Review 1：Rooms are a little tired and need some decoration, and could have been cleaner. Staff where awful. Electricity shut off for a whole day, no prior notice on check in or on the day, so was unable to use my room until 16.38. On my first night tried to order drinks and dinner, sat a table for 40 mins trying to get attention while 8 staff where involved with making cocktails or on their Mobile phones. Next day returned to my room 3 times during the day, no housekeeping visit or room made up ( in the end as wanted an afternoon nap, I did it myself ) - The main concern of the male staff is fishing and sitting around on their phones, no welcome, poor service and lots of noise (again young male staff ) early in the morning. Bed was rock hard. - Not value for money, will look at other hotels for my next visit.

Review 3：Staff was really dissappointing. Rooms were very dirty. There was a bad smell coming from the toilet. AC wasn't working. Thanks god it was not that hot. The kettle in the room wasn't working. Breakfast was terrible. We went to other places to eat. It was really the worst holiday we had. We had to pay a tax regarding protecting Koh Samet's Natural Life. There wasn't any information before we go there. Why didn't you put it in your website? It is an island. We need to be prepared.

Review 5：please get the treadmills set up. somehow let guests know in advance when half of the lobby is being torn down for rebuilding although from our room, somewhat away in the south wing, we couldn't hear the machinery.
Review 6：very relaxed atmosphere and very helpful staff at every turn. surprisingly good food for a resort with a kajillion dishes to juggle both for breakfast and throughout the day. the pool bar was kitschy but pleasant.

Review 11：I don't like the staff which will not take care of guests upon request even for a new towel or small table at balcony while other rooms nearby is provided. No any feedback after requesting something (even negative or any excuse attitude). I feel like we were ignored while staying there with the value of money we paid for a night...they should be do better but why not???

Review 16：Far enough away but just a moments walk to the beach. Staff were polite and one even walked around asking people if they had lost a phone as one was found.
Review 17：Thought it's close to two beaches it doesn't have it's own sunbeds near the sea, so you have to pay rent. Breakfast does not have any variety. Rooms are clean, but the bedding and towels look worn off.

Review 21：The rooms were dated, the cleaners were rubbish and the air con was noisy. In the second night, a large group of Chinese were staying over. We felt awfully segregated and the service really suffered.

Marketed as a 3* Resort Hotel someone should look into this as it was definitely 1* at best. Staff not interested in guests and breakfast was an invitation to food poisoning. Food left out for hours with no covering cold and uninviting. One very much to miss.

Review 32：Beds were hard, half the lights in the bungalow didn't work and the aircon compressors outside were very noisy at night every time they cut in. The pre-cooked eggs at breakfast (which were cold) were inedible and a simple fried rice dish at lunch took 45 minute to arrive and only after making our displeasure known to the staff. Even accepting we stayed in the peak season this was poor value for money.

Review 38：- We could hear the bass from a nightclub that wasn't even in the same bay. We think the sound must have traveled along the water from the bigger beach further north. Maybe the units closer inland wouldn't have gotten the sound. - The beds are very firm, which is somewhat typical for Thailand. I found a massage on the beach was a great antidote. - The resort is a one-minute walk to the beautiful white sands of Ao Wong/Vong Duaen, but technically the closest patch of sand seemed monitored by the neighboring resort - Samed Cabana. We didn't realize this until the 3rd day when we were asked to pay 200 THB to use the beach chairs or 125 THB even to use our own blanket in the sand. The Vimarn Samed should negotiate some type of deal with the neighboring resort.
Review 39：- We booked a bungalow with the sea view. Beautiful, gorgeous, amazing to wake up to the view of the water and distant islands. - Ao Wong/Vong Duaen was the perfect beach for us. Peaceful beach occupied mainly by older couples and a few families with young kids. Enough variety to eat at different places for lunch/dinner. Night time dining right on the beach with a few fire show performers.

I stayed an extra night purely for the fact that I wasn't ready to leave paradise behind just yet! Staff were friendly, my cottage was clean and the breakfast was decent. Review 46：Ziemlich alles bis auf die Aussicht. Konnten Hotel nicht finden, war nicht ausgeschildert. Wurden dann vom Taxifahrer abgezockt (350 Baht für 400 m)."Superior"-Bungalow total heruntergekommen und schäbig. Klimaanlage war so laut dass man weder fernsehen noch schlafen konnte. Badezimmer HORROR: kleines Loch als Abfluss in der Dusche (starker Geruch drang empor - möchte gar nicht wissen welche Tiere da ohne weitere raufkommen könnten). Toilettenbrille schmutzig und kaputt, musste ich erst selber reinigen. Matratze extrem hart, Laken schmutzig u gelöchert. By the was hatten wir Bettwanzen was ich erst bei Abreise bemerkte. Eingangstür schloss nicht ganz, weshalb wir Moskitos im Zimmer hatten. Frühstück ekelerregend!!!! WLAN funktionierte nur im Eingangsbereich des Hotels, auf Zimmern gar nicht. Generell sehr stark verschmutze Insel ( trotz Nationalpark)

Review 48：The pillowcases weren't clean and the room - unfortunately as per about everywhere else on Koh Samet - was overpriced. There was a blatant attempt to overcharge us for our lunch at this establishment and we left with the distinct impression that this was routine. The entire tourism industry on Samet is pretty much a scam. On the nearby beach, we were actually told twice to move on, even when only standing in the shade, and this in what is - theoretically - still a national park (and after paying an admission fee to boot...)

Review 104：Resort is run down, staff doesnt care and it seems there is no manager in place; there are only some young boys mostly sitting around and playing with their phones. The resort is getting into a bad shape, everywhere is some garbage and broken items. The breakfast ist a joke, same poor items every day. Definitively this resort could offer more value for the money if it would have a passionate manager in place. I would not recommend this resort; best on this beach is the VongDuen Beach Resort or even better is Samed Villa Resort on a beach little more north. The whole island is an ecological environmental catastrophe...full of garbage and waste residuals from constructions debris to plastic waste and others. The governmental agent is asking money as soon you put your foot on the island, but is not taking care of this small beautiful place....

Review 111：Most negative is the party noise (disco sub-woovers)that originates from the main beach of the island, some kilometres away. To change this would require a policy/political action. Breakfast: the buffet is good. Meanwhile they also serve some fruits, and when they are missing you can ask and they come. The menue for dinner is a bit limited, and/or you would require more advice, which is not possible as the staff hardly speaks English. We still were happy enough to eat there one week.
Review 112：Wonderful location of the resort and the individual bungalows, nicely around the corner of the beach, but just a bit apart, and very close to the next beach; restaurant terrace and resort terraces beautiful; private terraces with sea view. All just perfect. Rooms impeccable.
Review 113：The place gives you the impression as if they are about to close. I have never been to such a run down resort. They obviously do not invest any money in maintenance. And accordingly you can expect some bad surprises. In my room, the key slot on the wall which gives you electricity only works if you scratch several times with the key through the slot. The tab in the bathroom was almost falling off, just like the toilet seat (I fixed the screws myself) and the soap or towel holder. Everthing is falling apart. Staff is very laid back. Do not really seem to care about the guests. Playing the same music every day. Breakfast very basic. WiFi very unstable. Never ever again will I go to this resort especially bearing in mind that they are not cheap.

I hope the boys have same rights as the Thaistaff. Thefood on the hotel was very good. We love to go to sleep listening atthe sea and sleep very well because there was no noice. The smallbeach near the hotel was very nice and clean. This is a place I likedto come back to.
