Review 1：Sadly the breakfast each day was a big let down. Not a lot of choice, unless you like to each a different style of eggs every day. General quality of the food was below average

Review 3：I am beside myself that I did not read reviews before we stayed here, as I read reviews for everywhere that we went. If you read that some of the rooms have cockroaches, it is absolutely true. After pointing out a cockroach as soon as we checked into our room, the attendant just shrugged his shoulders, and made it seem like he didn't understand what I was saying. We didn't further complain, as we thought we would just wait and see just how bad it is. We ended up only killing 3 cockroaches in the 3 days we were there. We were worried that if we demanded a new room, we would either lose our view, or end up with more cockroaches elsewhere. After browsing our beach, and others throughout Koh Samed, I am sure there are better places to stay for the same price, that are hopefully cockroach-less.

Review 15：Charged me 3% for paying with debit card. First place in the world this has happen to me and I travel a lot. Receptionist suggest I go use their ATM machine which by the way charges you to use it............ She was also very matter of fact. Basically this is the policy......... Poor start to the stay. Only shower towels in the room no hand towels. Beach towels you had to get from reception not sure why they can't put in your room like most hotels and resorts as they don't even log them when they give them from reception. Another service failing. All towels were faded and thin need replacing. Room was comfortable, nice hard bed but the straw mat on the floor was broken needed replacing. The safe box was rusty and the electric socket for the TV was hanging off the wall . Maintenance did fix it after reporting to reception. Plenty of staff but nobody walked the sunbeds on the beach to offer drinks or snacks. A missed revenue and service opportunity. Only 4 or 5 mattresses available for the 40 or so hard plastic sunbeds on the beach. The location of this resort could make it an amazing place but sadly it is poorly managed.

After 3 years living in Thailand and having visit a few places and stayed in different types of hotels, I have to say that Samed Cabana was not impressive. The staff was unfriendly, poor service, very poor breakfast,the beach was dirty and full of plastics and other objects like bottle of waters..... Not worth it.

Beachliving in comfortable bungalows with lovely staff that give the place a homely feeling. Good service, I tried other restaurants in the evening booth my stays, but Cabana had the best service and the best food quality.
Review 27：bad attitude. Like I visited a different Thailand. Unhelpful. Even breakfast my family from other resort were not allowed to sit with us. But the big disappointment was charging me cash to reverse credit card payment and just theaved 4000฿. Very disappointing.

Review 30：The beds are pretty bad. Very clean and tidy, but rock hard and they only gave us 1 squishy pillow each. They pushed two double-beds together to make a "king-size" bed for us... not exactly ideal for a honeymoon. The breakfast food was nothing to write home about, but it got the job done and we weren't hungry for a few hours (very very little protein available).
Review 31：We had an awesome honeymoon stay at Samed Cabana Resort. The staff was super helpful and really went out of their way to make sure our stay was great. The lunch food was pretty good and the evening beach barbeque was fantastic. They kept the bungalows and beach clean. Everything is a bit run down but is just right for a cozy hideaway from the world. They do have WiFi at the main restaurant area. We tried to disconnect as much as possible though, so it really wasn't that big of a deal to us.

Review 98：Staff was rude and unhelpful - we almost missed the ferry (the schedule said 12pm but boarding was actually at 11:30am. When we went to the reception to check out and ask, the guy at the front desk actually laughed at our misunderstanding instead of trying to help. We got on the ferry in the end as they made another round of pick up at 11:50am anyways. But the guy at the front desk said we would only be able to get on if we were 'lucky' which made us panic for quite a bit!) The bungalow we stayed in was very worn down. Stains everywhere. Rusted safe that wouldn't close. Broken shower that leaked water. This place is also more expensive than most of the other resorts on the same beach, which is a joke! We normally stay at Vongduern Resort which is 100 times better and cheaper!

Review 100：Rooms were bit outdated and pretty basic. Each bungalow had two units so the "own" terrace did not have any privacy. Booked the tranpsportation to bangkok through the hotel , or with their help. The price was close to double of the real market rate - not very pleasant last impression of the hotel services.

Review 121：For the price we paid, expected much much more. For the staff it seemed a bother to serve us in any way. Breakfast selection was small and never changed, tea was always cold, as we're hot plated items. No fruit such as bananas or apples or oranges, no yogurts, stale cornflakes or choco flakes. Not really any vegetarian options. Rooms were basic, and the bed was as hard as rock, rooms very very tired and shabby. Resort itself was often scattered with litter, to be honest the whole island wasn't very clean.

Review 123：The management has no conscience about sustainability,naturepreservation or hygiene: 1.there is a waste water open air sewerage collection lagoon right next to the pool. 2.they throw away piles of bottles at the inner road side of the exit of the resort. 3.they burn garbage at that same roadside in an own mini filthy open air landfill. 4.during rain this landfill leachate runs straight through the resort!

Review 131：Being welcomed by a bill for the 2nd night when the first was already paid for. Breakfast was a bit tired and anything finished at 9:30 didn't get re-filled although it was supposed to be until 10am. The room was not that clean and we had to ask them to fix it first but moldy curtains are hard to fix fast! Wifi works only in front of the reception. Avoid beach front number 1 to 4: too much passage, no privacy at all.
Review 132：Room 23 with partial view is one of the best (the one with beach front have lots of people passing by so less privacy, best would be 10-12). On the beach location is nice, massages nearby. They tick all the boxes: fridge, flat screen TV, kettle with tea-coffee, safe but $110 remains high for the overall service.
