Reviews for Buffalo Bill Cabin Village
Review 1:Well, we had to go to the holiday inn for ice because theirs was broken, should be fixed.
Review 2:the info that the maintenance manager told us about and how prompt they were to assist us in receiving a refrigerator.
Review 3:The wifi was spotty at best.
Review 4:The size of the family cabin was great. We traveled with our three grandchildren and they were comfortable as well. Nice swimming pool.
Review 5:My cabin was close to the highway so I would recommend getting one farther from the roadway. The fence did not reduce the traffic noise.
Review 6:Location was convenient and not far from the main attractions in Cody.. Cabins for one person were small but served the purpose. Rooms were clean.
Review 7:Beds and pillows were not comfortable. My wife went to use the hair dryer and could not. I looked and found small pieces of glass in side of it. Very odd. Almost as if someone intended for the fan blades in the hot dryer to break up the glass and expel them on whoever was using it. Maintenance promptly replaced it. Also, the ceiling fan made too much clanking noise.
Review 8:It was a unique experience for my son. Staff were very friendly.
Review 9:The cabin smelled horrible , musty smell never went away. Had to buy air freshener and still didn't work good thing we only slept there and were out all day.
Review 10:The room was clean, staff was very nice and helpful.
Review 11:I fell getting into the pool and messed up my tailbone on the cement. The reason for this was that that the steps were not anchored properly. It was really scary getting out because the steps felt like they were going to pull right out of the cement!!
Review 12:No bad experience, we were on vacation, had a great time.
Review 13:Quiet, great having access to the pool for the grand kids, close to down town but not in the downtown. Just a great place to stay. Your shop is very interesting also. Will return to Cody, found it to be a nice place to visit.
Review 14:The cabin needs a window blind to eliminate the flood light coming from the other cabin with its doorway facing the window to the one I was sleeping in... I had to use two long bath towels to get some darkness...
Review 15:Comfort yes, staff yes, clean yes,
Review 16:my request for handicap/disabled room was not honored. my elderly parent had to step over a curb, walk through gravel and onto grassy area from parking spot behind 2 cabins to room, not easy for him!
Review 17:Arrangement of bathroom between the two bedrooms. With 6 of us, it was just a bit inconvenient not to be able to move thru the cabin whenever someone was using the bathroom. On the bright side, the bathroom was very nice, recently redone with all new fixtures.
Review 18:Comfortable family cabin able to accommodate family of 6 with 3 queen beds. Recently updated and very nice inside. Access to the Holiday Inn outdoor pool. Welcome reception in the gift shop with complimentary snack and drink. Parking right next to the cabin makes it easy to get luggage to and from vehicle/cabin.
Review 19:Bad that windows don't open, so had to sleep with very loud air conditioning going all night. Kind of weird to have a bunch of cabins on a parking lot, could have had more ambiance.
Review 20:Loved how quaint room was decorated and cute gift shop and lobby. Very glad to get a suite.
Review 21:Small, dark room...full beds not queens, housekeeping staff knocked and woke us at 8:20 am and entered without waiting for an answer.
Review 22:Friendly staff, convenient restaurant, room and bathroom clean
Review 23:WiFi was a little weak.
Review 24:The staff is awesome! They called me the day before our arrival for details on my family an when they learned my kids were 16 they put them in their own cabin at no extra charge. Excellent customer service! The Cabins themselves were clean and comfortable with excellent cable TV, beds, and showers. A great stay all around.
Review 25:no frig, a little cramped getting everything in and in convenient place.
Review 26:reserved parking. When returning to cabin you knew you had a place to park right by your cabin.
Review 27:Room had little black bugs (alive)on floor. No WiFi in cabin. Motorcycle club party was loud but not out of control. Wife was not happy they chose to pee outside of cabin facing her. (They probably didn't see her).
Review 28:Older lady that checked us out was very nice.
Review 29:Wifi was not working even after asking on two separate occasions to get access, staff was unresponsive and did not care. Other people staying there said the same thing.
Review 30:rooms were ok just for sleeping, no sitting area. bathrooms were clean.
Review 31:Didn't care for the location. Squashed in between other businesses making it hard to find and created parking problems since we were pulling a trailer but quickly resolved.
