Reviews for Dillon Inn
Review 1:Decor was a tad outdated.
Review 2:Less than a 10 minute drive to Keystone. Great deal for its location. Rooms were clean and the staff were super welcoming and helpful. Would definitely stay here again for our next ski vacation. Walking distance to brewery next door. Restaurants and grocery store located just across the street.
Review 3:Building and rooms are a little worn but clean and comfortable. Very good value considering within. 20 mins of Breckenridge and Copper Mtn.
Review 4:Close to highway, restaurants within walking distance.
Review 5:The staff (seemed like the owner or manager). She was snappy when I checked in. She gave off the impression that I was disturbing her facebooking or whatever she was doing. She was the same way in the morning. Maybe she was having a bad two days,or maybe she is like that all the time. In addition: The pool and hot tub close at 10 SHARP. When you arrive after night skiing and have a quick bite to eat there isn't time to soak.
Review 6:The room was nice and very clean/comfortable.
Review 7:The room stinks of mold. The staff is not willing to help you. We asked to change rooms because ours was smelling like wet old clothes and the woman at the reception said they were full, even though the parking lot was empty.
Review 8:I was charged for my 1st night before I arrived and my 2nd night as soon as I arrived.Reluctant front office to cancel my 2nd night. No clock or coffee pot in the room. Room smelled like old smoking room.
Review 9:Convenient location- great access to food, restaurants, and skiing! Heated pool!
Review 10:The beds were not that comfortable (very stiff) and the rooms were not well insulated from noises coming for the hallway (we could hear people talking in the room next to us as well as footsteps from the people walking above us).
Review 11:The staff at the front desk was wonderfully nice and welcoming. The location of the hotel was ideal for travel to the ski resorts.
Review 12:Staff is very ubcurtious and harassed us multiple times during our stay for supposedly smoking even after we invited them into our room to show we were not.Not only that but we were also dissapointed in the ammenities offered for the price.
Review 13:Nothing!
Review 14:Great friendly staff. A little old facilities wise but we had expected that. Very quaint and quiet, perfect for staying the night before a ski day at key or a-bay.
Review 15:Beds were very very very uncomfortable. Hard difficulty time sleeping. Refrigerator ran to loud. Temperature control was poor. Walls to thin.
Review 16:Gave us good tips on where to eat.
Review 17:That I payed a pet deposit and brought my dog with me just because it was pet friendly and when I arrived I was informed pets were not allowed on the property at all and that because I booked my room online they would have to figure out how to refund me. It was snowing hard and cold and she made me leave my 1year old puppy in the car. The pool and hot tub are open from 3pm to 10pm. I Checked in at 10pm and check out is at 9am. So I didn't get to use the amenity's ipayed for. The complimentary breakfast consists of bread apples and coffee... Horriblr
Review 18:Nothing
Review 19:Bring your own coffee cup. The cups were tiny. I am not a carbs for breakfast kind of person, so it wasn't my favorite.
Review 20:The location was great--central to all of the places we wanted to go and see. The property owners were very helpful with directions. The price was extremely reasonable for the location and amenities.
Review 21:We had to make a stop on our way from Denver to Grand Junction. The staff were friendly and helpful and we had a ver relaxing stay. We chose to stay at the Dillon Inn on our return journey. Drive from hotel to Denver Airport took 90 minutes
Review 22:There was a funky smell in the lobby and in the morning, during breakfast hours, you could smell burnt toast in the room. Our room could use some updating and the bed was pretty hard and uncomfortable. We could hear the pipes banging when other rooms turned on their water, and the refrigerator in our room was very loud at night. We ended up unplugging it the second night so we could sleep. The front desk staff were not very friendly, but they weren't rude either.
Review 23:The location of the Dillon Inn was great; it was near restaurants, shopping, and very near Lake Dillon. The landscaping around the Inn was very nice. Also, the price couldn't be beat. We were only staying 2 nights, and it was fine for what we needed. The room seemed very clean.
