Reviews for Chamberlin Inn

Review 1:Room smaller than expected. Ground floor room, exterior window with poor view of garden, view looked directly onto bar patio which meant for privacey curtains had to be closed.

Review 2:Staff very friendy and helpful. Location very good in respect centre of Cody.

Review 3:Nothing

Review 4:What a fabulous hotel! Friendly and helpful owner and staff - special thanks to Shelby. Beautiful individually styled rooms which were comfortable and well equipped. Lovely garden and bar area.

Review 5:Even though I did know at the time of the booking, that no breakfast is included, I think for that price of a room a breakfast should be included.

Review 6:It is beautifully made up hotel, lovely rooms not one looks the same as the other, beautiful garden to relax with a drink after the sightseeing. Centrally located.

Review 7:lovely hotel, nice room, very nice gardens. friendly and informative staff, great location. this was an ideal base for enjoying Cody and exploring Yellowstone

Review 8:Absolutely perfect in every way. Great location, friendly and helpful staff, beautifully restored and maintained inside and out, lovely garden, wonderful personal touches throughout. This is one of the nicest inns we have ever stayed at and in my opinion The Best place to stay in Cody.

Review 9:Stayed in 2 different rooms. On had a very noisy defective in-wall AC unit. The other room's AC was ok but was in the wall just below the window which had full length curtain, so it was either leave the curtain open and let early light in, or close it and block off the AC. And the interroom soundproofing is inadequate

Review 10:Nice staff, small hotel comfy beds, but bring your ear plugs

Review 11:No bad experience, but cookies near the coffee would have been nice, especially in the morning.

Review 12:The hotel was fabulous. We truly enjoyed every aspect of the hotel. It was luxurious and we felt pampered with the chocolates and the Italian toiletries. The staff was so helpful and accommodating. Loved the courtyard, sunroom, and sitting/game room. Enjoyed coffee, cocktails and a game of cribbage and the ambiance of it all. Very good location.

Review 13:Excellent location for visiting Arches and Canyonlands, The view in the garden is breathtaking. The road to get to the hotel is equally breathtaking. Kindness of staff and great breakfast.

Review 14:Lack of breakfast

Review 15:Charming and elegant turn of the century hotel located in the historic center of Cody. Warm and comfortable rooms, clean bathrooms and very friendly and helpful staff.beautiful garden too.

Review 16:Noise from alley. Garbage trucks. Noise from air conditioner. Wish they had a king size bed available.

Review 17:Location and unique property. Court yard. Staff was helpful and pleasant.

Review 18:We had lots of luggage and had to carry the bags ourself up the stairs to the first floor as there are no elevators.

Review 19:The Inn is newly renovated historic building.

Review 20:I wish we'd been told that there was coffee available for guests in the morning ; it would have saved me a trip in search of coffee. That's a minor point. Otherwise , it was a very pleasant stay .

Review 21:The staff was friendly , the room unique and comfortable , and the location was excellent . We walked all over downtown Cody and found some nice shops and restaurants nearby too.

Review 22:The room was not as expected, in particular the bathroom. Although somewhat different, it was far from being comfortable.

Review 23:The hotel itself is very nice and it has some history

Review 24:Although there was a coffee maker in the room, no breakfast was offered.

Review 25:Beautiful property located in the center of historic downtown. Each room had it's own decor and the small bar was wonderful after a long day of traveling.

Review 26:The old fashioned footed tub was cute but too small to shower/bathe in. If your not athletic, ask for a room with a full size tub/shower.

Review 27:One block from downtown. Elizabeth made us feel at home and special. Absolutley beautiful hotel. Great history. Very charming. comfortable room. Great lounge and service. Cool parlor, library, lounge area and sun room.

Review 28:Classy, Stylish, Comfortable, Unique, Convenient, Immaculate, Super Friendly, Cordial, Helpful and Accommodating Staff. We are planning a return visit

Review 29:That we did not stay for more than 1 night!

Review 30:Everything about this hotel is outstanding. Great staff, location, amenities, uniqueness etc etc. Loved it.

Review 31:small, expensive room without a window and an uncomfortable bed loud noises from room next door and room upstairs a clanging clock in the lobby

Review 32:the staff nicely restored building good bar

Review 33:Ideally would prefer breakfast option in the hotel.