Review 32:Loved everything about the cabin. Beds were so comfortable. Two separate sleeping rooms so our teenagers had a room of their own.
Review 33:Just a little sad about the pool.
Review 34:Fabulous cabin with lots of beds, towels and two separate rooms. We loved it. Too bad the pool was outside and closed.
Review 35:No breakfast after paying almost $200. WiFi was weak and slow almost unusable. AC was very noisy and you couldn't have it on if you wanted to hear the TV.
Review 36:Very nice cabin with parking included and access to many of the main hotels facilities.
Review 37:Bedrooms could use a refresh. Tub/shower creaked because of improper installation. Tub taps were mixed up - cold was hot - hot was cold. Laundry facility would have been great.
Review 38:Location was great, the cabins cute and a little funky. Very fast wi-fi. Wonderful staff. Nice free parking next to cabin. Cute little rabbit hung out right outside our cabins.
Review 39:The cabins were old, run down, & cramped. They were kind of cute on the outside but even the outside was getting shabby. The bedroom had very little room but the bathroom was somewhat spacious. Our bathroom tub creaked like it might break. There was no room for toiletries. The air conditioner "kind of" worked. We jokingly said we thought this was a step above camping out!
Review 40:Not much! We did get to use the pool at the hotel close to the cabins. The check-in staff was nice & helpful.
Review 41:Location is a little weird but not a factor when you are in your cute little cabin.
Review 42:The ladies were friendly and helpful. They went out of their way to help us with a special request. Beautiful remodeled bathroom with a large granite countertop and large shower.
Review 43:Very tricky to find. Hiding within the property of two other hotels.Kept driving in circles using my waze app. Thought it cheezy that abreakfast bar was not included especially for the price paid.
Review 44:Cabin was cleverly arranged. Fun decor. Good location to walkMain Street.
Review 45:You might consider installing a curved shower curtain rod to give a little more space in the tub.A small vanity table next to the sink would be nice. Fiber glass tub was a little "creaky".
Review 46:Nice and clean, very comfortable bed, quiet location. Very nice to have a real room key for a change!
Review 47:Wifi was not working. (Lots of packet loss, some signal issues). The cabin was old and it shows. A/C was noisy (I had to shut it off over night)
Review 48:Bed was comfortable. It was really quiet.
Review 49:I thought the air conditioner was very noisy and didn't put out a lot of air. The bathroom was tiny and the toilet was a bit tight not much elbow room from wall and sink.
Review 50:I liked that it was your own little room. and it was just a simple room with a bath and small table with two chairs. We had a King bed and it was comfortable. It was a different experience than a regular hotel. It was clean. you could have the use of the Holiday inn swimming facilities which would have been fun if we would have know that from the desk clerks. We didn't read the pamphlet until the next morning.then it was too late.It did have air conditioning but it was noisy.
Review 51:I booked on Booking.com wrong address had a hard time finding where to check in. Would be better if there was a cement step going into cabin and a screen door.
Review 52:quite, Table and 2 chairs in room, overhead fan made good air circulation. Employees all very friendly.
Review 53:The water pressure was really low, making it difficult to shower quickly. My GPS didn't clearly indicate where the cabins were located. We needed to stop to get directions.
Review 54:The split bedroom plan worked well because we were traveling with older children. The location was close to all attractions. Loved the rustic cabins, they had plenty of charm and character.
Review 55:Noise from adjacent shower room. Noise from buses, cars and motor bikes coming and going Early morning and night.
Review 56:Clean and comfortable, but. Many cabins and traffic noise unavoidable. Only stay in a detached cabin.Semi detached have bathroom, shower rooms adjacent and noise is dreadful.
Review 57:Two bedroom cabin with a bathroom in between had no exit door in the back bedroom, which is not a problem with young children but the adults found it weird.
Review 58:This is not your usual accommodation and thats what makes this special. We all loved it, the older and younger of us. It was v clean and had all the necessaries. Great location for Cody and a bus from the hotel next door, takes you to the rodeo for a small charge.
Review 59:airconditioner was kinda noisey, but no big deal.
