Review 1：Have become accustomed to non-smoking environments in the US. Smoky lounge and common areas tend to allow foul smell into room hallways. That being said, there was no smoky smells in the room itself. Just anytime exiting the room or in common areas I was immediately confronted with cigarette smells.

Review 2：Friendly & very supportive staff, modern current decor, clean, comfortable, above average restaurant and menus.

Review 3：Minibar and hotel bar prices are too high for Craiova, even for Romania. 2,5 euro for a self made espresso in the room isn't fair.

Review 7：You know, sometimes, not to often, I lack words. The choice of accommodation was purely a coincidence. Our car broke down and we had to stop in Craiova. This was the nearest hotel to where the car stopped, so we choose this. What a hotel, what a staff. If you have nothing to do in Craiova you should go there because of Golden house hotel. Nothing bad about Craiova, and nothing bad about Romania, but this is a hotel and staff I would not expect to find there, if anywhere.

Review 8：Housekeeping would open the window most days. If your Air conditioner will not turn on check to see that your window is closed. There is a sensor that will shut it off. The hotel can be a bit tricky to find the first time. You will need a GPS to navigate all the roundabouts

Review 9：Very friendly staff and a great selection of items for the free breakfast. All of the items I had from their restaurant were also excellent. I chose to park on the street because it was much more convent to get out in the morning. There is a small secure parking area. They will fit you in but then you will be blocked in. They will also get your car out for you but it may take a few minutes to complete the shuffle. The air conditioning stayed nice and cold and the shower water was nice and hot. Excellent WIFI in the room, but pretty much unavailable at breakfast area. But you should be eating not texting there.

Review 11：The hotel, only a couple of years old, has large and elegantly appointed rooms, Its garden is delightful, and the location across the park and close to downtown are great. The staff was friendly and helpful.

Review 12：I was travelling on my own across Europe and this was the first hotel where I was met by a lovely porter who carried my bag to my room. The room was huge and had the best bath, big and comfy! I had my evening meal of scallops and tuna which was delicious and well priced. I was given a choice at breakfast including croissants, omelette, toast and fresh fruit. Across from the hotel is a lovely park which was convenient for walking the dog. Overall I highly recommend this hotel and will definately visit again.

Review 13：It was a little disappointing that there was no non-dairy milk option, but that was a tiny consideration given the high standard of everything else.

Review 14：The staff were wonderfully helpful, offering us recommendations for local restaurants and calling us a taxi, all very polite and helpful. Rooms were beautiful, huge, and perfectly clean, and also cool enough to be comfortable. Extremely comfortable beds, and the bathroom was immaculate and well fitted out. Coffee at breakfast was great - freshly ground and made, and the food was good too.

Review 16：Right by a nice park and 5-10 mins to center of town. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Example - put in an extra cot for us even though we had one so as to save getting it from the car. Car parking off street in empty site. Luggage was carried to the hotel for us. Nice big rooms and breakfast was good.

Review 20：Excellently decorated. Loved the Mucha posters/paintings and skylight. The live musician duo that played at dinner was a pleasant surprise. The newer building where the large guest rooms are is well decorated and furnished. Very clean. Easy access through the lounge to the old part of the house where checkin in and dinner are located.
