Reviews for Red Roof Inn Seattle Airport - SEATAC
Review 1:Nothing.
Review 2:I have stayed here many times and they are the best. Hotel and location!! I will always stay here.. The one point I make to friends and family about staying there is that we feel safe!
Review 3:The location was great for going to the Museum of Flight and was also close to some diners. The rooms were pet friendly and there was no additional fee for my dog! The price was also AMAZING!
Review 4:Shuttle to the airport. On arrival, I was almost an hour waiting the shuttle, I called twice but apparently they normally don't care if you are freezing waiting at the airport to be picked up.
Review 5:Location, you can even walk to the airport. Walking distance to Link rail or buses to all Seattle area. Staff is nice. Property is old but well maintained, there was some renovation on recent years.
Review 6:I liked that the shuttle picked us up at thd airport when we arrived and took us back at the end of our visit, That is always a bonus for us.Very comfortable beds and clean.
Review 7:I don't mind "not new", smokey smell, dirty carpets, awful "breakfast". Heavy perfume tried to cover smoke smell.
Review 8:We wanted to sleep. We slept. Origianal "no smoking room" made us gag and we were given another room and anything we wanted from the snack bar.
Review 9:Staff was very rude!!!!! Hotel wasn't what I expected at all, motel6 is nicer than this place I wouldnt recommend anyone to stay here, then on top of it they wanna charge for parking as if there some highclass hotel when its a complete dive that I wouldnt even give a 1 *Starhotel rating this place is worse then a motel 6 and the front deskstaff are absolutely rude and disrespectful, they have no customerservice skills at all and are very unprofessional one of the ladies atthe front desk was very ghetto acting bobbing her head and waving herfinger around in the air acting as if we was in Compton, California. Ihighly recommend that u stay far away from this motel, two blocks downat the motel 6 you will get by far more Professional, Respectful, andGenuine Customer Service. Along with a more up to date room that iscomfortable and cleaner
Review 10:Nothing to like......
Review 11:Paying extra for parking. Guests shouldn't have to do this if staying. Each room needs a microwave and fridge. Maid knocked on door before checkout. Not cool!
Review 12:The beds! So comfortable! Room was clean and spacious.
Review 13:Very noisy, no soundproofing. You hear a roaring all day and night. Scary people walking around in the area. You pay extra for parking.
Review 14:Staff was nice. Very close to airport
Review 15:The evening clerk, Alle, was delightfully alert, prompt, well-informed, and cheerful. The van driver was efficient and effective. They made an ordinary property into something special.
Review 16:I didn't like the parking fee added without knowing about the prices and being billed for a second night after returning the car a day early.
Review 17:Close proximity to airport.
Review 18:The only real criticism we have is noise transfer between rooms - would recommend asking for a room on the 3rd floor. The person above us was up at 2am and it sounded like they were running a marathon in the room.
Review 19:Location is great with a short walk to the light rail station and close to the airport. Beds were comfortable and the unit was clean.
Review 20:I didnt like the fact that you had to pay for packing on their property all the other horels in the area do not charge for parking.even the un down one do not charge for parking and the fact that the did not have breakfast. I did not like that
Review 21:Clean room, very comfortable bed with lots of pillows! Very courteous, helpful and kind desk clerks. It was very quiet considering it was right next to the airport. Shuttle service was on time with frequent departures from the hotel to the airport. I will definitely use this hotel again the next time I need to fly from Seattle.
Review 22:Staff was on phone for a long time before helping me. Walls and floors are very thin. So neighboring expressing their love for each other making too much noise kept me up all night.
Review 23:Very close to airport.
Review 24:No water bottles in room, fridge, and microwave. Poor selection of channels on television. Nothing to watch at all. No breakfast!!!!
Review 25:The room was good and the beds were comfortable. Had a good heater.
Review 26:Needed to use the printer, it wouldn't recognize my credit card so I couldn't use it. The staff wasn't able to resolve the situation so I could do my printing. Called my credit card company they said they hadn't denied any charges. Unnecessary frustration for a foreign traveller. The staff couldn't just let me pay cash to make copies. Also no restaurants nearby.
Review 27:Excellent location near the airport. Clean. Great choice for me.
Review 28:They promised I could store my luggage for 2 days if I stayed at the start and the end of the stay. When I arrived they said they would not and I then had to book a different hotel and they did not help or care
Review 29:Price for room but they charge 10.00 for a car and other 3 stars do not
Review 30:I always look for a place with a shuttle to get to and from the airport. A little slow picking us uo from the airport but left right on time the next day to catch our next flight.
Review 31:You could hear the other gusets and staff in the hallway. But fortunately everyone was our to us enough to not make a bunch of noise. I could see rowdy guests being a problem.
