Review 1：It was very cold in the room during night. We reserved a room for 4+2 but it seems it was just for 4, so 2 of the guests had to sleep on the couch. This was not clear on booking. They did not prepare the room for 4 by default. We had to ask.The breakfast was poor. They did not refill and there wasn't too much of a choice.

Review 4：I hate the degrees of noise,tbere are various types of noises trying to conquer and destroy the brain but no music,and the soun proof of the hotel does not exist.

Review 5：the apartment was nice large ,but a kichinette woūld have been adequate.It was far from the beach,the hotel, beach was small and improperly taken care of.A lot of inadequate little pubs on the beach whoich restricted the area of the beach and gave the impression of negligence.Super loud music all day and all night long ,coming from varios restaurants and other improvised locations.The seaside deteriorated since 8years ago when I spent a vacation there.The sound of the waves,the seagulls with their fiercing cry in the night of a red moon..well,are worthy to be seen in Bulgaria,Greece,etc.

Review 6：Bathroom: the shower not properly clean for a long time, looks like a 2 star best case. Elevator extremely slow and small. Breakfast : embarrassing for a 4 star hotel. Exception was coffee, really good. Restaurant Service: waitress totally unhappy, slow, long faces, not at all at customer service. Bar service : sooo slow, took forever to get an ice coffee. Never ever again go to Mamaia South!! Mamaia north totally different story!

Review 9：Poor and monotonous breakfast, high priced restaurant, poor public transport connections to Constanta downtown or central Mamaia, where the best restaurants and places to see are located. Missing mosquito net from the door. The private beach (free for hotel guests) is very unclean and very poorly maintained by the hotel (which directly charges non-hotel guests and indirectly charges its guests as part of the room price). The local authorities lack interest in updating and cleaning the Mamaia resort.

Review 11：Hotel's beach was not friendly and the swimming pools close early. And there were some small things that could have been better dealt with: broken gym equipment, balcony was not properly cleaned, toilet bowl wasn't working properly and couldn't be fixed.

Review 13：The front desk receptionist was horrible when we arrived. Weimmediately walked in on an irritated young lady, who snapped at us onany occasion possible. She decided to give us a room (we suspect thaton purpose) that had clearly just been vacated, with pizza boxeslittering the floor and used bedsheets. After complaining, she said theroom would be clean in half an hour. The poor cleaning lady came incrying as she the only person on duty in the whole hotel, forced totake upon herself one of the largest rooms, while having a deadline foranother x number of rooms. After further protest, we were given anotherroom, which was clearly ready and waiting. Upon further inspection,many larger sized rooms were perfectly available and had nobodyresiding in them during our stay.

Review 17：A smart, modern hotel, close to the centre of Mamaia. The hotel was clean and staff extremely friendly. Excellent value for money - we had use of the indoor and outdoor swimming pool, breakfast included and a sea view.

Review 18：To access to the swimming pool need to go outside, I stay in this location several times but the last one was not good, the Hotel was almost full and their staff not were able to manage the situation. For the breakfast I waited 15 minutes for a coffe , also to replace the glasses was necessary wait at least 10 minutes (4 stars??). When I ask 1 hour for delay the check out (I stay with my son 4 Y) the response was NO without try to come close to guest request or problematical and not considering that the day before the swimming pool was out of order for maintenance! Last time in this hotel for me

Review 27：Staff even though nice (at least apparently), still need a bit of improvement. Don't have the initiative in helping customers however willing to help upon request. The Spa area needs improvement: one massage room, broken sauna, one treadmill only is not enough for a 4 stars hotel. The beach area reserved for Del Mar Hotel customers disappointing. Don't go there with high expectations! It is in total contradiction with the appearances of the hotel. Avoid using the hotel in the weekends when they have other events booked. They will give priority to those events instead regular customers.

Review 28：Pretty new building, generally nice staff, very clean, comfortable even cosy in some areas, good value for money. Very nice outdoor swimming pool, well maintained, good pool bar and facilities. Breakfast was with a good variety of food (even for low cal meals), staff in the restaurant helpful. Good room service. For lunch and dinner need to improve a bit in approach towards customers.

Review 33：we was staying in the VIP suite and the quality of the room was ridiculous bad, the bad was very uncomfortable, room was dirty, the hotel is very far from the normal beaches, even the beach of the hotel is very bad. the breakfast was poor and low quality. We was very disappointed from all of the conditions and from the staff too. The staff was very unfriendly, slow and arrogant, when i was asking for something. the hotel is not even close the 4 star, we moved an another hotel in Mamaia, there was cheaper and much better too. If you want a nightmare vacation then you have to come here.

Review 34：they were charging a lot for an extra bed (approx 35 dolar per day) also the booking was for two adults and one kid however the room only offered one bed, hotel response was that they thought the kid is going to sleep in the same bed !!!???? they've provided an extra bed however at the end of the day cost was almost 30% more in total...

The price is ridiculous a double room with see view in a five star hotel within a 1 mile radius it will cost you the same that I pay for my Junior.I stay in over 50 hotels last year but so far this was the worst experience. Com policy by charging customers CC prior to hotel arrival, because as in my situation I had to depart a day earlier. The hotel staff could and did not refund me for my last day there that I did not use.

