Reviews for Margaritaville Island Hotel
Review 1:The only thing that was a disappointment was the lack of breakfast at the hotel covered by the hotel fee. A breakfast buffet provided by the facility would have made this stay PERFECT!
Review 2:I can NEVER rest while away from home for thinking of the cleanliness of the facility in which I'm staying. I literally lie awake at night! BUT, there are a couple of places I've stayed where I can rest, and now I can add Margaritaville to that list! It was BEYOND clean! There was NO CARPET in the rooms...a wonderful plus!!! AND, the bathroom and shower were roomy enough for comfort instead of cramped beyond belief. The huge shower was awesome! The space within the room itself was grand as well. I would and will highly recommend this place to everyone I talk to who wants to visit Pigeon Forge.
Review 3:It was a little noisy! The room could stand to be a little darker. The walk to the room would be difficult for someone who had trouble walking a distance.
Review 4:The beds were very comfortable and the spacious room was great. We had a village view. Enjoyed sitting on balcony watching the people.
Review 5:Front office personnel, they were suspoisd to call me on my cell phonewhen our room was available, but did not. A 4:00 pm check in is notacceptable, we were locked out of room at 11:00 am , we forgotsomething and turned around in the hall to back in the room and our keywould not work.
Review 6:The hotel lobby wasn't centered with the rooms, there was a very long walk to the hotel lobby from our room.
Review 7:The rooms were gorgeous and very spacious. Loved the margarita maker and very large shower.
Review 8:I wish I didn't have to search for the best price. Why can't they just give it to me with one call? I searched for days and saw the price drop each day. I would have booked sooner if I was offered the price I paid.
Review 9:Everything about the place was excellent!
Review 10:The mattress could've been a little more comfortable. Also, if both the rain shower and other shower nozzle would work at the same time, that would be amazing!!!
Review 11:The rain shower was fantastic! I loved the location and the ability to walk to high quality restaurants and shopping within a couple of minutes. The roof top hot tub was amazing and hot even in the cold of a January evening.
Review 12:I've stayed in several 5 star hotels, that were not as nice as Margaritaville. The room was very modern and clean, and every single member of the staff was sincerely friendly!! We've found our new Pigeon Forge / Gatlinburg hotel!
Review 13:I think the price is a little high.
Review 14:I liked the room it was very quaint we usually stay in cabins but tried the hotel this time. Will be returning sometime. It is very convenient to a lot of shops and dining. Very clean, love the huge shower and having a fire place to watch while in bed.
Review 15:It was a little bit pricier than I'd like and the parking wasn't great.
Review 16:The room was completely awesome. The bed was very comfortable. Very spacious, beautifully decorated. Great amenities.
Review 17:I was slightly bummed that the "double rainfall shower" only allows one shower head at a time to be running, and the check in time is a little later than I expected, but that's being picky. Overall it was wonderful!
Review 18:The location is amazing, it's nice to be able to go do fun things with our daughter without having to get into the car every time. Plenty of places to eat and things to do right there in the island. I also really enjoyed the roof top hot tub, and that the room has tile flooring instead of carpet.
Review 19:The floors were dirty it turn ur feet black I guess cause nobody is cleaning the floors in the rooms
Review 20:I like the location all the places to shop right there and to have fun...
Review 21:The kuerig in our room did not work. Did ask a housekeeper in the hallway to please check it when they had a fee moment. When we returned to the room later, there was a cup of cold coffe on the machine, but no new pods replaced. But this by no means would ever keep us from returning.
Review 22:Great location. All staff, including housekeeping staff, always smiling, always said hello, very customer service oriented! Comfort & amenities in room beyond expectations. Decor made us feel like we were at the beach.
Review 23:5 star beautiful hotel clean and all the amenities you need. The area is packed full of shops, restaurants, and fun things to do for the whole family we walked and never needed the car it's all located right as you walk out of the hotel doors. Get the village view balcony we loved it. My brother had river view which was not as impressive. Can't wait to go back!
Review 24:The rooms were so spacious and clean. We loved where the hotel was located on "The Island"--there was so much for my family to do. An amazing place to visit with children of any age!
Review 25:Didn't have our room ready despite 4 pm check in guarantee. Said they'd make that up and didn't.