Review 24:Rooms need major updating. Need to have a bit more than dry bread for breakfast.
Review 25:Hot tub was okay, but the view from it was nice. The outside of the hotel has a nice appearance.
Review 26:The refrigerator just never seemed to get cold in our room. The carpet smelled musty from years of use and of course dampness from years of occupants running in an out from the pool
Review 27:The staff and the beds. The location was great for our hiking and biking activities.
Review 28:We were on the way to Estes park and look for a place to spent the night, , the price for right for 4 adults , it's not a fancy place but clean and comfortable, the owner was very friendly and helpful. No
Review 29:When we got to the room the refrigerator started running and I went and got the employee who turned out to be the owner. He said unplug it if you were not using. I was using and he said all the rooms have the same refrigerators and he could not do anything. Later I reviewed the pictures of the rooms and that proved to be a lie.The beds were so hard we could hardly sleep. Breakfast was skimpy and the owners stood around it most of the time watching the food as if we might take too much. No tables to eat at. All places anymore have coffee pots in rooms but not this one so we were not able to make coffee and it was only free in the front during breakfast.
Review 30:Nothing...worst place I have stayed in years. Did not match the pictures.
Review 31:coffee/tea not available in rooms (or even in lobby outside of breakfast time) Rooms a bit dated
Review 32:Swimming pool brilliant for the kids. Amazing for this sized hotel/motel Also great kids play area Staff were really friendly Lovely views out over the mountains (in our room)
Review 33:It was quiet, and very comfortable. The owner was very respectful, and very kind. Everything was laid back and it was easy to relax and enjoy ourselves!
Review 34:No iron/board Advertised as Free breakfast. Only a continental and not really much to it, Bed not too comfortable but ok.
Review 35:Very friendly staff, very clean rooms and bathrooms. Great place to stay . Beautiful landscaping. Pool area is nice. We would stay there again.
Review 36:The room smelled really damp and moldy. I had a little trouble breathing and get that way with damp areas because of allergies.
Review 37:It was quiet and had nice staff.
Review 38:The power went out for about 1 hour. When I asked the manager what was the plan if the power did not return before dark, he responded "Go to bed earlier" No explanation, no update that the power company has been notified
Review 39:Had to walk to second floor room. Toiletry packs instead of bars/small bottles.
Review 40:Manager carried my heavier bag upstairs to/from our room. Manager waived the fee for an extra bed.
Review 41:The motel has an alpine feel and a fabulous mountain view, off the street so it is utterly quiet for sleeping at night, with the window wide open. There are lovely wildflowers and xeric plants surrounding the lawn. The proprietors are very kind and welcoming, and they obviously care about maintaining the hotel, keeping things tidy and well-looked-after. Internet, very fast.
Review 42:WiFi didn't connect at times and was extremely slow. "Breakfast" is basically pieces of bread, tang for "juice",apples, lipton tea.
Review 43:Quiet, clean, walking distance to some restaurants.
Review 44:breakfast sucked, no in room coffee, shower sucked
Review 45:room was OK, location is good but not a good view, has a nice sitting area outside and a nice play area for kids. close to stores restaurants.
Review 46:The breakfast is very simple with few choices.
Review 47:The room was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. The hotel is conveniently located for easy access to hiking and other outdoor activities.
Review 48:The bed and pillows are hard as rocks. Even my 10 year old complained. Bring your own pillow for sure.
Review 49:It was fine for the money. Nothing special though. Worked fine for my 10 yr old son and I while his little brother was at a weekend camp a half hour away. Close to frisco and water activities.
Review 50:Run down, dingy, subpar customer service (hard to find people at the front desk and never followed through with my request).
Review 51:Centrally located to groceries, outlet, coffee shop, and nice restaurant next door.
Review 52:Bed was uncomfortably firm. Refrigerator was loudly cycling every 15-20 minutes. I think I woke up every time it clicked on all night long. Overall I got next to no sleep and had a massive headache the next day. Breakfast was free, so I guess you get what you pay for.