Review 34:Very helpful staff. Location excellent, two minutes walk from from main street and activities. Overall would rate this hotel 8 out of 10

Review 35:No problems or issues with our stay - only possible thing extra that would have been nice, would have been to offer breakfast (the Chamberlin only provides coffee in the mornings).

Review 36:Great location just off Cody's mainstreet. Really friendly and helpful staff. Exceptionally comfortable room, immaculately presented. Great cocktail bar/lounge/conservatory/garden. A haven of peace and civilisation. Would love to stay again. We must mention the superb efforts of the general manager - a most obliging gentleman who carried all our heavy luggage both in and out of the hotel and up the stairs, there being no elevator. The cocktail bar manageress was equally obliging and chatted to us at length, warning us of the closed roads and road works inside Yellowstone. This advance warning proved most helpful in reorganising our route.

Review 37:The room was a bit small.

Review 38:The Inn had a bed and breakfast feel with a quiet and manicured court yard. It is a short walking distance to shops and places to eat. The staff was extremely friendly even giving us wine glasses for the wine we brought and allowed us to drink it in the court yard where they serve wine from their bar.

Review 39:General lighting in bedroom could be better; corner with the coffee maker was quite dark. Air conditioner was very noisy so had to be switched off to get some sleep. For the price would have liked glasses and crockery, not paper cups, and a fridge.

Review 40:Quiet. Nice garden and sun room, library and music room. General Manager couldn't have been more helpful; his recommendation for dinner was spot on. Good location. Very quaint decor based on vintage fixtures and fittings.

Review 41:We loved the overall decor and ambiance of this hotel. We especially enjoyed the entertainment in the garden area while sipping our drinks! We also liked the central location so we could park our car and walk everywhere.

Review 42:Would have liked a breakfast spread for the price, even just continental, but still a beautiful place and a great staff.

Review 43:Stayed here one night on our way from Badlands National Park to Yellowstone National Park. Beautiful inn, great location, stunning bathroom. Very comfortable and lovely. Enjoyed the delicious coffee.

Review 44:Knew that Cody was 1hrs from yellowstone east entrance but you still have about 45 min to 1 hrs before getting to one of the main view point... (Lots of place to stop and see in between)

Review 45:Off main road, cute little place, very short walk to main downtown street

Review 46:If only we could have found the ice machine...

Review 47:The restoration of this century old hotel was exceptional. The garden and solarium couldn't have been more beautiful. Our suite was perfect for a family of 5.

Review 48:The WiFi was not terribly reliable they have a great sitting area, it would have been perfect for a light continental breakfast...this would've set it over the top.

Review 49:I like old, I like charm, I like cozy, I like hospitality. This place has it all the front desk was very accommodating.

Review 50:Rooms were very small with a loud air conditioner.

Review 51:The Chamberlin Inn is located in the middle of Cody, within walking distance of most attractions. Staff was very friendly. We enjoyed the beautiful gardens and live music in the evening. Very clean.

Review 52:Tubs, claw foot stands taller than usual. Tub was slick. I fell getting out of shower. Perhaps a sturdy step stool or accessible grab bars. (I grabbed the towel bar and it fell off in my hand).

Review 53:Personal, friendly service. Marvelous comfortable rooms.

Review 54:Not much. but I can see other people not liking a sink right next to the bed. This is typical for all old hotels, including in Europe.

Review 55:I originally intended for a place after visiting Yellowstone Park, but the place was fabulous. You also must see the Hemingway signature on your way out.

Review 56:Some people would miss being able to get breakfast, but staff direct you to good places nearby

Review 57:The comfort - amazing bed linen, the lovely garden and sun room, the style, the history and the helpful staff. We'd love to be able to return and stay loner!

Review 99:A beautifully restored hotel in the heart if Cody where attention to detail and guest comfort is an art.

Review 100:a very unique and romantic hotel just off main street. great owners and friendly staff.

Review 101:Room was too small, practically claustrophobic, and noisy. No comfortable seating available. Couldn't open the door entirely because the bed was in the way. No soundproofing could hear guests conversations. Staff did not change our towels. Took some pillows off the bed. Would not return or recommend.

Review 102:Friendly staff and nicely appointed common areas.

Review 103:Nothing even came close to something they didn't like...