Review 32:Staff was very friendly and helpfull.
Review 33:I made the booking via booking.com, arrived at the hotel and they had no record of the booking, due to the hotel being almost fully booked, I had to pay for the only room unoccupied which was a suite and cost a lot more.
Review 34:Proximity to Seatrac
Review 35:Pay to park in their own lot even though you are already paying for a room too. Also, though you pay cash for room, the credit card you use to secure your room still retains the charges on your credit card for several days afterward. Bathroom had few amenities and awkward/no counter to place items by sink to get ready - very inconvenient design. Overall I would not choose this facility again unless there was nothing else available that allowed pets.
Review 36:Pets allowed. Dog waste bags available in the dog walk area. Handicap shower was helpful to have a bench. Heating and cooling in room was convenient and not too close to the bed. Clean room.
Review 37:My request went ignored and the fire alarm went off while we were sleeping. We were traveling for over 24 hours and didn't get in until around 3am them the fire alarm went off Before 9am causing use to jump up and run out onto the cold.
Review 38:Came during seahawk game , hard to enjoy if neighbors arent sports fans or travelers trying to sleep,, u fair front desk calls about us cheering on team! Cmon people allow a lil liesure , anyone wanting utter quiet can call if u clap ur hands at 5pm??? And say its too loud? Gimme a break
Review 39:Nice rooms!!
Review 40:The staff were so friendly and helpful and contacted the shuttle to the port for us. We had no trouble getting the free shuttle to pick us up from the airport. Everything was very clean. Denny's close by for easy food. Great place to stay.
Review 41:Location. Not much for eating establishments in area.
Review 42:The shuttle service, the bed, water pressure with shower. HD TV channels. Comfortable chair in room. Located near airport.
Review 43:The third floor and the covered parking. The front desk person was so nice and had a great smile. She told me about a place to eat and got me an extra blanket too.
Review 44:The price was a bit high for the level of hotel it is. No breakfast either,
Review 45:Location so close to airport shuttle to and from airport We had an issue with cabs the one morning and the staff were very helpful in sorting it out which was appreciative.
Review 46:The air conditioning had a weird smell and it gave me a headache, literally. I had to turn it off.
Review 47:Close to the airport. The room had everything you need and it was quite big.
Review 48:Vending machines that don't accept cash.
Review 49:Service was professional and very friendly. Great shuttle bus service. Large bed. We managed to get our room almost 2 hours early.
Review 50:Location is so so-good only if you have an early flight out. Evening walk is not something I'd recommend. No restaurant or bar on premises.
Review 51:Big room, huuuge bed.
Review 52:Beware of hidden fees! $10/day parking fee, $1.50 "safe fee", plus heavy taxes. This will increase your costs to the point where it might be better to just get a nicer motel in the first place. Also, the desk staff was not very friendly and the motel is in a pretty "seedy" area.
Review 53:Beds were comfortable. The room was "Spartan", but acceptable for an overnight stay.
Review 54:When we arrived. The front desk person was talking on the phone and not anwering our queshtions. Poor customer service
Review 55:Clean, comfortable room. We spent one night was what we needed.
Review 56:Spacious room, comfortable beds, roomy bathroom, staff very friendly and accommodating. No restaurant or breakfast room but these can be found in walking distance. Convenient covered parking for a fee.
Review 57:Easy to get to/from. Staff was wonderful. Hotel clean and bright. Wouldn't plan a vacation here, but can't think of anything better for a night before/after a flight.
Review 58:No breakfast coffe only with powdered cream We brought our own tea the choice was Lipton or nothing
Review 59:We asked for room away from elevator, it was quiet and spacious we wanted to stay second night but our room not available however a Queen room was . We were able to transfer our luggage early AM no hassle of interest the booking rate for a new booking was $12 per night cheaper than the rate the hotel was going to give us.
Review 60:A little pricey for quality More like a motel 6 but comfortable and essentially quiet.
Review 61:Overall good location to airport. It was clean but compared to price would expect a little more in quality .
Review 62:We were told we could leave our car for the week-end for $10 a night. But had to make other arrangement until Oct. 2nd.
Review 63:The staff were very helpful. The bed was great. Housekeeper had everything in tip top shape.
Review 64:A/C off, sounded like it was breathing. Traffic noise. Bed made a sound like a wounded animal when moving around. Broken hair dryer. Near elevator, so noisy. Somewhere a door kept banging shut and it went on all night. Stayed here before, has gone downhill since then.
Review 65:That it was close to the airport
Review 66:the booking.com site said i room would be ready at 1:00 around 2:30 we had to ask again about the room and it still wasn't done. We had two rooms and the other was ready.
Review 67:price, location and room was comfortable and clean
Review 68:Wifi is still a bit spotty stayed last year and couldn't hold a signal. This year was about the same don't know if it's being on the top floor but wifi still cut off on occasions.
