Reviews for Pousada Sol da Manha

Review 1:It is far away from everything, and the price is too high for being a house, not a hotel. The kitchen is really expensive, and no way to get out for a restaurant. I didn't get an invoice after asking for it three times.

Review 2:The interior is pretty nice and clean. The views are awesome.

Review 3:Location is great but note there is no place to have a good dinner in around 30 minutes drive. Smell in the room - toilet, cleaning chemistry, smells from kitchen in the evening. Lack of some simple items such as soap or insect repellent / tablets -whatever.

Review 4:The host Fred is just great - very friendly and ready to help any time with everything. Not only help but make a good company as well! The staff doesn't speak English as everywhere in Brazil but this is a nice exception as EN is native for the host. Location - a piece of paradise, calm, beautiful, peaceful. House - not big (8 rooms), very cozy and stylish. Old but so cute and lovely dog, very kind. Parking place and the host will move your car if needed early in the am or late at night.

Review 5:We loved everything at Posada Sol Da Manhã. My husband and I had been traveling around Brazil for the past two and a half weeks on our honeymoon and this being our last stop, we had wished we'd stayed there for the whole time. The service was great and so helpful, they went above and beyond our expectations. We loved the friendly owner, Fred! A big thing for us when staying anywhere is cleanliness and they get a gold star for that. We were also able to go out for a boat ride with a few other couples also staying at Posada Sol Da Manhã and see several of the beautiful islands and came back to the hotel and had a churrasco with our new friends! We will definitely be coming back!

Review 6:Really nice staff, welcoming host, great breakfast with typical Brazilian breads, ... and fresh juices. It is a gem because it has only six rooms and therefore the atmosphere is very cosy.

Review 7:Water in the bay is not so clean

Review 8:Great place for total chillout. Fred, owner of pousada is really comunicative and helpful guy. He organises also motorboats trips for groups. Really good eating.

Review 9:No Cable

Review 10:Excellent attention and treatment.

Review 11:The house, the family, service, location, food, etc... everything was excellent

Review 12:No restaurants near the hotel.

Review 13:We took a private trip, organized by the hotel and starting at the hotel, around the isles of Angra. Wonderful.

Review 14:Family atmosphere, friendly staff, good breakfast meal, beautiful view on the bay, quiet place.

Review 15:owners are control-freaks

Review 16:nice bed and breakfast, good place to visit Ilha Grande from there

Review 17:excellent location directly on the water very friendly staff we wish we had stayed longer

Review 18:everything

Review 19:The restaurant could offer better variety given the pousada is quite tucked away. The room was a bit pricy compared to other locations by the sea during Brazil's winter (after all it is World Cup time) but it's still worth it for one night.

Review 20:The location is ideal for a rest after a busy trip to Rio and Sao Paulo and really quiet. View on the bay is incredible. Feels very homely and rooms are very comfortable.

Review 21:A really nice family runs the pousada. They and the personal made us feel like being home. I would always recommend this pousada. Very very clean place, tasteful decoration, great food, nice view and good wifi signal everywhere.

Review 22:Also the location, it isn't near to anithing, but if you are surching for a remote place...is agreat place.

Review 23:We love the location, waking up in the morning and have such a paradise in front of us, is just great.

Review 24:Rooms could be slightly bigger. But not an problem anyway!

Review 25:Staff, views, quiet and cosyness. The private boat trip offered by the hotel is amazing and well worth the price

Review 26:Nothing negative I can think of.

Review 27:Beautiful setting with great garden with lots of lounge chairs, sofabeds right at the sea in a lovely cove. Excellent lounge and balcony area. Free and secure parking. The owner lived abroad and speaks perfect English (a rarity in Brazil). Bus stop right in front of the pousada. Good and stable wi-fi in room and public areas.

Review 28:The owner did not speak English and it was very hard to communicate. This is a good place to stay if you are breaking up the journey from Rio to Sao Paulo and want just to relax for a night or two. Angra itself was very disappointing and you really need a car to get about as there is nothing else close by within walking distance. We did use the local bus which stops right outside but taxis are very overpriced. The only thing that let the outside area down was the lack of steps from the pier into the sea. If you are unable to dive in you had to go down a rather slippery path which was also the only way out.

Review 29:The outside area was beautiful with plenty of comfortable seating and loungers. Right on the sea in a calm inlet with lovely views of surrounding mountains. The bar and eating area again had lovely views and the food, although basic, was very reasonably priced. The Pousada was clean in all areas and our room had a garden and sea view. Wifi available throughout.

Review 30:It's quite far from Angra town. Taxis are very expensive. Would not recommend to those who do not travel by their own car

Review 31:Cozy clean nice guest house. The rooms are made with style and taste

Review 32:Limited selection on food and you have to order 1 hour in advance for dinner. A bit surpise that bed sheets had multiple little stains, which really let down the quality of the rest. Need a car or be prepared for sinuous journeys on very colloquial buses to visit around.

Review 33:Very welcoming and helpful staf! Beautiful view on the bay! Great relaxing garden! Great location to wind down along the coast and visit the wonderful 650 beaches of the region

Review 34:local town is grotty not much around (restaurants), but hotel food is nice

Review 35:staff were so helpful; and went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable amazing views

Review 36:>the boat trip to the 4 islands, departing from the Angra Port is very commerial and not worth the money >at the posada almost everything was good; only there is no the privacy and discretion when having breankfast or dinner,

Review 37:>the lake view in front of the room window. >the food >the room >the Internet WIFI >the security

Review 38:The staff was really friendly, rooms were spacious and comfortable and all the rooms are in the waterfront.

Review 39:Nothing everything was very good

Review 40:The location with the very good breakfast and restaurant

Review 41:Good location, beautifull and relaxed atmosphere. Good stop before taking the boat to an Island of travel through the Costa Verde.
