Reviews for Comfort Inn Downtown Cleveland
Review 1:Parking was extra and more than booking.com stated, no big deal, and I wish the fan in the bathroom was not connected to the light. I like to leave the light on at night, but the fan was annoying.
Review 2:I had a jacuzzi tub!!! Nice long counter in the bathroom and windows that opened. Nice and clean. I stayed somewhere else last time, but this price was better - I would stay here again.
Review 3:I didn't like that we had to pay extra for parking. It was not something that was stated anywhere when we booked so it was kind of a surprise.
Review 4:The staff that greeted us was so welcoming. The room we originally booked was not ready so they moved us to a room with a better view! They were very helpful and accommodating.
Review 5:Staff charged me twice for the room, not listen when I was trying to explain and show her the over charge. Refused to look at the bill. Had to call my bank and get it straighten out. Will not stay there again. Rude staff. I only stayed 1 night.
Review 6:Room was great,
Review 7:Wifi access was not so easy, it wasn't a huge issue, as I was pretty tired, & mostly used the room to sleep & shower. If I had been less tired, I might have tried harder to make the wifi work.
Review 8:Very comfortable bed, good breakfast, good shower. Hotel staff were nice & helpful, especially the guy who helped me haul all my bags from the car to my room.
Review 9:The bathroom was teeny and not big enough by a long shot. The carpet was old and did not look clean. The sheets and pillows smelled strongly of chlorox and taco chips...kept me awake. The air conditioner did not work properly so we were sticky hot all night. We got little sleep due to sirens, trucks and the loud music playing next door all night long. The room itself was small for the price we paid. When we arrived we were told we could have gotten it $50.00 cheaper by calling direct. Parking was not optimal and cost extra????
Review 10:Breakfast was a plus. The mattress on the bed was nice and hard.
Review 11:People smoking right outside the main entrance, pretty dated building but they made some attempts at upgrading the rooms. Just don't look too closely. The breakfast room was too small for the number of people there. Eggs and sausage gave me stomach ache for 2 days. Stick to the toast. Fitness Center is a joke. $159 for this hotel was WAY too much.
Review 12:Location is right on the edge of the theater district - but you don't want to walk one block the other way. We walked to the Arena and to 4th Street, and Ubered to the Hall of Fame and West Side Market. Despite a lot of bad reviews, the place wasn't bad. Staff was nice.
Review 13:The location was a perfect walk to the Quicken Loans Arena. The staff were very nice and friendly, and very helpful. The outside of the hotel looks a bit run down, but inside was just fine, clean and well kept.
Review 14:Hotel in general was very warm. Had to set a/c to 64 degrees in our room but even that didn't help. Also the cost was pretty high.
Review 15:Very easy access off of highway. Building looked dated but was clean and decor was nice.
Review 16:Nothing really, only thing we would of liked was a pool but no biggie we made do.
Review 17:The front desk staff was awesome, we arrived earlier than expected and didn't even bat an eye with checking us in early. They saw we were travelling with a very rambunctious toddler. We had a problem with our toilet upon arriving as well and was fixed Pronto. All I have to say is the staff here is great and comfort Inn is lucky to have them!!!!
Review 18:there was no wall on the bathroom and nothing special about the room. all the expense is just for the location
Review 19:close to the stadium. but you pay for that
Review 20:The entrance from the parking lot was actually a little confusing. The staff had a good sense of humor about clerical errors, although there was a mistake with the reservation, most likely on the user end.
Review 21:Staff was friendly and accomodating, rooms were clean, facilities were convenient. The parking lot seemed very secure.
Review 22:This place was perfect for a short 3day vaca! Irs nothing flashy but uts clean quiet and comfortable check in was fast and they gave us late check out for free since my flight was delayed this hotel has an older look to it but we liked it and will be coming back ! Its close to everything downtown we're big sports fans we came all the way from Las Vegas to catch the playoffs nba game we walked everywhere and got to see the mall the football stadium baseball stadium the rock n roll hall of fame and the huge lake downtown is very historic looking we loved it ! They are doing alot of construction it seems they are cleaning up downtown the people out there were great and very helpful the only bad thing is i was not ready for the weather it rained one day the next very very windy and then really cold the next day bring a thick sweater or jacket! cant wait to come back !!
Review 23:-Rude ladies in reception -Noisy neighborhood (police and ambulance sirens, music from cars) -Noisy employees yelling each other inside the hotel -Price of carpark was $7.5 during reservation but charged $9.5 -Bathroom tap and sink is not working properly
Review 24:Had one of the rooms with the doors that connect with adjoining rooms. This makes for a very noisy room where you hear the neighbors conversations as if they were sitting next to you. Ask for a room with real walls!
Review 25:Staff was nice enough and rooms are well kept
Review 26:The cost of the room I booked online was not the price I paid. I have a debit card that I use for online purchases and only put enough on it to cover the room as stated online. They contacted me saying my card was being declined. I needed a $50 deposit that had to be paid plus the room was actually more than your website. I had to add an extra $60 in order to reserve the room. If I had known I would've went somewhere else.