Review 69:Like the location of the hotel close to the airport and light rail station.
Review 70:The property was run down and dingy. For the price, we expected a cleaner experience. It was adequate for our needs but won't stay again.
Review 71:The shuttle and staff service was excellent. This was important as we flew into SeaTac late then had to get an early flight.
Review 72:Nothing to complain about.
Review 73:Very close to the airport. Good Shuttle to the airport, takes 5 minutes. Nice, clean room with all you need for a very reasonable price. Very pleasant surprise being the first time at Red Roof Inn.
Review 74:The location was perfect for an early morning flight. Dropped off my rental car the night before and had a 15 minute walk back to hotel. The room was comfortable and clean - as advertised. The shuttle was prompt and efficient.
Review 75:I needed 5 solid hours of sleep had to work all night, until I heard a large dog next to my room, he barked every time someone walked by. Nice hotel but will never stay again.
Review 76:Cleanliness, Staff
Review 77:The hall, elevator and stairs looked ugly with worn carpet and walls, giving a first bad impression.
Review 78:The room was quiet and comfortable. We slept well there. It was convenient for airport travel.
Review 79:We reserved room for 3 and only had 2 coffee packets and 2 cups for the coffee. Went downstairs hoping for better coffee but not.. it was the same powder creamer. Also No Continental Breakfast. We flew in for a cruise and being a group of 8 had to rely on the shuttle service, Red Roof didn't have a service for driving you to shop or eat so we had to hire a car and it was expensive.
Review 80:The elevator was fast didn't have to wait like alot of hotels. The location was great and they had friendly shuttle service to and from the airport.
Review 81:Tried computer in lobby to download/print boarding passes. They had an EZBoard button, but it wasn't easy, and never got me to where I needed to download boarding pass. Front desk personnel did not know either. Alternatively, I could have gone to my airline's website, but they charge you to use the internet... ???
Review 82:24-7 hotel shuttle from airport. Comfortable, clean hotel. Seems better quality as you go up a floor. Our first night on third floor, the room seemed nicer. We returned a few nights later to first floor room, not as nice, but doable.
Review 83:The room air is very much not fresh. Opening a window is not an option because the air outside is tether polluted and much noise. The advertisement on the room card said family pizza meal for $22. But we were charged $44. The pizza place refused to respect the advertisement. We ordered it anyhow but we were not too satisfied. The lady at the reception did not mind it at all when I told her about this.
Review 84:Proximity to car rental area. All we wanted is to get our rented car, eat dinner at the room and go to sleep. As said, proximity to rental cars areaisexcellent. Dinner was so so (see don't like) and sleep was ok.
Review 85:Bath tubs mat was coming unglued posing a trip hazard for my 87 year oldAunt. My pillowcase had makeup on it from previous guest. Verydisappointed...
Review 86:Close to airport & had a shuttle.
Review 87:Not so happy about the parking charge , but the location of the hotel and local parking availability probably warrant this extra charge.
Review 88:Able to check in before the official check in time and was greeted in a friendly manner
Review 89:the rooms are overprized, because there are NO facilities. No breakfast included. There is nothing in the neighbourhood.
Review 90:Ligging vlak bij AirPort. Free wifi that worked Well
Review 91:I did not have a problem, everyone was very professional. room was comfortable. We had to go off site for dinner. Doesn't seem like much unless you have a problem walking.
Review 92:Friendly faces, nice shuttle driver. Good job
Review 93:Older run down building with minimal facilities. Expensive for what you get, on top of which you have to pay $10 for parking!
Review 94:Only good thing is being so close to th airport, as our friends were flying out of Seatac.
Review 95:Room had a musty sort of smell that went away when we turned on the A/C.
Review 96:The staff was very helpful. The hotel is what it is. Wouldn't stay here if you're spending time in Seattle, but if you want to be able to get to the airport quickly, this is a good place to do so cheaply.
Review 97:Red Roof are great, but this is an airport hotel. The staff and hotel sincerely do not cater for the international traveler. Airport hotels mostly cater for those arriving at 2AM allowing them a 3-4PM check out without charging two day rates for less than a 24hr stay.
Review 98:Simply amazing airport location, but my score does not reflect on my satisfaction. Another airport hotel that does not cater for the international traveler.
Review 99:The beds were not very comfortable, it was a non smoking facility but we had a burn hole in the bed spread. Also the bath towels were small and they only put 2 bath towels in the room.
Review 100:The front desk staff was very nice and checked us in fast.
Review 101:The bed was covered in hair and the sheets were DIRTY! Staff laughed when we asked of the had a continental breakfast. Horrible place!
Review 102:Liked absolutely nothing about this place.
