Reviews for AVANI Quy Nhon Resort & Spa
Review 1:Not much activities at night. I recommend some torches on the beach at night because it is too dark. Breakfast could be improved with more foods
Review 2:Love the hotel right in front of the beach. They are well maintain the facility with friendly staff
Review 3:The only minor complaint I have is the design of the concealed AC, which blows air right at your face. So your body is still hot and if you turn the AC up then you'll get a sore throat. Blame the architect - nice design to look at but sometimes not as practical.
Review 4:This is one of my favorite resorts in Vietnam. It is not the most opulent or luxurious but certainly very unique and full of character. After the recent renovation the resort feels very trendy and updated, yet still retains certain elements of local design (like the thatched roof). The rooms are very handsome and well appointed. All rooms have sea view which is great. I've been to many resorts but the moment I stepped in the reception area I was quite impressed with what I saw. The restaurant is also fantastically laid out with one particular table on a cliff that will make for a very romantic dinner. The beach itself wasn't that great as there are many fishing boats nearby. It is certainly not as clean as a secluded beach but most beaches around this area are like that. However it is only a personal preference and I'm sure many people enjoy looking at the local fishing boats and the fishing village nearby. There are many good activities offered at the resort such as kayaking or fishing. As we were leaving they gave us some cold water and some sweets for the road. Very thoughtful gesture. If you go to Quy Nhon, do spoil yourself and spend some time here - it's totally worth it.
Review 5:The dishes offered at the restaurant do not match the level of the hotel. more, on a few occasions the preparations simply were not acceptable. the manager has been advised of this and handled the matter in a superb way. suggestion : change the cook from the noon shift to the evening shift and vice versa.
Review 6:Sometimes they forget to put towels on the beach in the morning.
Review 7:Best hotel I've ever been. Amazing beach, small bay with scenic rocks and island. Fishing village nearby. Great breakfast, I liked sashimi and pho. Special thanks to hotel's team.
Review 8:Nothing
Review 9:The quiet and peaceful location of the resort on a very beautiful beach, the spacious and comfortable rooms with great sea view, incredible breakfast which was the best on my 3 month trip, the very pleasant and helpful staff, very good spa
Review 10:Restaurant prices are very expensive for Vietnam; however, the food is excellent
Review 11:Wonderful beach and pool area; very friendly and motivated staff; free yoga and tai chi classes near the beach
Review 12:Everything! Every single staff member was exceptionally friendly, general atmosphere was relaxing and welcoming. Stunning beach. Can't rate this place highly enough.
Review 13:Staff were not of equal helpfulness and some really had a difficult time understanding English. We arrived and were rushed to our room with no explanation or orientation of resort. Had no idea where and when breakfast was the next day. We ended up missing it. Hot water didn't work first night so had to wait for it to be fixed. Next day loud construction starting from 8am, it was literally next to our room, they were renovating an entire block with banging so loud reception could probably hear it through the phone. Moved us to another room (smaller) away from noise but air conditioning didn't work, wait another half hour for someone to come who then said it was fixed and to wait 20 min for it to work...didn't work after 2hours so had to go reception again. They changed to us to a bigger room finally but by then half of the day was gone. It's a half hour taxi ride and 400k vnd everytime you want to go into town-each way. If not, expect to pay exorbitante prices for even necessities like water on site. No wonder the bar was always empty, they should try charge a reasonable price so people will actually consume more. We did not spend anything extra on purpose just as a rebellion against this sort of business practice.
Review 14:Beautiful view from all rooms. This place is nice compared to other hotels in this city. Some of the staff were nice and helpful, like the guy who carried our bag, the driver and the restaurant manager.
