Review 1：Water in the morning was... not quite running. Surely not their fault, but........ It is not very nice if your accommodation day is running to 12 PM to come at 11:50 and ask a guest that has struggled with not running shower if they are ready to leave as the next guests are there. The owner has German roots and wants to make it crystal clear. Personally I would have preferred something either culture neutral or -why not - Romanian, it's not in Germany after all :)

Review 2：Everything, I stayed in December and they even had a natural Christmas tree in the room! All was very lovely.

Review 3：very helpful - I wanted to visit the monasteries and everything was arranged for me - a car and driver. Good advice. The hotel is very convenient if arriving by train. Delicious meals.

Review 4：We arrived late but the staff was very welcoming and accommodating. The restaurant (although separate) is excellent. Are visit was part of a large trip and our focus was on the painted monasteries. However, if we had an extended visit in the area Hilde's Residence would be ideal.

Review 6：The hotel is lovely situated in an apple orchard, it is a boutique hotel. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Rooms are cosy, the buffet in the morning excellent with home made jams and apple drink. Very good dinners. Nice place from where you can visit the Unesco churches and monasteries. We were there for about 5 days and felt very at home.

Review 7：A bit out of town, but no trouble with a car.

Review 9：Lovely fresh little place with THE most helpful staff. I arrived on the 5.30am train and there was someone there to greet me even though the office closes at 10pm. They did not charge me for an extremely early checkin. They were also helpful with other arrangements. Close to the train station, centre of town. Lovely garden where they grow food for the restaurant.

Review 10：My fourth stay, can't recommend a better place to stay in Bukovina to see the painted monasteries, Lucy and her staff realize the importance great customer service. Highly recommend.

Review 16：Lovely guest house with good staff. The house and garden are very relaxing places to be. We enjoyed our meals in the restaurant. Gura Humorlui is an ideal base for visiting the painted monasteries and the beautiful hills of Bucovina.

Review 17：There are several things that we could suggest improving: the cable tv from the ground floor to the upper floor is hanging on the stairs and it is not safe for the children, the small beds ( 1 person ) didn't have any sheets, the lights on the side of the bed are actually on top of the bed and you can hit them easily with your hands ( happend to my several times during one night stay) and they are pretty noisy. Staff was friendly and helpful, but didn't know they have reception/check-in open until 00:00 on Booking ( they were closing the reception normally at 22:00)

Review 18：Loved the location, the way you feel there - very traditional ( yet modern facilities), the large yard and the nice giftshop. We stayed in the apartment - 2 floors - very nice and cozy. The breakfast was excellent also - well worth the extra charge ( several euros). Friendly staff ( we arrived quite late - arround 00:00 and they helped us accomodate - even if they were in pijamas :)

Review 19：Confusion over booking. Cottage not suitable for 2 couples, only family. The electrics in the upstairs bedroom are dangerous - lights don't work and cables trip up. Cupboard door falls off when you try to open it.

Review 21：Staff was excellent, always asking what they could do for us. Breakfast buffet was so diverse every single morning and delicious. Good value restaurant for dinners as well. They packed us a great breakfast for our early departure that we enjoyed on the train ride. Large rooms and really large bathrooms.

Review 22：-sewer smell in the Rustic apartment -the waitress which was serving us does not know how to smile and made some inappropriate comments -food extremely expensive and/or portions a little bit small compared to other locations

Review 23：-The room was awesomely decorated and very cozy (we stayed in Rustic apartment) - we liked most of all the floor heating. -the food was excellent - they only serve their homemade dishes -free dvd rental at the reception -excellent breakfast variety

Review 25：Clean rooms with comfortable beds, a wonderful breakfast buffet with mainly homemade food, a lot of it made with bio products. A restaurant which offers a good variety of international and local dishes. Only a short distance from two of the most famous painted monasteries.

Review 26：We did find the wine expensive here compared to other restaurants and the house wine was disappointing for Romanian red which we generally really enjoyed.

