Reviews for Beartooth Inn
Review 1:The first day of my 2 days stay there was no batter for waffles. The next day this was corrected. Outside door electric lock didn't work. They suggested that it was probably frozen. I didn't understand why they didn't offer to give me another room (which had a working lock) out of the many other empty rooms. I was left with my choice of carrying my bags from the lobby down the very long hall to the next to the last room, or carry them through the snow arround to the side of the building and access the door at the end of the corridor.
Review 2:Check in staff not cordial and had issue of late check out request from online because might have to pay housekeeping longer. Increased rate by $10 because spouse joined me and thought I was lying when couldn't find tv remote.
Review 3:Hot tub area was clean and had sauna but no light n floor was wobbly.
Review 4:Plaster falling off of ceiling in bathroom, paper falling off in entry way, door wouldn't shut very good to outside of room, weather was bad and a group of mine couldn't make it and they charge me a no show, they had called early, then the owner said he charge me 54.00, and charged me 74.00. Stayed there couple times before, well he made 74.00. Never be back now, what did his greed cost him?!!!
Review 5:It had outside plugs for truck
Review 6:They need to light their access driveway from the freeway better as it is hard to find in the dark. They are on the far end of town so you have to drive a bit further but the price and quality are worth it.
Review 7:The check in clerk took the time to make sure we had rooms close together. I loved the fact that the room had two doors. One opened to the parking lot so loading was easy and the other opened to the hallway so we could be warm when we went down to breakfast. We could park next to our room. They had free wifi that was easy to access. The rooms were clean and comfortable. We compared prices to other hotels in Cody and this is the best value for the money.
Review 8:In the morning time, no staff was shown up, bunch of customs couldn't check-out. Nobody answers the phone on the front-desk either.
Review 9:Good location and fair price in Cody.
Review 10:The soda machine was broken. A repairman should be available on demand when something doesn't work.
Review 11:We were pleased the room looked like the ad on the website. We appreciated the breakfast. The staff went out of their way to get me a can of soda because their machine was broken. We liked the Veterans Memorial next door.
Review 12:Washer was a bit choppy....started in mid cycle but dryer just fine. No fruit available at breakfast.
Review 13:Warm and gracious reception. Extremely helpful with restaurants and local interests. First class breakfast... hot and cold. Best coffee ever! Met Abe Lincoln as my next door neighbor at the motel...@
Review 14:Nothing we don't like about this place. We've stayed at the Beartooth at least a half dozen times and have never been disappointed.
Review 15:Manager was very pleasant, even offering to help me bring in my luggage. Great location outside of the crowded and much more expensive tourist zone in Cody. Free breakfast included waffles and biscuits and gravy.
Review 16:Our only regret was that we did not book another night so we could stay for the festival the town was having that weekend. "Boot-Scootin" something or other...
Review 17:I liked that the place was a little out of town, so it was quiet. Beds were comfortable and everything was clean. We used this as a place to rest after our days at Yellowstone. We did go into town for dinner and found some nice places there. Our drive down Chief Joseph Highway from Mammoth Springs was relaxing and beautiful. It is a drive not to be missed.
Review 18:Whose day we arrived (10 Pm )the receptionist ,she was a real helpful .Next day morning during brekwast I was wery surprised ,the lady who served at the kitchen was wery rude, directly was upset when ask her a question or ask her about something missing, bread etc.The next morning a guy was exectly the same.
Review 19:A hour travel time to Yellowstone east gate.
Review 20:TV...couldn't access most channels. Mgr eventually came to my room...some disagreement about what was going on with my TV...at one point, as I was sitting in my pajamas, he "invited" me to go to another motel if I wasn't happy with the Beartooth Inn! Imagine.
Review 21:Large room very clean big tv screen good wifi AND IT IS LIKE THE ORIGINAL IDEA OF A MOTEL: YOU CAN PARK BY THE DOOR TO YOUR ROOM!!!!!!! And there is another door to the inside of motel from the room.
Review 22:The room door to the parking only opened from outside. The room door to the corridor didn't lock from inside, we had to put a chair against the door at night.
