Review 1：I did not like: the poor isolation of the room's walls, and of the window-doors, although they were double.....The horrible old carpets of the corridors, that have a look of 60s and are filled with allergic elements...And the fact , that the clients are obliged to ....pay extra money (!!) for the special swimming-pool robes and sandals!! Which , normally, had to be offered/found in each room for free...

Review 9：We couldnt get a massage appointment which was the reason for us to go to SPA in particular. They were fully booked during the weekend we stayed there. That was an unpleasant surprise.

Review 10：Facilities need to be updated. Our room was cold and noisy with car sounds. Less choice of dinner we stayed in the bar. We ordered panini and toasti which were burned. Photos can be misled. I expected a modern hotel but very outdated. Staffs speak little English.

Review 12：The hotel asked extra charge of 13 eur per day per person to use the Wellness Centre, which contained one room of sauna and one room of hammam and some exercising devised. The facilities in the Wellness centre were in a poor condition. and paying 13 eur extra in this was a rip off. One day we ordered food in the room. The food was cold and not so tasty, potatoes were undercooked. The buffet in the hotel cost 75 eur per person, drinks excluded. The price for room service was more reasonable but still quality of food was rather poor. in just 2 km from the hotel, in the city centre of Spa you can dine with a very good price in various restaurants. We visited Domino Stake House and had a great dinner for 2, with drinks included for 50 eur. The other day we went La Belle Epoque, were we had an amazing french cuisine with a very nice service and staff and we paid total 55 eur for 2 with drinks included.

Review 13：Room was good size, with big windows on the forest. We requested 2 baby beds which were provided and which had good mattresses. Room was clean, however during all days of our stay we had to request cleaning lady to come to clean the room. Having two babies with you one can imagine that garbage bins need to be cleaned every morning. Pool was good size, and water was warm in the pool however the room temperature in the pool room was not sufficiently warm given that it was - 5-7 degrees outside.

Review 15：The view to the lake, the spacious room, comfortable beds and all the necessary facilities. Breakfast was not very original but still good. The pool was of average size, not suitable for a long swim if there are more than two people in it.The walk around the lake and the many restaurants in the area.

Review 16：The fridge in the room was not working. The room was not cleaned up on time the first day. We returned around 4pm and we had to wait more for the people to clean our room.

Review 17：Very nice and big room, quite comfortable bed. The location is only 3 minutes away from the thermes. Staff was very friendly.

Review 18：I don't normally bother giving reviews but this place is so badly run I have made an exception. The staff are friendly and polite but poorly trained. They managed to mess up my booking telling me I hadn't booked enough rooms and forcing one of us to move rooms on our second night while simultaneously charging my card a full cancellation rate for the room I apprantly didn't book. The restaurant is poor, the bar almost twice the price of those in town and its a taxi ride into the town. Bizarrely Spa only has one taxi company with only two cabs, my advice is find a better hotel (not difficult) in town.

Review 19：Only minor downsides.The room didn't have obvious air conditioning settings and was warm in the evenings. The cooked part of the breakfast offerings wasn't to inviting. No English menu options on the specials menu.

Review 20：Easy to find on the way into Spa, situated in quiet, pleasant surroundings a mile or so from the town with good off road parking. Friendly staff and very good dining in the evenings although the cost can rack up if eating there often.

Review 21：One of our group was initially placed in one of the non-premium rooms to the front aspect of the building. He described it as "like a hotel room, only smaller". Upon complaint he was upgraded to the better sized room and all was well.

Review 62：Tragic reception. Only man is a great woman incompetent. The worst thing is the lady who can not speak out loud or really knows the program on the PC-tragedy. Stop calling your hotel "spa" because it is not possible for two days it was not possible to be a massage! On Sunday in Belgium apparently does not do the spa and on Monday morning I beg lady at the pool, a massage? Additionally, the pool itself and is responsible for massage? Thus sparing managers!

Review 67：We had a wonderful overnight stay at Hotel Spa-Balmoral to celebrate my husband's birthday.Everything was just perfect: a warm welcome at reception, a room with a fantastic view of the surrounding countryside and an adjoining room for our daughter. We enjoyed a swim at the hotel spa before having a relaxing drink at the bar and tucking into a delicious buffet at dinner. The staff were all extremely pleasant and friendly. Without a doubt, we will recommend the Hotel Spa-Balmoral to our friends as a wonderful venue for relaxation, tranquility and good food.

Review 68：Not my first stay but last in this hotell. spa was crowded and in bad conditition. Cut my feet in the outside pool. Rooms nice as usual but everything costs extra in this hotel. Pity, they have possibilities , unused ..

Review 69：Of the two overnites there, we experienced a windy nite and the sliding door and its molding raddled (needs attention). Need a clear sign on the door to where the pool is? Coming from the lobby, finding it was a bit confusing.

Had to wait 30 min at reception before I was helped out. - Requested a 3rd bed in room for my son of 6 years old: I received small baby bed - Not enough parking capacity , we had to park on road.

When wearrived it all looked a bit more oldfashioned then what we imagines.The room we were given looked nothing like the pictures I saw. When Ichecked online to see if I just didn't pay enough attention I sawthat this room was pictured but there's only 2 or 3 photos out or35ish pictures. When we complained that we felt a bit misleaded wewere given a bigger room. It was in the same style, still not what Isaw online. Review 109：The hotel is next to a very busy road, the rooms are poorly isolated so they are not at all quiet. The hotel information that it is in a quiet area is therefore rather deceiving. The rooms look rather 3 then 4 star, the same can be said for the service in the bar.

Taxis are approx 50euro from the town back to the hotel after a certain time a night.There is no shuttle service from the hotel at the weekends.
