Reviews for Drury Inn & Suites Columbus Convention Center

Review 1:Our first room smelled like someone had smoked in there. However they were more than accommodating in giving us a new room

Review 2:Happy hour with food and free breakfast. Front desk personnel was great

Review 3:No complaints.

Review 4:I loved the security of the building. Room key is needed to enter parking garage, elevator lobby and to make the elevator move. I felt very safe as two women traveling alone. Breakfast was great, as a non-coffee drinker, I liked having fountain soda available.

Review 5:Nice location near the Columbus conference center. You can actually walk to the Hilton or several other hotels without going outside if the weather is poor.

Review 6:Staff was professional but did nothing to make you feel your business was important, nor make you want to be a repeat customer.

Review 7:The location, facilities, cleanliness and hot breakfast were excellent.

Review 8:OSU gameday made it packed and probably not a clean and quiet as normal. Elevators were always packed and there needs to be more.

Review 9:Kickback, Breakfast, Room Size, Friendly Staff, Location

Review 10:The price included the light dinner buffet from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm as well as the breakfast buffet in the morning. The price for the room was more than reasonable, as a matter of fact it was an outright BARGIN!

Review 11:The parking ramp is very small and the parking spaces are very tight and it is difficult to park.

Review 12:Location is perfect if you are looking for walking distance to the convention center or nationwide arena.

Review 13:Would have liked the ability to open a window,to allow fresh air in the room, because we find air con tends to cause coughing and dry throat. Lack of variety at breakfast.

Review 14:The staff greeting and friendliness was superb, always helpful and jolly. Constant availability of tea/coffee in the lobby. Spacious room/comfortable bed/plenty of towels/coffee maker/iron and board.

Review 15:Perfect location, convenient parking, super friendly staff, and probably one of the cleanest hotels I've ever stayed in. It's a minor detail but I love the shampoo, etc dispensers in the shower. So much better than those tiny little bottles that are only suitable if you were an infant. And, the product that is in the dispenser is very high quality.

Review 16:It's not nice to have only plastic cutlery and plastic dishes, and cups to eat and drink. For that reason first and and last time to visit this place.

Review 17:The room is OK.

Review 18:About 80% of the staff was a bunch of A**holes whole overdid their jobs, IE: there was one lady at the front desk who would hunt you down if you so much as sneezed during quiet hours. You also need your room card to do literally anything in that hotel, even use the elevator. I couldn't go down a hallway without needing to pull out my keycard again.

Review 19:Its very nice that the hotel was right on the convention center so it wasn't too much of a walk. The free breakfast and dinner was definitely a nice addition

Review 20:location and parking together were a plus for this area. The afternoon drinks and appetizers along with the breakfast is what convinced us to stay at this location.

Review 21:The only thing I didn't like was the raised strip on the floor between the toilet and sink area. This was very easy to stub your toe on. Otherwise, our stay was great.

Review 22:The bed was extremely comfortable.

Review 23:The only negative thing was that that there wete unaccompanied kids in the pool area who were a bit unruly.

Review 24:I liked the friendly staff. The "kick back" dinner was an added bonus we didn't know about in advance...nice touch.

Review 25:prior to booking we looked everywhere to find their direct phone line. We did find it and tried to book directly because we had my 12yr old handicap grandson with us. We just wanted to make sure they had a handicapped bathroom.they did but totally booked. Even though we had several sites showing rooms on pic sites. We booked thru computer site and made sure to make notations all over we needed a handicap bath. When we Checked in she didn't understand. And said the handicap rms were booked when we were the only handicap vehicle there.?.they should have a handicap room saved for last room! So we just waited til home for shower but otherwise we would have been really upset. Only problem . No way to fix but things happen

Review 26:Arrived 5pm ,a little late with our event starting at 7pm, to see a lobby crowded with people enjoying a large Buffett. Smelled very good. Unfortunately we had eaten on way. We received drink cards for bar for 2 free, pool and hot tub nice n clean. Bed comfortable. Free parking and they allowed us to park in covered area with our wheelchair van. Breakfast was hot with so much to choose from. Safety is very good. You can't use elevator unless you have room key. I have stayed in just about every hotel chain in many many places but this had to be one of my very favorites!!

Review 27:Luis helped my group locate a restaurant that was fabulous! The bar tender at happy hour was friendly and outgoing:) we all loved the appetizers and breakfast that was provided. Great stay!

Review 28:missed free cocktails by 5 min. wouldnt give us anything. Coffee in AM was the worst i ever had. As many commented the same. it was undrinkable no matter how much i tried to doctor it up. Food was wiped out. Asked for plain bagel and had no butter or cream cheese. It again was at the end of serving time. Went next door to buy coffee and ended up having no breakfast.

Review 29:Having to pay to park in the hotels own parking lot. It will make me think about staying at this hotel again. Need a few less carbs on the "dinner" buffet. Fresh vegetables would have been nice.

Review 30:Free full breakfast. Many choices.

Review 31:It was not a relaxing stay because the place was so crowded due to a convention going on. The fridge in the room was unclean as well as the shower.

Review 32:The bed was comfortable and the room was spacious. I injured myself getting out of the hot tub and the staff gave me a bunch of complimentary first aid, which was great. Breakfast was satisfactory.

Review 33:Every staff person we came in contact with was friendly, helpful and courteous. Also loved the "happy hour" and breakfast so nicely presented.