Review 23:Close to the airport. Confortable and spacious bedroom. Regular breakfast.
Review 24:Staff was unhelpful and not very service oriented. Breakfast was not replenished in a timely manner so you were not able to get what you were expecting. When we asked about this the staff was not responsive. Also we were not able to contact anyone when calling on the phone. The address that we used on our GPS was not accurate.
Review 25:Clean room and comfortable bed.
Review 26:They didn't have any water to buy in any of the vending machines. Needed to drive to a gas station a couple minutes away.
Review 27:Great value. Comfy. Nice place
Review 28:It was a bit of a way outside of the town so had to drive rather than walk to get to a restaurant or cafe for evening meal ,breakfast was very limited
Review 29:Room was clean and had a comfortable bed. There was a small spa pool and sauna near the reception area
Review 30:It is close to the airport and they were willing to pick me up late at night and drop me off at the airport early in the morning. The rooms were very clean. I stayed there twice.
Review 31:The room smelt. .Servicing the room did not extend to making the bed. There is only a small whirlpool not a swimming pool. The gym fixtures did not work.
Review 32:Comfortable bed,good shower
Review 33:No swimming pool only a sauna. Continental breakfast was not as good as advertised.
Review 34:Room had a front and back entrance. It worked well for us, easy to upack. Could park in the back and walk straight into our room. Was very helpful for my 85 year old father.
Review 35:Unfortunately if guests do not come back to get there clothes you just have to wait. Also even after 45 minutes on high in the dryer only the lightest of clothing is dry.
Review 36:This well priced motel had everything we needed for our one night stay. It also has an inside spa and laundry facilities for guest. Would stay here again.
Review 37:Although the room had been cleaned the Bedsheets did not appear to have been changed on one queen bed, found hairs when pulled back top sheet!
Review 38:Large room with plenty of space.
Review 39:During the day hours there's no one at the front desk.
Review 40:Loved the two doorway entry, one from the parking and the other from the hallway. Also liked the idea of having the parking assigned in front of your door.
Review 41:small and old fashioned rooms, beds not very comfortable, washing basin open in the room, old equipment in bathroom, very basic breakfast, super small area for dining
Review 42:Provided with a room with a broken and insecure external door. Property is run down and desperate for general maintenance. It's bad when power points are loose. Breakfast room too small for the number of guests. Staff impersonal. Payment finalised before checkout. Just a poor experience.
Review 43:Nothing much at all.
Review 44:Overpriced for what you get. It was not awful, just a place to rest your head. $80.00 per night would have been a better price.
Review 45:Location was close to major roads.
Review 46:Not exactly a bad experience, but it was as close to Yellowstone as we could get. I even booked 5 mos in advance-my bad- and it was still $150 per night! Supply and demand, I guess.
Review 47:See above
Review 48:Room was not vacuumed. It was non smoking rooms but we found cigarette buds on the floor. Second day only bed were made and we found ourselves without towels and room was not vacuumed.
Review 49:it would be very helpful if the person checking you in could speak a little English language. the hallways were littered with trash, I don't think they had been cleaned in several days.
Review 50:the city, nothing about the hotel
Review 51:Very old and not kept clean. I immediately remove bed the bedspread because it was obvious that it hadn't been washed in a while. I went to plug in my phone charger and behind the nightstand and headboard was disgusting. Very old mattress. Dirty carpeting.
Review 52:That we had a place to stay the night.
Review 53:breakfast was somewhat chaotic on 2 of the 3 days with large numbers of people in a small space. The problem was probably the guests rather than the hotel as many were pushing to get as much as possible.
Review 54:The rooms were comfortable staff were pleasant and the location on the edge of Cody was quiet
Review 55:The hotel was fully booked - the breakfast room was simply not large enough to accommodate the 30+ individuals. The buffet was not set up to allow easy access to breakfast items. Food was simple, but good. On checkout, we had a request concerning our bill, but the front desk had no one who spoke English, the manager was at another hotel across town (30 minutes away).