Review 53:staff was friendly and my son enjoyed the pool
Review 54:Couldn't get on the internet, come to find out their server was down. They rebooted and everything was fine. Biggest disappointment was the continental breakfast. A choice of Danish or a previously frozen waffle, and not OJ but orange drink about sums it up.
Review 55:They let me check in several hours early. Several hundred channels available on TV, though no way to know what was one without flipping channels.
Review 56:They've got a pool and hot tub which is awesome. Cable is a nice feature as well. Breakfast is a very basic continental but gets the job done! Rooms are spacious enough. We've stayed here twice now and will most definitely go back.
Review 57:A clean & uncluttered place to stay at a very reasonable rate. Close to great ski destinations, ski rentals, healthy grocery stores and all manor of restaurants & shopping. We had a special situation come up and the family was very helpful.
Review 58:Bed and pillows very uncomfortable. None of the lights or microwave worked. Bed spread had lots of human hair on it. YUCK!!! Very foreign ethnic unpleasant odor from owners cooking mixed with some type of deodorized made for nauseating smell when you walk in.
Review 59:Convenient and beautiful location of Inn.Decent price.
Review 60:The decor is dated and there was some peeling wallpaper in our room. The continental breakfast (included) was pretty limited with options so we got breakfast at a nearby establishment.
Review 61:The staff were friendly, the room was clean, and the pool and hot tub area were nice to have to use in the evening with kids. Having a microwave and fridge in room was nice. It is easy to access off the highway, close to several ski resorts, and walking distance to restaurants.
Review 62:Although the staff was very friendly, there's usually no one at the front desk. They had hd tv's but not cable boxes, so the picture was really screwed up. We ended up buying an hdmi cable and hooking up my laptop to watch movies. Not a huge selection for the continental breakfast, hard for people with special dietary restrictions like diabetes.
Review 63:Loved that the hotel was centrally located between Keystone and Breckenridge. Many near by places to eat and shop. Friendly staff.
Review 64:The rooms need brighter light bulbs.
Review 65:The Dillon Inn is clean and comfortable. The room was similar to other properties in the area and price range, but overall it is in better shape. Even the beds were good.
Review 66:The hot tub jets were not working while we were there. The continental breakfast definitely got the job done but wasn't a particularly impressive spread. $150/night was stretching it, but was still the cheapest in the Dillon/Frisco/Silverthorne area.
Review 67:The Dillon Inn is in a good location and has a good price point (it was the cheapest around for that particular weekend, though was a little high in general). Checking in and out were very easy, and the room was clean. Wifi worked well. There is a fridge and microwave in the room and a free (though kind of sparse) continental breakfast.
Review 68:The hottub seemed like one of those temporary ones.
Review 69:The front desk guy was super nice and the continental breakfast was convenient. Its a fine no frills affordable motel.
Review 70:For the price of the room this hotel was good. The room was large enough and clean. The location was great for going to the ski areas in the area. Also close by were (within walking distance) were restaurants and shopping.
Review 71:Clean, adequete accomodations, close to everything, could book for a single night when most places wanted a two to three night stay, price was reasonable and the indoor pool/hot tob a bonus.
Review 72:The breakfast was progressively less and less each day (no bananas, bagels) 2nd day. I am unsure if there were just many guests and this is why the selection was sparce but patrons should not have to ask if there is more of the advertised free breakfast.
Review 73:Jacuzzi, location
Review 74:Bed was very hard and uncomfortable and mattress cover with plastic liner felt like a hospital bed - very sweaty!
Review 75:Great location - walking distance to several restaurants and bars. Hot tub stayed nice and hot!
Review 76:The front desk man and woman were very nice and helpful. They made it feel more like a bed and breakfast and less like a hotel! The continental breakfast in the morning was just enough to get the day going. The room had a large mini-fridge/freezer which was a bonus. We were able to go to the grocery store and make lunches before heading to the slopes where things are more pricey.
Review 77:Rooms quite noisy with plumbing and noise from upstairs, bathroom small. Air freshner smell in rooms.
