Reviews for Muzikafe Bed & Breakfast

Review 1:It's all great, but there are some things that have to be said. The room has no safe (I don't need it), no minibar (I don't want it), no television (I don't... wait, what?!?). But you have a radio, cards for Uno and the board game "Do not get angry, Buddy". Wifi is good, but cell reception is lousy due to the thick walls.

Review 2:It's refreshing! A nice place in the center of Ptuj.

Review 3:Can't think of anything, very good value for money.

Review 4:Very friendly and helpful service, nothing was too much for them. Excellent coffee – one of the best. Would not hesitate to stay there again, somewhat funky, little bit different

Review 5:More fruit selection at breakfast would be a small recommendation.

Review 6:Muzikafe was the most uniquely characterful accommodation I have had the pleasure of staying in. You can tell that the owners put heart and soul into it. The place is a treasure trove of beautiful photography, artistic pieces and funky furniture. It breaths life and no wonder it is a focal meeting point in the town of Ptuj. The music plays and draws people inside. We stayed in room no. 7 which has a kitchenette, couch and table. The room is beautifully decorated in bright colours and quirky furniture. We loved it. The cafe has cinema seats with each set uniquely decorated. The cellar hosts musical events and has a real soulful feel to it. It is a special place to stay in the whole of Slovenia.

Review 7:Nothing absolutely nothing

Review 8:Though difficult to sum up the delights of Muzikafe in two or threesentences, foremost is the care given to welcome guests with a family-like warmth that never intrudes on your privacy. Next, I suppose, wouldbe the place itself: stylish, artistic interiors, perfect terrace forconversations and fine dining (be it cappuccino, pinot noir, or repas),a savory breakfast catered to your pleasure, and a location at the heartof a city immersed in poetry and wine. In fact, in the Days of Poetryand Wine Festival 2015, the owners helped fashion a street, beside theirmagnificent B&B, honoring the poet Tomaza Salamuna with recordingsof him reading his poems in English, Slovenian, and French fromwaterproof loudspeakers. Staff are cultured and creative in answeringyour needs, and even the owner's parents work to make the placememorable and are as easygoing as their son. The owner's wife alsodoes costume design for live theater, and her creative choices areevident everywhere. Throughout the year are musical evenings andreadings in a space just right for performer and audience to interact. Ican honestly say that I've never stayed anywhere so memorable, especially during the Days of Poetry and Wine 2015 when it was a corevenue. When you wonder about Muzikafe B&B, just think joie de vivre!

Review 9:Wish they had live music during the week but it is low season. Would love to be there when the downstairs bar is open

Review 10:Awesome location and artistic design. Love the outdoor bar and courtyard. A real haven in Ptuj with excellent staff and good wifi connection.

Review 11:This is a special place with the most wonderful decor you will find anywhere. The attention to detail that went into decorating the cafe, terraces, rooms even hallways must be seen to be believed. And the hosts are absolutely charming. Don't miss out on staying here if at all possible.

Review 12:Rooms were quite small and didn't like the bed pushed against the wall.

Review 13:Quirky hotel with a lovely atmosphere and good location for visiting Ptuj. Breakfast was a work of art!

Review 14:It is located in the old town which is very good if you want to explore the town. However, the old town is quite far away from the railway station. If you had no car, it would be a bit harsh to take the luggages to walk.

Review 15:I like the decoration and the feeling of the house. And the breakfast is a surprise!

Review 16:This place is a gem. Very unique. Great decorating. Staff was fantastic. Breakfast was wonderful! Breakfast was best we have had in all the many hotels we have stayed in over the past three weeks!

Review 17:Nothing at all.

Review 18:Beautiful rooms that made me feel like at home, young and professional staff and just really nice people. Igor and Stanka, the owners, are really lovely people and spare them for conversation whenever they can. The breakfast plate presentation is a work of art, you must see it!

Review 19:Nothing to dislike

Review 20:It is a relaxing place with wonderful staff who always have time to talk and help. The décor furnishing both indoor outdoors and private rooms is stylish and individual. The rooms were very comfortable and easily accessed. Breakfast was a delight again with personal service. Located in the centre of Ptuj it is an ideal place to enjoy the sights in this remarkable town. From a cultural point of view a bit like a Slovenian Ronnie Scots in London. Look forward to returning.

Review 21:You simply cannot have a bad experience here!

Review 22:A gem of a place. Great location, ample parking, hearty plated breakfast. Excellent rooms. The best place to stay in Ptuj.

