Reviews for Inn at Mulberry Grove

Review 1:Tub drain completely rusted through bottom, Sink was severely cracked and couldn't hold water. Mold and mildew growing around tub/shower.

Review 2:staff was very courteous and expedient with check in/out service

Review 3:The TV show in the king size bedroom, and rooms a bit dirty...the last time I stayed in the double queen size. ..they were cleaner and quite. .

Review 4:Value for the money. Breakfast, close to the tybee island. .

Review 5:Rooms were full of dust. The handicapped seat in the shower was disgusting. There were bugs everywhere. Wash cloths were stained.

Review 6:Location and Staff was very kind

Review 7:The room reaked of a horrible attempt at some kind of heavily perfumed powdery floral air freshener smell. I'm assuming a bad attempt to cover up smoker smells. It was very overpowering. Also the room is located on the side of the highway next to a gas station and seemed to be more of a truck stop hotel.

Review 8:The price was decent. Room includes a fridge and coffee maker.

Review 9:The most very basic of cable tv. It was an old TV what a horrible picture. I thought I had reserved a king suite and the entire room combined was not as large as my living room at home no more than five or six steps from the front door to the bathroom

Review 10:Quiet

Review 11:The room had a smell to it- and needed new carpet. The breakfast room was too small and needed a better selection of food.

Review 12:The staff was friendly and helpful.,

Review 13:Our neighbor ended up banging very loudly and throwing things over the balcony. The police had to come, and we were pretty disturbed. In the end it was an okay place and right by the highway, but we would have liked the staff to check in with us while all this was going on.

Review 14:No towels in our room. Angie walked them to us. Very few cable TV channels available. A little musty smell in room. Where's the WiFi! Disappointed that this free service not available.

Review 15:Angie, the late Night Manager, was very attentive and helpful. She noted my very late arrival (!!:30pm) and did everything she promised to insure my reservation. Very clean room though.

Review 16:We couldn't find an accommodation 4th of July weekend. Savanah downtown was packed, not even parking, it was crowded and raining. Tybee Island was booked at yr in advance. My 11 yr old daughter actually prayed to God for a miracle. At 10pm I checked on line again and t his hotel poped up! Great value I couldn't believe it!! They are not far from Tybee Island about 35/40 mins but the hotel is neat, easy to find, secure, right by the road, quite..the staff was great..I.am so staying at Mulberry Inn again! ! Our new sport in Savanna! !

Review 17:No electricity, no tv, no air conditioning. From 10pm till checkout at 7am. All surounding business had power. Front desk said owner was comming in to fix but never happend. No electricity from 10pm on. No TV, or A/C, couldnt shower in the dark. They would not even give a partial refund unless you wanted to hang around till 10:30 am when the manager got in. Should have offered a flash light to collect belongings and relocate guest.

Review 18:The location is on the very busy road, and the sign for the motel is hard to find, we missed it twice.

Review 19:We really enjoyed the cleanses, fresh breakfast, fairly quite environment, except the broken lighting in the Bath room, but the maintenance guy Andy fixed it promptly.

Review 20:Thin walls. It was very loud and the room was smaller than expected.

Review 21:I like the upgrades. You can tell it was renovated in the last few years. And the price was great for the area.

Review 22:Carpet worn and VERY dirty. Had to move to 3rd room after bringing in luggage. In initial room light switch between beds did not work (desk attendant had to phone someone for authorization to move us); 2nd room needed machine (air cleaner??) removed - and was left with a throat coughing strong smell that also made it breathing difficult. Scuffed walls, scarred furniture, and worn bedding (blanket and comforter) also.

Review 23:bed was very comfortable,

Review 24:We didn't attend the breakfast nor use the Wi-Fi. The carpet was filthy and the room smelled musty. The lighting was very poor and reminded us of "The Bates Motel." Very dismal. There was dead bugs sandwiched between the glass and faded print in the picture on the wall and although mgmt was notified they did nothing. Washing machine was out of service and soda machine was not working.

Review 25:We did like the lady that did housekeeping in our room, I think her name was Felicia. She was very friendly and made sure we had what we needed.

Review 26:I didn't like that it was near the freeway and that I could here ever truck that passed by. I did not like the thinness of the walls, I could hear neighbors all night long. Didn't like the outside rooms.

Review 27:Distance from Savannah was a little long but still close enough for us to get to St. Simons Island.

