Reviews for Aava Resort and Spa
Review 1:Description of accommodation misleading. Not true villa. Uneven service attitude. General condition of facilities not great. Weathered and in disrepair in parts.
Review 2:Peaceful vibes.
Review 3:Beds were too small for 2 adults and mattress hard (but we asked for a topper and one was provided), sun beds in scarce supply (and so not really fair to be allowing non hotel residents to use the pool), food is a little hit and miss - the food at CC's beach bar (short walk along the beach) is better and cheaper, room was dirty on arrival and so had to be cleaned again (but the bath remained dirty), cushions had stains on, housekeeping not really up to standard. Whilst bathroom looks nice the design of the shower is not very hygienic (wooden slats on the floor) and cockroaches climbed up from underneath which was inevitable really. Breakfast needs attention, ordered french toast one day and got 2 slices of white bread wrapped in a plain omelette which was weird.
Review 4:Beach was beautiful and the concept of the resort is good. Happy hour was fun. Room rate was reasonable but (as with everywhere in Thailand) you do get stung by the 10% service charge and VAT on top,
Review 5:The main pipe in resort was broke and I have no water for shower. Very bad situation coz i have to leave before noon
Review 6:Room was very clean, bathroom was outstanding and staffs are very helpful
Review 7:The Logo and full name in front of the Registra nearby the road side are difficult to read especially at night. The spot lights are not in good position. We could not find the hotel although we passed it 5 times at 8.00 pm. last Friday night.
Review 8:Excellent services and good foods, also peaceful beach.
Review 9:-Idea to serve "A la carte breakfast" is a good one but they have low efficiency with limited staffs. We are 5 members in family, we ordered 1.5 hrs. our breakfast did not serve until we reminded them again, they lost our order and compensated by packing 1-2 meals for us - Value of money is very poor, we rent a Duplex Villa with open-air jacuzzi but it was not worth at all.
Review 10:- Facilities are fair, room was clean and comfortable but not good condition, the hotel seems older than 10 yrs. without renovation. The roof ceiling was cracked.
Review 11:Expensive restaurant
Review 12:Beautiful long beach .Very good breakfast
Review 13:1.the bed sheet is too thin. 2. the air con is not cool.3, No improvement .
Review 14:The beach is beautiful and private , Good for relaxing.
Review 15:Nothing
Review 16:Everything
Review 17:Everything.
Review 18:Extremely small room. Called villa but was just a small room. Very loud air conditioning with non working controls. Much noise from neighbouring rooms.
Review 19:Nice beach front. Nice design of the whole ensemble (but the so called villas aren't really good)
Review 20:No staff answering the phone even at normal hours. No hot water, was told it was broken but after they fixed it, still didn't work. Lots of mosquitoes, has to asked for mosquitoes repellent which wasn't available anyway.
Review 21:Very isolated - not possible to walk to a town and transport to the town of khanom very expensive. The beach was scrubby and full of washed up debris.
Review 22:Everything about the hotel itself - the decor, breakfast etc, was fantastic,
Review 23:Tiny room, with no space for luggage, dominated by a big wooden desk for the bed with sharp edges = bloody shin. Small matress ( queen size) rock hard= backpain. Soft Pillow without support for neck= neckpain. Aircon opposite the bed with cold air blowing into your face= catch a cold. Sliding door to bathroom just a plank without handle= broken fingernail. Handwash basin in style of japanese table plate= water splash everywhere. No space for soap inside shower, no hanger for towels inside room. The rain shower is hot or cold, but not warm. The restaurant delivers fushion kitchen = Thai meals made in western style = no taste and vice versa on for western cuisine. Parma ham pizza made with old dry bacon instead of ham. Thai record for wine price: 1 small glass ( 0.1) of mediocre white wine = Euro 11! The architect should be punished to stay in this resort
Review 24:Beautiful design, but for sure not one of the 101 best hotels in the world as they claim- see at the right side
Review 25:The rooms are all on ground level so no view or no balconies
Review 26:Location of the hotel on the beach