Review 23:Can't think of a single thing

Review 24:Exceptional B&B: one of the best we ever stayed in. Warm colors, beautiful and well appointed room & bathroom, great breakfast, Excellent staff (who gave tips for dinner and ice cream), great terrace with drinks & cakes, nice breakfast... we were sorry to leave!

Review 25:nothing

Review 26:we loved everything, the quirky layout, personal touches, fantastic breakfast, central yet quiet location; room was very comfortable and clean; would love to go back

Review 27:Great bed, very clean, recently refurbished, in the town centre in a quiet street, free parking, friendly staff, good coffee. The best B&B I've ever spent a night.

Review 28:Nothing.

Review 29:Room was clean, comfortable, colourful and interesting. The staff were lovely, willing to help, friendly and cheerful. The place is full of interesting books and hosts music, poetry and theatre. A very positive and enjoyable stay, I would definitely stay at Musikafe again!

Review 30:The breakfast is perfectly decorated (and served) but the choice is limited.

Review 31:The hotel's design is outstanding and the service we got from the staff was just excellent. Free parking next to the hotel.

Review 32:We very much appreciated the concept of this B&B. Music, poetry, books, interior design, building & it's history, location, nice owners - all that makes this place unique. Worth to spend at least one night in this lovely place, wish we would be able to stay longer....

Review 33:Really friendly staff, and a great atmosphere. My room was very bright and individually, quirky but stylishly designed. The cafe's really popular and friendly.

Review 34:Nothing. Everything was perfect. No complaints.

Review 35:Delightful small hotel in quiet location. Charming staff did all they could to make your stay as comfortable as possible. Free parking. Delicious breakfast. Perfectly placed for sightseeing.

Review 36:no TV (but you dont´t need it), would like to have the litter away ev´ry day

Review 37:nice Hotel, nice environment, interieur is very special, breakfast is small but very good, nice and friendly staff at reception

Review 38:Breakfast was very poor (but very well decorated, in line with its architecture). The room has not enough space for luggage. Beds were uncomfortable. Misses a TV. As a consequence I consider the hotel expansive.

Review 39:The decoration of the hotel is very original and very nice; it has a personalized architecture of the interior which makes it hardly forgettable. The location is very good, inside the old part of Ptuj.

Review 40:The shower was a little small and the stylish tap was a bit noisy and not that easy to use.

Review 41:The décor at Muzikafe is simply beautiful! Each room has character - decorated with impeccable taste - and is both practical and comfortable. The staff is really friendly (down to the house cats!) and the breakfast is delicious. My partner and I only spent one night there but would have loved to stay longer!

Review 42:There is a need for a bin in the kitchen area

Review 43:This BB is perfectly located very near to Ptuj’s center and main attractions. The entire place is beautifully decorated and the rooms are warm and cozy. The breakfast is very elegant and delicious. The staff is kind and helpful.

Review 44:Bit more kitchen utensils in the kitchenette would be nice.

Review 45:Atmosphere of the place (rooms and cafd( is great, rooms are lovely and clean. Breakfast is nice.

Review 46:Rooms with windows leading to the square are rather noisy on a warm summer evening... But there´s probably not much that can be done about that. ;o)

Review 47:Great service, location, design - the whole concept and its implementation is wonderful! Most friendly staff and overall communication.

Review 48:No breakfast buffet.

Review 49:Bright and colorful rooms, nice big terrace, parking space was sufficient, staff was friendly and helpful. Oh, do try their selfmade cocktail!

Review 50:Situated in easy and short walk to all sites in old city Parking beside accom Terrace wonderful place to sit and drink or read and decor fun and unique

Review 51:Was ecxellent

Review 52:Nothing

Review 82:Everything. Great value.

Review 83:Very interesting, funky decor. Lovely courtyard.

Review 84:Funky Nice rooms Staff

Review 85:Very nice place.

Review 86:Beautiful accommodation. A place you don't want to leave

Review 87:Air con was not all that effective. Bed a bit hard.

Review 88:Friendly helpful staff. The location - right in the middle of the old city in walking distance from the castle, the river and lots of good restaurants. Spacious, clean and nicely furnished room. Good lighting. Nice shared lounge and kitchenette downstairs as well as a small but adequate kitchenette in our room.

Review 89:There was nothing we didn't like but just a couple of things that could be improved upon. The breakfast is perfectly satisfactory and good quality but the choice is limited. The staff are helpful and efficient but the personal touch was slightly lacking.

