Review 1：The hotel is rather sterile... it has been made of cement and barely nothing else... it has no beach, only beech front , as the hotel has concreted over the beach front , blocking access for a nice walk on the beech, it is lacking green credentials, so if your easily offended by over development dont stay in this hotel.

Review 6：Almost every aspect of the hotel was good when compared to the price paid, so ... excellent value for money. Nice sized room and pool. It was wonderful (at high tide) to be able to 'step into' the sea from the steps of the hotel which was much like stepping into the pool. Nice experience.

Review 7：Really bad lightning in the room. The room wasn't soundproofed. No information at all from the staff at check-in. Ended up being forced to pay 600 baht for a small stain they found at one of the towels, a bit over the top (c'mon, 600 baht for a small stain?).

Review 8：Location. Room. Pool. Plenty of sun chairs (only at the beach, almost none at the pool area). Good food (alltough it was quite expensive in Thai standards).

Review 10：Awa resort has grand design which is worth to visit. They also have a very good breakfast selection for every taste. And tho we booked a hillside room, we somehow got a poolside room on ground floor which was superb. The room was spacious and bed was HUGE. Lots of restaurants around.

Review 13：- Wifi wasn't too fast. - No sand beach, only concrete ladder. However, white sand beach is 20 meters away. - Kayak rental was very expensive. If you go 50 meters away you'll find same kayaks 3 times less expensive. - Staff don't speak English well.

Our room smelled really bad and I complained 5 times and finally they fixed it and next day, it smelled again and at the point, I've given up as I know they can't do anything about it nor refund my money or anything. Serious issue about lack of hospitality here. If they don't do anything about it, it'll be one of those haunted looks giant empty hotel in 5 years time... Will come back to Koh Chang but definitely not here.

Review 26：Outstanding resort, and because of low-season affordable for people without unlimited budgets. Rooms are big, clean, luxurious and the 71,8m pool is an event in itself. Other services such as the Spa and the restaurant are very good as well. Breakfast was rich and with plenty of choice with staff helping out whenever necessary. Maybe the luck of lowseason (rainseason from august-oktober) but we had the resort more or less to ourselves. Special thanks go out to Abel, who went out of his way to make us feel at home. With a lot of experience in Thai tourism, an encounter with someone like Abel, eloquent, and well-spoken, is rare. A lot of stress is a result of the lack of good communication (English) and Abel was a very welcome oasis of clean and transparant communication. Thanks!

Review 28：The hotel is just 8 months old so everything is prictine and new. This is undoubtably the best looking hotel that I have seen on Koh Chang. Stayed in a large pool side room with two double beds, the room was large with huge bathroom containing bath and shower plus an additional shower room. 70 M swimming pool, pool side bar. Hotel next to the beach.

Review 30：The Hotel is new with modern Chinese styles. The room is spacious, and the bathroom is Hugh with a big rain shower and bathtub. The swimming pool is also great.

Food at the restaurant was delicious, but not the cheapest you will find in Kai Bae. The lobby of the resort looks very impressive and we received a very friendly welcome upon arrival.

Review 46：staying 3nights in a deluxe room with poolview we had a great time. The hotel is still as good as brand new. Very impressive foyer. Beautiful spacious rooms with a double lounger on the balcony. Good buffet breakfast with lots of options, sitting in the stylish breakfast area or with view of the sea. The pool is 70m (yes 70m!) long which is fantastic for doing laps in the morning and provides plenty of play space during the day. Sunning options are either on the loungers along the pool, or in the sandy area overlooking the sea where there are also plenty of sun chairs and parasols. Very friendly and competent staff. The food in the restaurant is great and the setting very beautiful.

Review 52：When we arrived we were given a room in the hills. This was not even part of the same hotel as far as I was concerned. Long way to the facilities and required a golf cart to get there? Was great hotel after paying extra to move to the main hotel. I would not have liked my stay in the first room at all.

Breakfast was good, (there could be more fruit) but it was never clear if you had to heal yourself to the drinks or if you had to be served. Coffee was often not ready even if there were a few customers for breakfast. Not a big deal, but it s nice to have coffee along with your food I think it s something that could be fixed. We had stayed at The Dewa the year before and we liked both the hotel and the location much better. In fact we often rent a scooter and went there for the day.

We had stayed at awa the year before and both the hotel and the location

Review 68：Beach is small but still comfortable and fully equipped. However the sea was little murky and bottom was rocky. The staff was sometimes un-coordinated and inexperienced and you had to ask repetitively.

Review 71：We don't see there are any bad reviews, this hotel was amazing! When you arrive you are greeted in the grand reception. The room was large and spacious with modern decor. Bed very comfortable and more than big enough for two! The bathroom is also big and shower is very hot and powerful. Pool is very big and well designed, however the water is very cold so we didn't go in much and went in the sea instead. Breakfast had lots of option and everything was good! Food and cocktails at the restaurant were very nice and reasonable price. Location is good, right on the beach so you can walk straight into the sea with only taking a few steps over the sand from the hotel. Lots of restaurants and a few bars close by. Overall we were extremely impressed and will recommend to anyone. I have been traveling for 4 months over Asia and I was extremely happy for everything to be what was expected. Everything is exactly the same as the pictures.

Review 72：Check in was a mess. We were early and expected to wait, which we did and had lunch from the bar menu. But they had everyone's documentation spread all over the counter in plastic sleeves and no one seemed to have much idea. I stood back and waited my turn only to have two families who thought they were more important than us, jump the queue. There needs to be an actual check in queue and the front staff need to take notice of their guests or perhaps people could learn some manners. It's a new resort so perhaps they'll get this sorted soon.

Review 73：Good position right on the beach, although calling it a beach is a bit of a stretch! There is a small amount of sand which gets bigger as the tide drops. Great places to eat just outside on the street. We had a beachfront room on level 3 with a very nice view and our daughter had a pool view room also on level 3. Would not like to have been paying these prices and had a ground floor room, especially beach front as there is no view, it is blocked by a high wall. Having said that, our rooms were very nice. There were plenty of loungers and umbrellas by the water.