Review 26:Loved the relaxed atmosphere. Great large rooms. Didn't feel like hotel room.
Review 27:That the staff did not know the room size and they didn't have the margarita ingredients for the machine for sale
Review 28:The room size, decore and attention to details
Review 29:Would have been nice not to be charged for valet parking considering the parking situation at the Island where the hotel is located.
Review 30:Everything really. The room was large and comfortable. Loved everything about it especially the fireplace and shower. Beds very comfortable.
Review 31:Very noisy in morning with loud banging of doors starting around 5am. Part of the problem is that there is no carpet to dampen the noise and the doors close automatically, which sounds like someone slamming the door shut.
Review 32:Location was great,
Review 33:Loved everything!
Review 34:This place was beyond AMAZING! We are already planning our next trip and wouldn't think of staying anywhere else. The staff, the cleanliness, the luxury was top notch!
Review 35:Parking was so far away from the resort . Wife does not like not having a bath tub ( shower only ). Beds have the wood rails around them which are shin busters !
Review 36:Cleanliness , location
Review 37:Amazing rooms and great location! This was my 2ND time staying at this wonderful hotel. Also, if you have time, do the 90 minute massage at St. Somewhere Spa (Heaven). If you are trying to decide between another hotel or this one, I promise if you choose this one you will not be disappointed!
Review 38:Parking extra $12 a day, plus tipping every time you need the car. Fireplace was a joke. 4ft from beds, with one desk chair in handicap room. We had envisioned sitting by the fireplace. No soap dish in showers. Lights too low for reading. No extra latch on door to hold it open.
Review 39:Helpfulness of staff. Closeness to shops.
Review 40:Breakfast not included!
Review 41:Beautiful hotel with an outstanding staff in a great location. Valet staff was absolutely amazing. Made you feel very welcome from the start. Rooms are spacious and beautiful. Looking forward to another "girlfriend" outing at this hotel very soon.
Review 42:parking was not convenient. a table in the room would have been more useful than the lounge type chair.
Review 43:location was great - close to shopping and restaurants. rooms and all areas visited were very clean.
Review 44:It was a very confusing walk to our hotel room....Long and elevators placed were even more confusing in trying to figure out which to get on to get to a specific area
Review 45:My husband & I arrived at the hotel about 2 hours before the 4 p.m. check-in. However, when I informed the front desk that we were already there, I was told by the young woman at the front desk that our room would be ready in about 30 minutes. But it was not. In fact, the room did not become available until about 10 mins after the 4 p.m. check-in time, which I was told was guaranteed. Apparently, this is an empty guarantee since there are no consequences for the hotel if a room is not available by the check-in time. I researched this and found none. I consider this a real problem, especially since my husband sat in the lobby for nearly two hours waiting for the room to become available. The front desk clerk should have never mentioned that our room would be available 30 minutes after we had arrived. When I confronted another desk clerk, a male, about the availability he only wanted to know who had told this to us. I consider this being somewhat defensive and very unprofessional. Also, when my husband and first entered our room, there was a very strong bleach odor that nearly made us naseous and have a headache. We had to leave the room until this odor dissipated. We informed two maids out in the hall about the strong bleach odor. But as we turned out of the hall toward an elevator, we heard a maid tell the other, "What do they want us to do about it." The bleach odor remained for our entire stay, although it had lessened in intensity over our stay. In closing, these incidents never would have occurred at the Margaritaville Hotel on Pensacola Beach. The staff there is very professional and accommodating. Although the hotel in Pigeon Forge is an excellent hotel, we'll never go back there.
Review 46:Its location on The Island in Pigeon Forge. The room was excellent, and my husband & I really liked the fireplace and the balcony overlooking Little Pigeon River.
Review 47:Would have liked to been able to purchase the drink mixes and alcohol packages from the bar to make personal drinks in the rooms.
Review 48:Loved the rooms, the views from the balconies, the personal frozen drink makers in our room, the location and especially the FIRE PIT! This was a wonderful stay and will plan to stay here again in the future.
Review 49:Someone dropped a lot of items in the dumpster right outside our window at 3:00 am, not good for restful nights sleep!
Review 50:The dancing water display was great!
Review 51:all my family of four we where very pleased starting from the front desk to the service, valet parking, defiantly we coming back w/more family members this time we are going to ask for fountain section.
