Reviews for The Cody
Review 1:Although kind of a high end property, some basic elements for daily life are missing such as enough clothes hangers. Atmosphere in the reception area cold. Noise insulation of rooms lousy: hear every step of people above.
Review 2:Relatively comfortable room. Close to town.
Review 3:Absolutely no hitches in our stay Room was comfortable with a fabulous mountain view Ken went above and beyond in accomadating our needs Shuttle service was great
Review 4:No dislikes.
Review 5:A lovely hotel, great facilities. Good choices for breakfast with proper crockery and cutlery, rather than disposable stuff. Staff were friendly and helpful, offering good advice on places to eat. Beds were comfortable; tea/coffee facilities provided in the room.
Review 6:It was a nice clean hotel with friendly staff. Beautiful & unique decor, cozy as soon as u step into the lobby. Higher priced than the average hotel. But for our one night stay I found it doable.
Review 7:View on to blank wall outside room. We felt it was very expensive compared to the other places we have stayed at and felt that a 'hotel should offer on-site restaurant or bar snacks for residents to buy.
Review 8:Area adjacent to hotel where you could walk dog. Small terrace outside room. Lovely soap, shampoo products.also loved the bare naked biscuits and cookies on arrival .
Review 9:Non ironed shirts. They looked slept in. Dislike dogs in motel and sniffing at welcome biscuits.
Review 10:Great service at desk, shuttle bus, pool, gym, bfast staff knew info about park, big rooms.
Review 11:The only I did not like was that when we checked out the man checking us out was not friendly. he never once asked if we enjoyed our stay or anything he seemed very angry or just didn't want to be there. this put me in a grumpy mood. not a nice guy there
Review 12:Loved the décor and the friendly staff. Our room was very comfortable. the towels were actual towels not sandpaper. Breakfast was really good. (and if you don't believe me the lady that puts it together will let you know that the cody puts on the best breakfast ever over and over again) They did a camp fire out front one night and there were smores. we didn't go but could see a lot of people attending and having a great time What a great way to get others to meet. Just loved it and we will stay there again and again
Review 13:Breakfast room too small for the amount of people using it, basic typical Best Western style breakfast with plastic cutlery !!
Review 14:Good swimming pool, jaquzzi and sauna
Review 15:Our Maps navigation guide messed up on the address, although we did find it.
Review 16:All the staff were knowledgeable and friendly. We really enjoyed the attention to details. It was also a good location for easy access to both Yellowstone and downtown Cody.
Review 17:The Cody is by far the best place to stay in Cody, Wy. It is well worth the money. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. The staff are great as well. They went above and beyond for us, letting us check in to our room at 10 am as we had been camping in 50 degree rainy weather the nights before. The views are also great from certain rooms. Location is perfect. Breakfast is decent and the decor is excellent in the dining room. Definitely do not miss the nightly rodeo which is just across the street.
Review 18:If you see a tour bus in the parking lot, know the breakfast room will be very over-crowded. Tables too close together further impede the flow. The wall between the breakfast room and the business center should be removed to give more room for seating and to enhance the flow of the people waiting in line. Crystal performed an excellent job with service in the breakfast room.
Review 19:For a Yellowstone and nearby area family vacation, we booked three rooms for 8 nights at The Cody. The hotel is furnished in a western style with large sitting areas to the right and left of the lobby that we used to gather the family in the mornings before heading out and evenings to choose a restaurant to go to. The Cody rooms were clean and the beds comfortable. The complimentary cookies in the evening were always enjoyed when we arrived back at the end of the day. The breakfast was nice and the hostess Crystal got us off to a good start in the morning with her warm welcome and conversation on the days the room was not over- crowded. Although the rooms over-looked a storage building, one evening there were three deer munching on the tree leaves right below our windows.
Review 20:Upon entering the spacious Western themed lobby(including a piano)I was greeted by a most pleasant desk clerk. He was helpful answering several questions I had about the area and Yellowstone Park as well. He recommended an historic restaurant quite close down the street for a simply incredible steak dinner. The bonus was that it included a live Western band that Sat. evening. It was filled with locals from 21yr.-70+ enjoying Country Western dancing. Our room was plush for the price compared to the standard Hampton Inns we had been staying at while traveling cross country from VA. The breakfast was more extensive than most hotels with real silverware & plates; no paper. The decor was like a Western Restaurant you would be having dinner in rather than a quick breakfast. I took pictures! My 27 yr. old son was quite pleased with the fitness & pool area he utilized. I did notice they had a large facility for travelers to do their own laundry. Off of the lobby entrance was a huge "living room" area with massive Western style furniture, mirrors, bar area, leather sofas, and mountain views from the windows. It was so lovely I took several pictures of the lobby so I could always remember how special a hotel I began my Mother's Day 2015 in
Review 21:The only bad thing was the view from the balcony. It was of the top of the storage building next door. There are probably better views from other rooms. Be sure to ask at the front desk.
