Reviews for Cedarbrook Lodge

Review 1:My room was on the first floor. The room was easy to be seen by people who were warking around the hotel.

Review 2:The hotel was closed to the airport. The staff was very kind.

Review 3:Absolutely nothing. Everything was awesome

Review 4:Everyone on the staff was so nice! There was free ice cream and snacks in the lobby and a great hot tub. Inside the room, the bathroom and room were very clean.

Review 5:Dinner was good but a bit pricey, especially the wine selection, and some food came to the table luke warm. Also parked off site because we didn't want to pay Cedarbrook rates for two weeks

Review 6:Love the ambiance and staff were great. We got a special room rate.

Review 7:No frig/honor bar. When I'm ready for bed, I don't like having to get dressed and traipse down the hall to pick up a bottle of water. Uncomfortable pillows. Duvet like sleeping under a tarp. Claustrophobic room setup. Restaurant not up to high expectations.

Review 8:Lovely location. Friendly staff.

Review 9:The ambiance. All the beautiful wood and windows, the lights on the trees. The quiet in such a busy neighborhood. The convenience. Close to family/airport.

Review 10:Parking fee

Review 11:Staff is wonderful, very close to the airport but doesn't feel like it. We loved the "living room" area with water and snacks, free breakfast, gym and jacuzzi! We had a corner suite and it was lovely...a perfect "home" base for our weekend. We will stay again when visiting the area.

Review 12:The scrambled eggs weren't delicious.

Review 13:The staff was terrific. Everyone was so helpful. They went out of their way to help us. LOVED the huge tub!! Breakfast was very good.

Review 14:The snack options in the family area are processed/packaged foods (except the fruit). And I would rather have a filtered water fountain where I can refill my travel/every day water bottle than bottled water. (I think bottled water is not environmentally friendly). And I cannot drink tap water in Seattle because the chemicals give me Tinitus.

Review 15:I felt pampered and relaxed. I loved the massage I got at the spa and the wonderful meal at the restaurant. Also when my husband needed care (he got ill during our stay), I felt fully supported by the staff when I asked for help.

Review 16:View from room was parking lot and trash bins Scrambled Eggs on buffet were like jello...not worth eating

Review 17:Rooms and grounds were impeccable. Staff extremely friendly 99% of the breakfast was delicious

Review 18:No bad experience. Rate was more than I would of liked to pay for a one night stay.

Review 19:Desk staff were more than accommodating and helpful. Snacks on floor were a nice plus.

Review 20:The hotel did not have our booking on their system. 4 of the reception staff spent a long time (at least 10 minutes) searching for it when we checked in without reassuring us that there was a room for us and that we could have it at the reserved price.

Review 21:The very comfortable room and the style of the accommodation as a whole. The beautiful grounds and good fitness facilities including a hot tub. The complimentary and good quality breakfast. Some of the staff were excellent.

Review 22:A little too far out from Seattle, I would not have stayed there if we did not have a car The Place is too big, I would prefer something smaller that doesn't hold conferences, it got a little noisy

Review 23:It's very private

Review 24:Love the location, near airport, but you'd ever know it. Great spa, restaurant and bar. This visit I did not get to enjoy the breakfast because of travel schedule but have Ben impressed with breakfast in the past.

Review 25:Guest service at the front desk. They made it too difficuilt and slow when checking in and checking out due to cash deposit. They are not familiar with the cash deposit procedures

Review 26:Comfortable, SPA, landscape, and free snacks

Review 27:Not a lot of restaurants nearby. Carpets and chemical scents should be evaluated. Did not present a clean fresh sense upon arrival.

Review 28:Staff very helpful. Breakfast was very good- a real bonus. Proximity to airport was excellent and shuttle service provided by hotel a real plus. Rooms are comfortable.

Review 29:Typically Cedarbrook provides snacks like chips, ice cream, fruit and yogurt at mini-lounges scattered throughout the property, but this time all of the lounges were totally wiped clean of snacks. Maybe they are stopping that perk??