Review 52:No breakfast offered :( Rooms were confusing to find.
Review 53:Staff was very friendly. Room was clean and nice. Loved the fireplace and the Luxury bathroom. Loved the pool in front of the Farris wheel. Loved the colored music fountain with the rocking chairs Love the River view... Best Location Ever! :)
Review 54:I thought the rooms were too pricey for the accommodations. The only chair in the room was a rolling office chair. There is a kitchenette, but no place to actually sit and enjoy a snack or drink.
Review 55:Convenient location.
Review 56:The young girl at the front was rude when I asked what the earliest we could check in. She advised 4 like the email said. When my husband and I started walking away she said to the other girl that was at the front that she wish they would put up a sign so people would stop coming in and asking like it was a bother to her. We only asked because the email from booking.com said that we could call or come in to see if a room was available for early check in. We left and ate lunch and came back at 4 to check in like the girl said, we then had to wait another 30 minutes because they still did not have our room available. When checking out the woman at the valet was making comments to the younger man about our truck bring parked out front so we could get our things from the room and bring them down. The walk from the room to the parking lot was LONG, my husband counted the steps and it was 650 from the truck to our room.
Review 57:The fireplace and close to shopping
Review 58:Needed a bottle opener in the room.
Review 59:Absolutely everything! The valet parking, staff, room, view, food at the restaurant all were wonderful. We couldn't have been more pleased.
Review 60:I feel that quest should be able to use the first parking lot If you park your own car even if you need to pay some extra for that spot and that valet should use the second parking lot.
Review 61:I like the view of the fountain. I liked the room did not have carpet.
Review 62:I'm a morning person - wish the stores would have opened a little earlier. The coffee shop was nice, but would like a continental breakfast for more selection.
Review 63:Loved the non-standard floors - felt cleaner than carpet. Loved the gas fireplace and space in our room! Excellent get-away for celebrating our 37th wedding anniversary.
Review 64:Yup need more self parking it was not good that when we returned to the island we could not find a parking spot. With the prices you charge for the room each guest should have a parking space.
Review 65:The rooms were awesome the best we have ever stayed in. The village was great to walk through and shop. The shower in are room was bigger than some room we stayed in.
Review 66:I had a health issue and found the location of my room (. 209r ) extremely to far from lobby. You could also use a laundry at the far end of hotel. I was forced to leave two days early due to the inconvenience. Show coupons in lobby would be a great convenience!
Review 67:The staff, room and other amenities were great!
Review 68:Margaritaville restaurant, our waiter was horrible. He was too busy messing around with other employees and forgot about his tables.
Review 69:The rooms were a lot bigger then normal hotel rooms, the river view was quiet which we liked. Plenty of shopping and restaurants on the island.
Review 70:No bad experience but , a few days of musac 10-10 is about enough. Definitely not somewhere for a 2 week stay
Review 71:New hotel, very clean and fresh, (still) enthusiastic staff, nice pool area, good location and - huge innovatively decorated rooms
Review 72:The only "issue" was the bench at the foot of the bed. We each ran into it (corner) and our friend (in the room next door) did the same. A rework of the design of the bench would be helpful. Otherwise, all was awesome!
Review 73:It was fresh and new. Loved the French doors opening up to the balcony. The view of the fountains was awesome. Bed was comfortable and loved the shower!
Review 74:Reception staff were extremely off hand and not at all helpful which surprised us as we have spent the past two weeks in America with nothing but excellent service. What a shame.
Review 75:Size of room Nice bathroom Away from the rougher areas in Pigeon Forge
Review 76:Traveled several hundred miles not knowing we could not check in before 4 pm. We explained our circumstance to the check in staff and was informed we would have to wait in the hotel lobby. After around 3 hours we asked for refund and we would go elsewhere. The check in staff informed the hotel manager and she quickly found us a room, wasn't the one we booked but it was close for my husband and we loved it.
Review 77:Love the Champagne the hotel provided us with for our 47th wedding anniversary. Everyone including the valet parking attendance staff were so courteous and kind when we needed our car. My husband was on a crutch and they took very good care of us.
Review 78:Nothing
Review 79:The island was great so much to do and the timber wood grill was one of the best places we ate. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Valet parking is the way to go.