Review 27:Nothing that the hotel could influence: very cold outside weather and lots of snow
Review 28:Good breakfast, very comfortable bed, location very convenient to Playhouse Square (only 2 blocks away)
Review 29:When I call they said I didn't have to put a 50.00 deposit on the room if I paid by credit card, I paid by credit card still had to pay a 50.00 deposit.
Review 30:The staff was nice The location to downtown is good.
Review 31:Continental breakfast only til 9:30. We were up late and barely made it to the lobby for a quick bite.
Review 32:It was a good price and very close to theaters and restaurants. We only wanted a clean place for the money and got that.
Review 33:Could hear almost everything going on in the rooms next to us through the walls.
Review 34:The bed was the most comfortable bed we have ever slept on in a hotel. Good location. About a 3-5 minute walk to playhouse square.
Review 35:Dirty bathtub Toilet ran continuously Black hairs in food at breakfast bar $10.00 to park added to bill $5.00 to park if not staying at the hotel, same lot with attendant
Review 36:Location for us was good Staff was nice On site parking with attendant
Review 37:Very old hotel bathrooms very small breakfast didn't look good wi if very slow
Review 38:Close to downtown attractions very close walking distance to all stadiums about 10 min
Review 39:The elevator was old and slow.
Review 40:Well priced and good location. Walking distance to Rock Hall and Cleveland Browns Stadium. Closeto Starbucks and Subway.
Review 41:Towels were not cleaned from previous guess as evidenced by Dirt and other stains. Toilet broke had to fix myself, found whiskey bottle in water chamber.
Review 42:Good location to downtown
Review 43:Position: very close to bus stops and Cleveland State University. Room: confortable, very spacious, with a lot of facilities Staff and housekeepers really helpful.
Review 44:Hotel is a bit dated but not enough to stop me returning
Review 45:Comfortable beds and able to choose from soft/hard pillows. Great choice for a buffet breakfast as there was hot food available which we didn't expect. Great location.
Review 46:First no air condition in the hallways. It was so hot. In MY room it took 1day before the air condition cooled the room. And we had to keep it on 60 degrees. No Pool as advertise.
Review 47:Breakfast
Review 48:I liked that there was parking on site, yet it "felt" quite tight in the garage.
Review 49:Staff was great & the dog could stay w/ us! Good location for activities.
Review 50:The parking was difficult and incredibly tight to fit your vehicle into the cramped spaces. Also the wifi cut out a lot, I ended up leeching from another free wifi in the building next to the hotel.
Review 51:The location can't be beat, right next to the theater district and walking distance (2km) to the Rock and Roll hall of fame. The included breakfast had a fair selection and the make your own waffle was enjoyed by both my kids
Review 52:We left too early to have breakfast, which was included in the price. it would have been nice if they could have given us a piece of fruit or some small thing (eg yoghurt) to take with us, in lieu (or reduced the price). I mentioned that we would miss breakfast, but they wouldn't help.
Review 53:Short easy walk from bus terminal (Megabus and others). Clean spacious rooms, excellent coffee-making machine in room. Fast and reliable internet.
Review 54:Breakfast is of very narrow and basic selection. The magnetic room door key permanently lost its opening feature so I had to come to reception a few times to re-work it. Was a bit of annoying exercise.
Review 55:Location, price, general cleanliness.
Review 56:Called before leavin home to assure I would have a place to park. Payed 7.50 to park and ended up having to go somewhere else to park because of the concert that we came for, and the only reason we stayed the night. Regardless, had to park in a lot for $20, walk to hotel, park, and back. Very disappointed for the amount of money I paid for the room- $189+. I could've saved money and got a cab or shuttle to a much nicer hotel.
Review 57:Closeness to progressive field.
Review 58:We found the carpet in our room stained and very dirty looking. The drain in the shower was almost blocked with hair so the drain had not been cleaned in some time. The street entrance was dark and dingy, not inviting at all.
Review 59:Parking lot was tough, but manageable
Review 60:Breakfast was gREAT! Bed and pillows were super comfy! Location was superb- walked to baseball game and the arcade and anything else you need in 5-7 mins
Review 61:The elevators were slow and a little scary. The parking lot attendant was pushy. Nearly all exterior noise could be heard in the roon.
Review 62:The rooms were clean and comfortable. Breakfast was good. The staff was mostly nice and knowledgeable.
Review 63:No pool, as a hotel guest you get charged $9,50 to park your car
Review 64:Friendly staff, close to the theater, breakfast
Review 65:The hotel needs updating, they are working on it.
Review 66:Close to Cleveland clinic, places to eat near buy. Have handicapped rooms, rates were good.

Review 76:It could have been a little cleaner & breakfast could have gone a bit longer.
Review 77:The staff was really friendly and the room was really comfortable.
Review 78:Internet is very slow, average typical breakfast. Room and halls very stuffy, neither not well vented
Review 79:Location, parking was very easy
Review 80:No water in the vending machines and for one night i feel like 150.00 a little steep
