Reviews for STF Hotell Kvarntorget
Review 1:Too many things to list but I will try. First off, we got the room on the bottom floor right next to the reception and sandwiched by the room next door with a very loud and screaming toddler. Not a baby buy a kid that won't sleep past 1am and runs around, opening and closing doors and screams. We can hear the neighbor showers and talking. They forgot to put towels in our room so my husband has to wait 15 mins before we got a hold of some. The shower is ridiculously large but the curtain is small and water gets all over the whole bathroom floor but they provide a squeegee for u to scrape. U also have to push the button for the water the keep coming out during the shower. The grossest encounter is the floor mat in the room, i have long black hair but there were about at least 50 pcs of hair on the floor mat. I almost wanted to borrow their vacuum but I was too tired. We used the stained bed cover to cover the floor. The sheet seems clean at least. I had better experience staying at a youth hostel. Never let the them put u on the first floor or stay here at all.
Review 2:Street parking because it was the weekend so it was free. There are 4 designated free hotel parking during the week otherwise. Breakfast was sufficient.
Review 3:Some bread at the breakfast was moldy, although there was fresh bread available as well. The breakfast in entirety was rather plain, I wouldn't excactly had paid for it. The bathroom was small and plastic-y.
Review 4:The room was tidy and bed comfortable.
Review 5:Attention: ongoing construction with a lot of noise and vibration, sometimes up until midnight. Finding sleep is impossible and the Internet access through WLAN did not work!
Review 6:They aren't super good organized, but for young people is not a problem at all, the compensate by being helpful and nice. They don´t clean the rooms every day during the stay, but if you need something like extra soap or clean towels, they would provide them. As it seems, the rest of the facilities are being constantly cleaned.
Review 7:WiFi is available for free everywhere in the hotel. The staff are nice and helpful. For young travelers is definitely a great place to stay. The breakfast is good. The location is also very good and there is a kebab place just below, which makes it really easy to get food at any time.
Review 8:There was no sound proofing in the room and it was impossible to sleep. This hotel is fine if you don't need sleep but otherwise avoid it.
Review 9:Location Free hot chocolate
Review 10:Some minor flaws here and there, but nothing unbearable: - the window ovelooked the internal hall, so we didn't see the sky or street at all - the water was leaking a bit from the shower cabin, but it didn't matter much - it was a hot day, and we would welcome a better ventilation - not too close to the city centre, probably a 15-20 min walk - no free shampoo
Review 11:Very clean quiet hotel with free wifi access, friendly staff, ok breakfast. Probably it has been renovated recently. The price on promotion was better than what you usually get in Sweden
Review 12:No double beds
Review 13:Nothing really
Review 14:Clean, no fuss, comfortable, free parking
Review 15:The location just bit far from city center and some more you can smell the foods cooked from a restaurant next door
Review 16:Polite and helpful staffs
Review 17:No windows in my room
Review 18:Quiet Warm cosy simple
Review 19:great front desk person
Review 20:The fresh filter coffee in the lobby was simply evil, and the cappuccino out of the machine was terrible, although the instant coffee in the room was perfectly drinkable. Other than that it was all very good!
Review 21:Warm, comfortable and friendly, good breakfast, appreciated the free Wi-Fi.
Review 22:They missed to clean the room one day. The beds were too close to the wall and curtains at the window. No space to move.
Review 23:The staff was very friendly and service minded.
Review 24:The breakfast area is a large hallway with concrete and steel. Some softmaterials might improve the acoustics there.
Review 25:Clean and tidy. Somewhat cosy, despite the low-budget appearance.
Review 26:The hotel was a construction site. Jack hammers were going from 8-16:00 every day. The hotel itself is out of the way in a residential area that was not so desirable. The hotel was a converted leisure hall and felt horrible. I would never go there again.
Review 27:Nothing
Review 28:NB! there is no window to outside (only inside-terrarium-window). Therefore, some people , as me, may not have enough fresh air at night
Review 29:it just works. Code for entrance door, clean and renewed shower-room, coffe-machine in the room
Review 30:The first room they offered us was without any closet. There was noteven a place to hang your clothes. The window could not be opened. Itwas not really dirty, but it was not clean either. They advertise as ahotel, but in reality they are a youth hostel. They should not misleadtheir customers. They are a youth - hostel. Do not claim to be a hotel.
Review 31:When we complained they were understanding, and we were allowed to leavethe hotel after two days, even so we had booked a non-refund 4-day stay. That was very fair of them.
Review 32:This is actually a hostel with few separate double/single rooms. Windows are not outside but in the lobby. You should ask for the shower towels!
Review 33:Not expensive and free 48h parking. Free internet.
Review 34:Parking was a problem. There is parking in the back of the hotel forfree but it is full and not easy to find a space. The hotel has about 4spaces on the side of the building and we were able to use one of them. The parking on the street requires one to pay for parking and it isexpensive. The screen for viewing soccer games was right outside ourrooms and it did cause noise when we wanted to sleep. I would reccomendtravelers to request quiet rooms away from the atrium lobby.
Review 35:The hotel was conveniently located in Uppsala. We could walk toeverything. The staff was polite and helpful. The restaurantreccomendation by the staff was excellent.
Review 36:Rooms have no windows, except towards hallway (curtains closed unless you want someone peering in). Windows cannot open, so it is stuffy and warm. Though I was traveling in spring, so this was torelable. I would not recomend staying in such airless room during summer.
Review 37:Staff - helpful, breakfast - tasty, WiFi - worked. There was a small kettle for boiling water in the room (and TV). Also there is a kitchen at twin hostel available. Free coffee (in evenings only) and comfortable couches at lobby. Very OK stay for a fairly low price.
Review 38:The room I have got have no window with day light. This is a bitdifficults for me. There is only english bbc as non swedish tv.
Review 39:The room was cleaned everyday and kind perosonnel.
Review 40:The only negative (and it was only a slight incovnenience) was the absence of an iron in the room. There was one available at the check-in desk, so the inconvenience was very small.
Review 41:The staff were very friendly, helpful and flexible with arrangements. I recieved late notice that a colleague would be joining me on the trip, and the staff allowed him to stay for the week without extra payment, which is unusual in my experience of hotels. Before I arrived, my flight was delayed and my colleague arrived 10 hours before me. I contacted the staff by email and they were flexible enough to check him into the room, despite him lacking the booking confirmation, Overall, very friendly and helpful staff!
Review 42:Wireless internet did not work in rooms. Walls were very thin so that neighbours' noise was disturbing. Not much room in rooms.
Review 43:Coffee and tea in rooms. Clean room. Spacious communal areas.
Review 44:It was OK!
Review 45:It was a calm place Good beds A large room We coul use the kitchen in the hostel Cheap parking Tea and coffee in the room
Review 46:Nothing special. Just to past the night and go. For that purpouse it is okey.
Review 47:not good plan of the hotel: all rooms are have windows in inside hall, that is why some time it is noicy
Review 48:staff, meal
Review 49:small restauraunt next door.
Review 50:Everything is good.I can rent a bike there.
Review 51:very small bathroom, poor sound insulation - could hear neighbors snore
Review 52:Very friendly staff, good price, breakfast
