Reviews for Cody Legacy Inn & Suites

Review 1:Was booked for two nights, on second morning room key cards would not work. Took quite some time to find someone who worked there to make us new cards. They could give no reason why our cards wouldn't work. We did not like how the Lobby is closed every night and doors locked. You had to make entrance from the side doors at each end of the building. No attendants on duty at night and the hotel basically shuts down with the Lobby closed and lights shut down. Coffee pots were empty which was supposed to be a perk since they do not offer any type of breakfast.

Review 2:Cleanliness and comfort

Review 3:No breakfast and if you don't like fast food chains too far from any decent restaurants.

Review 4:Our main reason to visit Cody was the Buffalo Bill Museum of the West. The motel was close enough. It was clean and comfortable and well priced.

Review 5:no breakfast, treadmill was scary-the belt would catch and would knock you off balance so I had to hand onto the handles the entire time to make sure I didn't fall while running

Review 6:Front staff was very friendly. The lady working the desk at check-in was very happy, eager to answer all questions. Made you feel very welcome.

Review 7:Front desk staff not particularly friendly or helpful. Only one elevator for this large hotel and that elevator broke down while we were there- many people on the third floor inconvenienced. No change machine in laundry room and no change available at front desk. No restaurants within walking distance at this time of year- most places closed for the season after Oct 1

Review 8:Convenient to highway, National Park and Yellowstone. Good parking

Review 9:The people upstairs got up at 5am and stopped around and were very loud coming down the stairway right next to our room each day. Other than that, the stay was great.

Review 10:The cleanliness was a bonus. Nothing was out of place and I was so happy to find everything very clean. I had recently stayed in Cheyenne and had to wipe down the sink counters before I placed my personal items on them. So thanks!

Review 11:price was a little in the high range, we paid less than $60 for a similar room in Casper the night after

Review 12:nice clean comfy room, nice people running the place

Review 13:All is good. If you want to back to Yellowstone NP, the location is not that good since it will be a long way driving to the east gate. And there is a long way from east gate to the park as well.

Review 14:Big bed. Clean room. Free coffee or tea.

Review 15:The only thing missing for us was a safe in the room. We would have liked to be able to lock up our valuables, but nothing was bothered so I guess it was okay. It was a few blocks from the main street in Cody, but we didn't mind that.

Review 16:The hotel was very clean and comfortable. A great value for the money. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

Review 17:A spacious bedroom, lots of towels, very comfortable bed and interesting memorabilia around the main areas. Very good value for money, much better than I was expecting for a small town.

Review 18:All good.

Review 19:For what it is it was perfect. My husband doesn't walk well somtheyboffered us an ADA room w/ two queen beds. We didn't need that level of accessability but was happy to see that one of the queen beds was lower than standard, perfect for an easy transfer for someone in a wheelchair. Desk clerk also gave us good breakfast and dinner recommendations. Perfect place for a stop to or from Yellowstone NP.

Review 20:It was very enjoyable staying there. The cabin was clean, the bed was comfortable and very quiet. The staff was also very helpful. Also ,having my car outside the cabin door was a plus.

Review 21:Unfortunately, no LIFT AND RATHER price too high ; DA no breakfast OFFERED .but in Cody are all hotels overpriced.

Review 22:FACILITIES , friendliness of staff ; RATHER CALM AND little noise

Review 23:We are travelling across the U S and while there was nothing wrong with this hotel, compared to others we have been staying in, the price was a bit high... Though maybe Cody hotels are higher. Should be about $20-$30 cheaper...but again I am comparing this to hotels in other towns

Review 24:The lobby was very interesting with historical photos. The lady on the desk was lovely. The room was good... Nothing exceptional but clean and comfortable. The chunky western beds looked great.

Review 25:I wan't able to pay cash up front for the room and just leave a debit card for incidentals. First hotel I've stayed at that won't take cash up front.

Review 26:No elevator, had to make a few trips from the car to get everything in, but, thankfully, room was not too far from reception. That was our only quibble; otherwise, wonderful.

Review 27:Gorgeous property, spacious rooms beautifully decorated, large bathroom & vanity areas, lovely lobby and landing, and nice beverage choices. Laundry facilities and pool close by; didn't use, but both were clean and well-kept.

Review 28:No shears on the windows to acompany the blinds.

Review 29:Spacious, comfy room. Requested rooms on first floor since my elderly parents can't climb stairs and the staff was very helpful in making this happen even though they had a large older group who was staying at the same time. The staff even called me back at home prior to the trip to confirm my request.