Review 80:Waiting in line to eat needed more restaurants
Review 81:Close to a lot of things wanted river view but booked on line and did'nt check the right place I guess but all was good
Review 82:Staff were not friendly or helpful. Had to ask for things that should have been in room. An elevator was not working.
Review 83:Hotel was beautiful and in great location
Review 84:There was a margarita maker in the room but no ingredients to make one - seemed a bit pointless. Check in wasn't until 4 which seemed quite late.
Review 85:Beautifully presented hotel and the staff could not have been more helpful. Cocktails were lovely and we had priority seating in the Margaritaville restaurant.
Review 86:The parking lot for the hotel is too far from the hotel. In bad weather (heavy rain) the parking lot flooded. Since valet parking is provided, the valet parking should be further out, especially since you are paying for someone else to walk to/from your car.
Review 87:We loved every minute of our stay and will return!
Review 88:The room was pristine! Soft linens, cozy towels, fireplace in the room, keurig coffee maker, huge shower with dual shower heads. And that's just the room, the entire island was a dream! We ended our roadtrip in the best way possible staying here :)
Review 89:The only negative I can say is that for the price it would be nice if some sort of free breakfast was included.
Review 90:Loved rooftop pool and the balcony over looking the fountain.
Review 91:Everything was very good but the front desk people weren't very friendly.
Review 92:The island is the best area to be. The hotel is GORGEOUS! The rooms are very large & immaculate. The Margarita maker is an added bonus.
Review 93:The only thing that the hotel room needs is a full length mirror so you can see how you look. The only mirror is the one in the bathroom, which is high and not very well lit.
Review 94:I like the selection of restaurants on site and the close proximity to everything on the Parkway.
Review 95:I loved everything (and anybody who knows me knows I don't say that about anything). The hotel is EXTREMELY nice and the staff puts the cherry on top!
Review 96:It's really expensive
Review 97:It was a wonderful experience :) pool side margaritas, flowers petals on bed, bottle of champagne chilling in the fridge (thanks to the kind staff) Room had an amazing shower!
Review 98:Well let's see. First we had booked the Presidential suite. Halfway from Florida we get a call the suite was over booked so we were given a river view room that faces the back of a building. We were given a discount which helped a bit. Then we went to the pool and the bar ran out of liquor and mixers so we had to wait. That happened 2 more times. The third time it happened we proceeded to get drinks from our room and was quickly told we could not do that. This is after people had been doing it all day. So all in all it was not the experience we were expecting.
Review 99:The location was great.
Review 100:Need more restaurants.
Review 101:We were greeted with a smile. Enjoyed the shops, restaurants and fun things for the children right outside our hotel without driving.
Review 102:Hot tub was hot but could not get the jets to work.
Review 103:We liked that there was shopping, entertainment and good food right outside the front door. Will be even be even better when the spa opens. We really liked the pool area. Nice.
Review 104:We stayed for a full week and didn't have any big issues whatsoever. However, we did have pizza one night and accidentally dropped some sauce on the top blanket, which was our fault. But I just wish that the top blanket could have been replaced. They replaced plenty of towels and made sure that the bed was made daily, just not changed. That was not a huge deal, just something that I noticed. Other than that the only other small issue that we had was upon check-out. A room service charge that I had paid cash for was posted to my room and charged to my credit card as well, but after speaking with the very helpful guest service representative, they removed the charge immediately and placed those funds back into my account. All in all the trip to Margaritaville Island Hotel was a success and not only would I do it again in a heartbeat, I would highly recommend this place to visit if you are looking for a fun filled atmosphere that truly makes your vacation stand-out among others.
Review 105:We both loved how centrally located it was in Pigeon Forge but also to the surrounding cities. The whole place just has a wonderful, fun-filled atmosphere and honestly just makes it to where you do not want to leave.
Review 106:There was a cut toe nail in the end of the bed on the wooden frame and dust under the desk. The water with the shower leaks out onto the floor (I think that is just the way the shower is made).
Review 107:The little village environment, the entertainment, and the water show especially at night with the lights.
Review 108:The elevators were too far from mist of the rooms! Only one pool too many people! Adults really don't want screaming running kids out on the patio and pool area all the time either!
Review 109:The only negative is weak wifi and cell service.
