Review 1：The staff is absolutely wonderful - friendly, courteous, and extremely helpful not to mention highly engaging. The grounds are most pleasant as they are dotted with lovely, well kept little gardens. The surrounding neighborhood is lively and replete with a variety of gastronomic venues.Our 5-year-old boy insists that we mention the tasty.groundnuts provided gratis in the rooms.

Review 2：excellent position close the airport; cool pool in the resort and clean private beach available for customers. An island of peace after your flight in Dakar or before to leave it. The staff is the best I've seen in 15 days changing hotel in Senegal, kindly and smiling!

Review 3：Don't believe the rubbish about being on the beach front. You have to cross a busy road to get to a deserted beach with zero facilities.

Review 4：Helpful staff. Close to airport. Located a three pin adapter. But really ought to have more available for the international traveler. Decent bar. Decent breakfast but having to pay 1000 francs for a refill of coffee was ridiculous.

Review 5：The restaurant owner (possibly hotel owner) is arrogant and unwelcoming. The rooms are incredibly dark, damp and the floors will make you never want to take your shoes off. The reception area is also a little off putting, although I think it was undergoing a renovation?? The WIFI is barely detectable in the rooms and when it is it bounces in and out.

Review 6：The price is good ($70). The hotel and restaurant staff are great with the exception one who wouldn't serve me. Most of the staff speak both French and English. They have a private beach, although not connected to the hotel (about 150 m away), which has a cute little beach restaurant and WIFI. The complimentary breakfast was amazing, actually all of the food was fantastic.

Review 9：The shower was blocked and leaked soaking all of my clothes in the bedroom. There was water all over the floor. I also booked in for a second night as I was flying at 10 pm and even though it was my 4th stay they still charged me full price. I will not be back. The breakfast was also terrible. The omelets were grey.

Review 14：Fantastic service, very nice and helpful staff. Calm compound, perfect to relax by the pool. I like the bungalow-style where you step from your house in the garden (with small patio); I prefer it to having a room in a row of rooms with no direct access to the outside.

Review 17：Staff was in average friendly and 2 of them went out of the way to provide the Extra little factor when we expressed an issue. but We didn't like that they are not attentive enough as one night we waited almost 2 hours for a diner and try to grab the staff attention where we were seating was a total disaster. there were like 6 waiters hanging around the pool and still none would make themselves available. once we expressed our disappointment the very next day they tried to please us as much as they could .

Review 23：I had to leave for the airport very early and was offered a breakfast at the reception which included nescafe coffee, it wasn't possible to get a real espresso. Staff were friendly overall but a bit slow. Shower was so so (head kept falling down).

Review 25：The rooms where so comfy and the staff where really helpful. It was 5 minutes from the hotel so ideal after a long flight. The bar was busy and had live music on the Saturday night and was a nice way to start our trip. The breakfast was so nice and we ate it around the pool. They also have the own private beach a couple of minutes walk from the hotel that was like another world.

Review 30：The Staff was incredibly helpful, kind and honest. Upon arrival, the staff let us know what amenities were available at the hotel and when. In addition information was provided both in French and English. On our last day we forgot an electronic device behind but the hotel staff found it and secured it. They held onto it until I could return to pick it up a few days later. Also the bed was extremely comfortable; the wifi was helpful to have available; and the breakfast that came with our stay was generous and delicious!

Review 32：The staff at Hotel Sunugal was incredibly helpful and kind. They helped my daughter and I secure reliable and trustworthy taxi for an evening. The staff gave immediate attention to resolve a minor issue in our room (running toilet). The breakfast served each morning in the hotel restaurant poolside was delicious with very generous servings. Though the wifi did not always work in our room it did most of the time. However, wifi was very reliable in the restaurant, poolside and at reception area which met our needs. The bed was so comfortable with multiple pillows it was hard to leave! Finally, when we accidentally left an electronic device behind the hotel staff found it and kept it safe until we could return three days later to pick it up before leaving Senegal. How often does that happen?!?! We stayed at another higher rated hotel in another city St Louis, Senegal but found it did NOT meet the high standards we quickly expected as a result of our stay at Hotel Sunugal. Great to see they have installed mosquito nets! Well run hotel, everything done to help as much as possible, always with a smile. Will definitely come back here.

Review 70：We were under the impression the hotel was located directly on the beachwhich is not the case, although only a 5-10 minute walk. Wifi did notwork in our room which was out of range. Wifi at the hotel receptionworked fine though, and gave us a chance to socialize with staff.
