Reviews for Fifth Season Inn & Suites

Review 1:Same as above.

Review 2:Was really happy till we saw a bug on the wall that ran into the next room thru the adjoining door. Couldn't tell for sure if it was a cockroach or not.

Review 3:Nothing. Congrats! It's not easy to please me like that!

Review 4:The staff was great and I had a string of bad hotels I stayed in that actually cost more money. You guys really impressed me and I will be back.

Review 5:Dont expect too much for breakfast, it was very ordinary. Not the lady serving its fault though, she didnt have much to work with.

Review 6:Cheap hotel, quite comfortable room. Old hotel but ok for the price. Bed was good. Girls on the desk were friendly.

Review 7:Well I went through the wrong door trying to get to our room. There's an ajacent building to our building. The only compatable place that comes to mind is a crack house. The broken ice machines was a total inconvenience. My wife had a hard time stomaching the urine smell in the hallways. The way the food was served to us can also can use some moderizing.

Review 8:The acutual room we stayed in was comfortable. Front desk was pleasant and helpful. The overall stay was quite peaceful.

Review 9:Hotels was old. Parts of ceiling were missing. One of 3 rooms smelled strongly of marijuana. The room they changed it to had horrible tobacco smell. Kids running rampant throughout hotel after 10pm.

Review 10:Location

Review 11:Chris, General manager was very unprofessional and needs to be more pleasant with his customers! There were children running around unsupervised, no towels and no staff at 8am!! This was the worse stay ever!! I would like a refund!!!!!

Review 12:Nothing!!!!

Review 13:I had brought my kids to swim and the pool was broke they never mentioned that. they didn't comp the bill. They of course had my telephone number to call me and give me the option of keeping my room or going someplace else. Front desk is nice but professional as well as sloppy appearance. Rooms were not very clean. No one likes to see somebody else's hair laying on bathroom flooror toilets that are not clean as you sit in the bathtub and can see right into toilet. Hand towel was not clean in bathroom.

Review 14:The location was good. Maintenance was nice.

Review 15:We didn't even get to stay. Online when booking we had the option to reserve a crib/pack & play for our 1 year old, and when we arrived at 1am to rest from travels we were informed after check-in that they didn't even have them on the property. And since we have a 1 year old, we could not stay there and had to fight for a refund and take our business next door. Which should have been an easy process based on our circumstance and the false advertising, but instead we had to wait 30 minutes + to argue our case through alot of "theres nothing I can do"... finally after refusal to take no for an answer the employee called the manager to authorize a refund.

Review 16:Looked like a nice place.

Review 17:I did not like that the pool heater was broken and we were not told, so it was to cold to swim. While our stay there, a wedding was taking place, so the bar and grill was closed to a private party which we were not informed about. Our room was one of the run down ones our door was broken and had metal staples sticking out and one of my family members cut their hand. Our room over looked the pool but the massive amounts of children running back and forth on the floors, yelling, throwing balls into the pool was a little bit too much. The breakfast was not like a normal hotel breakfast they gave you a ticket and you go a plate with their menu items thats it and was not very good. The first staff member who checked us in was fine but the rest not so much.

Review 18:I liked that fact that the pool and eating area was all closed in and the rooms overlooked the pool area. It was cleaner then the last hotel we stayed at just a little run down need more up keep.

Review 19:they charged our credit card before we arrived

Review 20:right on hwy but the noise from people above was very loud so floors are thin. It's old but has had some updates.

Review 21:The staff was more intent on talking with their friends on the phone than helping me. My keys were locked in the car, and my Booking.com reservation did not appear to them, so they told me I needed to call Booking.Com on my own, and they didn't really care enough to help. They are not into service. The place is used and in poor condition.

Review 22:Easy to find

Review 23:Would be nice if they had more choices for breakfast my kids and husband are not a big fan of scrabble eggs.

Review 24:It looks really nice. Spacious love the set up.

Review 25:The property is not kept up very well, it's getting pretty run down. The owners should invest more into making it great to it's full potential.

Review 26:We've stayed here before and it's a property with lots of potential. Breakfast is good and the layout of the hotel is very unique.

Review 27:Breakfast is included, BUT you are served a limited quantity of eggs/toasts/sausage and must pay if you want more.

Review 28:Very good location, friendly staff, clean and comfortable bedroom. Good enough for spending a night on a road trip on I-40.