Review 30:Unfortunately, Cody Legacy Inn & Suites did not provide anybreakfast other than coffee and tea in the mornings. Luckily, it waslocated within driving distance of several fast food restaurants andgrocery stores. We were able to feed our tummies this way.

Review 31:Earlier this year, some family and friends decided that they wanted toroad trip down to Yellowstone National Park. We decided that we would gowith them. There were not many choices of hotels/motels nearYellowstone and we initially booked with another hotel in Cody, wy.However, after reviewing the hotel, we decided to cancel our reservationand booked with Cody Legacy Inn & Suites instead. So happy we did!!We had come from South Dakota and was not really impressed with thehotel we stayed there. Cody Legacy Inn & Suites surpassed ourexpectations and everyone was super excited and impressed when wearrived at Cody Legacy Inn & Suites. Our group included children ofall ages and they loved the access to the pool. Overall, we loved ourstay at Cody Legacy Inn & Suites. The rooms were kept very clean andsmelled like it too. Everything in the room worked and we loved that itcame equipped with a fridge and microwave!!

Review 32:Hotel is clean. Beautiful rooms. Lots of information about the area and photos of town history on the walls. Rooms very spacious and beds really comfortable. Staff super helpful and friendly.

Review 33:Felt that the hotel was overpriced. The location was fine, but no breakfast, and nothing special about the room. Very underwhelmed by the whole experience.

Review 34:The only problem I had were the doors to the room were heavy and did make a lot of noise when opened and closed. The main reason being that people are not concerned about anybody else in the motel.

Review 35:It was clean and comfortable. The staff were pleasant and efficient to deal with. A good location to stay and a nice town.

Review 36:Very spacious room! The most comfortable beds, large bathroom, and very quiet! Definitely would stay again. Slightly out of town, but close enough to drive.

Review 37:no elevator to the second floor which made carrying the luggage a little tricky although the staff did offer to help us carry our stuff up and down the stairs

Review 38:The room was very nice and very quiet

Review 39:Cody though may be the most prosperous city near Yellowstone NP, it is not a good choice to live there. A 1.5-hour drive to major destinations in the Yellowstone NP is too streneous.

Review 40:Good room and very convenient neighborhood

Review 41:There were some kids running around early in the morning unattended and really noisy. The staff tried to tell them something but the parents didn't seem to care or mind. Other than that, it was a great stay.

Review 42:real clean and friendly atomosphere

Review 43:Bed was uncomfortable. No Breakfast. Pricey. For what we spent for the room, they should have included a breakfast. Won't go there again.

Review 44:Room was fine.

Review 45:This motel seemed fancier than it was. The rough-hewn log beds were dreadful if you wanted to get out of them --- or sit on the edge of the bed, for that matter. In addition, my asthmatic friend was unable to breathe, claiming that the room had not been aired for quite some time.

Review 46:Car hire GPS directed us to wrong place and not sure if address in booking.com is right as street map shows a different street name.

Review 47:Big big room no.218 clean and comfortable. Lovely big beds

Review 48:No check in until exactly 3:00. No other hotel holds to this unless they don't have a room. The bed is so bouncy, every time my husband moved, I woke up. No breakfast offered. Just seemed overpriced for so few amenities.

Review 49:Small pool was clean, everything looks modern, but it just felt unwelcomming. The coffee selection was nice.

Review 50:The employees were as friendly as you will find. We arrived very late (after midnight). I was half way expecting a person behind the front desk that likely didn't want to be there. This was far from the case. The attendant was happy to greet us and make us feel a home. He also responded quickly to a request we made after getting into our room. The room was clean and very comfortable. This was our first time in Cody Wyoming and we went back and forth on where to stay. We were extremely pleased with the Cody Legacy Inn and will book here again if we are ever in the area.

Review 51:Would be nicer if it had a breakfast included, although there are plenty of breakfast places in Cody.

Review 52:Good on-site laundry facilities and spacious rooms.

Review 53:is in Cody area, that really far away from east entrance

Review 54:the room is big and clean, wifi connect really well, the McDonald's cross the street is convenient to have breakfast

Review 55:I never saw any "continental breakfast", only coffee. The bed pillows are terrible. If you are driving to Cody, bring your own!

Review 56:The place was very clean and friendly.

Review 57:Convenient location, great coffee bar choices, including chai and green tea! Comfy beds, clean bathroom. Would stay here again and recommend to friends.

Review 58:Well, the hotel is not very clean and we found a lot of hair in our bedsbefore even using them. Maybe the housekeepers should use a cap duringthe room service? The staff is not really friendly and nice and did notwelcome us properly. After checking out they charged me $200 for smokingfee. After 2 days and with the help of booking.com I was able to have mymoney back and an e mail with apologies by the owner declaring they werewrong. A lot of unrequested stress during my vacation and all based onthe opinion of the housekeeper who smelt smoke. What an expert! We havenever smoked in our life. For me this is a place to avoid.