Review 30:comfortable and quiet surroundings close to SeaTac airport.

Review 31:Quiet, comfy and nice though close to airport. Free shuttle to and from airport works excellent and fast. Staff extremely professional, friendly and helpful. Excellent restaurant.

Review 32:Rooms dim and dingy... not enough light. Restaurant overpriced and quality of food not of the calibre expected for the price band. You'll get a better room for a better price at Hampton Inn & Suites down the road.

Review 33:Good location, nice grounds, pleasant staff.

Review 34:Price is expensive during high demand season.

Review 35:Food was superb. Pricey, but happy hour prices are a bargain for what you get. Childs menu has comfort and variety and is well worth the cost. We enjoyed the living areas with friends while we stayed there as well.

Review 36:Seriously, the only "wrong" thing was two small cracks in the seal between the bath tub and the wall. That's it.

Review 37:I'd only stayed once before at the Cedarbrook Lodge, but the shuttle driver and another valet remembered me at first sight. The grounds are beautiful. The cocktails are inventive and delectable. The food is heaven and breakfast!!! Amazing!!! The beds a clouds to sleep in and the toiletries make me want to steal as many as possible

Review 38:We had an early flight and wanted to leave on the shuttle at 6AM. The shuttle was full. If you advertise free 24 hr shuttle service and know the shuttle is full, they should figure out another way. We took a taxi for $10 for the 1.5 miles trip to the airport.

Review 39:Beautiful setting in the midst of airport district, very quiet.

Review 40:When we arrived we were told that the king room that we had reserved had problems so we were given a much smaller room sleeping den.

Review 41:They were apologetic and did not charge us for the stay. The shuttle service to the airport was great and the breakfast was wonderful

Review 42:We liked everything, it is very quiet, not far from airport but also easy to go to Seattle. Staff was very friendly and tried to fulfil all our wishes, successfully.

Review 43:Nothing at all! Everything was spectacular!

Review 44:I was there less than 12 hours, but I loved it! Seattle was my stopping point on a flight from Hawaii to Orlando, so I had to hop on a plane early the next morning! I loved it so much, I want to travel to Seattle for a little getaway and make Cedarbrook my home while I'm there!

Review 45:Our room was not ready until 6:45 pm. We were tired after a long day of traveling and were looking forward to the opportunity to relax a bit before dinner and before embarking on our trip home the next day. The manager repeatedly apologized, saying they were short staffed. He gave us a $25 coupon for the bar. It was still quite frustrating it took so long to get our room ready. We really just wanted the afternoon to chill out in our room.

Review 46:The facility itself, once we got checked in, was lovely.

Review 47:It looks like the morning buffet changed to powdered eggs -- due I'm sure to the egg shortage. This doesn't work ... Nor did the slightly runny version of scrambled eggs before. The one small item that isn't quite right doesn't deter us from coming back.

Review 48:After a long travel day it's a comfort knowing a quiet room with a great bed and a chair for reading are at the other end. The snacks and water are a boon and we use the lounge area and browse through the books.

Review 49:Because we arrived late (8:30 pm) we ate in the bar area. I wish the menu had included lighter items such as salads and sandwiches. Our meals were tasty and we enjoyed them.

Review 50:Excellent room and bath. Gathering areas in each building were great. We met other travelers and shared experiences. Complimentary breakfast was excellent. Close to Seatac Airport with free shuttle.

Review 51:Minor complaint - the mattresses are too soft .

Review 52:We loved the living areas with comfortable sofas , fridges and goodies !!! The gardens were delightful . The receptionist was really welcoming - as were all the staff .

Review 53:The grounds of the Lodge were impeccably maintained! The entire place was beautiful and inviting. The food was amazing and the staff was very courteous and helpful. Our room was lovely and the bed was very comfortable.