Review 27：We had a lovely room called Bamboo which opened up to a large covered upstairs balcony shared with the next door room but organised so you have your own space which includes a wonderfully swinging seat per room. It was heavenly sitting there with a glass of wine! The bed was large and comfortable and the bathroom clean and fine although not quite as smart as the rest of the room. Parking is plentiful and free and there is a huge garden area to explore. Breakfast was extra but well worth the cost with a lovely spread of goodies which varied each day. We ate dinner here twice as other options are limited but it is excellent quality and very tasty so you have no need to go elsewhere

Review 29：We had a large apppartment, with a king size bed. Room was quiet and we slept ok. Bathroom was ok. The whole appartment was nicely decorated, especially the bedroom.

Review 30：We did not like: - That we were charged twice (first when we did the reservation via Booking and second in the same day we arrived) and the fact that the owner did not recognise that is their mistake and we were forced to do formalities to recover our money; -Thre entire attitude of the owner regarding the above problem; -The noise of the broken fire sensor and the fact that we had to tell that to the staff for the five times; -The fact that in a "traditional homemade chicken soup" costing 18 RON I found only some neck skin and some fried chicken breast; -The so-called spa area (the sauna is very small, crowded in the massage room, so it is not possible to go there is someone else is taking a massage). In addition, it cost 35 RON for 30 minutes and, in our case, when we entered in the sauna the temperature was 28C and by the end of those 30 minutes we paid, it was 42C.

Review 32：It was a pleasanr experience. The room was nice and very clean. The service and food was excellent and the English speaking staff very friendly and helpful. The hotel provides a scrumptious gourmet buffet breakfast at a very modest price. We will definitely come back.

Review 34：The Romanian food was very good and different option were available. The grounds were luscious and comfortable. The location was easy to find and close enough to downtown/main street/highway that it made day trip to a number of different region sights a breeze.

The staff were very riendly and welcoming and knowledgeable about the area. we enjoyed the lovely traditional breakfasts and dinners in the restaurant. Overall, we had a very enjoyable stay and loved the beautiful Painted Monasteries.

Review 64：A surprisingly pleasant and friendly place, with very polite and helpful staff. The place was full, a couple of families with children, but we didn't feel or hear any noise or disturbances. The food at the restaurant is very delicious, we enjoyed a couple of items on the menu, while the prices are very accessible. Nice, clean rooms. Good breakfast. Amazing garden open to visitors. Probably the friendliest place we stayed at in Romania, would love to go back in the near future.

Review 69：Hilde's was an lovely hotel. We booked it for convenience for viewing the painted monasteries. The hotel arranged a taxi for us to visit the monasteries, the taxi driver was very friendly and very helpful.

Review 74：If you're spending the night in Gura (or two as I did) and don't do so at Hilde's, you're nuts! This is a GREAT place. The staff is outstanding, the rooms great, and the food to die for! I felt I was a guest in someone's home, not a lodger at a commercial establishment.

Review 75：This is a terrific place! The rooms were spotless. We would recommend selecting the deluxe double or junior suite because they provide more space for a minimal increase in money. The ladies at the desk are tremendously friendly and speak very good english. Andrea is a fountain of information about the churches and the Bucovina area. They have an excellent gift shop which has fair prices. The restaurant has a really good selection of food and it's quite good. This is a superb site from which to see a large number of the painted churches without having to fight the city traffic of Suceava. I think Hilde's gets fully booked all the time and we saw why.

We were there to see the Bucovina monasteries with our guide from AXA and they made sure our breakfast was served in a timely manner. We ate dinner both nights in the restaurant and had great food. From the first when we received their welcome email after we made our reservation to being welcomed by fresh cookies in our room to the excellent serving staff in the restaurant, it was perfect!

Lovely room originally with strange red bedsheets (something to do with a "Yang" theme! - but changed on request to something more relaxing without problem). Modern bathroom. Restaurant was strangely much better at international food than local specialities. Excellent breakfast.

Review 111：Unfortunately, I had a noisy family in the room next to me, so it washard to sleep. The shower was quite awkward to get under the water.

Review 113：We liked very much the friendlyness of the stuff and of course of Lucy, the eco concept with as much as possible homemade food, the beautiful garden. This is a place were you always like to come back! But last but not least we enjoyed so much massage from Dana; it is a must if you stay there!