Review 59:Who legacy in suites appears to be brand-new. It is nicely decorated, VERY spacious room. Charming and helpful staff. They are proud of their facility and it shows. Will definitely stay there again when in Cody b

Review 60:Just a note: it took us a minute to figure out that the light switch had to be on in order for the power to be on for the Keurig.

Review 61:We enjoyed the decor, and the room was super clean. The towels were thick and fluffy. There is a Keurig in the room with plenty of capsules provided (and more available at the front desk if we would have run out). In the commons area there is a cappuccino maker, which also makes a white hot chocolate. While there is no breakfast, the website lets you know so you can plan accordingly. The coffee, tea and hot chocolate options provide a good complement to get the day started.

Review 62:Bed was quite worn and uncomfortable. Don't know if all beds are this way, but it seems like they need updated. Would be nice if they offered a small breakfast.

Review 63:Hotel was clean and staff was friendly. Conveniently located to everything.

Review 64:The lobby closed at 9pm so we couldn't get a soda or ice, light bulbs burnt out, lamp arched and smoked and neither was replaced.

Review 65:Nice spacious room and clean

Review 66:The microwave would not work and the desk clerk wasn't very helpful other than to write the info down for who ever fixed it. No discount on the bill and nothing was done to fix it.

Review 67:Nice size big, comfortable, quite room.

Review 68:No Continental Breakfast....

Review 69:EXCEPTIONAL STAFF...CLEANLINESS...SUPER "Nice Rooms"...Couldn't Have Been More Pleased...Thanks For The Experience...

Review 70:Nothing

Review 71:Friendliness of every member of staff we came in contact with and as everywhere we have stayed on our road trip is much of a mushiness this is what makes the difference between a good ands a great hotel

Review 72:Very large rooms, nice decoration, good reception. They have hot-tube,good Wifi.Free coffee, thee and small biscuits at reception.Large free parking lot.Very good price-quality

Review 73:The receptionist was the rudest person we have come across in six months of travel in the Usa She had the lights turned out in the foyer and would not speak to anyone until 3pm this included a couple just wanting to know if there was a vacancy. My husband and I advised her that we would not stay and she did not care the other couple also left to find other accommodation. The

Review 74:The pine furniture was lovely. I liked the tiny Keurig coffee machine. The room was very comfortable and the staff was excellent. Very nice place and pretty. Nice comment from your night lady regarding owners and other employees. We will come back - we came to see the Buffalo Bill Museum. What an awesome place! The two desk ladies were perfect for your place.

Review 75:The coffee they served in the lobby was awful. The coffee in the room was much better.

Review 76:I received a cheerful, friendly greeting when I checked in, and again in the morning when I checked out.

Review 77:The bathroom fan was permanently on and quite noisy, which disturbed sleep.

Review 78:It looked like new and is very well equipped, extremely comfortable bed, large room and we were able to walk into town to eat in the evening.

Review 79:Would better if they offered some kind of breakfast.

Review 80:The beds actually looked as good as the picture I saw on the website (unlike many other places). The indoor spa was nice and lobby was welcoming.

Review 81:The most important thing to me is a comfortable bed and the Cody has one of the most comfortable hotel beds that I've slept in, similar to the beds at the four points sheraton hotels. The decor is charming and the staff is friendly. Other is no breakfast but the price is reasonable enough that it's not a factor. Highly recommend this hotel.

Review 82:Cody in itself was an unexpected pleasure after leaving Yellowstone. The Cody Legacy was a charming hotel with the typical log furniture in the rooms and lobby. The receptionists were very helpful and I would definitely return here on our next trip.

Review 83:Located within easy driving distance to Cody's tourist amenities and across the street from a major mall and grocery complex. The rooms were comfortable.

Review 84:even for a quick visit of the town itself you will have to take your car and in the morning they don't offer you a breakfast nor do they recommend a nearby place where you could go...

Review 85:a clean place with spacious rooms. Guest laundry is well maintained and kept clean. Bed is good.

Review 86:No breakfast facilities. No safe. No elevator. Not enough value for money.

Review 87:Location and appearance of main hall. Well maintained and clean. Staff was kind

Review 88:Night staff didn't even make eye contact with you! Would be nice if it had a morning breakfast option. Also would love a refrigerator with a freezer section in the rooms so cold packs could refreeze.

