathroom.

Review 85:Nice modern room, great with air conditioning. Perfect location. Good service with a car park that was locked.

Review 86:I was very impressed with the service from the staff and the breakfast was quite substantial. The rooms were quite large.

Review 87:Friendly but inexperienced waiter. Lacking iron

Review 88:Very good, new and huge room with view over street

Review 89:the outside don't look so promising. but when you walk in,,you be very happy and great rooms

Review 90:everything was great the staff wanted to help so much, the food was lovely and breakfast wonderful our room was super and bed so good to sleep on, and very near to Malbork Castle. if we every past we will for sure stay there

Review 91:noises from the street/gas station outside the hotel

Review 92:great breakfast selections, availability of coffee/ tea in the evening; helpful staff; comfortable bed

Review 93:next to the mainroad but with closed windows and the air condition absolutely ok

Review 94:very close to the castle and the city center, nice and very clean bathroom, very good beds, good breakfast

Review 95:New, modern, clean hotel with friendly staff situated above a small shopping centre in the retail area of Malbork. About 10 mins. walk to the station one way, and 10 mins, walk to the castle the other way.

Review 96:The restaurant need a bit help - the food was just ok and young man serving us was nice and polite but was not sure what he was doing.

Review 97:Location, clean, quiet, no nonsense modern, business hotel with young accommodating staff

Review 98:Very close to Marlbork castle as well as the train station. We were able to walk everywhere. The hotel it self was very clean and the receptionist was very nice and willing to help in anyway.

Review 99:Lack of convenient power points in rooms for laptop/mobile etc. Restaurant not always available - but plenty of alternatives nearby.

Review 100:Probably the best hotel in Malbork. Central location, very comfortable, air conditioning, room safe, parking, friendly and helpful staff.

Review 101:address was not found by My TomTom photo of hotel is shown from shopping street - not from the road; Intenrnet on 2nd day was stakced - working only on reception level, but not in the room; cuisine working only till 9PM - dinner you need to have in town

Review 102:nice hotel in centre of town

Review 103:This hotel has good sized rooms and is very conveniently located to both Malbork castle (6-7 min. walk) and the train station (6-7 min. walk in the opposite direction). The rooms are contemporary and spare but very comfortable with nice furnishings. Breakfast is included in the price and there is plenty to chose from.

Review 104:Facility of the hotel is like brand new, I was very surprised it only has been rated as 3*. Bathroom very modern, stuff helpfull and friendly. Excellent location in town centre, 5 mins to train station! Everything is kept clean and on a very high standard. Restaurant in the hotel serves good breakfast with choice of food for everyone. Extra positively surprised straight after opening the door to our deluxe room which was really well priced comparing to other hotels in Malbork! Definitely the best hotel in town!!!

Review 105:good wifi signal only in the breakfast room/restaurant. In the 'deluxe' room, there was no signal or so weak that it was impossible to connect.

Review 106:very nice room

Review 107:It was a little difficult to find because the map showed the rear entrance which was through a shopping mall and there is no sign of the hotel. The main entrance is at the back of a service station (but note that it is not noisy in the room because of double glazed windows).

Review 108:Location was excellent, halfway between Malbork Castle and the train station (about 10-15 minutes walk to either) and backing onto the main street for restaurants. The room was comfortable, the smorgasbord breakfast was of a high standard and the staff were friendly and helpful.

Review 109:Very good value for money. Good location, a few minutes walk from castle. Kind and helpful staf. Rooms where very nice (almost luxury, superb for a 3 star hotel) and very clean with nice design.

Review 110:Restaurant is very hot, lacking in atmosphere, no view of castle or of anything, my room overlooked a very drab shopping street

Review 111:Hotel is relatively new. staff eager to assist, rooms good size and comfortable, Breakfast and restaurant meals excellent.

Review 112:The female night receptionist was not very professional. She never acknowledged us each time we entered the lobby (did not look at us or say "good evening"). She was more concerned with talking privately to a male friend who was sitting in the lobby. It was as if she didn't care if we were there or not.

Review 113:Close to Malbork Castle (Our reason for visiting Malbork); Good breakfast buffet; Comfortable bed; Nice bathroom; Very clean...

Review 114:Location of hotel is at center of the city, near to the Castel of Malbork. Breakfast was excellent and staff very friendly and helpful. The room was big enough and comfortable. Excellent value for money.Wi-fi internet is free and fast.

Review 115:Missing on bar. Malbork just has a castle worth seeing, so lacks ofother attractions nearby or info what else you can do. Tv loudnessoverwhelming during breakfast time :-/

Review 116:Very close to castle, close to the main road so easy to travel to andfrom, close to nice bakery with coffee shop.

Review 117:The parking lot could've been paved.

Review 118:The hotel was wonderful, fresh and new. We had plenty of space in our family room. The breakfast was ample and right outside our door. We especially liked the heated bathroom floor.
