Motel Smoky Shadows sells fast on our site. This motel is on Little Pigeon River just a 5-minute drive from Dollywood and features an indoor pool. Free WiFi is provided throughout the hotel and in all rooms.
A microwave and a small refrigerator are included in every room at the Smoky Shadows motel. Each room is also equipped with cable TV and tea- and coffee-making facilities. Some rooms have a spa tub.

Review 1：Main complaint would be the pool was small and was over run with young kids everyday.

Review 3：The pavement between balcony and river was covered with cigarette butts. A lot of cigarette butts.

Review 5：The beds were beyond hard. The grounds were not clean. We stayed in a river view room and there were thousands of cigarettes littering the pavement. Rooms are large but dated.

Review 7：The room wasn't the room I booked. It had a water spots above the bath. One trash can , blinds broke,sink dipped ,toilet top was broken off and had a huge gap. No do not disurb plack. Only two luggage carrier's to all the rooms. Dirty carpet, and hair dryer was broken ,phone was messed up and trash from rooms in the hallway cause it wasn't taken out that day .

Review 9：When we checked in the first rooms bed was broke. They moved us to another room. The bed had a roach crawling on it. They forgot to change in the computer our room so in the middle of the night someone came in our room because they had given it to them. Phone and blow dryer didn't work. Deactivated our key the next day. We kept having to go to the front desk.

Review 13：Indoor pool area was too cold to enjoy when out of the water, hotel was in disrepair, door that was meant to be locked and only unlocked with key card by elevator, you could open by pulling it open, in our room they still had the older tvs, skirting on beds were ripped, the blinds on the door were missing slats, the security bolt on the top of the entrance door was broken off, no continental breakfast only coffee, and the wifi didn't work all that well.

Review 22：Jacuzzi tub did not work. Indoor pool had open or broken windows so it actually felt like an outdoor pool. The pool was down for maintenance the second day we were there. The toilet tank took an hour to fill up.

Review 24：The blinds were borke and instead of just replacing one strip that needed they placed a paper towel over it. The coffee pot was never cleaned out I had to do it. Plus one of the other bed was broken as well.

Review 34：I think the outside pool should be cleaned. It's an eye sore. As well as the hotel/motel on each side of Smoky Shadows. The elevator is very slow and there is only one.

Review 36：Too many dogs. The hall way smelled of wet pet and urine. Numerous times from inside our room we heard dogs barking in their rooms. Within hours after we entered our room our sinuses became irritated, our eyes watered, and our noses stuffy. Within hours after check out everything cleared up. We are allergic to pet dander. Perhaps a half hall of rooms should be reserved for pets and no one else. I know that our culture is becoming more pet oriented. And I respect that. But I think more consideration should be given to those of us who have allergies to pets, whose ears would prefer not to hear dogs barking in a nearby room, and whose noses prefer not smelling wet pets and pet urine.

Review 37：We loved the location, and price. The room was spacious and reasonably priced. And we loved the indoor pool. I was pleasantly surprised with the pool. The water temp was wonderfully warm. It felt so good when the outside air temp was in the 30s and 40s.

Review 38：Could not check in to room until after 6:00 p.m. because it had not been cleaned. Ask for refund but were moved to another room instead. Seemed to be under staffed and only minimum cleaning performed. Could not turn off balcony light which made sleeping difficult. No Wi-Fi.

The shower was filthy with trash from previous guest. The floor was dirty. Wall coming off jacuzzi that was missing a knob. Broken blinds on door to balcony. There was visible trash in the hall they never vacuumed up.

Review 50：We tried to call the front desk to get blankets as none were in the room. We didn't get an answer even after repeated rings!! the time was about 10:30 pm. My reservation through booking.com said no breakfast was served so we ate out.

Review 54：Ridiculous!!!!! 1 Elevator for 160 Rooms, had to walk down/up 8Flights of stairs because it was Constanty Busy/full in the morningwhen trying to check out/Housekeeping using the elevator with hugecarts-NO room for guests!!!!! Definitely needs Another Elevator!!!!

Review 108：Back door lock was broken which reduced my feeling of security. No on site security personnel. Blinds on balcony door were badly damaged which permitted viewing into the room. It took a good two to three minutes for hot water to come through. Bed skirts were badly torn and easily tripped me. The sheets would not stay on the bed and bunched up during sleep from normal sleep position changes. One of the guests had their vehicle stolen during the night.

Review 109：Although were unable to use it, the indoor pool was warm and would have been very relaxing. The roar of the river and the use of the balcony were great! Location to all attractions, the park and Gatlinburg was fantastic. Very pet friendly with plenty of places to walk your pet. Pancake vouchers were great for free breakfast if you like pancakes. The pet charge of $10/day per pet was reasonable.

Review 110：The beds are so hard I had a bruise on my hip. Staff was not cleaning along side the bed or behind the nightstand. Couldn't use the balcony chairs because they were never cleaned and covered in bird poop.

There were blood stains on the sheets and pillow cases. The vent in the bathroom sounded like a jet about to take off for the first 2 minutes, then quieted down. The fireplace did not work. The jacuzzi in the room was covered in hair and residue. The pillows are made of plastic and remind you of being in a nursing home; only to be outdone by the rock hard mattress which is years past its due date to be replaced.

The view was of the river. the Jacuzzi was out dated but our kids loved it with bubbles lol. The swimming pool is small but again our kids enjoyed it. We would stay here again.

Review 131：It was very noisy! Walls must be really thin. Had to go make a complaint at 2 am. Although it wasn't really the hotels fault people were being loud, but the walls must be pretty thin if we could hear everyone from all around us.

Review 138：The room we stayed in was great! It was very large and spacious. We had a wonderful view of the river right outside while sitting on the balcony. I was weary because of the mixed reviews, but out stay was very pleasant. I checked the bed first thing, and we didn't have bed bugs like previous reviews. It is an older hotel, but very well maintained.