Review 29:This was a rundown, outdated hotel. Poorly lit, no security whatsoever, understaffed with very rude individuals. I was not asked to provide any identification, my credit card was charged before I saw the room, Literally reminded me of the infamous Bates Motel! I slept with one eye open, should have insisted on refund and found other accommodations. Don't believe the online photos, they're decades old.

Review 30:Other than the price, I liked nothing at all! I thought they were offering this discounted price to fill the last few rooms.

Review 31:Very very old, outdated, stunk, beds in bad shape, door latches broken, holes in walls..refused to eat breakfast because of other conditions we observed

Review 32:Location off interstate

Review 33:The room was poorly accommodated. Nothing to set the soap on, no tray, very cheap toiletries. Thank goodness we travel with our own. There was a lot of mold in the shower. No bathroom fan. The granite in the shower was broken and a very poor installation job. The bed had a sunk in spot on the mattress. Cars were broken into while we stayed there. Hotel in very poor condition.

Review 34:Nothing

Review 35:Locked out of our room over an hour the first night as the key wouldn't work and had to walk all the way to the front desk 3 times. Last time worker swore the key worked but found out herself after walking back with us that the door was problematic. Finally got in after I beat on the lock and it started working again.

Review 36:Loved the price we got on Booking.com Most staff was helpful and friendly. Quiet stay and enjoyed the pool/hot tub.

Review 37:Very ruff room, even had a gap to the out side by the heater. Had queen sheets on a king bed, and the blankets were ruffer the sand paper, very wore out. Trashy look to the out side of the building.

Review 38:The room was clean

Review 39:Shabby old furniture, door, knobs, linens. Door knob fell off. Outlet dangling from wall. 1 menu at breakfast. No juice. No fruit. Got bill wrong. Had trouble giving refund.

Review 40:Clean, thankfully

Review 41:Hotel was in disrepair. Staff was distant. Bathroom door handle fell off. Back section of hotel was scary should be demolished. Stairs are crumbling and dangerous.

Review 42:Lobby area was appealing.

Review 43:Breakfast was not that good and lady didn't listen to what we asked for

Review 44:Charming layout for rooms. Hot tub was nice kids could comfortably sit without getting burned but was still hot.

Review 45:we have always stayed there for last 15 years. This trip we liked nothing about our stay. Absolutely filthy room. My husband is handicapped and this makes the second time I ask for a shower chair to be put in our room. They put us on the second floor (no problem) except the wing they put us on had a steep decline which is dangerous for a healthy able walking person. Roaches in the room and on the bed. sheets on one bed dirty with stains, Bathroom (nasty) penny in the toilet, that tells me someone doesn't clean toilets very well. Big ball of dried hair in the bathtub, so that tells me that doesn't get cleaned. Coffee Maker didn't work. Burned out light bulbs. Then to top it off we go down to eat breakfast in a dark and dingy breakfast area. The lady serving breakfast was not friendly and food was cold on top of that she has a tip jar up there for folks to put tips in! What does she do to earn those tips? she damn sure doesn't clean tables so folks could set at clean tables. At this time I know there was more and I gave the list to the desk clerk has I checked out. worst experience we have ever had in a motel.

Review 46:NOTHING! This motel has had no upkeep in the last 5 years or so, we will not ever stay there again...

Review 47:the burn wholes in the carpet, lamp shades, and curtains. The whole in the wall. Underwear found under bed and so much more.

Review 48:That it was close to food and the highway.

Review 49:Broken windows, holes in ceiling, mold in bathroom and window sills. Extensive water damage throughout entire hotel. Staff not helpful. Hotel in total disrepair. The appearance of residents living there long term...padlocks on the outside of some room doors.

Review 50:The room was large enough, warm, convenient. Everything worked just fine. The breakfast in the in-door garden was like a fairy tail. The personnel were helpful and friendly, and the food was awesome!

Review 51:The breakfast is always the same and cold eggs just are not good. We found someone one else's thong panties in our room. But after surgery you just want to sleep.

Review 52:Location was good for what we needed it for.

Review 53:I stayed here on a trip from AR to AZ. I arrived in Amarillo around 9:30pm and would be departing at 6am so I didn't want to get a higher end hotel. Staff was somewhat friendly but pre occupied talking to her boyfriend at the front desk. Linens were dirty or stained, pillows had hair on them, and the door knob to the bathroom was broken and the bathrooms had mildew around the tub. Access to the hotels interior was not restricted, anyone off of the street had access. Overall I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone.