Review 78:Hotel was clean and adequate for overnight stay. Had connecting room as requested. Had microwave in room and large fridge
Review 79:There wasn't any one at the hotel at night such as night staff. There were several loud guests running around the halls and being very loud in their room...I called down to the front desk around midnight and no one answered. Several other guests were telling folks to be quite but it didn't help. I'll be staying in a nationally recognized chain next time. Oh, and the mattress was really uncomfortable it was soft yet I still managed to feel every spring.
Review 80:The room was clean and the heater in the room allowed to manual adjustment.
Review 81:A bit dated, and limited continental breakfast. Limited # outlets for charging devices. No ski lockers, no elevator; carried skis to 2nd floor.
Review 82:Stayed for a week with my college age daughter. Great ski location within nice town of Dillon, just off I70. 4 minute walk to 2 nice restaurants-Red Mountain Grill and Dam Brewery. 2 queen size beds. Clean room with good housekeeping services, plenty of clean towels. Hot shower with good water pressure.
Review 83:The beds could be better. Stayed in a room with 2 doubles...the sides in between the two beds dipped from people sitting on the edge of the mattress. That's my only complaint.
Review 84:This location can't be beat. Walk to the Dam brewery. them. Loved the indoor pool (a little too cool for me but kids loved it) and hot tub (nice and hot!). Will stay here again!
Review 85:While not a three or four star hotel, the place is conveniently located, clean and nice for an overnight stay. Very nice to have two queen beds for a change since we have two older kids.
Review 86:The "breakfast" was not breakfast - it was a cereal or bagels with cream cheese with no place to sit except the front waiting area or your room.
Review 87:The staff was polite and friendly. The room was clean and comfortable. It was a good place to stop for a night.
Review 88:Not much of a breakfast offered, not to terrible thou. Breakfast and lobby area was small and felt cramped.
Review 89:Great view from the pool area. Clean all around, nice festive atmosphere, and smelt nice too.
Review 90:Front desk lady called and asked if I was smoking pot. Next she knocked on my door insisting she smelled it. I let her come into my room and then she appologized....
Review 91:Location good. Amenities good
Review 92:having to wait for 5 minutes for someone to come to the front desk to check us in.
Review 93:the location was great. We were in walking distance of plenty of restaurants and shopping.
Review 94:It doesn't have an area to eat the breakfast.
Review 95:We really like the facilities, the cleanliness of the room, the outside surrounding areas and the swimming pool facilities. Also the kind of the owners and the employees. The good value of money in a great location.
Review 96:Dillion Inn is located in the area where we usually spend time in the Dillion /Silverthorne area. Dining, shopping and our usual coffee shop are all convenient. The view from the lobby entrance is awesome. Especially our morning view which was the sun shinning on the colorful foliage on the mountain sides of the valley.
Review 97:The room was non-smoking but it smelled of old smoke. There was nowhere to sit for breakfast other than your room or a couch in the lobby.
Review 98:The room was clean and location convenient.
Review 99:No elevator to 2nd floor - make sure you don't need to take a lot of gear up the stairs!
Review 100:Owners were friendly and helpful. You could tell they take pride in the appearance of the hotel - clean, beautiful flowers out front. Great pool & hot tub. Great value.
Review 101:The staff at Dillon Inn were extremely friendly and the accommodations were very nice. You cannot beat the price or location when compared to the surrounding venues. I would highly recommend that you book your next trip out to the mountains at the Dillon Inn.
Review 102:beds of sheet rock & firmest pillows ever. husband used a bedspread rolled into a pillow to sleep on. the mini fridge roared every 2 hours. very meager breakfast with no protein. to much gluten did not work for Celica.
Review 103:good staff & clean rooms. nice TV. the air heater system work. good Coffee in the morning.
Review 104:Everything was fine.
Review 105:When we checked in, we were greeted by a young lady by the name of Renae and it was the nicest reception that we have ever received at any mote.
