Review 1：Meals in the evening don't start until after 8pm. Dakar is expensive but the hotel here is also quite dear for what it is.

Review 2：Nice quiet location with lovely garden and pool near the coast. Great place to relax away from the hustle and bustle of central Dakar. Rooms are clean and spacious and breakfast was fantastic. Great nearby restaurants by the coast.

Review 4：The hotel rooms were very well designed and comfortable and very clean. The manager and staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was excellent. I really liked the fact that all the lights in the room worked and there were a lot of plugs for computers, cell phone etc. It was a quiet location near several excellent restaurants.

Review 5：The receptionist, Fatimatu Binto Sall is one of the most professional and supportive receptionists I have ever met! She went way out of her way to help me out and made my stay at La Residence really unforgettable.

Review 6：This hotel is kinda pricey.. For the rate we paid, a welcome bottle of water in the room would have been nice!!! and maybe even some fresh fruits..especially if you get in late!! The pool should definitely be cleaned more than once a week. We only had breakfast there once: we did not like that the juice was not fresh, also the stuff were not that friendly.

Review 7：I picked this hotel because of the location: it's on the corniche so you can walk to lots of places to eat/drink/chill, right on the ocean. We also felt very safe in the neighborhood. It's far from the city, which is nice (Dakar is noisy!), and yet you can taxi anywhere for less than 5$ ( don't forget to bargain!). It's less than 10 mins away from the airport. This hotel is very, very clean. The bed was big and comfortable. There were no mosquitoes in the room, and they offer you a bug spray to spray it.

Review 34：The pool at the time was half full and seemed that wasn't able to be used, again I didn't have time anyway during my stay, but that is the only negative comment I can think of - and it wasn't even an issue for me!

I was able to leave my bags and valuables with the front desk after checking out, for the whole day and did not fear for one second that my belongings were unsafe. The breakfast was really good (pastries, bread, natural yogurt, jams, eggs any style, fresh juice, coffee, fresh fruit) - I just wish I'd had more time in the mornings to enjoy it instead of having to rush off to work. Also, I was silly and locked my safety box and was unable to get in - the staff were really helpful, retrieved my stuff for me and also made sure I knew how to work it for future use. Overall great stay and I will stay again next time I am in this area of Dakar.

Review 37：The staff and management team were helpful, pleasant, and accomodating and went out of their way to make us feel welcome, safe and comfortable. The rooms and grounds are spacious, tranquil, ultra clean and well maintained.. We looked forward to our breakfasts, especially the homemade yogurt! The location, away from a main road and near the ocean, created a quiet haven for rest and relaxation. Easy access to taxis to take us where ever we needed to go.
