Review 1：Incredibly tacky. But that's just a taste issue. We went there for a Constanta Squash tournament I was taking part. I explicitly chose a location that I thought it was going to be quiet. However, on the Saturday night, a huge wedding was taking place on the beach. We could not sleep up until 5AM because of gigantic noise. When calling the reception at 3:30AM asking what is going on, I was told that there's a wedding. After stating that we were hoping to rest - the answer was "There's a wedding taking place!". The wedding was on the complex grounds (Phoenicia Resort or something, affiliated with the hotel, same owners). I asked when will it be done: "I don't know. It's a wedding". I found the answers received to be rude and condescending. There was no sense of respect for the guests that paid big money to be there and rest. The price of the property was also extremely high, considering the services but that, unfortunately, is something that is to be found all over the Romanian sea side. Not recommending this place.

Review 7：It's too expensive. I have traveled all over Europe and I can say Romanian seaside prices are way over the regular prices of a 4*/5* hotel. Furthermore, if you want something a bit more sophisticated than a double room, make sure you are the - pink, blue and all that kitsch stuff - kind of person. Otherwise, stick to a double room, with pale colours and standard design. It's far from the centre but it's right where Sunwaves happens every summer, and where half of the big clubs are. If you have a car, everything is 10 minutes away.

Review 8：Phoenicia is always a good idea if you visit Romania's seaside: it has a private beach and a beach bar, a delicious breakfast (one of the best), and a friendly staff. The double rooms are big and nicely decorated. I have stayed here 3 times and I will definitely go back.

Review 11：The cleaning staff almost every day forgot something (no towels, no beach towels, minibar refresh), I had to keep asking for every small thing ... Very hard bed, even for somebody used to sleepeng on a orthopedic mattress. I even saw a black beetle in the room ... not to mention the offensive odor of insecticide from the bathroom. Rude staff at the reception, slams your phone after you have a complaint. Due to nearby chimical plant of Navodari, a smell like burnt rubber reached from time to time. Lazy staff at the pool, took 10 minutes to bring a drink even if they had nothing else to do.

Review 12：We made a reservation, had it cancelled, and then we booked again...this was back in April. The morning after we checked in we learned that there was another reservation that we were not aware of...and after much back and forth they did not budge from charging us for one night (for 3 rooms since we booked for our friends). It was disappointing to say the least. Hard to imagine this happening in the US where I live...

Review 17：I've been given at first,a double room dirty , with terrible messy beds and no towels in the bathroom. Afterwards, I was upgraded to a noisy apartment but still not a proper 4 stars room. The room-service is worst than a cheap and ordinary fast-food, not to mention overpriced. The hotel lacks organisation, cleanness, good management and a proper breakfast for a 4 stars hotel( no quality food). It's way overpriced for what it's actually offering. I would not recommend this hotel at all.

Review 25：The big problem that Romania is suffering from is service, and not here particularly in this hotel, but everywhere. Hotel and restaurant staff is simply undertrained. I saw 2 men working at the hotel entrance and none of them helped us with our bagages.

Review 33：We really liked the big, nice room at the 8th floor. The hotel is very nice and with luxury details. We liked the beach and we enjoyed the pool and the pool bar. The pool staff was very helpful. We only had breakfast included and I can say that the food was good and various, however, the stuff was not sufficient and the refills were not made as quick as it should be.

Review 35：The stuff at the reception are nice looking girls with awfull behavior and next to zero professionalism. The restaurant is almost always dirty during breakfast and lunch hours because the few staff can't keep up with the mess done by children (there were a lot of kids staying at the hotel). Not all stuff were bad, but they need to supliment their number and at the lobby and pool definetly better qualified girls. The rest is good to very good, so I recommand the hotel. A spa would be great...

Review 36：The rooms are superb, especially at the 8'th floor, the pool, lobby and the beach also wonderfull. The rooms are clean and the bed pretty good. Is situated at the edge of Mamaia so it's very relaxing at the beech. The hotel has 5 star rooms, but the rest is just ok.

Separate beach and sun bed from Phenicia Holiday (phenicia Holiday Guest pay a small price why same beach for luxury should be a private area )

Review 66：- A very good hotel with big rooms and nice view of the black sea. -The bed is very comfy -the bathroom has a big window and u can take a bath ,relax and watch the sea and the pool area at the same time. - Breakfast and lunch are very good with a lot of choices. -Big pool - the restaurant has a very nice design as well as the hole place. -I will give this hotel a 10 for a four star because in my opinion has an 8.3-8.6 according to booking.com standards.