Review 60:cabins were cute, cozy and comfortable. excellent location. wonderful staff-cheery and eager to help!
Review 61:Very expensive for a cabin without breakfast, located in a kind of parking lot surroundings.
Review 62:The cabin look is nice, beds are good and the matrases comfortable, location is good, staff is friendly.
Review 63:There was only 1 bathroom in the middle shared between 2 bedrooms. While someone was using the bathroom, he had to lock both doors, and there wasn't space or shelf in the bathroom for putting our stuff on. The air conditioners in both rooms were very noisy that made us hard to sleep well.
Review 64:The location was ok.
Review 65:Both inside and out was clean and friendly. Staff was at cabin to check out and fix minor problem within 3 minutes! Small but very comfortable and the location was good, quiet but easy to go anywhere. We were traveling as a couple with my mother in law and since it was at high high season prices everywhere near Yellowstone are at the max. Decided to try it to spend less , and we will now recommend it as a hidden jewel.
Review 66:We were disappointed to find that our room was NOT ready when we arrived (3:00pm). We were told it would be 30 minutes...after 30 minutes we asked again and were told another 30 minutes. My husband gave a disappointed look, they immediately changed their answer.... presto...another room was ready...hmmm amazing!! Accomodations in that area are a bit pricey. I guess it is understandable considering the proximity to Yellowstone. Wish there would have been more economical places to eat in the area. My advice is (with any hotel/motel) definitely read customer reviews so that you know what you are getting into.
Review 67:The cabin-like atmosphere was quaint. Definitely different from the cookie cutter hotels/motels you have to choose from. Would have been nice if the Village would have offered a free continental breakfast. That is always a favorite of my family and it wouldn't cost the hotel much. I knew this before booking but, DON'T expect this to be a cabin in the woods....they are in town.
Review 68:we stayed in a family cabin. when you use the bathroom the back bedroom is locked in the cabin (you have to go thru the bathroom to access the back bedroom). it would have been nice to have seating outside the cabin.
Review 69:cabin was clean, great value for the price
Review 70:A very noisy air conditioner above our heads forced us to turn it off, open the window and live with it. The cabin had a VERY strong odor of "air freshener" which actually bothered my breathing. It didn't go away despite the open window. Maybe to hide some 100 year old odors?
Review 71:Cute and "kitch".
Review 72:the Wi-Fi was not very efficient the bathroom could use some vanity space....no room for your toiletries at all
Review 73:we liked having our car right next to the cabin the room was clean and comfortable the location was perfect
Review 74:The office was a little difficult to find. Based on your photo, which is the Holiday Inn, we did not find the motel office right off. The cabins are behind the Holiday Inn and easy enough to find
Review 75:Cabin was updated and well kept. Convenient to downtown Cody
Review 76:the second bedroom was behind the bathroom and my brother and his wife couldn't get out without disturbing our parents in the front room, this was not explained on the website, bad design
Review 77:fun decor
Review 78:If you have issues with sharing a restroom and having no privacy that will be a problem. Even that I was with my family the restroom in between the bedrooms was a bit of a problem!!!!! No privacy at all!!!!
Review 79:Bed are comfortable and room is clean, staff is really gentle and helpful!!!
Review 80:it was dirty, like the walls and pillows. we bought our own pillows and pillowcases at walmart because they looked gross. the front office people were angry. idk i payed a lot of money (179) for one night and i didnt get what i expected. should've just payed the extra 30$ and stayed at the holiday inn. for that amount i also expected a fridge and microwave.
Review 81:cozy-ish, i was able to find somewhere to stay ><
Review 82:Its at a busy intersection
Review 83:Loved the cabin "experience" and the separate rooms for the kids! Staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating. We had an issue at the restaurant for dinner (waited 15 minutes after being seated and our waitress kept passing by), they comped our dinner and wanted to comp our breakfast - we said no, dinner was more than enough!
Review 84:Layout of cabin with bathroom in the middle between 2 rooms. Ice machine was very far away. Inadequate number of parking spots. Staff couldn't initially find my reservation because they had put my name incorrectly in the computer and were all mixed up on what day it was. They were not willing to help figure out the problem either.
