Review 1：Room ("superior") rather elementary and cramped; hooks on wall but no cupboard space, no bath mat; chair had to be asked for.

Review 3：LOTS of problems: door to room would not lock consistently when leaving - staff not responsive to problem; expensive restaurant only served high cost buffet for dinner; no convenient place in room for computer use i.e. - no desk; poor WIFI

Review 9：Breakfast venue is ok, but the buffet is a health hazard. The fruit and other types of food where located at the corners of tables where people could sneeze into the food. There was no proper coverage of the food. I avoid food that is improperly positioned in a buffet to try to prevent getting sick. With lots of kids around, that kind of positioning of food (also how bread is handled by children, bare-handedly handling food during breakfast) could easily cause disease outbreaks.

Review 11：Great experience on the whole; only a few gripes: 1. Having to pay a hefty subscription for even basic, free TV channels. 2. No bedside table on one side of the bed was a little awkward & inconvenient. 3. Room cleaning commenced during breakfast and cleaning equipment seemed to be in the way of people with strollers, older people etc trying to check out of their rooms.

Review 20：We upgraded the room so that we could have both he kids on a sleepingsofa instead of a bunk bed; it cost us 200nok more but we got a view towards Captain Sabeltanns sailship and that was a big upside for the kids. They also loved the playroom in the basement, its always a success. We'll be back next year.

Review 21：High-season pricing made the very small family room even more whimsical from a pricing standpoint. Also, if you are a Rica rewards member, all your benefits are blocked out during the high season.

Review 22：The hotel was fully staffed for the high season, excellent service from check-in, breakfast, and especially the special balloon animal service in the childrens play area which is not normally there. Room was cleaned properly, with smiles from the staff when walking by, which is hard when the entire hotel is full of children.

Review 69：when for three of us arrived at 4pm housekeeping was still working in hallways with cleaning stuff all over. a little difficult to drag luggage around cleaning stuff and laundry. expensive food in restaurant.....but then all of Norway is that way. buffet dinner with 4 glasses of wine $225 US $ for three of us. would have been good to get more info on the zoo upon check in. all these items are no big deal and I would definitely stay here again.

Review 70：great location overlooking the zoo lagoon. Ark shaped hotel with animal themed rooms. helpful staff in restaurant and desk. some rooms have patio with great views to relax on with a cup of tea or a glass of wine. Extremely kid friendly with kid play area within the hotel and climb on furniture in lobby. a great place for the family. large selection for buffet breakfast and dinners. if in Kristiansand this is the place to stay. out of town and away from all the tourists from the ferry boats.

Review 71：No cupboards in the room, we had to store our luggage beneath the bed and pull them out to get dressed. Not nearly enough space for a family of four.

Review 73：When I got to the hotel I was given a room that was occupied by other people, when I opened the door there was clothes and bags, and personal belongins to the people staying there. Then I was given an other room an hour later than the chek-in time. Besides that, I consider the rooms quite small for 2 adults and 2 children (11 and 12 years old) There is too much mess in the corridors when the maids are making the rooms.
