Review 1：- kitchen was equipped very basically, one oven did not work, no matching grid for the oven - breakfast was rather simple

Review 2：+ wonderful location directly at the lake, though not close to town centre + lovely house + parking lot + showers and toilets clean and running

Review 3：Overpriced same price as some hotels in town and here you have to clean your room. There is a sign that says ' our prices are so low because you help us clean ' but the first part of that statement is not true. Also, there is a ridiculous rule that you have to wear plastic covers around your shoes inside. That feels very patronizing, also considering the money you pay.

Review 5：The hostel is right next to a beautiful lake and the area is absolutely beautiful. The staff were extremely friendly and even accommodated my very early morning starts. It is a bit further from the city centre but the peacefulness and beauty of the surroundings and the well kept hostel make up for it.

Review 6：The receptionists didn't show up the day we arrived, they just left the key on the desk so we could get in our room. It didn't matter at all, but as they made a mistake, (we got a dorm for 4 people (with 2 bunk beds, not so romantic for a couple..) instead of the twin room we had booked), we had to wait the day after to get our room.

Review 7：The room had a view on the lake, great! And the silence was very enjoyable. The hotel is about 6km away from the city and 2,5km from a commercial zone, which makes the locations very peaceful and quiet, but at the same time easy to access and to get food to the supermarket. The kitchen was very functional.

Review 10：Noise from the beach. Our room was on the 3rd floor and no AC. Windows had to be open and the beach was noisy at times.

Review 12：The staff was absent on arrival and didn't even answer the phone which caused stress after a long trip. They called back soon of course. When I questioned the extra payments for sheets that wasn't mentioned on the booking site the receptionist was quite rude and treated me as a liar. I later found a reference to those fees at the verification e-mail near the bottom, but still not on the booking page, as with other hostels. We ended up paying the price of a 3-4 star hotel for one night.

Review 14：Very helpful staff who offered us drying soaked clothes (we caught rain in the very last kilometres of cycling) in the machine-dryer. On the house! Neat and peaceful place to stay overnight after hard day spent on bikes.

Review 33：I have now stayed three times at the hostel. It is everything one needs - quiet, clean and comfortable. The early breakfast left for me was good ( I had to leave the hostel before the breakfast buffet was available.)

Review 38：While there 2-3 restaurants close by, they are not open every day, and if they are closed good luck finding any food -- we were there two nights and neither time was there any food available so we had to go to the grocery store to get dinner. if you don't have your own linens it is about the same price as a hotel; staff were not particularly friendly.

This place is probably a good value if you: plan on spending 4-5 nights; are staying with kids; have your own linens, don't buy the breakfast, and use the kitchen to make your own food. Also if you are lucky to have nice weather the beach is nice. Otherwise consider a hotel.

Review 44：This was my second stay at Evedal. The hostel is well located and offers easy access to the road network. The booking was easy to make over the net. The entrance hall, kitchen and bedroom were spotlessly clean. The toilet and shower roomn were also spotless. The staff were friendly and helpful. We slept well in a quiet room and had a good stay.