Review 15:We got in late at night and got rushed into our room with no tour or introduction to things like where and when breakfast is etc. First thing hot water didn't work, it was fixed quickly. Woke up at 8am next morning to loud construction right next to us, so loud I'm sure reception could hear the banging over the phone. They moved us to another (smaller) room further away, we were happy to get away from the noise except the air conditioner wasn't working and we had to call reception once again to have someone fix something. 20 minutes later the handy man came and did some movements and said he'll be back in a little while, a little while later he came back and said it's working now and we had to wait for the room to cool. We left for an hour and came back and the room was still boiling. Went to see reception face to face and they moved us to a bigger room with air conditioning and also away from the loud construction. By that time it was already the afternoon and we're leaving the next day. The food we had at the restaurant was good but buffet breakfast was average, good eggs, watermelon juice was off. I didn't like the fact this resort was taking advantage of their remote location to overcharge on food and drinks. Charging 50k for a bottle of water is pretty ballsy considering most 5 star hotels in vietnam charge 25k. The staff seems helpful when you approach them but compared to some other hotels they do not anticipate guests needs and I just felt a lack of care or initiative from them when things go wrong.
Review 16:Having a private beach, albeit with boats near by and therefore a little dirty and being slightly remote.
Review 17:The restaurant is just average and too expensive compared to standards in Vietnam. Sometimes I feel difficulty to communicate with the staff in English.
Review 18:The beach and swimming pool are good. Through the beach you can walk to a confortable guest house "Haven", which serves lunch, and dinner if you reserve the day before.
Review 19:Small swimming pool Poor kids' corner Spa not as good as adv.
Review 20:- Good location with lively and lovely sea view - Nice and helpful staffs
Review 21:Great place on a fantastic location with great breakfast, lunch and dinner options. We came here to relax, and that was exactly what we got!
Review 22:Quiet place
Review 23:Foods are not very good. Far from the city
Review 24:Beautiful resort, nice pool, beach.
Review 25:We really loved the quiet, layed back feel of the resort. The beach was very clean and the food excellent.
Review 26:Resort a little remote and resort only offers transport into Quy Nhontwice a week.
Review 27:The staff always smiling and friendly, enjoyed the use of the kayaks andgym weights. The view of the bay was just lovely and relaxing, traditional fishing boats, shrimp nets etc., we never got tired oflooking out over the beach to the water and islands, just so relaxing.
Review 28:The resort is about 15 minute drive away from the city, and is quite isolated. White it makes the resort quiet and relaxing, it also limits the activities one can do (except for water activities or spa treatments I mean). There are also no other options for food around. The only restaurant in the resort is a bit pricy (compared to standards in Vietname).
Review 29:The resort is beautiful, the mountain in the back, the beach and the private island. It is very romantic and comfortable. Strongly recommended for a relaxing, comfy, couple's holiday.
Review 30:The Price for dinner!
Review 31:Amazing beach! Nice Hotel! It´s a bit old and needs a renovation. But the Beach is great and the Spa, too. The nearby City is not very interesting to explore. The the kitchen needs improvement. Although the Breakfast buffet ist by far the best I´ve seen in Asia!
Review 32:The pool needs some fresh/cold water running through it, jumping isn't refreshing although the sea and beach was amazing so not far to a refreshing swim :) The food and drink prices are a bit over the top even for this type of resort, and just include the 15% in the price.
Review 33:Loved the shower with a gorgeous view of the beach and the serenity that the place offers is amazing. Breakfast was a really good selection of Western and Asian food.
Review 34:One of our main issues was with the staff, they were all friendly but not exactly happy. We felt like they really didn't want to be there and that they were stripped of personality, there were also numerous issues with staff not understanding or not speaking enough English which is baffling seeing as how westernised the place is. We arrived at avani during the night (came from hoi an) and had dinner at there restaurant and immediately experienced some average service. We walked into the restaurant, stood there waiting to be seated by the staff who were unoccupied at the time but ignored us leaving us to awkwardly stand there wondering if we were welcome here or not. Our drinks came out after our entree, entree was good, my girlfriend got a seared lamb rack that was very expensive that came out completely raw and inedible and I got a fish soup without a spoon (i had to ask for a spoon eventually), then for dessert my girlfriend asked for 2 scoops of vanilla ice cream with cookies on top however we were told there was no coconut or vanilla ice cream left (there was nine for the entirety of our stay 5 nights) so she settled for strawberry instead. What came out? Strawberry topped with chocolate sauce and slivered almonds, we experienced similar mistakes Manu times throughout our stay and it really became quite comical, lemon juice came out as watermelon juice, chocolate ice cream came out as mango sorbet and so on. The service at times was inconsistent and so forced it seemed like they had been labotomised, not what you would expect from a resort so beautiful, the service was maybe 2 star, food 3 star it was only the resort and the location itself (things that couldn't make mistakes) that I would consider 4 star and worth the price.