Review 106:room appointments are dated and kind of shabby, fairly spartan
Review 107:continental breakfast selections, convenient location, indoor pool and hot tub, non-smoking rooms
Review 108:I was feeling ill during my stay so spent a while in bed. TV was poor, only a few channels worked. Wifi issue on arrival corrected quickly and streamed programs instead on our tablet. Breakfast limited to coffee and bagels.
Review 109:Liked the neighbouring Dam Brewery.
Review 110:We found the Dillon in clean and with friendly staff. The continental breakfast leaves much to be desired: only hot food has to be toasted or zapped and there is virtually no seating.
Review 111:No breakfast room, nice continental breakfast bu nowhere to eat it, shame
Review 112:Near Breckenridge and Frisco, not far from Denver so good stop off. Lovely rooms and near some good eating and drinking places, notably Arapahoe cafe and Dam Brewery
Review 113:The room was very noisy as a result of a refrigerator that hummed all night. The telephone had no connecting wires, so it was of no use whatsoever. The small alarm clock also made noise throughout the night.
Review 114:The Dillon Inn was located in a very convenient place, as we were driving from Denver to Vail. The personnel at the Dillon were extremely pleasant and very helpful. The continental breakfast was fine.
Review 115:The first thing I noticed was the place was well taken care of. A big plus was it smelled clean and lacked any must or smoke odor. The pool and hot tub were an added bonus for a smaller facility. It's located close enough to shopping and the interstate. I would definitely stay again.
Review 116:My kids were VERY disappointed that the pool hours were only from 3pm-10pm. The whole reason we picked this hotel was the indoor pool and we didn't even get to use it.
Review 117:In the mountains. Good Value.
Review 118:Taking the stairs with luggage! No amenities...shampoo etc. Breakfast was fairly good , but no place to sit....
Review 119:We liked the beautiful flowers and ease of getting to all others areas near-by. It was clean and the managers/ owners? were so nice. The apples were so fresh and the raisen bread was a treat.
Review 120:you are on the beaten path, but that makes for a great base camp.
Review 121:Every thing within walking distance including restaurants, Brew pub, stores, Dillon lake. staff great, indoor pool awesome for kids.
Review 122:The "meal" that comes with room is less than adequate. Area was small and food choices were not appealing. But, this is NOT a reason to not stay here. Other choices for breakfast are near by.
Review 123:Room was very clean and comfortable. Location was excellent, and centrally located for outdoor activities. Hotel staff was friendly and very helpful. Allowed an early checkout for family emergency. Would stay here again.
Review 124:The continental breakfast was sparse with no place to sit, a grab & go setup.
Review 125:It was clean and nice, basic and without a lot of frills, but was well kept and the staff was friendly and helpful. Liked the mini frig and microwave in the room and the location with mountain views.
Review 126:When I checked out the owners were now taking care of things. They made me pay for an extra night. The problem was created by booking through you. There fore I paid for for the 1st night at the time of booking. Even thought I showed my receipt and the paper work showing I had already paid for the first night but they made me paid again for that night. However as noted before Renee who is wonderful understood the prepayment and had us pay for only 2 nights but when I checked out the owners, as Renee was off that day, made me pay again for the 3rd night. I will contact my credit card company and get it refunded.
Review 127:We enjoyed our stay and the owner's Daughter, Renee went out of her way to help us in any way she could. Based on her I would recommend the Dillon INN
Review 128:We received excellent service from the employee who waited on us. She even went out of her way to have breakfast available early for the bike riders doing the Copper Triangle ride. She was very friendly and we appreciated her service.
Review 129:Ok, building is dated. Yet this is a good value.
Review 130:Front desk staff Renee got up at 4:00 am so that those of us riding the Copper Triangle could get an early breakfast - that was very thoughtful and much appreciated.
Review 131:Unfortunately, the electricity went out in the early hours we were there. A very loud alarm sounded, which woke up all on the first floor. This prohibited the staff from making breakfast in time for our departure (not her fault at all), but still an issue for us.
Review 132:Location.