Review 103:I had four in my party and there was barely any towels etc. soap or shampoos, extra blankets. We got a crib and whatever it was cleaned with totally broke out my daughter.
Review 104:Great location by airport, free shuttle bus will come pick you up! Room is large, clean and tidy! With coffee machine and hair dryer. Bed is so comfortable!
Review 105:We just spent one night to visit Seattle before heading back in the evening. The rooms were clean and spacious. The hotel is located close to the airport, but also to public transportation and it was easy to get downtown. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We could even store our luggage.
Review 106:The secondary elevator entrance smelled like bug spray, and the carpet in the elevator needed vacuuming badly. Its not a bad hotel, but for the price, I think I expected better. The bed made me itchy. The only interaction we had with employees was the front desk clerk, and in my opinion, wasn't bad or rude, just wasn't friendly and welcoming. Staying here met our need for a place to stay overnight between flights and thats about it. We'll try the place next door next time.
Review 107:The location was the best thing about this hotel.
Review 108:No fridge, kettle in the room. I would prefer quilt cover instead of sheet and blanket. I guess that in time all hotels will understand the superiority of quilt covers over sheet/blanket. It is more hygienic and comfortable for the guest.
Review 109:Red Roof Hotel is conveniently located close to International Airport plus offers frequent shuttle bus (only few minutes drive) The room was clean and spacious, bed comfortable. Efficient check-in and out.
Review 110:The staff could use some training in customer service. I asked for latecheck out like every other hotel I have ever stayed out has since myflight from Seattle to Boston didn't leave till 11:05pm and was toldno. I even asked if I could pay for another night and at first I wastold yes then I was told I'd have to move rooms and pay a higherrate. I said no thank you and asked for a 9:30 wake up call and the wakeup call happened at 5:00am. I was not very happy about this. So theoverall experience was not good at all.
Review 111:The bed was comfortable
Review 112:would not let my relatives in the room before I got there. I had this confirmed a head of time- they flew and I drove was also not told I had to pay for parking. not happy with company polices. staff was great.
Review 113:close to train
Review 114:Only one garbage can for entire room, none in bathroom... Please invest in more than one small can. Could hear people walking in room above, but it was not bad.
Review 115:It was clean and comfortable. Staff was very helpful and accommodating.
Review 116:Rooms were a bit noisy and the balcony "view" of the gas station was pointless
Review 117:Big comfortable king size bed. Location close to airport and just a few easy blocks away from link station to get downtown.
Review 118:The con about this hotel is the wifi. It kept dropping every time I tried to connect on the internet.
Review 119:I liked the comfort of the King size bed and how the room didn't have a cigarette smell.
Review 120:I have decided not to stay here anymore I know that other properties are starting to charge For parking but was very disappointed to see that redroof has jumped into the money grab of Seattle by charging now!! Why should I pay to give you my business?? This has been a big downer for me.
Review 121:I liked that the hotel is close to the airport and offers a shuttle.. the property is clean a little outdated but fine..
Review 122:I was quoted a price on booking.com and was charged $19 more. I was not told that there was a charge to park there prior to my stay. With that in mind in mind I may have chosen another hotel.
Review 123:The exercise room. Even though it was quite small.
Review 124:There where a few party revellers staying there. Ok it was a Saturday
Review 125:The staff, they where helpful. Didn't have a flight until evening & had tickets to Baseball. They gave use some great things to see & do. Had a much better time in Seattle then LA
Review 126:I didn't care for the shampoo/conditioner combo and found our afterwards that I could have asked for lotion at the front desk. Breakfast would have been a big plus.
Review 127:The location was perfect for a late arrival and early departure from SEATAC. The shuttle was also great and convenient. I loved the travel size kleenex pack as an amenity in the room. Amazingly there was no airport noise!
Review 128:It was terribly loud. From the elevator to the thin walls to the noisy people, it would've been more comfortable sleeping in my car.
Review 129:The location was within walking distance of the light rail which was great. The price was reasonable.
Review 130:We were in the room for less than ten hours. It was strictly a convenient place to sleep after a long flight. It was unfortunately rather noisy. The people above us were apparently pacing the floor at 3 a.m. and voices carried through the door.
Review 131:Clean. Comfortable beds.
Review 132:The hotel by the pics were total night and day. Everything was run down for the price. It was clean, but run down really bad. From the elevator buttons not working to the, old décor all over. My Family and I have stayed at Red Roof before, over all need to remodel if paying that price.
Review 133:Staff was Good, got everything we needed even if things had not been replaced, such as towels were not replaced, after cleaning.
Review 134:Would have been nice to have continental breakfast. Slightly noisy.
Review 135:Great location close to airport & light rail. Nice staff & free airport shuttle. Very good budget hotel.