Review 85:Spacious cabin. Good location. You can use the pool at the adjacent holiday inn.
Review 86:Air-con is a bit noisy.
Review 87:Located in the quite center of Cody, easy to access to the town. Next to Holiday Inn, sharing the pool which is a plus to a cabin resort.
Review 88:We did not like the smell. There was a smell in our first room of armpits and heavy deodorizer that even with a heavy fan and door open we could not air out. When we moved to our second room in the morning we found two little blue pills on the floor by the bed. With small children, that was a big concern to me. They could of put them in their mouth. I also did not like that the bathroom was between the two rooms. The pictures and description of the cabins does not state that. One bathroom for two rooms was not very good. The smell we later found out was very heavy outside the cabins, however it sips into the room and it makes it hard to get comfortable. I also was not pleased to find out that this is a business that claims to give military discounts and when asked for it they tell ya "not today". The truth is they don't. Picking and choosing when you thank our military did not sit well with me, being a veteran. Be honest and just say you don't give military discounts. Our Active duty men and women do not deserve to be turned away at the desk after being told you do something and than not follow through.
Review 89:I like the three beds for the family. The locations was good and the area was kid friendly.
Review 90:Just beautiful! Pat is such a great hostess! She was very informative on what to see and do while on our trip. We had a wonderful time. We'll be coming back for sure!!
Review 91:Cabins are cute but very small. A little tight for a family of four.
Review 92:Friendly, helpful staff. Right in the heart of Cody, WY. Within walking distance if shops and restaurants. Cute little cabins to stay in.
Review 93:This was perfect for my family. I am a small business owner who travels with my children in the summer (6 yrs & 9 yrs). A two room cabin gave me the perfect set up for the kids and I to have a comfortable place for us and for me to keep my work separate and they could stay out of it. They loved Billy Buffalo and the beds were super comfy!!
Review 94:No shampoo or conditioner. No amenities. No breakfast. Room was cramped for space. I felt $172 was way overpriced for this basic room. All other hotels on our trip gave us a 10% AAA discount. They said they couldn't when we asked.
Review 95:Cute cabins. Beds comfortable. Clean.
Review 96:had to park a distance away from room. Tub had hair in it.
Review 97:liked the decore
Review 98:Not what I expected!
Review 99:Only on entrance One room needed to go through second room to get out side.
Review 100:The mattresses and pillows.
Review 101:it was very hard to find the office and get to the cabins.
Review 102:Filthy smell of the rooms
Review 103:Location
Review 104:Great customer service
Review 105:The cabins are great. Great location
Review 106:Cramped room, very noisy.
Review 107:Bathroom in between two bedrooms - need to plan your "movements."
Review 108:Same owner as Holiday Inn next door. Access to facilities, we think.
Review 109:Very rude staff.
Review 110:None.
Review 111:It took 2 calls to get the air conditioner replaced.
Review 112:Everything was good.
Review 113:Easy to locate
Review 114:I thought it was an interesting and unique experience to stay in a historical site. The cabin was extremely clean and nicely updated
Review 115:The cabins for 6 persons is not that comfortable.
Review 116:Close to the center
Review 117:Tiny room
Review 118:It was very small.
Review 119:Very clean and affordable for a quick stay. Staff was friendly and helpfull.
Review 120:Put in smaller room second night no room to set except bed fan an air very loud no breakfast for price of room not good
Review 121:Staff
Review 122:No fridge or breakfast.
Review 123:Everything else.
Review 124:Short walk to everything. Comfortable little cabin and privacy. Beautiful clean pool! Very friendly and helpful staff.
Review 125:The light and freeway noise was unbearable
Review 126:The room was exceptionality clean
Review 127:Air conditioning was substandard.. Noisy and did not cool off efficiently
Review 128:Convince, quiet, parking, staff and rooms
Review 129:WiFi did not work
Review 130:Convenient to museums
Review 131:Noise and door locks didn't work well
Review 132:Staff was helpful
Review 133:Clean, comfortable, great location, more private than a traditional hotel. Love the cabin feel with all the qualities of a full service hotel.
Review 134:It was very difficult to fund using our GPS and the signage was not adequate.