Review 56:The hotel was outside of Cody, which made it very quiet and relaxing. Very easy to get to, ample parking, room was very comfortable. The manager was kind enough to assist us in taking our bags to the second floor (no elevator), and one of the housekeeping staff assisted us in taking them to the lobby for checkout. The hot tub was a nice place to relax, as was the sauna. No pool....
Review 57:I didn't appreciate housekeeping turning our ac off everyday. If I'm paying for the room I'd the room temperature to be what I want.
Review 58:The location was perfect for our plans.
Review 59:Our three rooms were supposed to be non-smoking. One had a lingering very strong odor of smoke the others smelled slightly. The rooms all felt damp and uncomfortable. We were basically told there was not another room available and if we didn't like it we could leave. Since by this time it was one a.m. We just dealt with it- but my brother had a miserable night in his 'smoking room' and the management did nothing. An apology or a small discount would have gone a long way!
Review 60:Not a thing!
Review 61:Room 106 was assigned to us. We brought to the clerk's attention that we smelled a very strong odor of SMOKE. One of us had major medical issues and the smell is a detriment. The clerk said it was not a smoking room but some type of room fragrance/deodorizer. She would not hear of our complaint and went about her business. We went to the store and bought room spray plus left the window open to air it out. There were numerous cigarette burns on the carpet. The carpet was dirty you could see stains in a dark burgundy color carpet. The base of the bed had not been properly vaccumed because dirt/trash was noticeable at the base of the bed. The bed is very old, must have been over 10 years old because of discoloring and stains in the corners. Arm chair had a major stain like someone used the bathroom while seating.
Review 62:O.k. on breakfast.
Review 63:Unappealing, un-clean entrance. Common areas need refurbishment. Towels in our room were not always clean. Reception desk was not always staffed. Phone and hair dryer in room did not work. Duvet covers were old and not recently laundered.
Review 64:We liked the town of Cody; we liked NOTHING about the hotel.
Review 65:Nothing negative to say, not sure about the breakfast because we didn't look at it to see what they had or eat there.
Review 66:Great location, clean rooms, good sized rooms. Staff member that checked me in was very friendly. Liked that it was not on the main street of town, but still very close to everything. We were there during the 4th of July, so we were glad not to be right in the middle of everything because we had a long day of traveling and wanted to relax that night.
Review 67:No elevator for upper floor. Desk person not very friendly. Can't comment on breakfast as we had to leave early. Overall happy with motel.
Review 68:Clean, quiet and comfortable.
Review 69:Entire hotel smelled of smoke even though we had non-smoking rooms. You had to walk through the smoke filled downstairs in order to get to the non-smoking rooms and then the smoke smell came through the air-conditioner.
Review 70:Breakfast was great. Loved the make-it-yourself waffles in the free breakfast provided by the hotel.
Review 71:Supposedly what I booked did not have a king size bed as stated on my booking.com receipt. The desk made some changes and we got a king room. Someone used our room to dial into during the night. Desk was to check that out.
Review 72:quiet. was surprise at having both an indoor and outdoor door. makes it easier to keep your vehicle in view.
Review 73:Very weak WiFi, was never able to connect. Room on 2nd floor, no elevator. Had to drag luggage up stairs,
Review 74:Clean room, friendly staff, adequate breakfast. Korean War Memorial was very cool as well as view of lake.
Review 75:No lights to read by near the head of the bed, no butter or cream for the coffee in the breakfast area, and our door was hard to unlock.
Review 76:The price, easy access, and a good night sleep.
Review 77:There was no coffee in our room, nor was the coffee pot cleaned the 2nd day. The breakfast was less then typical. No fruit but they had canned pears. The breakfast room was very small with only one waffle maker. Coffee was never good the three days we were there. There is no lighted sign for the driveway. Very hard to find at night. The wake up call is computer generated and didn't work. That could have been our fault.
Review 78:The beds are good and the room is clean. The price was good for the days we stayed.
Review 79:Breakfast room is small with little to choose from, but in this tourist trap area it was what you get for the price. There was a dirty sock in the room and a cap from shampoo or something in the shower.
