Review 1：Every interaction I had with staff was painful and difficult. The inability of the customer facing staff to speak even the simplest of English was astounding for a large property with an overwhelmingly western clientele.

Review 3：Mosquitoes. I am someone who is very prone to mosquito attacks, and I wish the hotels and restaurants in Thailand have better methods of keeping mosquitoes away. My boyfriend spent the first 25 minutes in our room killing mosquitoes (at least 7 in the end) and the room did not have a mosquito net. The breakfast was pretty average. I also had to cook my own bacon, which was okay but unexpected and a little weird.

Review 4：We only stayed in Ao Nang one night and didn't really get to enjoy the hotel facilities, but the staff were very friendly upon check-in and check-out. We booked a car through the hotel to take us to the airport and our driver Dumrong (if I remember correctly) was one of the sweetest men I have ever met! Even though he was struggling communicating in English with us, he still tried very hard to ask us if we enjoyed our stay with the biggest smile on his face. It really was the best possible send-off to end our trip!

Review 5：Did not like the fact that they requested us to sign the letter of indemnity for requesting us to change to Small Hotel which is one street across for 2 rooms. While we agreed, we have no choice. There were also bed bugs in the honeymoon suite. They changed rooms for us, but we have to sign letter of indemnity.

Review 6：The location is good. There are street food and minimarts when you walk out of the hotel. The staff extended their help when we requested to make restaurant reservation. One of the staff Wan was very helpful in arranging transport for our family.

Review 19：The beds in our twin room were solid like box springs. A cockroach greeted us upon entering the room, and suddenly it set the tone for that hotel. Next door to the property there is major construction going on from about 8 am to about 7 pm. Constant jack hammering and drilling could get on your nerves if you think this is a relaxing resort. Wifi works great by the pool and not so great in our room.

Review 21：The average opening of the hotel from the narrow roadside opens up to a lovely reception area. Rooms are very modern and were clean. The pool area is lovely and was quiet during our short stay. Breakfast meals were much better than what we had in Patong Beach (Phuket) and all staff that we met were more than happy to provide advice and assist us in a kind and courteous manner. The location was quite good being a 5min walk to beach and 5-10min from the main shopping / eating strip. Highly recommended.

Review 33：No beach in the vicinity- they do have a very long beach near by, but no one really swims there, because the water isn't clear. This beach is more appropriate for a walk than swimming or sunbathing.

Review 34：Wifi was free, the travel agent was incredibly helpful and she gave us a good discount on our trips. The pool is nice, the massage salon also (although some massages aren't all that cheap). Breakfast was fresh and tasty. It's no too cheap, but the do offer a lot of services.

Review 35：We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at LaPlaya resort. We were greeted with a juice and immediately went to the swim up bar for happy hour. The resort was gorgeous, well kept and the staff were very friendly and helpful. There are Thai massages available as well as various tours that you can book onsite. The breakfast was fantastic with fresh omelettes, fresh fruit and various hot dishes, both Thai and western. As for location, there is a main street with street food within a 5 minute walk, the beach is 10 minutes or less. We only wished we had longer to spend at LaPlaya.

Review 49：Krabi laplaya is a lavishly comfortable resort giving a traveller every comfort of staying at a resort. The rooms are humongous with a gigantic bed, a very nice balcony and a window into the bathrooms for those who want to watch what goes on in there. We however kept it closed because we were travelling with a child. Every hotel room among other things is equipped with a pretty large beach bag and beach towels that you may carry wherever your heart desires. The swimming pool on the resort is grand with an attached bar that you can swim up to to order drinks. The spa too is wonderful and very fairly priced. The staff is extremely friendly, especially the lady behind the counter assisting tourists about the site seeing options...she is very sweet and always greets you with a smile and if your lucky she may even work out a good discount on your package island hopping trips. The location of the hotel is excellent. It's a 5mins walk from the aonang beach and while you walk to the beach you will be overwhelmed by an array of shops and restaurants...bargain well and read the displayed menus thoroughly to see what prices and products suit you the best...because more often than not the first choice is not the best choice.

Review 51：- Room! The room was huge, clean and modern. You have a huge bed with comfortable matras, a big shower and bathroom and a nice balcony with two chairs and a little table. You get towels for the bathroom and towels for the swimming pool in a nice carying back. There is a safe in the room. Hairdryer, shampoo, umbrella's and so on... - Swimming pool. Three swimming pools. Nothing special but it has water and is nice to swim :) When we were there, there was more then enough chairs available. - Breakfast. We liked this very much. You have a lot of options (you will not get hungry before evening! :p) - Location. It is on a side street in AO Nang but still walking distance to the two beaches and main street. The rooms are quiet. There are a lot of restaurants nearby, even some very good stalls with cheap food + 7-eleven stores.

Review 52：Nothing to dislike apart the shower (low pressure, water sometimes too hot and then suddenly too cold) and the noise room maids start making from 9am.

Review 53：Location, it's not on the busy main streets but on a side street and therefore much quieter. Staff is very friendly, they even brought me a birthday cake as a surprise. When we could not open the safe, they fixed the issue in couple of minutes, very efficiently. We had a room not overlooking the pool but the garden and a hill and in my opinion those rooms are much quieter. It is very clean. We got more than expected.

Review 54：most areas ready for refurbishment eg hotel bedroom and bathroom, dining area,round the pools.all tiled areas round hotel.,an attempt has been made with a coat of paint but its way beyond that.One can see that at one stage it must have been an outstanding hotel but its slipped from that mantle. approach to hotel is down a fairly grotty narrow road but as its other peoples back gardens/walls not much can be done about that, it will unfortunately always be a black mark.shame because the staff try really hard. [If you stay in a modern thai 4 star hotel,the difference is amazing and this ones not the cheapest].This hotel needs to be really careful the current slide in terms of its condition cant be recovered .,because it will just cost too much

Rooms were nice and comfortable, all of this at a good rate (low season?).