You think I came to you hotel to steal your towels??? The girl at the desk was very rude regarding this matter. She said if I don't pay for the towel that is missing she will have to pay for it. Hello hotel manager stop being a nobody and pay your employees better salaries without taking out money out of their salary if your employees don't charge me for this stuff or forget. For a 4 star hotel this seems like a 1 star hotel regarding hotel policies and hassle. Just the idea that I was accused of stealing the towel after paying 1000$ for 8 days was an insult to me. Learn to treat people better if you call yourself a 4 star hotel.

Review 100：The hotel looks and feels nice, it is among just few decent hotels in Mamaia, rest of them being built 30-40 years ago in comunist way. We stayed just one night for a short relaxation, and we felt excelent. The staff was nice, we asked to make checkin earliear than normal time and they accepted immediately. The breakfast was good, not "fancy", but didn't lack anything in special. Overall the experience was better then our expectations.

Review 101：The hotel is totally half arsed. The bed is effectively just 3 or 4 cms of sponge on a wooden board. Not good if you sleep on your side. In the VIP room the curtains are 1 metre too short, the lighting in the bathroom was poor and the small air conditioning unit was in the living room meaning the bedroom was a horrible sweat box. I am normally a heavy sleeper but didnt have one good sleep in 8 days at Hotel Del Mar. Got food poisoning twice, once from the hotel restaurant, the second time the room magnified the discomfort. Generally the air con was switched off all over the hotel. The corridors, the elevators and EVEN the gym had no air con on. To me a four star hotel should not be skimping and saving on air conditioning like this, it is a basic necessity...I moved to hotel vega after 8 days and was so glad just to be in a proper hotel, regardless of the extra price.

Review 102：Staff were generally helpful and friendly and many spoke conversational english. Rooms are spacious (if nothing else), and the gym equipment itself is reasonably sufficient for many activities.

Review 104：A high end 4 star hotel with great views of the black especially in the restaurant on the top floor. The room is very comfortable with a large balcony and a very quiet air conditioning unit. While we had to park on the street, the car was being monitored all night which was important for us as we had bikes on the back of our car. If you are looking for somewhere close to the beach in good quality then this is a hotel I can well recommend.

Review 105：Parking is a nightmare. Make friends with the parking lot guardian andhe'll find you a spot. Leaving the room cuts the electricity, so theroom will be unpleasantly hot when you return from the beach. Thehousekeeper walked in on us without knocking -- only later did we findthe "do not disturb" sign (it wasn't on the door knobwhere most hotels keep it).

Review 107：- When we arrived, the room was not very clean, but we called the reception and they send somebody that solved the problem; - the location of the hotel in Mamaia is not very good, but it is also not very bad; - the beach of the hotel - the hotel offers by courtesy sunbeds and umbrela at a beach at 2-3 min from tthe hotel, but that part of the beach is not very nice espacially because of the surroundings and of the fact that it seems it is not very well cleaned. Anyway, all in all, I would recommend this hotel for a trip at the Romanian seaside, and also for business.

Review 109：The restaurant waiters did not clean the tables for the next clients after removing used dishes from previously clients. I should ask few days for ashtrays on terrace. The private beach area is very dirty (they can use a sand cleaning machine but I'm afraid is not available on location) also the sun chairs bed sheets are dirty, umbrellas with damages parts, overall no pleasant at all to use the beach.

Review 111：The shower has one knob for cold water and another one for worm water. This makes it difficult to set the desired pressure and temperature. It would have been much better to have one knob to set the temperature and the other to set the water pressure. We lived in a 2 room apartment a living room and a bedroom. The air conditioning is located in the living room so the only way to get air conditioning in the bedroom is to stay with the door opened. It would have been nice to have separate air conditioning in each room. The sauna is kind of a joke. It's a small cabin in the corner of a large room. It looks like an afterthought. Anyway considering how hot it was outside we never felt the need to use the sauna.

Review 112：This hotel is great when traveling with small kids/babies. In our case we've traveled with a 2 year old and we've got a free baby bed. We had easy access everywhere in the hotel with the baby carriage thanks to the elevators and the access ramps. This should be a given for any hotel but I've noticed many other hotels in Mamaia with no access ramps where you have to take the stairs. The hotel itself looks very classy. It's very clean and very well maintained. I've also liked the way it was decorated. I think the rooms looked very nice. The staff was very friendly and they've helped me with any questions or concerns I've had. It was also very nice that they've allowed us to check-in at 3pm and to check out at 2.30pm which meant that we've got a half day at the beach in the first day and another half day in the day we've left. It was also nice that many things are included in the price: breakfast, sauna, pool table, gym, access to the beach, internet access from the room.The food for the breakfast is OK. It could have been more varied and the waiters could have been more active replenishing the things that are finished. Several times I've asked them for more glasses, water, milk, spoons etc. But once you ask them they bring it to you. I don't think anybody leaves hungry from the breakfast table. Everybody should be able to find something they like. It's nice that they've had also cakes and fresh fruits.The hotel was also very quiet. It's placed on the second row of hotels from the beach which means that there is little street noise. Most of the street noise comes from the walking street next to the beach. I couldn't hear any noise from the neighboring rooms or the hallway either.The room had very good curtains. They could stop most of the outdoor light which is good if you want to sleep late or if you want to put your kid to sleep in the middle of the day.

Review 113：It was a very bad smell in the bathroom and although we requested for measures to be taken, the personnel did not consider that we deserve for them to make a swift effort to solve the problem so measures were taken after three days of complaints.