Review 28:Ease of acces and activities to do throughout the area.

Review 29:The staff was outstanding. We had a slight problem and the desk lady took, immediate, care of it. We loved the small garden.Went and sat in it and watched the birds. It was so relaxing.

Review 30:This is a motel FYI. It is nicely furnished and very clean but it is a well maintained motel not hotel. That is fine if that's your expectation but the photos called to mind an older sprawling hotel not a cramped motel. I didn't even benefit from the free breakfast because I didn't want to walk outside before 9am.

Review 31:Attentive and pleasant staff.

Review 32:Loved it All.

Review 33:Liked the rest of my experience with the Inn at Mulberry Grove. My favorite is the very knowledgeable and helpful staff that they have working for them.

Review 34:The walls are pretty thin, if someone is watching tv or snoring you hear it clearly. The tub seemed to have this black pattern on it as if there used to be a mat but they removed it and it just shows as a stain. Breakfast was just average, grits, sausage gravy (no actual meat), waffles, cereal and fruit.

Review 35:I liked the way it looks when you drive up to it. The signs and trees give it a resort inn vibe.

Review 36:After a very tiring trip, due to several "stop & go" traffic delays we were pleasantly surprised with this Inn. It wasn't too far from the I-95 and close to Savannah. Very clean, friendly staff, quiet.

Review 37:Fabric chair had stain very noticeable carpet felt dirty but looked vac

Review 38:The breakfast was great. Staff friendly ,accomadating room clean other then what I did not like

Review 39:The mattress needs to be replaced and the air conditioner had a stale and perfume smell and couldn't use it. Total rehab is in order

Review 40:Easy Access to 95

Review 41:Awful room. Reeked of smoke. Paper thin walls. Dark room. Irish weekend that caught us by surprise. Way overpaid at $190. Should have driven another 10 miles. Last time to use your booking service.

Review 42:Check in was friendly. That's about it

Review 43:Breakfast is couple pieces of fruit and waffles so if that doesn't fit your bill plan on eating elsewhere

Review 44:it's convenient and fast to the airport but much cheaper then hotels right outside the airport

Review 45:Breakfast room is really tiny and could not eat outside because it was too cold.

Review 46:The little added touches. Breakfast was nice and unexpected for the price. Not too far from Savannah. A very good price. A great value for the money. Super super clean!

Review 47:What I didnt like is at 2 am when I awoke& looked to see what time it was I say a nasty roach right in the bed next to my pillow as I moved it scrambled to the wall. UCK! I literally had to get up and run and was out the door in 15 mins. So was a waste of money and a disgusting experience. Beware.

Review 48:Perfect stay for our one night in Savannah. I would stay at the Inn again. What a bargain, breakfast was delicious, staff very courteous, room was clean and comfortable. Only 15 minutes to Historic Savannah.

Review 49:My only complaint is the walls are a bit thin and we could easily hear the folks in the room next door talking.

Review 50:Older hotel but in excellent shape and very clean. Very comfortable beds. Bathroom area appears to have been remodeled recently. Looks good. One of the best hot breakfast I have had at a hotel. Wife said she would stay there again.

Review 51:Located right on the corner of I95 and 516 which are major trucking routes. Gets pretty loud on front of building around 4-5am.

Review 52:The staff and breakfast were great. Recently renovated and feels and looks like a more expensive hotel!

Review 53:Outside noise due to parking right up close to the doors on the bottom floor.

Review 54:I really enjoyed my stay here. I was traveling from Florida to see my boyfriend and we were comfortably accommodated. The bed was really comfortable and the room had a home like feel.I would return regularly.

Review 55:Noisy. Stayed there last year, but didn't remember the noise. We might have stayed on the back side. This year we were in the front.

Review 56:shower & sink facilities

Review 57:room was not cleaned properly. I saw small chicken bones lying under the table when I entered the room. It wasn't cleaned properly

Review 58:nice rooms. Good breakfast

Review 59:There was a little bit of a noise issue with the trucking highway being just outside of our door. One of our two nights there we were both awoken three separate times by passing firetrucks or ambulances. That was probably just a freak occurrence though. The soundproofing of the rooms were not exactly the best either. Between the outside and our room, or between rooms, almost every sound was audible. There were instances where we could even here the gentleman in the room beside us lightly coughing. We also were expecting a grand bathtub similar to the one in the hotel's set of pictures. Unfortunately, when we got our room, it turned out those were only available on the first floor. All this aside, the hotel was more than worth it, and is a perfect booking for anyone looking for great value and a very memorable time! All negative things were just little nit-picky things here and there. The positives far outweighed the effects of anything above.