Review 110:I loved the atmosphere and decor of the hotel. It's also in the best location, you don't even have to leave the island if you don't want to.
Review 111:we were far away from the elevator and had to walk a long way to the room i have very bad knees and when i told them they gave me a wheelchair we appreciated it
Review 112:Had a wonderful 31 year anniversary trip. Loved the stay, except for getting locked in the women's pool bathroom for about 30 minutes. The doorlock broke and would not open. It took the maintenance staff awhile to get me out.
Review 113:loved the the way it all was laid out. the village.
Review 114:i did not see breakfast. the paula deens opened 6 days after we left. plenty of other places near by,but nearer the hotel would have been great
Review 115:the bell man named dillon was wonderful what an asset to the hotel, great personality, very helpful
Review 116:Requested early check-in and never received a response from the hotel. Called several times day of check-in and was told my room would be available within an hour on three separate occasions. Arrived at hotel 30 minutes prior to 4:00 PM check-in time and room was not ready. Checked again at 4:15 and was told room was not available. Finally asked for a manager and was given a room shortly after. When charging a premium for a room I would expect "premium" service. Not having a room available at check-in time is unacceptable. You would expect this at a lower price point facility.
Review 117:Location is excellent. Very convenient and centrally located to all attractions in Pigeon Forge.
Review 118:had a noisy water line buzzing the last night but the staff quickly offered and moved us to anoyher room
Review 119:We were down for the car show and the location was great for walking to the show or up town
Review 120:I didn't like having to go out for breakfast. and wished I could have parked closer and not have to walk so far to the parking area from the hotel. the vending machines didn't work correctly; it cost me $12 for 3 soft drinks, when the price was $2.50 each.
Review 121:it was a lovely and homey hotel with nice fireplaces and they made all of my family feel welcome. the cutest little shopping area and close to children entertainment like Ferris wheel & riding things.
Review 122:Took a long time for the room to cool off. The only vent that I could see was right at the entrance way at the door. The air didn't circulate into the room. Was a long walk from the lobby to our room which was near the pool.
Review 123:The room was very spacious and comfortable.
Review 124:Nothing bad. I would like to see the hotel offer some type of free breakfast on site as part of the room package.
Review 125:The Island and hotel were easy to get to. The hotel was clean with easy access to parking. The Island provided s lot of easily accessible shops and dining. The fountain is must see and just set in a rocker and watch.
Review 126:I was so impressed with this hotel. It was the most spacious room I've ever had. Amenities awesome. Best Shower ever! Cleanliness outstanding and staff amazing! You don't even have to leave the grounds. I will be a repeat customer
Review 127:the bed in or room was to hot it held heat and the comforter was to thick
Review 128:the bar tindEr was great Amber kept the drinks coming and offered many Different things to drink and if she didn't know how to make it she would Google iti
Review 129:The hotel and staff is amazing. They was there for all our needs and wants with a smile each and every time. The hotel and Island is so very clean and BEAUTIFUL!
Review 130:My only complaint is the noise at night when I was trying to sleep. I heard stuff all night. Not sure why but I did. I heard another person say the same thing at the front desk.
Review 131:Loved our room, all the furnishings and the space. The shower was heavenly. Very comfortable bed! I like the shops and the rides and games located on the island.
Review 132:My kids were disappointed there was no indoor pool and the one night we wanted to use the outdoor pool/hot tub, the staff closed it early and saw we were walking that way in our swim suits but instead of stopping and telling us they had closed it early, they walked by and let us continue to go. Spoke with management concerning the issue and she was very nice and made up for the inconvenience.
Review 133:Staff were very friendly and helpful with packing, unpacking, and checking in/out. Room/hotel was very clean. Loved the room (especially the walk in shower!) :) Loved being on the island where there was so much to do with the kids such as shop, eat, ride rides, and the arcade. Cannot wait to come back!!
Review 134:Bed was way too soft, felt like I sank in it. Parking is inconvenient. You have to walk to an adjacent parking lot. In bad weather you would get soaked.
Review 135:Loved the location with shops right on the property. Room was clean and beautiful. Cool décor.
Review 136:They need an indoor pool or at least a heated one for the off season. It would also be helpful to have tequila available (in this dry area) to use the free margaritaville machine in the room....
Review 137:The bar manager made our stay a good experience! She was awesome!