Review 80:I had a problem with the reservation. Booking.com said the manager would not help. When I arrived he said booking.com did not contact him for help. He took care of the problem. If booking.com say they are working for you...don't be so sure
Review 81:Coffee pot not filled in central area. Manager upset the motel was full and he was to busy. Breakfast area not appealing so ate at nearby Macdonalds
Review 82:Price - only thing I liked.
Review 83:Bear tooth Inn was a great little place to stay. Good value for your money. Wish they had a more private hot tub area where not everyone can watch from outside the hotel. Misplaced my wallet and staff held it for me at front desk. All money and cards still in tact. There are still good people out there!
Review 84:Feds and bedding were poor. Pillows were cheap and uncomfortable. There was a hole in the door and we had to stick a face cloth in it. Worst hotel I've stayed in. Counter man speaks English but with a thick accent that was impossible to inderstand. NOT WORTH THE MONEY
Review 85:Location
Review 86:Always smelled like someone was cooking garlicky stuff. Man who checked us in was unfriendly. Breakfast could use some fruit!
Review 87:Beds comfy. Quiet location. Close enough to town center.
Review 88:Our room was stinky and filthy. Mold in bathroom. Dust and dirt. Surprised there wasn't bedbugs. Possibly the most uncomfortable bed known to man. A cold cenent floor would have been better. Breakfast items were stale. Female desk clerk was unfriendly. This was rated 3.5 stars...really?
Review 89:Old motel style furnishings and bedding. Very minimal cheap soaps, etc. Breakfast mostly sweet and starchy.
Review 90:Nice pretty location back from the road in an open area just a couple of minutes from the center. Lakes and mountains in view. Ground floor rooms have both individual outside entrances and interior hallway doors.
Review 91:There were no negatives from our perspective for this facility, except that our Garman directed us to another motel rather than Beartooth despite entering Beartooth's address.
Review 92:Host was welcoming and warm with great suggestions for enjoying our stay. Made us want to plan a return trip to Cody! WiFi was excellent and password protected. Beds and Room were well supplied and comfortable. Greatly appreciated parking adjacent to room and outside entrance nearby. Best motel experience of our trip!
Review 93:Nothing that we know of. :)
Review 94:How you could back up your vehicle to the door, and walk out other door down the hall to breakfast. The great service that was given, making us feel at home and a place to do laundry! Definitely will stay again and recommend to family and friends! Thank you for a great stay! See you soon! :)
Review 95:I really like this hotel, and we have stayed here several times. The breakfast could use improvement. I wish there was a variety of fresh fruit, and more selections offered. The waffles are good, but the biscuits and gravy are not even worth trying. When I have asked for different oatmeal, or requested items to be refilled, the staff seems very impatient, and quite frankly very put out. But, we do like staying here and there are many other positive aspects.
Review 96:The beds had new mattresses that were so comfortable for a great nights sleep. Room was clean and smelled fresh. Nice thick bath towels and daily room change. The management was very accommodating, pleasant and personable. Good waffles for breakfast. We will definitely return. A great value!
Review 97:It was very difficult to find in the dark because there was no lighting on from the highway into the parking area and we turned into two wrong drives before finding the right one.
Review 98:The price of the room and the cleanliness of the room and the entire facility
Review 99:Far for dowtown Quite dirty under and behind the beds and furniture The jaccuzi was not functioning Breakfast was not very good (the wafles had a strange taste)
Review 100:The sauna!
Review 101:Vending machines weren't working and not labeled as out of order. A few ate my money & clerk wasn't very helpful at first. It was very frustrating. Getting a $3 refund took longer than checking in. After watching me struggle with the machines near his desk he came to my assistance & it took him over 1/2 hour to get 3 bottles of water from 2 machines.
Review 102:Quick easy checkin, clean & comfortable room. Only stayed one night
Review 103:1.Breakfast was a mixed bag. Gravy for biscuits was cream of mushroom soup! 2.Front desk was a mess. Offered to help me up the stairs with my bags, and then stood there and let me do it, gave a horrible recommendation for dinner, and basically seemed lost.
Review 104:The room was quiet and clean.
Review 105:Everything was fine, had no complaints at all.
Review 106:Our stay at Beartooth Inn was very good. The staff there was very accommodating with everything. The room was very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was good, with plenty of food available.