Review 60:The Hotel was a cute and very well taken care of hotel with very comfortable beds, plenty of space, a decent television, fast wifi, good atmosphere, friendly staff, central location to Savannah, the surrounding shopping centers, and attractions, and a very welcoming first impression. Breakfast was honestly not bad and I was quite blown away at everything that we got for the price that we payed. Myself and my Fiance were highly impressed and will likely choose this location again for future Savannah vacations. The negatives section is nothing but a few little nit-picky things that I did notice over the course of our couple days staying there. The quality that we experienced versus the money spent is just too good to let anything bad we found bring out negative feelings towards this place.

Review 61:We had random calls around 2am and 5am. When I answered both times no one said anything over the phone. It ruined my sleep since I couldn't go back to sleep. Coffee pot was dirty and the curtins were broken.

Review 62:The bed was comfortable.

Review 63:TV remote did not work furniture was worn and scuffed coffee pot in room did not work no iron in the room

Review 64:friendly staff comfortable bed hot breakfast

Review 65:We loved the hot breakfast! After spending two nights at a higher priced competitor and enduring their cold breakfast offerings we were super excited by eggs and sausage with country gravy and biscuits. Breakfast was simply amazing!

Review 66:Absolutely nothing!

Review 67:Everything about this motel is excellent. The room was very clean, the staff friendly, the bed comfortable and the location convenient. If you are staying in Savannah stay here!

Review 68:All very good.

Review 69:Price was so very inexpensive. Yet place was totally first class. Noisy truck stop across the road ... BUT windows /drapes so good, hardly heard the trucks. Option: ask for rooms on the other side if your a very light sleeper.

Review 70:Everything was great.

Review 71:Bathroom was extremely nice, especially for the price. Room was nicely decorated. Very clean and comfortable. Good hot breakfast. Easy access to I-95. Will stay here again on our return trip north.

Review 72:Unit had very dusty hardwood floor. Therefore dirty bare feet and white socks.

Review 73:Location, beds and general cleanliness were fine. Breakfast was very very good. Fresh eggs and bacon. Decent juice and toasted bagel

Review 74:It is true the walls are very thin! The people next door spoke loudly & up to about 3AM. Mostly could only hear loud voices but at times could actually hear full words/partial conversation. This is just a deficiency in how the place was made. I am a light sleeper so I did lack for the 2 nights but it didn't affect my good time.

Review 75:If I could give a 9 out of 10, I would. Everything was great. I was a bit nervous with the cost being $60/night but I couldn't see spending $360/night for downtown Savannah with no better reviews. Sure might have 4 stars but who needs valet parking? Pleasant surprise walking into the room & neighborhood was nice, everything looked nice, was clean (wasn't afraid to touch things), breakfast was very decent (eggs, waffles, biscuits, gravy, cereal, grits, sausage, coffee, OJ). No regrets, very happy.

Review 76:Some of the furniture(cases) were a bit worn as the veneer was coming off.

Review 77:The decor was tasteful Savanna style with rough iron pineapple table lamp towel rack, and hooks. The printed bedspreads were a soothing green. I loved the cooked grits for breakfast!!!!!!!!

Review 78:Perhaps it was the time of day, or night in our case, but the parking spaces seemed to be at a premium. That probably bodes well for the Inn since it means near or at capacity.

Review 79:It was convenient and right off I95. The room was clean and was easily accessible especially since we had our 91 yr old grandmother with us. Staff was great and overall our stay, albeit for one night, was a pleasant one.

Review 80:Location: close to highway (but without too much noise), but a 15 min drive to Savannah

Review 81:Price/quality Facilities in room: fridge, microwave... Cleanliness Breakfast: eggs, sausage, waffles

Review 82:Rooms to small.

Review 83:This hotel is very neat, clean and updated. The complimentary breakfast is great and the staff were very pleasant and nice. The room rates are awesome !!!!! Very cheap.

Review 84:The location of the facility made you very uneasy especially when it was time to go to bed. Breakfast was OK; a little more variety would have been nice.

Review 85:There was definitely value in staying here. Coffee was great.