Review 54:The one and only thing I have a negative comment about was when I walked my elderly Mom down to the lobby to catch the 5:30am shuttle to the airport, the guy at the front desk was...I guess I'll say "grouchy"....and kind of rude to my Mom.

Review 55:This place is like an oasis inside the SeaTac area. I've been to this area hundreds of times and you would never know Cedarbrook is there, so imagine my surprise whenI finally booked there and showed up. It's beautiful! And it's right next to the airport.

Review 56:This is such a great hotel. The property feels so peaceful it is hard to believe it is next to the airport. The beds are comfortable, the breakfast is great , the living rooms are a nice touch, restaurant delicious and the spa just completes the experience .

Review 57:The Wifi was marginal in our room but our room was at the very end of the property which may account for the poor signal.

Review 58:My wife loved the spa service. Staff was professional and very responsive.

Review 59:The one hour wait for transfer bus from the airport, not a lot of fun after travelling for 13 hours!!!

Review 60:The welcome and staff positive and proactive attitude

Review 61:There really isn"t anything that I didn"t like.

Review 62:I was very surprised that this hotel was so close to the airport yet has the feel of a mountain lodge. What an incredible experiance.

Review 63:Nothing

Review 64:Cedarbrook is a great choice for a stay near SeaTac. The rooms a well appointed and quiet. The new annex has large showers without tubs, which is my preference. The restaurant is on par with the better restaurants downtown

Review 65:The breakfast was a beautiful setting but the scrambled eggs were not desirable with the colour and texture. Could have done a quiche or frittata. Some fresh fruit would have been nice. The salmon was tasty but sat out in kitchen getting too dry on top.

Review 66:The staff were outstanding and the music calm along with the fabulous surroundings. Very relaxing for our hectic schedule. Loved the towels and bedding and actually went online to find where to purchase. Wish we did not prepay our stay in downtown Seattle as I would have cancelled and stayed here. The snack station was a fabulous idea especially with us coming in so late.

Review 67:Please add gourmet puppy treats to the gift shop!

Review 68:Quiet woodsy acreage sequestered off a mid-century neighborhood, just 10 min. from SeaTac, Cedarbrook offers 5-star amenities, spa, complimentary shuttle service and a gourmet "Puppy Pantry" as well as human menu. Their week night Happy Hour is a local favorite.

Review 69:Would like the breakfast time period to be stretched out till at least 10 am.

Review 70:Love the setting of the location, very tranquil. Love the airport pick up. Slept like a log...so comfortable. Snack available at anytime with out having to call some one...especially the Haagen Daaz ice cream.

Review 71:Parking wasn't near our room. It was a perfectly nice place, but I didn't check excellent because it was pricey and the rooms were not over-the-top fantastic. Nice, comfortable, but except for the dining experience, not the best we've ever had. Still if I had to choose an airport hotel, I'd choose this one over and over.

Review 72:The staff was very helpful with reservations. We were there over New Years Eve, but hadn't signed up for the dinner. They were kind enough to put in a table to accommodate us and others which was very appreciated.

Review 73:I think it is strange to advertise a 24 hour shuttle and then when we arrived at the airport and called the hotel, they said the shuttle stopped at 10 pm (we called them at 10 min. past 10). We had to wait half an hour for a taxi. That is not very fun to do with a very tired 2 year old that has been travelling for 10 hours.

Review 74:The beds were very comfortable, it was overall a nice, peaceful hotel.

Review 75:Elegant northwest ambiance - wood timber framing, expansive glass and large fireplaces. The grounds are pristine and the service beyond excellent. I felt like royalty !

Review 76:No exhaust fan in bath. Voices really carry in restaurant and bar.

Review 77:Nice big comfy room with view. Good food. Common rooms with free snacks instead of expensive mini-bar.

Review 78:far from town, could do with a larger range of meals at the restaurant....

Review 79:Great beds, good snacks on hand, friendly and helpful staff, great view, relaxing,

Review 80:Hotel was under construction was not made aware of that when we booked. Staff not very knowledgable with directions. Waited in airport parking lot at night for 55min for shuttle had to call hotel twice.