Review 107:I was pleasantly surprised with the very nice accommodations for the price. The rooms were large, the beds were very comfortable, and the breakfast of waffles and biscuits and gravy more than we expected!
Review 108:Nothing
Review 109:Great place to stay while visiting Cody , nothing to complain about.. Only breakfast room very small so not enough space for everyone when busy..breakfast adequate for a quick bite before hitting the road.. Would stay again.
Review 110:My priority is a comfy quiet room that has had no smoking and no animals in it since I have asthma. Beartooth Inn will remain my preferred hotel for my visits to Cody, WY. Another plus of the Inn is that it has internal hallways which makes it feel more secure and quiet as guests move into their rooms.
Review 111:The mattress was very uncomfortable. The breakfast left much to be desired. I was part of a family group coming together to remember or late sister. We wanted to gather in the breakfast area was I was rudely informed that it was cleaned for day and was closed. The next day, a different staff allowed us to use the room. I will not stay here again.
Review 112:In spite of specific request for adjoining rooms, we were booked acrossthe hall from each other, I don't know what I would have done if Iwere traveling as a single parent. Manager would not talk to us-not even"hello" unless other people were around. We got the distinctimpression even well-behaved children were not welcome at this hotel.
Review 113:Rooms were quiet. Good breakfast, but limited quantities. Very nice andcomfortable beds, but housekeeping could vacuum under the beds.
Review 114:Washing machine didn't was well our cloths. The dryer didn't dry the cloths, they came out completly wet.
Review 115:Wifi was very good Three beds for 3 people (we were expecting 2 double beds) Nice breakfast
Review 116:There needs to be better lighting out front near the driveway or entrance to the Inn. It would be nice to have a larger breakfast area. It was difficult to move around and there was not enough seating.
Review 117:It was on the edge of town so it was quiet, yet close to everything including Yellowstone National Park. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The gentleman at the front desk was very nice.
Review 118:Nothing if you want a 4-5 star place, go else where. If you can handle a Quality Inn W/ breakfast this is the place to go.
Review 119:Dollar for dollar was happy.
Review 120:the breakfast options were limited and coffee was weak. The window air conditioner did not cycle and had only one fan speed.
Review 121:Location of hotel was good, the room was clean and staff helpful with dining recommendations.
Review 122:Quiet room. Easy access first floor options...park the bike or car right out your room door. Staff was courteous. Location made for easy access as it is not right in the "thick of things".
Review 123:Need to fix their address on the web. When keyed into GPS it took us to a Taco John.
Review 124:On site laundry was a wonderful plus. Friendly and accommodating staff. Easy check in and check out.
Review 125:I really liked the fact that you could pull up to your room and there was a door right there. There was also a door to the main hall. So you could enter or exit from either door.
Review 126:I travelled for 3 wks...stayed at 12-15 motels.my opinion ......serviceattendants were courteous but didn't give extra effort...breakfastwasn't up to standards of Wyndams where we usually stay. Overall wewere quite satisfied.
Review 127:Cleanliness...courtesy of attendants
Review 128:I booked this room months in advance and requested a handicap accessible room for my 83 year old mother. Not only did he not care about putting us in a non ADA room but it was upstairs and NO elevator! He said do you want it or not? I will not go there again nor will I send anyone else. I am also thinking about turning him in for violating the ADA.
Review 129:The Beartooth Inn was a very clean and comfortable hotel. The property was just a short drive to the main area where there are many restaurants and bars. We stayed here due to the hotels proximity to Yellowstone National Park, which can be reached in about an hour from this location.
Review 130:The exercise equipment needed to be replaced and the breakfast selection could use a little more variety.
Review 131:The staff were friendly and helpful and the property had an easy to get to location ,but far enough away to be quiet.
Review 132:The room was dirty. There was a plastic bag and other debri under the bed and something sticky on the nightstand. The deadbolt didn't work. When we tried to get breakfast in the morning, the room was full of people, but there was no food left. I would not expect a palace for $69, but for $130+ I would have expected better. A motel room should always be clean!!!