Review 22:Loved the room and property. Beautiful lobby, friendly staff and comfortable bed.
Review 23:Long way from centre of town. Need vehicle to get into town. Bit overpriced compared to other accomodations on our holiday in the U.S.
Review 24:Lovely place with hospitable staff. Check in staff member gave good recommendation for dinner. Nice big room. It's near a Walmart for any supplies.
Review 25:The bed was too high as I am only 5'7" tall. Had to literally climb in. No ice machine on the 1st floor.
Review 26:Very nice and also very helpful and friendly staff.
Review 27:The guy doing the breakfast the second morning was not friendly nor nearly as efficient as the gal the first morning.
Review 28:Friendly desk personnel. Cleanliness was outstanding. Woman doing breakfast on our first morning was wonderful! The entire staff spoke fluent English...this may sound strange but 2 weeks ago we stayed in a hotel in Orem Utah and MANY of the staff only spoke and understood Spanish!
Review 29:So long as you didn't need any thing fixed, you were good. LOL! The frig did not work the day we arrived and 5 days later it still didn't work. They replaced it two times and it still did no good. The last night we came back to our room and found it had no heat! We were told we could move all our stuff to a different room if we wanted. We were leaving the next morning so we just bundled up. We didn't have small kids so we survived.
Review 30:The room was cozy, the pool and hot tub were awesome, breakfast was better than most. Even offered some gluten free alternatives. It was very nicely decorated for the Christmas Holiday. Nice fire place and great places to take pictures.
Review 31:Nothing. We didn't have kitchen facilities but did appreciate having a refrigerator.
Review 32:The breakfast. Having a balcony to get fresh air. The lobby was great! The big mural picture of the Two Bills.
Review 33:The view to the west was really nice. The balcony was a super touch. The decor was unique and very appealing. Overall a great place to stay if in Cody.
Review 34:Mature couple. Asked for 1st floor - got top floor. Asked to be by elevator. Got placed as far away as possible from elevator. Asked to be near our friends. Got placed distantly away from friends. Bed was a mile in the air with stairs!!!!! Given to a senior couple!!!!! Staff was totally indifferent to our senior requests.
Review 35:OK breakfast. Quiet.
Review 36:Location. When we travel we like to check into the hotel and walk to dinner/activities. Code did not allow that
Review 37:Facility was very clean and the room was well appointed.
Review 38:the beds were hard, which some may like. the breakfast bar was very mediocre for such a beautiful place.
Review 39:made with top notch wood, granite, etc. and lovely decor touches.
Review 40:Room could have been cleaner. Lots of dust in vanity area. Scale in bathroom looked like it had not been moved or cleaned behind it in a few weeks.
Review 41:Atmosphere was great. Dining area exceptional. Outdoor fire pit inviting.
Review 42:We did not ever have enough towels. The second night we only had two and there was five of us. The coffee pot was not cleaned for our second day and the coffee was not refilled. The couch bed was not comfortable.
Review 43:The beds were comfortable. The pool hours were great. Breakfast was good. The air conditioning was good. The room overall was nice and it was clean when we got there. The common areas were very nice. The business center was good.
Review 44:Nothing negative at all!

Review 46:Right price, great location, great facility.

Review 115:Not so central location but the Hotel solved it with very nice shuttlebus service.
Review 116:Very nice and serviceminded staf. Very nice Hotel.
Review 117:Breakfast room was a little small but I believe they have plans there, and I didn't get the sink stand in the bedroom, why are they not in the bathroom ? Finally, I can't understand why no bar area for guests to gather and mingle in the evening before heading out.
Review 118:The Cody is comfortable hotel a little away from the hustle and bustle of down town, giving its guests a quite retreat after a long day. The staff get every thing done with minimal fuss and as stand outs my favourites were Travis at front of house, always helpful and always smiling, nothing was to much trouble for him. And then Kenny on the free shuttle bus, what a character, had me laughing every day.
Review 119:Need fruit on the breakfast bar! Even canned fruit would be better than nothing. We were off-season so perhaps it is not cost-effective?
Review 120:The staff was extremely helpful. Room had nice set up and was clean and comfortable. Hotel has many amenities and close to activities and points of interest.
Review 121:It is on the edge of town, so meals require a trip in the car. I wish they'd had a restaurant or even just room service.
Review 122:Excellent customer service, lovely furnishings.
Review 123:no maid service during our stay, not advised of short staffing during our stay, no ability at front desk to adjust price
Review 124:Beautiful and inviting lobby