Review 54:The front desk clerk was rude and took priority to a guest of her own race then changed her overall demeanor when it came to assisting my family and I.

Review 55:We stayed in a two bed room with my husband, my daughter, and myself.Very spacious, clean, and comfortable rooms. We loved it. Breakfast was simple and delicious.

Review 56:Non smoking room had strong smoking smell. Very unpleasant. Parking lot should have been plowed & salted. Mold around tub. Old fashioned TV

Review 57:Front desk staff and cooking staff were very friendly. Breakfast was way above quality of other places we have stayed.

Review 58:Noise from people using indoor pool was VERY loud, past 10pm. We had trouble falling asleep.

Review 59:Very friendly, helpful staff, hot breakfast, comfortable bed, very nice lobby décor.

Review 60:This place is old, the rooms and the common areas all need a good modernisation. The place was still acceptable and represented good value but before long it is going to need work. WiFI was almost non existent. The carpark outside our room had been used for cattle trucks in the not too distant past. Very fragrant. At least the smell was not in the rooms.

Review 61:In a good location right on the highway but still quiet. Close to restaurants

Review 62:None

Review 63:The location was good, we had a funeral down the road. Very convenient to go to. Staff was very useful, alright breakfast, coffee in room was nice, beds were good, clean room. Room 105, the bath room door need some work and the front door also.

Review 64:All rooms open to an inside atrium area which is where the breakfast is served and is a place to hang out. The front of the room is all windows, so it's noisy. We were on the first floor and had a little dog that kept getting under the curtains and wasn't used to being where people kept walking back and forth. Poor remodeling job, we were concerned about the electricity, and several of the plugs looked unsafe.

Review 65:Room was spacious and appeared clean, but the remodeling job was poorly done.

Review 66:I had a room with inside and outside doors. Draft from outside door, but I'am being pickie!

Review 67:Staff were great. Felt like it was a grand hotel once! Added character! Would stay again.

Review 68:Only noises from neighborhood businesses,,,

Review 69:Great place for family members to visit,,,comfortable bed ?,,,then they went to extra special time to find us cream rinse!plus they found my lost necklace and kept it for me,,,we decided to stay 2 more extra nights!

Review 70:I didn't like the overall look at hotel. Older buildings don't have to look old. Need to paint a little and the overall appearance would be much more improved.

Review 71:comfortable bed

Review 72:Easy access off I-40, there were several restaurants within walking distance to the hotel. Hotel is beautifully decorated and very clean. Comfortable bed and a full breakfast served.

Review 73:That we couldn't stay one more evening there.

Review 74:An ATRIUM!!! 3floors circle around and the French doors open up to enable atrium views. It is a mature property that at once was a Grand hotel. They accept service animals and pets

Review 75:Evidently I stayed during the auditions for the Grand Ole Opera...Bluegrass fans using the atrium but in all fairness they knocked off at a reasonable time for me to get a good nights sleep. Very basic breakfast, but for the price paid any breakfast was unexpected.

Review 76:Location was great for the seminar I was there to attend. Beautiful atrium area is the center piece of the hotel. The room I was given was spacious and had all the amenities one could need. Very close to several restaurants.

Review 77:Heating unit had an odor, didn't agree with the allowance of alcohol at pool.

Review 78:Room quiet, beds very clean, all the staff was awesome. Would definitely stay again.

Review 79:The beds wore soft and comfortable we got to stay right in front of pool the breakfast was awesome and staff made us feel welcomed especially the general manager!! He was very understanding and helpful

Review 80:Drain in sink was very rusty, no screen on the faucet. Very crowded in room with chair wedged in by the bed. Old fashioned TV and many parts were in bad need of painting. Breakfast person was not friendly, and breakfast choices limited.

Review 81:Not much. Facilities needed upgrading. Atrium is beautiful, but too dark for breakfast.

Review 82:friendly staff availability of smoking rooms convenient interstate location dated, but functional good value for the money nice indoor pool and hot tub

Review 83:Had trainee at check-in, person training was too busy talking to construction workers instead of helping her. Had to ho back twice to check in because rooms weren't ready. Carpets had not been vacuumed and were filthy. Desk chair was filthy. Holes in wall in bathroom, no rubber shower mat for bathroom and tub was very slippery. Maids just walked into your rooms without knocking. Would be nice if they could communicate with you, such as being able to speak English. Side doors were never locked for people's security. Used to be a very nice motel. I have stayed there on several occasions while traveling, but highly doubt I will book this motel again.