Review 89:The woman working the desk during the day was awesome. Friendly, informative and efficient - who could ask for anything more! My daughter loved the hot chocolate in the lobby!

Review 90:That I didn't stay longer!

Review 91:The rooms are fantastic - really clean, big and lovely. The bed was particularly comfortable. Good location on our way to Yellowstone and the hotel offered everything you'd want - I'd definitely recommend.

Review 92:Next to lobby and wooden staircase, so room was quite noisy when guests were arriving and going up and down to pool. No light went on when we entered and switched on the lightswitch. Three small lamps on individual switches. Had to keep curtains closed due to proximity to parking lot and front entrance and no sheers to privacy during day. Promised fruit and breakfast bars were unavailable. Front doors did not have automatic openers which made brining in luggage problematic and no luggage carts available.

Review 93:Very clean, comfortable bed. Large room.

Review 94:Was not happy that we booked for 4 adults and 2 children, but were given a room with only 2 queen beds and no couch to pull out. Not sure why your program allows this to happen, but we ended up having to book an additional room. I'm sure happy that there was another room available, or I'd of really had something to be unhappy about. The larger fridge size is nice, but not having a freezer compartment is inconvenient.

Review 95:Very clean and roomy accommodations. Proprietor worked with me to get the best price I could for the extra room we were forced to use.

Review 96:Had to spend first 2 nights in older room, due to my own error in booking. Not nearly as nice as the main hotel, but still clean and comfortable.

Review 97:Visited over July Fourth and really liked the staff, room in the main hotel, and location. Love the history too. People there treated us like family.

Review 98:The only room available was a handicap room so it did not have a dresser, which was problem since we stayed for 5 days. Otherwise all was great.

Review 99:The room was spacious, the beds wrte comfy and the staff were friendly and helpful.

Review 100:Last night we stayed, young children on floor above were up running around all night

Review 101:Having a room with a refrigerator, pleasant staff and not located in the downtown area

Review 102:No breakfast is served which is surprising given the room rates. A coffee bar is provided in the Hotel Lobby for coffee and tea, it would have been an easy thing to do to provide pastries and fruit as a quick breakfast?

Review 103:Cody Legacy Inn and Suites is a comfortable Inn and is an excellent place to head too for a peaceful nights sleep when traveling. Cody is a great stop when traveling to Yellowstone National Park and has both charm and character (unlike Deadwood). Visit the excellent museum complex while you are in Cody, it is extremely well done.

Review 104:We were on the ground floor and hear alot of noise from above. View from window was not good and pool was hard to find. Lobby did not open until 6 in morning and we wanted to be on road early. Would have preferred all night lobby.

Review 105:Room was clean and bed was pretty comfortable. We had two beds and one was much better than the other.

Review 106:Cost is much too high for a hotel with no ammenities besides a "heated" pool which was cold, and hard cookies with coffee/tea/hot cocoa which was only available when staff was there, it appeared there is only one escape route once staff left for the night and locked fire doors behind them. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Review 107:Cleanliness, location

Review 108:There was no continental breakfast. I suggest at least having some granola bars or muffins, not just coffee and juice.

Review 109:Not knowing what to expect because we have never been to Wyoming. This hotel was the perfect place to stay.

Review 110:Cost!! Fan on in bathroom all night. No one at the front desk for 6 hours. Inside doors locked. No breadfast offered for price...

Review 111:Nice furniture...

Review 112:No breakfast the milk in the fridge was sour and smelt awful and was never replaced despite a couple of requests to staff. The fan in the shower is a nightmare if never switches off.Ok for one night but look elsewhere if you intend staying more than one night.

Review 113:The location is good close to shops and the rooms generally clean

Review 114:1) For the money, I would have stayed at a more affordable chain. 2)Also, the location of the hotel sent in confirmation was NOT where it was. Took a bit of driving around to find it.

Review 115:No breakfast facilities so had to drive into town to find an eatery. Kept awake most of the night by people in the room above ours stomping and running around - not the fault of the hotel, just inconsiderate residents!

Review 116:Yet another lovely hotel on our trip. Clean, spacious room and friendly staff.

Review 117:No breakfast.

Review 118:Good staff, very clean, nicely appointed room.

Review 119:A breakfast would have been nice.

Review 120:Slamming of doors. Bed too hard for King bed

Review 121:Price point

Review 122:Doors bang loudly when shut. Mornings are a constant banging starting at 6 am

Review 123:Wonderful Motel with friendly staff and rooms which were large, comfortable and extremely well prepared.

Review 124:Staff was extra friendly. The room was amazing clean and comfortable.

Review 125:No breakfast and pool is outdoors.

Review 126:Staff was wonderful and very helpful.