Review 34:Told to use back entrance/exit to take out pets but couldn't find it. Very basic amenities (allpaper,no lotion, boring coffee) food & drink in fridge from previous guests

Review 35:Location and friendly staff

Review 36:Was just surprised when we went to our room that we had a meeting room. Not that it was that bad but was a shocker to open the door to that. I know the hotel was sold out so it wasn't a big deal.

Review 37:Beds were very comfy and the breakfast was very good and we also enjoyed the happy hour between 5:30-7:00. We also liked how you had to have your key to get anywhere. Made us feel safe.

Review 38:Our toilet was acting up and in the morning I was nervous about using it fearing it wouldn't flush so I asked the front desk for a key to another room, but that was denied. They offered to get a repair person in right away which I declined since I needed facilities in a hurry so I used the lobby bathroom. I had dressed in a hurry and never did get back to use the shower as we were on a tight schedule. Definitely soured my experience. It was really no one's fault and when we checked out they thanked me for reporting the problem.

Review 39:The location was very nice and we enjoyed our walk around the area. The room was very nice and comfortable. Breakfast was better than most with tons of choices, although the sausage was cold. The staff was very friendly.

Review 40:Nothing

Review 41:This hotel offered the perfect location, price, and Staff for our business at the Convention center. Plus offering a free breakfast and evening snacks just added to the positive experience we encountered.

Review 42:We drive a suburban and it was really hard to park in the parking garage. The parking is tight and people took up more than one spot.

Review 43:The last night we were there, we were unable to park in the garage. A huge snow storm hit and before we got downstairs to check out that morning, they had cleaned our car off and removed all the snow around it.

Review 44:My wife and I stayed at drury for a concert at Nationwide Arena. We were able to walk there in less than 5 min. Great location for the price of the hotel. Not the fanciest hotel I have stayed in but the staff was friendly and the room was clean.

Review 45:The main reason I was going was for the hot tub which was broken, I ask the staff and they kept telling me it's getteing fixed never worked the whole weekend. The staff was pretty rude

Review 46:Very impressed with this hotel; the room was very clean and bathroom looked like it had been recently updated. Comfy bed with a beautiful view of downtown. Just a quick two blocks to Nationwide arena and the C-bus will take you to German Village for free (or you can walk it in about a half hour). Great free breakfast buffet and free cocktail hour too. Free enclosed parking garage, card key to use garage and elevator made us feel very safe. Would definitely stay here again.

Review 47:We loved the suite we booked. Our family of 6 was very comfortable in the room. The Happy Hour and complimentary hot breakfast was excellant! The staff was very friendly and the hotel was clean!

Review 48:Everything! Staff was friendly and helpful. It was clean and was a great price with a lot of extras included! I would definitely recommend it and would stay again.

Review 49:The ramp to the parking garage is located in an awkward position relative to the check-in stacking lane, creating a bottleneck. The parking spaces are too narrow.

Review 50:When I checked in, I was tired and must have projected grumpy, but the front desk person exuded sympathy and understanding and I left the check-in desk with a smile. It was outreach above and beyond that I had received in many 5Star hotels.

Review 51:The lobby area is also the dining room/ breakfast area and very crowded. There are only 2 elevators so had to wait a long time for them and it was hard to take the stairs.

Review 52:close to the convention center and restaurants and

Review 53:Not much in the way of gluten free options at their very large food service.

Review 54:Excellent location even though the street was under construction. When complete it is going to be lovely, I am sure. Rooms were spacious and very comfortable. Staff was pleasant and helpful to us.

Review 55:Nothing!

Review 56:Very clean facilities Friendly & helpful staff Very quiet property Excellent food!! Saved a lot of money on breakfast and dinner! Nice pool area Comfortable beds HUGE suite! easily could sleep 6 and plenty of floor space left! Nice Kitchenette! Secure parking FREE WI-FI! Very convenient to Columbus Convention center Close to food courts and shopping at the Convention center Was able to walk everywhere on Short North and Convention area

Review 57:The breakfast was pretty awful! Potatoes were orange and the eggs were inedible. Strange, given the quality of everything else here.

Review 58:Rooms were spacious and comfortable. Easy walk to many restaurants.

Review 59:The lady that served the food complained too much about her job

Review 60:I loved how we had everything at the hotel to gather with friends for coffee or at the lounge or at breakfast. This hotel is almost like an all inclusive resort and its not advertised enough. This is my favourite hotel from now on.

Review 61:The staff was really great. I had accidentally booked my room for the wrong night and the manager was so kind to reverse the no-show charge for me. We will definitely stay here again.

Review 62:I have nothing bad to say about this hotel, other than the variety of alcohol that they serve was very disappointing. BYOB ;) haha

Review 63:The staff was friendly. The rooms were spacious. They were very clean! You get two free meals a day :) Easy access to the convention center!

Review 64:This hotel was easy to find GPS. Located downtown and the front desk clerk was very attentive. Can't say any thing bad about this place.l stayed over night and the breakfast was hot and they had good coffee.

Review 65:The refrigerator and microwave didn't work.

Review 66:The dinner buffet was great for the kids. Close to the convention cebter

Review 84:The elevator was a little tricky to operate at first. You had to use a key.

Review 85:I loved our room. Very spacious.

Review 86:Parking garage is very tight. Didn't see any handicap parking.

Review 87:The pool should be heated