Review 84:Not a whole lot to be honest.

Review 85:For the price, this place was an excellent choice!! Though a little bit rundown, needs some simple maintenance done, far and above similarly priced establishments!

Review 86:This hotel was great for the price, beds were comfortable and the room was clean. The whole place seems like it was very upscale about 40 years ago, which we found charming, but don't get your hopes up for anything too fancy at $40 a night. Breakfast was included and was perfectly fine, but nothing special. I've definitely paid more to stay in much worse places than this! Worth it.

Review 87:The exterior steps had what appeared to be vomit on them for the entire two days we were there. The shower had mold in the corners, and the cleaning staff took a travel pillow when the cleaned. It was small, and probably rolled up in the sheets by accident. Kids racing down the hallways after midnight.

Review 88:The rooms were big and spacious, the breakfast was hot and good, the mattresses seemed new and not worn out, and there was a guy (may have been the manager), that seemed to understand the rest of the staff was pretty inexperienced, and so he helped.

Review 89:Drab decor. Scratched headboards, old style tv, picture screen was sodark and couldn't be adjusted. Inside of bathroom door and been testpainted in a triangular sweep and paint was left on door. Bed pillowswere small and very hard and uncomfortable.

Review 90:Location was easily accessible from the interstate

Review 91:Just a little bit of mold behind the bathroom door.

Review 92:The rooms are beautiful, and the beds are very comfortable. (Smoking room +++++) Allows those of us that do smoke able to enjoy our stay without having to go outside. Thank You.

Review 93:What I liked about this hotel is the over all design of it. The style the hotel was in was just amazing to look at. The room was pretty and comfortable, and the staff was incredibly welcoming.

Review 94:The rooms were clean for the most part but in the shower it looked like black mold was growing in the cylacone. Come on now, all you have to do is spray bleach on that stuff and it quits....

Review 95:The facility was an older one but I adored how the front of each room looked out towards the indoor pool. The front of each room was adorable with all glass looking out.

Review 96:Breakfast good with scrambled eggs, toast, bacon, and oatmeal, juices and coffee/tea. Bacon and oatmeal a little wimpy but tasted great.

Review 97:QUIET! (it sets perpendicular to I-40 not parallel, so road noise is at end of building). Nice but older room, very nice tho. Comfortable beds, very nice interior room entry layout with rooms all facing into the big common/dining area, but no noise heard. They are remodeling in near future.

Review 98:Pet fee of $25 per pet is way too high, compared to most hotels, that charge only $10...we had 2 small pets, and paid more for them, than the cost of the room for adults... pretty ridiculous if you think about it...

Review 99:Great for the price. Beautiful lobby area, nice, but a bit outdated rooms, friendly stuff, fresh cooked breakfast.

Review 100:They took the money out of my account before I arrived.

Review 101:Check in simple, clean, quiet and a surprisingly beautiful upscale room! Great value for the money!

Review 102:The rooms were badly in need of repair. Holes in the walls, paint chips etc. some rooms were boarded up from the outside. It was dark and scary

Review 103:The only good thing was it was in the right place

Review 104:said it has a bar and cafe and it did not. tv reception was not good, tv's were old, everything was old but it did have charm.

Review 105:the price and the set up

Review 106:The pool was cloudy with broken ladders. The bed was too hard and the shower ceiling was oeiling and the building looked dirty and in poor shape.

Review 107:Location and breakfast

Review 108:Dust and dirt behind my bed. Really old apolstery and curtains. I was on 1st floor and the pool noise was loud until late at night.

Review 109:Pool area is beautiful.

Review 110:The pool was cloudy. Building in need of serious repairs. Ceiling tiles missing. Carpet & flooring worn, stained, or missing. There was mold on the ceiling in our room. The hair dryer was missing from the bathroom. Had to have a coupon for the "complimentary" breakfast.

Review 111:The room, bedding and towels did not seem clean visually or by feel, they had an almost sticky quality to them. There were stains on both the towels and pillow cases and mildew in the shower in addition to the bad repair work in the ceiling. Breakfast was extremely disappointing. You are only allowed one serving and have only 4 food items to choose from.

Review 112:Room service food option was nice. Unique layout and on site arcade were nice as well.