Review 90:We didn't like this place, we loved it. Our room (no. 7) was spacious (I believe it is the biggest room) and comfortable and the decor was wonderful (colourful, original and imaginative). The outdoor terrace and the indoor cafe area were lovely relaxing places to spend time. Close to everything in Ptuj (but Ptuj is small so that's not so difficult!). Easy parking right outside the property.Really good value for money.

Review 91:One of the greatest Hostels you can find in ptuj! quiet neighborhood, comfortable and clean rooms, tasty breakfast and nice stuff (two lovely cats also live there)

Review 92:Our triple room was fantastic and very tastefully furnished, the staff were very helpful and the breakfast extremely tasty with very good ingredients. There was a place to store our bicycles safely. Everything was perfect.

Review 93:Had a really nice stay in this B&B. Staff is helpful, room is cute and location really central. Breakfast was excellent. Really cosy place, feels like home.

Review 94:Location is great but you need to keep an eye on the GPS as mine had trouble, I think because the hotel is to some extent in a pedestrian zone.

Review 95:Friendliness, funky style of hotel, staff. Excellent breakfast.

Review 96:The city is an up and coming tourist spot but the hotel is spot on with meeting all your needs. Its clean, comfortable, free parking in the center of the city, great breakfast, friendly staff. I could go on, it was just a great hotel for a great price.

Review 97:As frequent traveller I would like to say that many 5 star hotels are poor comparing to the Muzikafe in Ptuj, Well done keep this level and will see you again

Review 98:Very friendly staff. Were willing to prepare me an early breakfast because I had to leave early. Very good atmosphere with nice music in the background. Enough space to park the car. Location in the centre of Ptuj.

Review 99:A difficult place to find and the locals also had trouble directing us.

Review 100:This is in a really good location, right in the centre of the "Old town" and the people and facilities were very good too. Parking adjacent was also very good. Thank you!

Review 101:Simply everything was to our satisfaction. The location is in the heart of the city. The rooms are absolutely beautiful and the staff is wonderful. Don't even get me started on the cutest breakfast on the planet:) It was an absolute pleasure staying here.

Review 102:I wish they served dinner, but there is a good pizzeria a five minute walk away.

Review 103:Wonderful hotel, my family and I enjoyed our stay quite a bit! It's right in the downtown of Ptuj. The wifi is excellent. The breakfast is your typical European fare.

Review 104:We were disappointed with the town of ptuj itself. It was ok, but we were expecting more somehow, as it was billed as a really nice old town, which is just our sort of thing. It was quite shabby and quiet and we went to other towns in Slovenia that were old, nicer, with more to do and more attractive. Castle and the minorite Church were nice.

Review 105:Decor was unusual and really interesting, breakfast was good, especially for a cafe that doesn't serve food! (Which seems to be normal for Slovenia) great atmosphere, nice outdoor space to sit and chill. It was good that there was a small kitchen area for guests to use.

Review 106:Impeccably clean little hotel very tastefully decorated. Completely IKEA furnished. Very polite young staff. Tasty breakfast. Fantastic central location.

Review 107:Such a relaxed and laid back place to stay / drink if not using their accommodation. Really friendly staff who did not try to focus any blame on me when our booking wasn't quite right - I had originally booked a twin then modified that booking for same dates but a larger double, but they had no record of the modification - thankfully I had my booking confirmation so they managed to get the room i wanted and also agreed the quoted booking price could stay the same, at no point trying to infer I was at fault.Breakfast was amazing - so prettily laid out (which is not how I usually describe breakfasts but this has to be mentioned) - lovely soft and hard cheeses, hams salamis, plums and hazelnuts, different fruit each day, gorgeous bread and coffee tea juice etc. The owner also offered to make us some scrambled eggs but I was too full. The room (room 6 - 5 & 6 are the same price and size) was excellently decorated, with large brightly painted pegs on the wall, a novel and cute way to hang your clothes, an immaculate bathroom and shower cubicle, very comfortable bed and large soft pillows. There is a well equipped kitchen and seating area on a kind of mezzanine floor with a fridge for all to use that was mostly empty during our stay, at the beginning of July. The courtyard at the back was very peaceful and relaxing but equally as mellow to sit at the front. The inside of the cafe is also very well decorated but as it was such amazing weather we only got to sit in at breakfast.Great music alway playing - sadly there were no gigs or concerts when we were there but i had a quick sneaky look in the basement cellar bar and it looked great.