Review 81:Living room area that was stocked with snacks. Grounds very pretty!

Review 82:Bathrooms and overall room decor needs updating, Significant construction is going on at this property causing minor inconvenience and some noise. No spa, pool or hot tub.

Review 83:This is an excellent option for an airport stay near Seatle. The restaurant is its best feature although you need to make reservations well I advance of arrival if you want your dining choice. The rooms are fine but need updating and the value/cost wasn't there if you can't make use of the restaurant. Free snacks in the lounge but no fridge or minibar in the room.

Review 84:Can't think of a thing!

Review 85:The grounds were beautiful. The staff great, opened doors for us several times. Easy checkin and out. And the food was wonderful.i loved the living rooms in various areas with fresh fruit and water. I wish everywhere we stayed was like this!

Review 86:I did not enjoy the constant sound of airplanes taking off and landing at the nearby SeaTac Airport especially as it is supposed to be a relaxing spa-like hotel. We also did not enjoy the constant heavy thumping of footsteps overhead from the 3rd floor suite above us. Earplugs would be needed for sleep here. I wish the architects who design such rooms would spend a night trying to sleep in them. One surprise was that a simple shower cap was not provided for the bathroom shower.

Review 87:The setting in itself was stunning; there were so many trees on the property that visually you could not tell you were in the middle of a large city almost adjacent to a major busy airport. The meals and service were superb!!!!!!

Review 88:We ordered room service and the food was very bad and I mean bad. I can eat most anything, but it was unappealing, but I would still stay at this hotel again!

Review 89:This place is out in nowhere, but is amazing. I would definitely stay there again. Rooms are very comfortable. The staff are some of the nicest people I have encountered and VERY helpful.

Review 90:Shower liner floats up.

Review 91:Snacks and fruit available after hours.

Review 92:Friendly helpful staff, beautiful property, award winning restaurant

Review 93:Felt like home

Review 94:Very relaxing environment ...LOVED the hot tub :-)

Review 95:breakfast was late, making us late for the remainder of the day...

Review 96:everything else,

Review 97:The Lodge is beautiful and peaceful.

Review 98:Staff was accommodating and very friendly. Loved being able to communicate my needs via text. Room was comfy and smelled amazing.

Review 99:Great check in, great room, great breakfast, very efficient and friendly staff.

Review 100:Feeling like you were away from civilization but actually very close. Grounds were lovely.

Review 101:The facility was a little impersonal.

Review 102:Everything was easy and comfortable. Very close to the airport for easy access.

Review 103:Pillows too firm

Review 104:Food, near airport, wetlands, staff

Review 105:Place was amazing! The staff, food, everything was great!

Review 106:Poor service in restaurant

Review 107:Location to airport and grounds

Review 108:All wasgreat!

Review 109:Great service and location! They were very helpfull. Hotel is quiet and close to the airport. You Feel like country side. Great!

Review 111:Place is a wonderful oasis of calm and comfort at Sea-Tac airport

Review 112:Very comfortable hotel with good facilities at a stone's throw from the airport

Review 113:Quality of all staff

Review 114:Everything

Review 115:Great location. Close to airport but quiet, nice grounds, great breakfast buffet

Review 116:Unique property near the airport in a beautiful campus setting. Great menu featuring northwest products. Wonderful surprise!

Review 117:The friendly staff and the wonderful bed

Review 118:Nothing!!!

Review 119:Everything! Excellent staff, fabulous breakfast, comfortable room. Bed and pillows the best I've had in ant hotel room

Review 120:Service weak due to a large group staying at property

Review 121:Beautiful grounds

Review 122:We loved the comfortable bed, the "living rooms" with snacks, the breakfast , delicious restaurant and relaxing spa.

Review 123:Hotel manager helped us.

Review 124:Beautiful setting near the airport