Review 35:The beach is in a very nice and secluded location and the resort itself is very beautiful and impressive to look at. It is decorated very well and tastefully. The rooms all face towards the beach and are located less than 100metres from where the waves break which makes for a very impressive view, they are very clean and spacious. The spa is especially beautiful, it is located away from the rooms at the end of a winding path surrounded by nature and pretty lights and lanterns along the way. The spa treatments are what you would expect and the ambience was probably the best have experienced on our trip in Vietnam. The breakfast buffet was also quite good with a large selection of both western and vietnamese food.
Review 36:Fabulous location on a beautiful and quiet beach (10 km South from Quy Nhon), with a fantastic view. It is a one-of-a kind location. Resort is great, style is very tasteful, rooms are nice and have a great view on the beach.
Review 37:Every thing was ok . Nothing to complain
Review 38:The Resort is very well organized , located in a very quiet aria faraway from any noise. It is not recommended for person which like a partylife stile. The rooms are big and each room has sea front view. Therestaurant is well organized and offers a very big selection of westernand local food. Price are higher than average in vietnam but the qulityof food make the price ok.
Review 39:The food was a little bit on the expensive side, most of the meals averaged 200,000VND. It was good food though! The Laundry service was overpriced, you had to buy a laundry bag, and fill out a form with what you wanted washed, each item had a price tag, even your underwear. What cost me 30,000 to wash in a hostel in Hoi An would have been more than 400,000 at Quy Nhon!
Review 40:The Life Wellness Resort was great, an oasis of luxury during an otherwise cheap trip. We stayed 2 nights, and enjoyed Spa treatments that were fantastic and reasonably priced. The range of food was vast and included local as well as western food, the club sandwich was a winner. The view from our Balcony was amazing, and every room has the same view! No dodgy rooms that face a garden or something. The turn down service was lovely, with a note about the weather for the next day, and some local cakes. We had a very relaxing time, and would go again.
Review 41:We had a brilliant stay. The location is beautiful. The staff arelovely, helpful and friendly. The spa was so relaxing and the wholeresort is so peaceful that you feel totally relaxed.
Review 42:The hotel sign at the entrance is falling down - dont be put off! It gives an unfortunate bad impression to an otherwise great hotel. Doors to the balcony very stiff and suffered from sea wind damage.
Review 43:Very nice hotel, beautiful big rooms with balcony overlooking the sea. Nice extras in the room. Restaurant excellent, very good food for fairly reasonable price, wonderful breakfast. Spa service was amazing, massage overlooking and listening to the sea. Hotel is far away from anywhere but we didnt want to move from the hotel as was our haven for a couple of days! Lovely beach.
Review 44:Distant location makes the hotel expensive to reach. Taxi from the airport takes an hour. Weather in the area quite unstable so I recommend planning your schedule for stay carefully.
Review 45:Excellent place for relaxing. Location is really in the middle of nowhere. View from the room (the sea) is gorgeous. Wind and waves can be rough so the sea is also loud, and during our four day stay it was unswimmable due heavy currents. Staff is very warm-hearted and nice.
Review 46:Too far from the city and tourist sites
Review 47:Gorgeous location, comfortable rooms, helpful staff
Review 48:We have to book the meal 1 day in advance to get the food we like
Review 49:Restaurant food, but not the breakfast buffer, very normal
Review 50:Food and drinks are way over priced
Review 51:Location was perfect to get away from the hustle and bustle it's a beautiful resort
Review 52:friendliness of staff, big room with ocean view.
Review 53:Absolutly best choice to stay in Quy Nhon. Very clean, cozy and comfort resort!
Review 54:wish it was better weather . others wise we loved it !
