Review 1：The room was way overpriced to sit on top of Mcdonalds and 7 Eleven. The room wasn't really clean and hotel had no amenities. This hotel was great for families but not for young people.

Review 2：The gala for NYE was great and the pool had a great view of the ocean and all of Ao Nang.

Review 3：Food quality was hit and miss. Breakfast food quality could be improved. The wifi needs more stability as reception kept dropping which was extremely annoying!

The hotel is probably overpriced for how they potray it, I think we would've got something around the same for much cheaper, it's because the pool/view looked much better than it was.

Review 13：It is a beautiful view from the rooftop pool, it is very different to how it looks in the photos though, the view is from the rooftop and below is Mcdonalds and many other businesses. It is a clean hotel with nice rooms. The breakfasts were alright and I liked how they made noodle soup.

Review 16：The price does not match the experience. The room is mediocre. The mattress was uncomfortable and felt used. I could feel each metal spring and it sagged in places. There were small bugs (akin to ants, but not ants) in multiple places in our room even though we were on the third floor above the ground. Definitely not the $90+ room I expected in a resort. The shower was built poorly such that splash from the shower gets under the shower wall and into the other areas of the bathroom, such as around the toilet. I would definitely not be returning to Cliff Resorts and I would look for other hotels in the area.

Review 31：- The standards of cleaning and basic hygiene are very different in Thailand than i.e. in Europe. It shows also in this hotel. "Cleaning" isn't actually cleaning, it's more like changing towels or refilling the minibar. There's a lot of dirt and stains in all surfaces, towels and sheets might not be totally clean etc.

Location to the many, many bars restaurants a very short walk. (Look out for Mom's Kitchen directly oppposite the hotel, truely lovely, best prawns in Thailand) Lovely balcony with plenty privacy. We arrived early and the staff were very accommodating and allowed us to get changed and go to the swimming pool until our room was ready. We went to Aonang Cliff with not many expectation as it was our "budget" stay. It truely exceeded our expectations and should hold its head up high as it is a very good 4 star hotel

Review 35：Our room was located on the first floor. From our bedroom we could see a huge yellow McDonalds sign. This was not really what you expect from a "Cliff Beach Resort". Don't book a Standard room but go for a more expensive room if you want to have a good look at the Mountains. Also, don't eat at the Hotel's Restaurant. Their Food isn't that great and not worth the Price.

Review 36：It is very close to the beach and to the center. The pool area is very relaxing - so was the breakfast, which was served on a nice terrace on the roof.

Review 38：Downstairs 24/7 minimart (7eleven), macdonalds, subway, starbucks. Short walk to the beach and center, restaurants and shopping close by. Big pool but not enough sun beds if you arrive later. Not enough value for the money, quite worn down already.

Review 39：Housekeeping is not very good. Rooms not thoroughly cleaned. Also we had a huge thick wire poking out the side of our mattress and housekeeping must have seen it but just covered it with the sheet. My wife scratched her leg on the on the wire and if she walked past the mattress with more pressure she could have had a serious cut. I reported it to the front desk and they offered to take my wife to hospital, replaced the mattress.

Swimmingpool is nice, but there are way too few sunbeds so in a rush hour you can forget to have a sunbed near the pool. Review 47：I had booked this hotel almost three months back. And I realised that I had paid thrice the price compare to going rate. We were also not given the rooms which we had selected. Though one day later we were kind of compensated by entry to Gala dineer (no drinks).

Review 97：Firstly, the rooms are under renovation and there's no water supplywhen we check-in. The staff told us to wait for 4 hours before the watersupply comes. Secondly, the electricity trips twice during midnight whenwe were asleep. Thirdly, the air-cond wasn't working on the lastday. I was told to wait 15 min before it gets cold but waited 6 hoursbefore they changed the room for us. Lastly, the staff told me hotel isfully booked by tour groups but when I insisted them to change the room,they got me another room in 5 min. But this room is much smaller. Thereis no service recovery

Review 98：Theres no elevators in the hotel, so you gotta climb up the stairs each time you need to go to your room. On the last nite of our stay, there were some problems with the plumbing so the water was disrupted for a couple of times. And when it did came back, the water wasnt so clear. Wasnt able to bathe our baby but staff apologised and gotten the plumber to fix the problem immediately.

Review 102：Breakfast was extremely poor as the3 nights I spent there, the spread was the same everyday. Should have more variety and choices throught different days of the week. Being Muslim, I had difficulty eating as the dishes contained pork and I had only to settle with pastries.Wifi was intermitent, probably due to high occupancy. The flight and location of the lift made it in-accessible as I was travelling with senior citizen and an infant. So pushing the stroller up the slope was tedious and my parents had a terrible time walking up the flight of steps.

Review 103：The location of the hotel was superb. It was strategically located alongside with many shops, restaurants, massage parlours, hairdressers and walking distance to the beach. Very accessible. Rooms are huge and nice smelling.

Our room was very nice, we booked the superior room in the new building with the ocean view and it was good value for money. We liked the jacuzzi in the balkony. Breakfast was good.

Review 110：Was disappointed when I checked-in they asked me to give them my bank card details as a deposit, I've never had it in my practice before and I'm travelling a lot. Plus the value of money for what you expect & what you got in this hotel is not worth it at all or I could guess as its an Island maybe that's why everything double paid. Had to ask staff 3 times at the reception to provide me with a face towel, which normally should be already in the room but not there!! The next thing - they were run out of TP for couple days, had to go to the shop and buy it. Can you imagine that one? Then a bath slippers were used a few times before & when I asked a cleaning lady for a new one she told me they don't have it. What a shock!!!! Note to Management staff: you have to mention it in your hotel review page that you're providing with second-third used time slippers etc. When I read all the comments about steps I thought they are just in front of the hotel as shows on pics, so it couldn't bother me that much....but nope, they are everywhere....and its really inconvinient frankly speaking. Overall review - its just an average hotel.

Review 111：On a positive note: I did like the location of this hotel, right in the middle of everything.....even my room was faced to the main road, I couldn't hear any noise from outside or was it because I didn't spend that much time in the hotel heh. Its good that they are providing with a beach math and a bag at least :-)

Review 112：As it was high season, the hotel's swimming pool was a little over-crowded and lacking in deck chairs and umbrellas. Also take note as this resort is built on the side of a small cliff one has to contend with numerous stairs. For those with difficulty in walking or climbing stairs this could be an issue.

The room was 77 eur / night. The staff was very helpfull and helped us to book cooking classes, transportations and other services.

Review 121：This is the classic bait and switch and the oldest hotel trick in the book. You book online thinking you're going to get the room in the photo but when you check in they give you the non-renovated room with no view. Then, this hotel actually has the nerve to ask you for more more money to upgrade to the room you thought you booked. With so many other options in the area you might want to make this your last option. Or at least until they start running their business fairly and their ranking starts to climb again.