Review 86:Needs renovation. Bed and furniture old. Chair upholstery dirty. Dingy carpet. Breakfast food aweful. No guide to tv channels available. Overall, a nasty feeling.

Review 87:We had stayed there before and it was ok. That time we were on the second floor. This time we arrived late and were given a ground floor room. I should have asked for another room but it was late. Big mistake. The room reeked of mildew!! There was black in and around the bathtub. My wife woke up sick.

Review 88:The room was damp when we wLked on floor felt wet no soap in room I wouldn't stay there again. Was tring to take my granddaughters to tybee and savannah for a little road trip

Review 89:Dubious characters as other guests, age of the facility, outside grounds were not attractive. Seems hard to find a nice place at decent price in Savannah.

Review 90:The front desk lady was nice and helpful, especially when I told her a guest was trying to break into cars of other guests - she made the bad guys leave immediately. The AC was good and cold during hot summer days, the room is nicely decorated but can't disguise the fact it's an older motel.

Review 91:The day Pryor to me checking in I had to cancel my reservation due to the late check in of 3pm. I felt that the clerks attitude was poor, when I mention to her that I was a truck driver and that I was very tired, and that I would be leaving within a few hours . Her response was to go back on line to cancel my reservation . I felt that she wasn't friendly or professional. I'd stayed at the Mulberry Inn before, and everything was wonderful I felt that she could have been more accommodating to a weary traveler, but for the foremost my stay there was wonderful. I did return the following day and booked a room at the hotel I did not see the clerk there at that time.

Review 92:Since it is close to a road I expected it to be a normal motel room for travelers just passing by. It was not. It was super cosy room, the staff were very friendly, the price was extremely good bargain and even small complementary breakfast on top of that. Oh, and they had super wifi Internet in the room. I liked every single detail there even how the toiletries are placed in the bathroom.

Review 93:Wifi was somewhat weak in our room. Room smelled a bit stifled when we first entered.

Review 94:Staff very helpful. Hot breakfast was delicious. Jacuzzi in the room was a nice touch.

Review 95:Clean, comfortable bed, good (hot) breakfast, excellent location, friendly staff!! Pictures are accurate depiction!! Would stay again if we are in the area!

Review 96:My fourth time there. No butter for breakfest, never. Only margerine. The only place in America with no butter for breakfest.

Review 97:Location, price, cleaness, stuff, comfort

Review 98:The noise from the next room went late into the night. I feel there should be signs posted that after 11pm noise should be kept to a minimum.

Review 99:The staff was very attentive to our needs. The breakfast was very good in that they served hot food rather than just pastrys and cereal.

Review 100:Room entry is from the parking area, no interior hall ways.

Review 101:Clean room with plenty of room. Beds were comfortable. We did not have the breakfast at the hotel, Waffle House was across the street. Helpfull front desk.

Review 102:Foumd a German roach in the room. We were told the owner would address it but no one did.

Review 103:Breakfast was fresh and good. Good attitude from all staff and friendly.

Review 104:The truck stop behind the Inn. Very loud. Night attendant was a bit rude. Furniture old and no microwave in room.

Review 105:We were able to book the room for a great one night only deal. The morning staff was very nice. The beds were comfortable.

Review 106:Type of room requested was made available upon arrival. Nice breakfast.

Review 107:Hairs in the beds, hairs on the towels, crumbs on the sheets.

Review 108:We arrived late and the owners left the key under our room mat.

Review 109:The breakfast advertised sausage and eggs but they offered none. The sheets and pillows were poor.Dirty carpet.

Review 110:The bathroom was clean

Review 111:No microwave in room

Review 112:Rooms were clean

Review 113:the room didnt have a microwave

Review 114:I love the frig in the room. Convienent to gas, food & 95.

Review 115:Breakfast wasn't the best.

Review 116:Great price. Only 20 minutes from the historic downtown.

Review 117:price rises during events in Savannah

Review 118:price reasonable

Review 119:it was perfet for traveling throughout the city.

Review 120:Needs updated televisions.

Review 121:The location was great.

Review 122:Breakfast area too small.

Review 123:clean

Review 124:Husband raved about it

Review 125:Friendly staff convenient location and great price

Review 126:Carpet was in need of replacement and was very damp. Room just needed some refurbishing and soundproofing.

Review 127:Close proximity to I95, fuel and food.

Review 128:Everything was old but clean, I wish the bedding was in better condition

Review 129:I like that the staff was nice and accommodating.