Review 113:they served the same exact breakfast every morning. The rooms were hot at night. some staff members were rude. no carts available at anytime to help transport luggage.

Review 114:Having the pool inside had high humidity in the hotel. There was water damage on the ceiling and it smelled strongly of chlorine before entering the room. Multiple lights were not working inside the king suite and the air conditioning did not reach the sitting room by the door. The breakfast did not offer much of a variety. Small portions were given on the first plate and you had to pay for more food.

Review 115:The staff was really friendly and the atmosphere was very relaxed.

Review 116:The breakfast you have to indicate you will want before you get there and get a ticket for breakfast. You get a set amount on your plate served by staff, It is not a help yourself for the hot food. Also they close and lock the access to the pool at 9 which we did not know before hand.

Review 117:great price and the pool is in a great location to keep an eye on kids and family. Nice large room and bathroom was an good size.

Review 118:They never open the swimming pool, even though I complain, it seams they never listened and lack of maintenance all over the building. The back doors entrance of the building very dirty and breakfast was served very early for vacations with the family, from 6,30 to 9

Review 119:Witeless connection to the Internet

Review 120:Stair rails were sticky. Shower wouldn't shut off. Carpet and doors worn out. Too much money for too little quality.

Review 121:The courtyard on the inside has a nice feel. It just needs to be updated.

Review 122:There were people smoking at the indoor pool area and we could smell smoke in our non-smoking room. The breakfast wasn't bad if you like scrambled eggs and toast, and powdered creamer for your coffee. The carpet had big chunks cut out of it and the walls were poorly patched from holes. It needs some work.

Review 123:The bed was comfortable to sleep in and the staff was friendly.

Review 124:The room smelled very stale and the ac unit barely cooled off the room overnight on the highest setting. The bathroom was peeling paint, had mold on the shower walls, the shower curtain rod was not attached to the wall very well, so that the curtain kept sliding open and the non-slip mat in the tub was deteriorating. Some of the towels had a funky smell and there were only 2 sets available for 5 people. Breakfast of scrambled eggs and sausage was skimpy and served to you, so no seconds. No cold cereal available for my grandkids that don't like eggs and sausage. The atrium was poorly lit and some of the hallway carpet was completely threadbare. People propped open the many outside doors and smoked on the stairwells, so that the hallways smelled bad. The entire front of the rooms are glass windows and doors covered by curtains. Definitely needs more maintenance and better housekeeping.

Review 125:The room rate was reasonable and offered a free hot breakfast with the stay. The room was large and even had a small closet for storing things out of the way. The night attendant offered pool towels since there were no more bath towels available when we asked. The inside pool looked clean enough, so the kids went swimming before we checked out.

Review 126:The outside and entryways could be cleaned up for a better appearance.

Review 127:It was comfortable for short stay. Inside was nice, needed a little work but not bad.

Review 128:The breakfast is one small plate of eggs or oatmeal. If you want another plate you have to pay. I'm used to even cheaper hotels having options. There is free wifi but it is a completely open network so I think a lot of people were on it. The hotel is older and dated. A little run down. The sign out front says there is a bar and grill but there isn't.

Review 129:The room was clean. The staff was friendly. I like the room set up

Review 130:The area is not the best. The rooms on the first floor have two doors one to the parking lot and one to the atrium where the pool is. There were fleas and spiders in the bathroom and it was not very clean.

Review 131:Nice pool and atrium area.

Review 132:The room had a moldy smell and had smoke smell as well. There were holes in the walls. Our door was hard to open and took us a long time to close. The spa didn't work and there was trash all around the premises. The breakfast was a long line of waiting for one server to get your breakfast ready- no self serve areas.

Review 133:It was a nice staff and front office area was clean.

Review 134:It is an old hotel, that is in need of remodeling. We did not like the breakfast. The "cook" rationed a small bit of scrambled eggs, two small sausages, and 3 half pieces of plain white bread-toasted. The coffee containers were empty when I went to get coffee the first time.

Review 135:It was very close to the freeway - so it was easy on and off.

Review 136:Reservation was lost. Was given a smoking room on 3rd floor (This was an issue as I had several people in my party with asthma, as well as a handicapped person.) Room was not in the best shape. Pool was nasty!

Review 137:Location was ok. Needs better signage..unable to figure out if we were @ the right place.

Review 138:The facility was not taken care of. Broken items had not been replaced or refilled. Breakfast was not good at all. Staff seemed to know they were on their way out of a job soon.
