Review 4：On booking.com they say the sea breeze rooms have a balcony. Actually only one of the rooms have a balcony so next time we would pay the extra for the sea view. We were disappointed by the lack of outside space but the staff were great and moved us to the ground floor as soon as a room became available. Still no private outside space but convenient for ordering cocktails and jumping in the pool!

Review 5：Wonderful romantic rooms overlooking the pool, attentive lovely staff, great cocktails, great food, lovely beach, walking distance to some beach bars. Oh and free kayaks were great for heading out to a little sand bar from the beach. We grabbed a beer and watched the sun set over the mountains. Perfect!

Review 13：Oh dear. The excellent cuisine is sadly let down by a rather chaotic and untrained staff in the restaurant. They really try hard and would greatly benefit from some formal training as they are all very willing to serve. Jack was the exception.

Super friendly staff, easy beach access excellent breakfast/food - all in all amazing and highly recommended. And they have a super cute dog called Puki who I fell in love with.

Review 17：The aircon in the room blew straight down on your face when trying to sleep, it also rattled a lot. While the hotel is in close location to Bangrak (where the boats come in from other islands), the airport, Fishermans Village and Chaweng, the unfortunate thing is you must get a taxi to each of these places. Taxis can be expensive to and from the hotel, but this is more of a criticism of the island itself and not the hotel. Lunch and dinner was very expensive, but the quality of the service and the food was outstanding so it outweighed the price.

Review 18：Very nice quite hotel. Beautiful rooms with a fantastic view. Breakfast was from an a la carte menu which was delicious every morning. The view from the restaurant is overlooking the sea, we could have sat there all day. The hotel provided kayaks which was really good as the ocean wasn't deep so it was very safe to kayak. All staff were very helpful and really went out of their way to accommodate you, the receptionists were particularly wonderful. It's rather surprising that majority of rooms were empty (14 room hotel). If you want a quiet, luxurious get away with good food and excellent service, this is your place. It is within close proximity to the airport and Fishermans village which we also really enjoyed for an evening out. Perhaps management should consider marketing the hotel more, not only for rooms but for the restaurant. If demand was there look at a free shuttle service to the hotel, which would definitely get more people to come. They have something really special there, they should really take advantage of it, but if people don't know this hotel and restaurant exist, they won't come and visit, just a thought.

Review 19：The beds weren't the best. They were decent, but I prefer a nicer bed.

Review 20：The restaurant was awesome. The menu was delicious for the most part and breakfast was a breeze. The staff was super friendly as well and they offered a really nice happy hour. The pool is really cool. They have free kayaks for you to use. The beach water was a little murky at times but it ended up being our favorite beach! Chaweng beach is much more crowded with a ton of bros if you prefer that type of thing. We don't.

Review 22：The staff (extremely kind and always smiley), the decoration, thearchitecture, cleanliness, the amazing breakfast, private beach, freekayak. My boyfriend and I stayed for 4 nights, we noticed that The Scentwas actually a Relais Chateaux when we arrived in front of the hotel,after 4 nights, we can tell that it definitely fulfils conditions to bea Relais Chateaux! Our room was the "sea breeze room", theview from our balcony was amazing, the room is very clean, the bed wasvery comfortable, everyday in the afternoon the staff brought us somecakes for afternoon tea. A very quiet and beautiful place for people whoare looking for tranquillity. The restaurant serves thai and westernfood, the breakfast is not a buffet like all the others hotels but youchose your plate in the menu, so many choices and very fresh anddelicious. My boyfriend had a serious sunburnt and allergy during ourstay, the staff helped us to get to the hospital, even paid the taxi us!I highly recommend The Scent for your stay in Koh Samui, the mostcharming hotel of the island!

Review 23：The beach is very quiet so not much entertainment nearby but good for couples or families. Wifi signal did not work well in the room. Own transport is recommended.

Review 43：We chose this hotel because of its proximity to the airport for our return flight the next day. For that purpose, this hotel was very convenient. Would not choose this hotel for a longer stay: not a great location and very small beach.

Review 47：The team could work on their service, they were friendly, but not pro-active in any way. Rooms were very dark AC is blowing directly onto the bed. For a 12 bedroom hotel, I would have expected the manager to be more involved with its customers and the service delivery. This could have made all the difference.

They promised me a late check out but by the next morning, informed me that they had another guest moving into my room. So they moved me to another equally as nice room instead for the few hours before my check out. Will definitely come back for a longer stay.

Review 51：Aircon was set in a way that it was blowing right onto a head of the bed, we couldn't sleep when it was on, when it was off then it was to hot to sleep, restless nights!!! Behind the wall, at neighbours was extremely loud ac compressor, when occasionaly it worked the whole wall was shaking. Beautiful restraunt was very, very expensive.

Review 52：Great atmosphere, lots of greens around pool. Stylish design in excellent taste. Restaurant located on a beutiful deck just above the beach, breakfast there was an incredible experience. We had room with a taras and a hammock nice set of furniture, great place to relax watching the sea.
